Hi everyone!!! It's an absolutely gorgeous day here in San Antonio! I wish I was outside enjoying it instead of stuck here in the office. Le sigh!!!

I ran my first 30 min run of C25K yesterday and wow... it was all sorts of exhausting, yet exhilirating and empowering at the same time! When I started C25K, I had a "let's see what happens" attitude about it. I had no idea I'd be able to run 30 mins straight but I can. And it's so amazing! I'm not quite running a 5K in the 30 mins yet but that's my goal. Hit 5K within 30 mins and then continue to work on my time. I'm making running goals, who would've thunk I'd be doing something like that? Not me!

ShylahEQ: Thanks :)

Jigglefree: :congrat: for your achievements :balloons:

Mkyice: you are trying, and that it is more important than the goal itself.

Northern Exposure: Thanks :) I feel less motivated than a few weeks ago, but although I will try to stay on plan the rest of the week. Monday will be day one again. I understand your feeling about being nervous for the weight in day.

Jdonato: :goodluck: in your exam.

Katy05: :congrat: for your first 30 min run of C25K

I'm going to try my first attempt at adding pictures, y'all!

The first one is of Me and my kids last Easter and the second one is of us this Easter (we were dying eggs that's why the baby is naked). The third one is a pic of my last year's blue Easter dress tag (20W) and this year's yellow Easter skirt tag (Medium!).

Something has been niggling at me the last few weeks and I feel dishonest either decision I make. Y'all may think it's a little thing, but I wanted to bring it up here for accountability.

On my ticker I have my starting weight from when I started here at 3FC this year. But in all my other "life" I count my starting weight at 241 because that's where I really started from this "go 'round." So when I tell people what I've lost in real life it's been 36 pounds so far.

I've wanted to change my ticker to match my in real life total, but I didn't want to seem fishy here.

Should I leave it at my 3FC starting weight or fix it to reflect what I think of as my true weight loss?

aluxa 04-08-2010 12:49 PM

Susieyard: you look much younger now. Your kids are beautiful!!! I think that it will be ok to put the 241 as your starting weight because it was your real starting weight although the first pounds were lost before 3fat chicks. :congrat: for your 36 pounds!!!!

ShylahEQ 04-08-2010 02:05 PM

Susie - I used my starting weight from the beginning of my journey. I started in December 2009 at 292. When I joined 3FC I was at 270 I believe.

I say be proud of all of your accomplishment!

Ugh. I have not been going to the gym as often as I should, but I have been commuting on my bike every day. I just tried out a faux bike computer on my phone and it looks like I'm getting a pretty great workout, so that makes me feel better. Also, I got a bike rack and have been doing all of my shopping (grocery, Target, the mall) on my bike so I'm still on track weight-wise.

susieyarb 04-08-2010 05:15 PM

Aluxa: Thanks for thinking I look younger now :O) I NEED to since I'm 42 and have a one year old!!!

Shylah: I went ahead and changed my stats, thanks for encouraging me that it's ok! I feel more honest now and less confused :O) Plus I noticed an added benefit I'd not realized before - I'm over half way to goal!!

Ricepaper: How cool that you can use your bike to do everything! That's awesome exercise.

Susie--First of all, CUTE FAM!!! second of all, regarding tickers...I use my highest weight (which was when I started to diet) but didn't start here on 3FC until had lost almost 30lbs...I just labelled the ticker "Since June 2008" so that it shows when I had reached that high and started my downward journey :) Hope that helps! Glad you made a decision...and PLUS, make 241 your start weight on your ticker allows you to see the overall progress you've made...36lbs!! AWESOME! PLUS, as you said, over half way to goal!!!

Katy05--Congrats on 30min!!! I know I was super excited my first time! It feels great, huh?!?!?!

Aluxa--good job realizing you may have fallen off the wagon but are ready to get back on!! You can do it!!!

rice--good idea about commuting/shopping w/your bike!! wish I could do that...I just live too far out of the city! LoL

jdon--Hope your test goes well tonight! AND awesome job resisting taco bell when your drunk hubby fell off the wagon! lol I don't think I could've resisted...

jiggle---Thanks for the daily encouragement! You're sooo cheery and it brightens my day when I sign on and read your posts!! also, nice job rockin the skirt yesterday!!!

AS FOR ME, I'm still OP with my April Experiement (that's what I'm now calling my NO carbs/choc/donuts/weighing plan) It's getting extremely hard not weighing every day...I'm sooo excited I get to weigh tomorrow...I just "FEEL" like I'm at a new low!! I would be ecstatic if I'm at 175.something...not sure if I posted here or on my blog, but it's now hard for me to get all my allotted 1500cal/day on this new plan...the carbs usually took a big hunk of calories at dinner and the majority of the last 3-5 days have been between 1150 and 1350 calories...but I also haven't been exercising very much (bc of OT at work) so I guess the low cals MIGHT be a good thing...we shall see tomorrow!!! OOOOH I CAN'T WAIT!!!

aluxa 04-08-2010 11:06 PM

KDM:thanks for the encouragement and :goodluck: tomorrow!

julesp313 04-08-2010 11:12 PM

OK, I am way behind on posts! But I think I'm finally on the upswing from this cold - today was better than yesterday, and yesterday was the worst day so far, so that bodes well. I miss working out - I haven't done anything since last Tuesday, but I really felt that resting and getting myself well again was the most important thing. I figure I'll take tomorrow off from working out, ride my horse both weekend days, then start up again next week with the gym and swimming. I feel so much better when I work out in the morning so I need to get back into the habit.

Hopefully everyone will come out of the Easter slump and find their groove again!

fruitlady 04-08-2010 11:28 PM

Hi, hope everyone is ready for the weekend! I know I am, I'm finally done with the patio. I think it looks good, but it really was challenging since I never laid pavers for an area this large. I'm used to doing everything myself around here, my husband is so lazy( glued to the T.V) and he only works 5 or 6 hrs a day, 5 days a week! I had 1150 cal. today considering I worked hard all day. Not much of an appetite, my stomach hurt a little. That's ok, I still have weight to lose for the challenge.

NightAngel26 04-09-2010 07:27 AM

personals...

fruitlady- I've never done anything like that.... although I'm not sure my bf would ever get around to it if it were on the list, and I get impatient... I do most things here as well. And, mine doesn't work so far as I can tell....*sigh* we do what we can I guess.

julesp313- horse riding is cool. I've never done it but most people I know like it...

KDM322- Good luck with that weigh in, I'm sure it will be great!

susieyarb- hey, I changed mine to reflect my starting weight before 3fc... I had lost 5 lbs previously...I felt like it would seem weird too, but looking at it every bit I considered it taking from my accomplishment not changing it... so it changed... 255 instead of 250... I'd say if it's real for you and you want to show it, go for it!

NightAngel26 04-09-2010 07:28 AM

hey...

well I'm finally down, 2 lbs--- to 225... so 10 lbs left for this month to go... eh good to see progress! and a new low in I have no idea how many years! 5? 7? ... :carrot:

susieyarb 04-09-2010 07:41 AM

Pretty happy with my weigh in this morning another 3 pounds saying "bye bye!"

Now, just 3 more pounds to my Arbor Day Goal and ONE-DERLAND!!!
