I do really well with calorie counting for about two weeks and then get annoyed with it and give up, and within a few days end up gaining every pound I lost back. So my main goal for this challenge is to stick with it the whole time. My second goal is to be anywhere below 175, thats where I usually give up at.

~in a hurry cause I am still super tired from 5 hours of dental work & the medicine I took before hand~I know the lady that did my fillings was proboly thankful to get rid of me & be done with my teeth! ~LOL I was a pain in her butt I would assume~had an asthma attack during the fillings & Plus had anxiety still ~Not as major as usual but enough she had to give me reaks in between.
The dentist switched me to a numbing shot that didn't last as lng But I didn't have heart palipitations from it~Like I did from the other~I had to get 3 sets of numbing shots But It was much better than 2 days of heart scare afterwards! ~My teeth are looking fabulously Better so I am very excited!! I have a long ways to go yet But I can smile with pride now...So thats a plus. Welcome to the challenge vickie!! Hugs to everyone else~Will type a little more 2morrow.Thanks to all those of you with kind words! I am ready to fall to sleep so I gotta log off~TTYL~! ~oh new weight today for me~159.2 |
Well, the scale went back down to 179.4 where I was on Monday...but for some reason (well, probably bc TOM is approaching) I have been a very bad girl these past couple days!!! Between donuts, cake, and pizza...it's a wonder I'm not back in the 190s! hahaha But I've exercised each day so maybe that's helpin...atleast a little teeny bit! lol I actually haven't gone TOO far over my calories surprisingly...But as I said above, TOM should be here by this weekend so maybe that has somethin to do w/the increase...i originally thought it was from the wine & food I ate over the weekend, but usually water weight will come right back off in a day or 2...SO WHO KNOWS!?!?!?! but I'm just rambling now, so I'll shut up...
Lori--How was the dentist?!?! Hope it all went well for ya! Jamlei--CONGRATS on 3lbs! that's awesome!!! myjourney & didi & vicki--WELCOME & GOOD LUCK!!! zoo-a kitchen scale is a BIG HELP! I LOVE MINE! jules--sorry to hear about your boot camp dilemma...hope you can figure somethin out...but your mousse sounds DEE-lish! do you just follow the pudding directions & add a tub of cool whip free??? fruit--you've already come so far...I know you've said 105 is your "feel good weight", but what if your body just has a normal fluctuation of 105-110?? and the FF ready whip sounds soo good..might have to try that miss--good to hear you had a great day!! BOOO to TOM!! LoL Katie816--before I joined 3fc, I never stuck w/a plan more than 2 months...but I've been pretty much "OP" since mid Sept and it's all bc these ppl!!! So, hopefully we can help you stay OP longer than 2wks...YOU CAN DO IT!!! we have faith in ya! jdon--it sucks you guys had a fight, but I can understand your frustration...but hopefully after graduation, he'll have a big surprise for ya!! try not to be too hard on him :) well, I'm off to run on the TM...Good Night Ya'll! |
well, looks like Lori posted a dentist update while I was typing....so glad to hear it was better than last time.....CONGRATS ON THE NEW LOW!!! Your gonna be at goal before you know it!!!

Lori, I haven't been in on this challenge but just took a moment to read some of the latest posts. I'm so glad that to hear that this dentist appointment went so well--in spite of the shots.

Hello everyone, thanks for all your kind thoughts and yes I got decently tan on my vacation even with my high powered sun block!! :) haha. Looks like some of what I gained was water weight because I am down 3 pounds this morning. so only 17 more pounds to lose. I think i may make my goal a little bigger, not sure yet.
jdonato: hope you get everything figured out chica, i have a few friends going through similar situations and I know its extremely stressful to them. keep your head up! :) My cousin dated her boyfriend for almost 8 years before they got engaged and then another 2 until they finally got married!! lori: congrats on the weight!!!!!! :) |
I have so slacking on posting. I have been trying to wrap my mind around the perceived slow down. Since I changed my workout it doesn't seem to be as effective. I was thinking this morning about what I was doing previously. But then I got frustrated with someone at work with a project and went to the gym and walked for 20 minutes and then I did uphill walking for 10 minutes. I was sweating and I feel pretty good.
I'm looking at the source of my calories for the day to make sure they are mostly veggies, fruit and protein. I think for the past couple of weeks I've had too many carbs even though I've been in my calorie budget. On a brighter note, I'm feeling really excited about the resistance bands. Those things are great. |
Thanks kdm~Emileigh & farn~In a hurry got a little pain going on today~UGH~~~Nothing major but my mouth is sore...Will tpe again tonight or in the morning~HUGS EVERYONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!

Just checking in with the Arbor Day gang :O)
I ended my day yesterday at 1544 and for exercise I did the Tae-bo Power workout (kicked my bootie) and then I went straight to the treadmill and did 2.25 miles for a little extra boost. I'm sore today, which I knew I would be after Tae-bo so I took it easy on exercise today and did 2.1 miles on the TM. I'm on track for my calories so far today. JDonato: I sent you the recipe, but I forgot to tell you to add a small can of tomato paste. I meant to put it in mine, but ended up I didn't have any. It shouldn't add but a couple extra calories per cup. Sorry you and the BF are at odds right now. Hopefully the after graduation thing is in the plans?? Jiggle: I completely understand where you're coming from on being frustrated with the slow down. I have examined my plan and been tweaking for two weeks. One thing I did realize is that I had slowed down on my water so I've made a better effort this week to get that water down the hatch! I also think I was over-exercising on the day/night before weigh in's. That experiment is still in progress. Just keep on keeping on - slowly but surely we'll be wearing those size 10's again!! I wore my new size 16 jeans to church last night and they were sagging! As I took them off last night I thought, maybe I should pass these on to Jiggle soon :O) As soon as a piece of clothing is absolutely too big, I get rid of it. I don't want any big clothes in the house once I meet my goal. Farn: I'll bet you look really glowing if you've got a bit of tan in MN! I have a friend in Becker and the snow and cold starts to get to them. They're originally from FL! Keep up with the good losses, you're doing great. Lori: I'm glad you made it through the dentist and are feeling happy about your newly emerging smile! Can't wait to see the finished product with a picture of you at goal with a big ol' smile! I'll try to catch up with the rest of you later, I've got to go pick my dd up fromm school! |
Oh my gosh, I haven't posted much at all lately! I definitely am more accountable when I post more often so I need to dedicate more time to checking in. So....I've been unusually hungry all week and I'm not sure why. Perhaps because TOM is around the corner? Whatever it is, it sure is annoying. I've been hovering around 190lbs all week. Ugh. Can't seem to break the 190 mark yet. Bummer! Here's to breaking 190 come Monday's weigh in (or before!!).
Does anyone eat peanut butter on a daily basis? I've been finding myself eating it almost daily for the last couple of weeks. Less than a tbsp a day. Just wondering if I'm eating it too often. As for C25K, I'm doing W7D2 today. 25 more mins of non-stop running ahead! I'm actually excited. How sick of me! Haha. I'm wishing everyone well. Enjoy the rest of your day and get ready for the weekend!! |
Thanks everyone for all your advice and support :). I had some time to think about what you all said and I know it's not about the ring, not at all, now that I'm graduating, trying to find a job for my career, I'm entering a whole new chapter in my life and thinking of what I want with the rest of my life. I want him and I'm ready to start that new chapter. I know I can get too hard on him, I guess I have to trust that he has a plan and just love him. He's been very patient with me finishing school, I haven't even thought about how much that held him back from other things he wanted to do. I don't want him to propose just to "shut me up"...I want it to be a surprise and romantic, but me bringing it up isn't going to help. I've been VERY stressed with the last 20 days of class left and I know I could've reacted differently. Well here is a few new goals for this challenge
1. No take my stress out on the bf 2. focus my stress into studying for my classes 3. being less argumentive(spelling)...I have a strong personality. Well the good news is since the bf puts us on a budget for food, I've be able to keep to my calories more and feel amazing! We were eating out sooooo much and it was all crap we ate. I worked this morning before class and I was so happy to be there...I love my job! it's nice to get more money in and it's exercise for me too. I work tomorrow so tonight after class I'll relax with the bf and attend to his needs. Lori: sorry about the dentist, but it is worth it. I hope you feel better. susie: thanks for the recipe! I'll see if I can make it this weekened. Everyone else, again thank you so much for your advice and support. I will get to everyone a bit later, I'm in class right now. I hope everyone has a wonderful night and a great day tomorrow. |
Katie - I was like you when I did Weight Watchers. I'd get down 10lb and then quit, for no apparent reason other than I wanted to. This time, with counting, nothing is off limits and I think that's why I find it easier to just do every day - if I want those fries or that cheese, I have it - I just have to cut back elsewhere. I know WW is the exact same principle so maybe for me, it's just doing it on my own - I never have been much of a group person (except this group, it seems!).
Lori - glad to hear things went well at the dentist! Krista - I make the pudding per the box and add about a cup of ff Cool Whip, blend the whole lot and stick it in the fridge. It's much lighter when you add the Cool Whip - you could probably add more and make it even fluffier! Feels so decadent but it's very low in calories for a lot of chocolate taste. Susie - I'm not sure you can call 2.25 miles a "little" boost! That's a lot of boost, if you ask me... :) Katy - I don't eat PB very often just because I can think of so many things that I would rather spend 200 calories on! But if you're measuring it out and counting the calories, and it's helping you stave off the hunger pangs, I think it's a good thing for you. JD - glad to hear you're working through your concerns. I think some men just take their sweet time to get to where we'd like them to be - I know mine does! I got used to it... still bugs me at times but it's just who he is. He's the Type B to my Type A, and thank goodness we aren't both Type A! For me - I'm down a pound this week, so I'll take it. I did a heavy leg workout yesterday and I am experiencing what I'm told is "DOMS" - delayed onset muscle soreness. Or as I like to call it, holy crap, I am in PAIN. I swam this morning thinking that would help loosen things up - yeah, not so much. Could barely get out of the pool, then getting into the car was a lot of work, and now every time I get up from my desk, I am hobbling like I'm 90. Note to self - go a tiny bit easier on the next leg day! |
