goals, shmoals-- food and run were great. not so much on other stuff. I took a look at the grand mess waiting for me and headed to the tv to veg. not good.

scale wonky too. I did have a loss but I'm sure sure of the accuracy. still, that's ok.

Jam- you gave me some ideas with the workout ball. -got me one-a-dose things here!

Today was a POP day. Stayed on track with carbs and calories, and did my exercise in the morning (as opposed to procrastinating all day!).

I also had a couple free hours in the evening and I baked some Atkins Revolution rolls for the first time. Delish! If you are watching your carbs I definitely recommend it. Here's the recipe:
http://www.genaw.com/lowcarb/improve...ion_rolls.html
Pretty much its only eggs & cream cheese.

Press on vals day sweethearts!

I haven't checked in since I first posted on this site, sorry bout that. I am still at 212. I don't know what the problem is. I have been counting my calories faithfully and working out in the morning and at night. I am wondering if my period has something to do with not losing? I am naturally irregular but due to two babies in three years I haven't really worried about it. But here I am, 2 months after my last period and I'm worning if this as something to do with my weight stand still? I don't know. I'll have to ask the Dr. when I go for the "fun" check-up next week.

I started potty training my 2 year old last week, maybe the stress of that has something to do with it??? Kid's should come with an automatic potty trained button!

Bev, welcome to the challenge! It is NEVER too late to join a challenge. Mostly we're here to keep each other going. The goals are just a good excuse to chat.

Jermy, thanks for checking in. I am not a doctor, nor do I play one on TV, so I'm not sure about any relation to TOM, etc. If you post more info about your cal count and a typical day, maybe we might be able to spot something obvious, though, and offer suggestions that might be helpful to you. Oh, also if you can tell about your workout routine and how long you've been following that, it might give us a clue. Good luck with the potty training, there. I remember those days. Keep some good books in the bathroom, is all I can say, cuz you'll be living in there, lol!

FB! Great picture! I want your deltoids, baby! I don't think your arms look saggy. On the shrugs, I put them with shoulders, personally. I just try to torture everything in that vicinity in a day, shoulders, traps, upper chest/incline stuff. I figure that gives me more rest days. Glad you got a new workout. I go mental after a while, doing the same old, same old, but I try to keep it going long enough to make some good progress, since "they" say it's a good thing. I'm about sick of squats lately, so when I can get back to the Y, I want to try the leg press and hack squat machines, just for a change, and because I've never used them. Thanks for posting your workout! It helps me to see what other peeps are doing, gives me ideas and inspiration.

Kitty, you'll be proud of me. I had a rotten day with the van. Went to test the wipers, and the stupid thing would not start...not even a clicking noise, then it wouldn't jumpstart, either. So, it was one of those "just shoot me now!" days, but I was determined to do something, anything on my bedroom decluttering project today. I finally got it in gear and took everything off the bookcase, cleaned it up, and put back only the office supplies, all nice and neat. I purged 3 kitchen garbage bags worth of old magazines and catalogs, you know, all that stuff I was gonna read or turn into a gardening notebook and never did. It was HARD to let it go, but I did it, didn't keep one scrap of that paper mountain, and it looks and feels so much better in here already! Anyway, it felt good to just have one thing go right today, after yet another frustrating day with the van repairs.

Shauna, another POP day, woohoo! Sounds like you are good with the cooking thing, too. I tend to nuke everything except for my chicken, and I only make that about every 4 days, then stick it in fridge so I can, yes, nuke it later for eating, lol.

Hey Barb! Hope you get some time soon, but thanks for checking in! In case everybody on here doesn't know it, Barb just got down into the 250s and is one of my POP heroes, along with FB!

I hope I'm not forgetting anyone between this post and last. If so, I don't mean to, but I forgot to do the advanced thing, and can't see all the posts on this page!

Well, time flies on the 'puter. It's almost 10:30 and I haven't done my workout yet! I'd better get something done, because I do not want to miss a workout when I'm this close to the bottom of the 180s! I want a 179 so bad!

Hi everyone!

Wow fb, great picture. it gives me hope for my arms too when I lose. Well, i have been filling out "the daily plate" on LIVESTRONG.com (Jaminator told me about it) since december 31st evey day and turning it in to a nutritionist online. Then she evaluates it and gives me suggestions. My goal is to not tell many lies on the report and to follow her suggestions.

She told me to eat two portions of meat, (NOT beef), but chicken or fish per day and if I want an avocado, then that is my meat for one of the 2 meals. I am addicted to avocados!. They have fat , but no animal fat she says.

And also she says to have a dark green veggie with every meal and if I eat late, only have a fruit or veggie.

I havent weighed since last week so i will find a scale and report! Mainly i stay POP until evening time. I am not hungry but suddenly I want to eat. But why? I just don't know. And its bad things, not veggies...

I am enjoying reading about all the weight loss successes!Horray for everyone!

Kitty - we all need veg time at times. I think it's all good.

Thanks Barb!

Welcome Bev!

Cool Shauna, thanks for the link. I watch carbs and love new and easy recipes. Looks yummo.

Jerms - my period always throws my weight around a bit. If you post your calories and exercise plan I'm sure someone can chime in with better advice. For potty training - you have my sympathy. I trained my son at about 30 months maybe? 2.5 years old sounds right. He wasn't ready earlier although I had everyone on my back about it. We bought a bunch of small prizes from a carnival store (like 5 cent bugs) and accomplished it in about a week. For younger kids I have no clue.

Jamsta Jam - Oh thanks. I did my shoulders again today. Shew! I've been really splitting my workouts up, seems to be helping with results. Be careful with the leg press - I think it's what hurt my back. One legged presses are much safer I'm told. I use a 45 degree leg press one legged, not sure if there's danger involved with seated leg presses. I've never played with the hack squat machine, but it looks fun. I like seeing your workouts, so I figure I'll start posting mine (as long as you keep posting yours )...

Shoulders (4 sets each, heavy weights, less reps, focus day, not typical - was trying to kill them):
Dumbbell Press (PR with 30 pound dumbbells! Okay, maybe not impressive, but still I started with 5 pounders back in da day )
Arnold Press
Military Press
Upright Row
Lateral Raise
Lying (facedown on slight incline) Lateral Raise
Plate Raise
I like shoulders, all free weights. Fun.
And then, to act like I did cardio - a mile on the treadmill in 8 minutes, 45 seconds. I don't run ever, so I was happy.
I pushed myself hard and focused throughout the workout, the heart rate monitor said 736 calories - so that's awesome with me. I think this experiment with dumping some cardio may work - as long as I focus.

BBB! There you are! Where did you go on last your last trucking jaunt? I am fascinated with your job and want details (please). Sounds interesting - the online dietitian. Cool! Do you like chicken and fish? I'm a chicken and fish murderer. I eat both a lot, like to blacken them the best. I don't know how your schedule works - but I really found evening workouts great for battling night time munchy attacks.

Vintage Glamour - what a cool username. Evokes all sorts of great fashion. Welcome!

BBB! Peeps been lookin' for you! WTG with the daily plate! I am no good at the daily logging thing. I just have to eat the same few things, so I know I'm staying OP. Now, FB needs her trucking report, so she can live vicariously through your truck driveryness.

Vintage Glamour, nice user name, but too long. We'll have to chop that one down...let's see...yep, I'm thinking "Vinny". So, Vinny, welcome to the challenge, and Good luck with your V-day goal!

My report: I got a new lowest weight today! 180.8! Notice the zero after the first 8 there? Isn't it lovely?

FB, lol, we were posting at the same time! Awesome shoulder workout! Those lying incline lat raises sound good. I think I'll have to try that. And 30 lb DBs on the shoulder press is strong! I will now have to see if I can beat that. I think my PR there is 27.5 for 10 reps, but that was back before I cracked my arm, so I'm working my way back up. Thanks for giving me something to shoot for, though.

I know what you are saying about the cardio. Unless it's skating, I am having a hard time motivating for it. Running I can do, though, if I just crank the tunes and don't think about it. That's where the crossfit has been helping me, by giving me some of the cardio effect, but it's still fun lifting type stuff or at least something different. They do a lot of lighter weights/high rep stuff, but it's not like pink DBs or anything, so it's still a good workout.

I will post today's workout when I'm done. Last night's workout was pretty short and just flat bench, flyes and push-ups, ten each till I died, because my back and shoulders were still fried from my last CF workout, then 15 mins running. It was so late, I didn't even do enough of a warm-up to talk about, just a couple reps with lighter DBs, then I went for it. I had to have a quiet workout, since my boy was having trouble sleeping.

Just reporting in to say that I got all of my workouts in last week, but so far I've had none this week! D'oh! Meaning that I'll have to work out back-to-back every day until the end of the week, and do two workouts on one day. Oh fun.

I just started doing strength training to get stronger for my runs and I'm soooo sore. But it feels really amazing knowing that I'm actually challenging my body for the first time in over nine months!

Annnd my shirt seems bigger today!

Yaaaaaaayy! I can't wait for Valentine's Day! (and as the perpetually single girl, that's saying something, haha)
