Ha Nicki! The way I typed that all out makes it sound that way, eh? No, if I were trapped in my car I'd be doing a zillion other more important things than playing on the webs, heehee.

Good morning, ladies!

I've been doing good here. TOM now, so the scale is mental, but my average for the week was down a half pound anyway, so I know I'm still losing something!

Yesterday the boy and I walked to the store, and my dog Beorn pulled the dog cart, so he could tote the groceries home. The boy and I had the good bonding time, and Beorn slept for the rest of the day.

Kitty, I see you've got your weight more comfortably down into your maint. range, woohoo!

Nicki, congrats on the pound and a half loss since I last checked in! I usually don't get sore till the second day after lifting, so maybe that's what was going on with your legs that day?

FB, yes rubbing alcohol is a muscle relaxer, and a mild pain reliever, so it will work on muscles that are already sore. I just also use it after a hard workout to help things not to get so tight in the first place. If you look at the ingredients in those muscle pain reliever sprays, they are usually mostly rubbing alcohol, just a lot more expensive. Sorry about your car being buried, but it was pretty hilarious the way you described it. Built in shoulder workout, digging it out, though!

Sarah, 3 lbs?! Holy moley! I'm jealous!

Barb,

Angel, loving the new avatar! Where's our pic of the boy with his skis on?

Shauna, glad you're back on the exercise!

Okay, I need more caffeine. It's still the crack of dawn in my world.

Hiya everyone, I haven't checked in for awhile, but still been diligently exercising. Even though I hadn't set a numeric goal for weight loss (my goals were exercising and calories burned), in my mind I think I wanted a 5 lb. loss. Well, I'm halfway there already!

I started working out with a personal trainer and it has been TOUGH. I told him I wanted to run a 5k and he took it seriously...hahaha. I had to do some soul searching to figure out if I really wanted this or not, and in the end, I definitely figured it was time to get my weight gone once and for all. I have another appt. today and am really looking foward to it. For the first time, I actually look forward to exercise instead of loathing it!

anyway looks like everyone is doing FANTASTIC! I will hopefully be able to check in more often once work calms down.

FPants - A trainer is often a great way to spice up workouts, so cool! I'm sure you'll easily accomplish your goals while making it fun.

Guess what you guys? I changed my goal to 3 pounds and immediately lost a little bit of weight! How's that? My first loss this year. That will be my new trick to losing, just set a new goal.

So, .6 down and 2.4 to go! Such a far cry from my challenges last year where I would set huge goals and manage to accomplish them half the time. But still, I happy - this is good.

Angel, those skis are bigger than he is...how cute is that? Thanks for sharing the pics!

FB, congrats on the weight loss. I saw on the other thread that you got a new all-time low. You know what that means... Yep, your very own Highly Coveted Flamey Award.

Speaking of Flameys, I think I totally forgot to give Barb one, for her recent milestone of 100 lbs down from her highest weight ever! So, Barb, sorry it's late, but here you go. Be careful, it's hot!

I'm doing great with the food and water, soso with the exercise, but I'm getting in about 5 days a week, so I guess it's not so bad. I'll just keep on keepin' on.

to everybody else. I've got to see if my sister's old truck will start, so I can go to the bank and the Costco. Later, peeps!

Howdy CC Friends!

Whew...I'm finally getting to sit down for more than 2 seconds. Geez....I hope I didn't just jinx myself. All is good here. After no loss last week I came back this week with a 4 pounds loss! I didn't do anything different...just keep truckin' with the exercise, food & water. I've still got 6.4 pounds to go for the Valentine challenge...not sure how that is going to pan out but I will do my best!

Yesterday and today were cardio only for me - well I also did some abs and I always stretch. Tomorrow will be a full body weight training session on my own. My trainer can't make it - actually I started working with a different trainer from the same company this week because I didn't feel like I was getting what I really needed from the other one...and as it turns out there are a couple other unhappy clients so I'm not sure she'll be back. Anywho...next week I'll start on my regular routine with the new on and I'm pretty psyched about it. I trained briefly with him when I first started this summer and he took a fulltime job that took him away from training. He was recently laid off and is back. I think he's going to be a good change for me. He will really push me and mix things up a bit.

I treated myself to a new "do" today. You can check it out in my updated avatar. Cut, color, highlights.

Nicki - Good to hear the legs are doing well! I love the feeling from a good workout and a little soreness is a-ok with me, but you don't want to be in too much pain! Nice job pushing through it! Rawr!

BBB - Great to hear that you are doing so well and really getting a hang of the food stuff. It's really a lot of fun!

Jam - You amaze me girl! Just listening to the stuff you do with your workouts, sleds, fixing vehicles, dog carts.... you are a superhero! Thank you for the flamey...I am once again honored!

FB - Sorry to laugh, but the image of your car did crack me up. Have you been able to dig it out yet? Cool beans on changing the goal and then losing weight! A BIG CONGRATS on the new low! Woohoo!

Angel - The ski pictures look like so much fun. I have never ever been up on snow skis....yet something else to try one of these days. I was hoping to drag the boys out in the sled this week, but our snow started to melt and then refroze so everything is just ICE - ick!

Sorry, I know I missed a bunch of peeps, but I think I'm gonna watch a little TV with the hubby.

Later taters...

Default daily check-in and IMPENDING WEIGH-IN!!!

Today as a good day for calories/ carbs cheers to that.

Nothing happened on the exercise front. Just couldn't get my lazy be-hind out of bed in time to hit the gym. I promised myself that tomorrow I will wake up in time for my 9:30am spin class and get it done (which will be a feat since its 4:30am right now).

Tomorrow is weigh-in. First weigh-in since January 1st. I'm SO NERVOUS!!
I'm just really afraid that I'll get psychologically derailed in some way by what the scale says.

January 1st I weighed-in at 164.8lbs. I'm hoping for at least 159.9... which is only a 4.9lbs decrease. Thing is I have NO IDEA now much I've lost... well, I guess I kinda do... its somewhere between 0 and 10 lbs... can't be more than 10 or I would have noticed a significant difference in the mirror... I haven't so far.

Keep your fingers crossed for me, my dear comrades in weight loss! I will give you the full report tomorrow night.

Weighing in today at 1 pound lighter. I'm only .5 pound away from my pre-Christmas weight. Everyone seems to be doing great.

Hello, ladies! My weight is up, which could be TOM or because my workouts haven't happened the last 2 days. Been busy with other stuff, though, and just can't bring myself to get too upset about it. I've been eating OP and just doing my best here. The good news is, I've got wheels now. My sister loaned me her truck, then the battery was just dead from sitting and the cold, and wouldn't hold a charge. We were able to return it to Costco today, though, and get a new one, so it's all good to go now! I also hopefully know what's wrong with my van...tomorrow I'll know for sure, but my sister's mechanic told me where to find the fusible links that are likely the culprits, so if all goes well, a couple of little wires should have the old beast up and running again.

I bought some new running shoes today! Costco had the adidas again, and they are comfy, seem to work, so I just bought those, rather than doing the running store gig. Maybe another time, I'll get analyzed and all that, but for now I'm just happy to have some new comfy shoes, as my old ones were worn out for running in.

Now that I have wheels, I'll be able to go to the Y! I'm stoked! Gonna repack the gym bag tomorrow, so I can get out the door early Monday morning. I think this will help me get back in the groove with my workouts, too. When I'm home, it's so tempting to just let other things get in the way. Going to the gym, though, there's nothing else to do there but work out!

I subscribed to the crossfit journal, and online mag, which gives access to the full versions of all their videos and such. I stayed up way too late last night watching and reading, then I dreamed all night of doing crossfit workouts, lol. Wish those counted with the scale!

Barb, love the new do, and the new avatar!

Shauna, good luck with your weigh-in! I know you've been doing well with your plan, so I hope you get a good number on the scale!

Isabella, I'm always impressed with your weight loss!
