Littlered~ I think the FDA (or is it USDA?) recommends no more than 2400mg of sodium per day.

Hey all! I thought I would pop on here before I got ready to go to my Future IL's! It's all rainy here, causing me to just have the urge to stay in bed! LOL!
Petra- I also have been fiddling with my goal. I'm leaning towards 140, which is a 10lb difference from my original goal of 150. So we'll see..... LittleRed- It's a work in progress, but I'm just so happy with myself with really working at it! I was looking at some old pics and WOW!! I couldn't believe myself. 160's.....hmmm quite a ways, but I won't be blowing by anytime soon! ;) ;) Susan- Great job on your loss!!! Keep it up! That's great idea....here are my numbers from last week Fat - 21.4% (262 grams) Protein - 22.7% (626 grams) Carbohydrates - 55.9% (1,543 grams) Alcohol - 0.0% Other - 0.0% Daily Calorie Intake - 1,356 cals Daily Sodium Intake - 2,206 mg Daily Cholesterol Intake - 302 mg Daily Fiber Intake - 26 grams gotta up my fiber a bit, but 2lb loss for last week! :) Diva- That really sucks that your gym closed down! charlene- Welcome back from your trip!! Did you have any favorite rides? Zenor- Woooohoooo girl!!! :cb: :hat: I would not be surprised if you surpassed your birthday goal......and then some!!! Ok...DF is hollering for me to get ready! LOL.....It does take me a while, but geesh! Ok talk to you all later! |
Calories for today~ 1454
Fiber~ 38 grams Petra/Tinky~ I too have thought about tweaking my goal, but not much. I promised DH I wouldn't go below 145. I have a large frame (according to my elbow bone size) and when I get below 145 he says I have "bobble-head syndrome." Lol. I don't want that! I have tomorrow off from work (they changed our schedule and we are working Friday instead of Monday.) I think it's time to start packing. It's so hard to start since we don't know exactly where we are moving. I need some motivation to start me packing up stuff! |
I tried posting here earlier today and it just got stuck and wouldn't post! So annoying.
I lost 3 lbs last week!! And that was between Mon - Friday! I really started seriously doing calorie counting AND exercising on Monday and it really worked for me! I stayed at about 1530 calories/day and 30 mins of treadmill Mon-Sat. I took today off for exercise but tried to keep to the calories (even with the Father's day mexican restaurant dinner!). Hope you all have great week! |
Oops! :corn: I gave in to a popcorn craving after I posted my calories. So, my actual calories for today are 1540. We were watching the original (1954) Godzilla (in Japanese with subtitles) and I really needed something to munch on. At least it was air popped right?
AnnaA~:congrat: on the 3 lbs loss! |
Anne
congrats On the 3 pounds off.http://www.freesmileys.org/emo/ad/groupwave.gif that is fantastic. My calories for sunday. 1565 fat:26% carbs:50% protein:24% fiber: 50 16 glasses of water: 128 oz. Zenor, When will you find out which job you hubby will take? I hope you find out soon. :hugs: I know waiting can drive ya nuts. |
Good Morning everyone!!! Well it's a gloomy rainy Monday! It doesn't help much with having to be at work! LOL
We had a great a dinner at my future IL's! I had tons and tons of veggies, and brought my own brown rice. I even managed to save calorie room for a piece of heaven! (Chocolate Cake) Yummy!!! DF was laughing at me because I was sitting there savoring every little bite. Though I don't know what was in the food, because I went home and worked out for 60 mins, and it felt like nothing, I had so much energy! It was great! Must of been the sugar! LOL Anne- :bravo: on your 3lb loss!!!! Keep it up!! You're doing great. Zenor- The Godzilla movie is a hoot! It's pure nostalgia! Oh, I had a NSV this morning, I walked in and our night custodian said, hey you're losing lots of weight! I wore a dress for the first time in a while and he said he wanted to tell me something last week, but was in shock with how I looked. Now that's a great way to start a Monday morning! ;) Have a great Monday everyone! |
Hi everybody!
I guess I will start by introducing myself, since I have been away for a while and there seems to be a lot of newer posters. I am 31 years old, I work full time for a financial institution and my dh works for a cable company. We have been together for 10 years and have 2 children (Athena 7 and Jamison 5). When my dh and I met I was 135 pounds and since then I have gone up as high as 198 pounds. I was very unhappy with the way I looked and decided it was time to do something about it. That was when I started to count calories when I have been focused on my goal I have done well but it has been hard to stick with it. I found this site earlier this year but I have been away from the site and counting for a few months. I need to get back on track and stay focused on my goal. I find it very hard to fit in exercise, if anyone has any tips on fitting it into your day it would be appreciated. I am going to try to post everyday, as I have found that it was easy to stay focused when I was posting. I will be back later to post how today went. |
I weighed this morning and I gained 4lbs on vacation!! :( And then I ate a piece of cake! What's wrong with me?! My aunt bought cake just because, and dropped it off Saturday when we got back. Most of it's gone, but there was one little piece left, so I took it!
Tinky ~ I wish it was raining here! We're on water restriction, and it's too hot to step outside til' 8. cablgurl ~ Welcome back! Good luck on your weight loss! :) Anyway, I'm gonna go clean out the kitchen of all the junk food my aunt filled it with. Bye! |
Charlene~ Just jump right back in there and those 4 lbs will be gone in no time! You can do it! Vacation will get the best of us. I think it's a good idea to clean out the kitchen. Until you can say no to that kind of stuff (some people never can~ it depends on your triggers) get it out of the house! Can you talk to your aunt and other who bring in food and ask them not to get that kind of thing? Or, at least, stop offering it to you? Most people have trigger foods that they need to stay away from (at least for awhile.)
Littlered~ We should know by mid-July which job DH will be taking. We should know about the NY one before then, but the job in OK is interviewing next month, so it all depends. Too bad I can't just keep the sentimental stuff and get rid of the rest of it! I hate packing so much, that I'd rather start over and just buy new. But who can afford that? Plus, it's wasteful, so I could never actually do it! Just dreaming... Tinky~ Isn't that the most wonderful feeling! It's great when people start to notice. It took the guys I work with 40lbs before they said anything! Lol. |
I am so glad this is here, I love reading about everyone else and reminding myself that I am not the only person out there who has to count every little calorie that goes into my mouth. I am losing again and I so love to be a loser! I am pumped up and glad to have everyone here to keep accountable to! I just keep picturing myself posting some wowerific pics of my changes and my story in Goals, positive thinking, imagine your outcome and it will be!
Wow Zenor you are getting close to your goal, cool! |
I'm back. I had to work this weekend, so no 3FC and now I'm catching up. :)
my stats for the week: 1794 cals/day 2876mg sodium (wooohooo! getting better) 60g fiber cholesterol 290 Cals were a little higher, but I think I still had a good loss (my weigh-in is tonight). It must have been a big nursing week, because the scale said 166! |
Well, I got a present today. My mother bought me an "Alli Starter Pack" & Book. She said she saw it at Sam's and thought I might like it. I'm still researching it and I read the thread in "Does It Work?" section and most of the reviews were good. I'll keep you guys posted if you were wondering about it and if I actually try it.
Tinky ~ I missed your question earlier, and yes! I had quite a few favorite rides, but I really enjoyed Splash Mountain. My brother and mother made fun of me after Space Mountain, I was screaming bloody murder the whole time! When we got off the ride, I saw one of the other guys from our space car thingy and he was talking to his wife who waited for him in the gift shop where you exit from the ride. She asked him how he liked it and I heard him say, "It was okay." Then he rubbed his head, and she said, "What's wrong?" and then he said, "There was quite a screamer on our car." edzard ~ This is a very encouraging thread isn't it? Zenor ~ Like edzard said, you are very close to your goal! Congrats! |
Hello! What a Monday. I didn't post, but I did well this past weekend (even with eating out on Father's Day). Today, at the bridal shower, not so good. I ate 2 buffalo chicken wings, 2 jalapeno poppers, half a cheese enchilada, about a handfull of Spanish rice, a cupcake (a key lime cupcake that was AWESOME), and about 3 small bowls of homemade tortilla chips(sorry for the weird measurements, I didn't have anything with me to measure with any sort of accuracy). So, it's back on track. Tonight I'm having a cabbage and chicken salad for dinner.
This is the end of the first week of my diet and I'm down 2 pounds. yay!:D cablgurl - Welcome back! Tinky - Awesome compliment. I do miss wearing dresses and looking all dolled up and pretty. What a great way to start the week! AnneA - Congrats on the 3 pounds!! :carrot: Have a great night everyone! |
Zoe ~ I am a blob person. HAHAHA! That is the only way I can keep track of calories. Or I will measure mine all out before I mix everything together.
Petra ~ WTG on breaking your 140's. Littlred ~ Hope you enjoyed your time with your DGD. Tinky ~ I do the same thing. I love Subway and Quizno's so I just make sure I get extra exercise and it never affects my weight. I actually have had Subway 4 days in a row and lost because I chose the healthy subs. OK listening to conversations about driver tests and such, I will stay put. I get so nervous that I would probably flunk. I even study to take the written test. HAHAHAHA! I have learned to just go with my curls because I don't like to spend a lot of time getting around. I guess I try to cram to much in a day to allow much time make sure I look good. HAHAHA! Sorry I haven't been around, had DGS since last Friday and most of today. Between keeping an eye on him, traveling to see both our Dad's, Curves on Saturday and errands, I haven't had any time to spare. Work was 2 days worth of work packed into 5 hours. I was so flustrated my brain had to stop a few times and reset :dizzy:. I don't know what they would do if I really left for 3 weeks on vacation. Did horrible this weekend and I want to put out a warning to everyone that likes to eat at Bob Evans for breakfast DON'T EAT THE BISCUITS! The taste great but 315 calories a biscuit. I had not a clue until I went on the website to look. YICKS! I ate them two days in a row because we went out for breakfast two days in a row there. WOW! I thought I had a low cal breakfast chosen, its their One Egg breakfast (1 egg, 2 sausage - I get turkey which is lower and toast or biscuits) and because of the biscuits it was a whopping 1060 calories just for breakfast. That is just crazy. DH and I are talking about helping each other on the weekends. He is finally concerned about his weight and since I have been pointing it out he is realizing how bad we bing on weekends. We are not doing it this weekend. We are already talking about what meals we are going to have. I am at 1050 today because I didn't have time for snacks and even though we had chinese I had sizzling rice soup and 2 spring rolls. I didn't bloat up, it was lower in calories and filling. That is what I planned on having the last time we went there and this time that is what I ordered. Calories were about 1/2 the last time and no bloat. Well I better get going and have a snack to get my calories up. Welcome to all the newbies and congrats to all those that have lost. Hoping getting my weekends straight will get me moving down the road to thinness. Talk at you all later. |
