Calorie Counters Chat~June 2007
OH GOODIE. I get to start the June chat thread. I have never gotten to do this yet either. I thought I would post what I posted in the May chat room.
GOOOOD MORNING! Zoe ~ Very good choices for your 300 calories! I know this may be hard but what do the black bean burgers taste like? I am just always cautious when I am trying new things but those sound good. I have a very sensitive, sluggish system myself so I know how you feel. I see you added hot sauce to your sandwich, I love hot sauce but not to hot because it doesn’t agree with me. Apricots, I will have to try them. They are really low in calories but I have noticed a lot of fruit is low and high in fiber so its filling. Charlene ~ You don’t have to mention your calories and statistics for the day if you don’t want to. Everything here is optional and up to the individual. Zenor ~ I like putting laughing cow cheese or peanut butter on celery. It also adds a lot of flavor to salads and soups. I have never heard of the crop shares before, interesting. I will have to see if they have them in my area. Natalia ~ WTG on the loss and controlling your stress eating. Luc’s Mom ~ I hear you on the kids come first, mine still do and they are 20, 16 and of course DGS 17 months. Oh and the biggest kid, DH who is 38, HAHAHAHA! I have actually started to do more for myself in recent months. I think it is shocking everyone including DH. He giggled the other day and said I see you have a spending problem. I said yes I do but it was on sale. He said everything you buy is on sale. I said I know but there is a lot of sales. We both laughed. We actually have money to spend for the first time in our lives so its not that I am charging but I should be saving. I need to break down and take ODD to get some maternity cloths because her pants were to small before she got pg and now she can’t do them up at all and she is only 1 month along. Menu for today: Breakfast: ½ c. fresh strawberries, ¼ c. Fiber One and 1 Tbsp. Cool Whip and a Chik Patty with Hot Sauce. Snack: 3 Laughing Cow and 2 Light Wasa, ½ c. Strawberries Lunch: Healthy Choice Chicken Marinara, Tomatoes with ¼ FF Cheese and 1 Tbsp. Newmans Tomato/Basil Dressing Snack: 1 bag 100 cal. kettle corn, 1 Cheese Stick Dinner: 3 oz lean steak, ¼ c. couscous, cauliflower, 2 sugar free Jell-o cups w/2 Tbsp. Cool Whip Snack: 1 bag 100 cal. popcorn Calories: Right around 1382 I did great yesterday until DD wanted Chinese. Now I did fine on the calories but within 5 minutes of starting the meal my feet blew up like balloons. Calories for the day: 1520 I discovered I can no longer wing it when it comes to my menus and the day needs to be planned in advance. I also need to stop letting DD talk me into changing that menu. She likes to eat out a lot and we all know what that can do. I think if she wants to eat out it will have to be a grab and go and that way I can go home and eat and stick to my plan. Or I can bring my meal along and eat at the park or something. What I had planned for last night sounded so much better than what I ate. Well I better get going and will check back later. |
Tinky ~ It will be a while before I eat Chinese again. I should have stuck with what I originally was going to get because it would have been lower in calories and less grease. I was going to have veggie soup and two spring rolls. Nope, I have to get something that did have some grease and it appeared to be dark meat instead of my normal white meat. I am not a dark meat fan. So I stoll a couple pieces of my DD's white meat. Next time I am going to stick with my first choice. I have a bad habit of looking, seeing what I should have and then choosing something else.

hey kids! What's up?
Well...I worked out last night, got my sorry butt on the bike to work off some of that DQ cake, lol..I think I was on for 94minutes until I had to stop..but now instead of my legs begging me to stop, its my behind getting sore from that seat..and we got one with a "deluxe" seat..at least it's recumbent, its not hard on the girlie parts..lol Tinky- what kind of protein shake do you use? I love having the mix in the house too..I use it if I'm going out for awhile and know I'm going to miss a meal..or if I'm having a bad craving itll fill me right up before I do something sinister :dizzy: I usually buy the Creamy Dreamy Chocoalte whey gourmet but I was thinking of maybe geting a plain one and making my own concoctions.. zenor- hmmm celery huh?? do you know anyone else in the exchange who would do a trade??lol I use celery ..hmm I cut it up and use it with dip..I slice it up and put it in stirfry..I slice it up and rub pb or cheese whiz or cream cheese on it..i finely dice it and put it with pasta salad, chicken salad, chilis, soups, etc..i think if I had an overwhelming surplus I would either give some away..or cut it up finely and freeze it, maybe you could freeze it in ice cube trays and then transfer to ziplocs? then you could stick a cube or 2 in everytime youre making a dish?? it should keep well that way. Charlene, WELCOME! I am new too and these girls are amazing! I am not even technically a calorie counter and the girls have still welcomed me with open arms..at least I feel that way, lol I mean we all have a common goal, to make ourselves healthier, fitter, thinner, and to glean some tips and support and have fun along the way! Instead of white knuckling it and feeling alone..I love coming here as part of my daily ritual..its fun and also helps keep me focused and "in check" Some days I'm not in the mood to post a lot, but I am still op and checking in to see how everyone is doing :) Luc's Mom- how's it going?? Those cravings can be a ***** ! lol I find sometimes it helps to identify what kind of food I want..usually for me it'll be "creamy-comfort" or "crunchy-salty" and then have something OP in that category.. homemade sugar free chocoalte pudding has been a lifesaver more than once! So is that lemon meringue dessert i posted a couple weeks ago..and almost no calories. FOr the summer you could make pudding pops with the sf pudding mix...I;ve also seen people on the WW forum say they use a tsp of the sf pudding mix with a cup of low fat milk and blend it, and it tastes and feels like a milkshake..still have to try that.. today I think I'm going to try orange jello and drained and rinsed peach-mandarin medley prepared together..pretty and yummy. unfortunately I cannot have cool whip as its a major trigger food for me, even though I don't even care for it that much..:dizzy: As for clothes, have you tried a thrift store?? Its hard to spend $70 on a pair of jeans when you're just going to be swimming in them in a couple weeks. But its not good for the spirit to have no clothes either..maybe a nice cheapish pair of capris in a couple sizes?? I think as I go down in size I'm going to buy a couple things just in every second size, I really can't afford a huge wardrobe in every size.,and the "small" things from my past are from 10 years ago :o so they won't do either...at least shirts are more forgiving..lol |
also yoga pants, and yoga capris,,are so versatile and kind of grow and shrink with you..so they can be a nice option when you are transitioning to a lower weight..I know my yoga pants I lived in when I started still fit great 16lbs lower..so while they might not be the best choice once I am at goal (too much leeway lol) for now they are nice becasue you could go 20+ pounds and still not have them looking sloppy on you becasue they are so stretchy :) And as an apple I find them very slimming (in black)..I think my legs look best in them out of everything I own..although I am not usually wearing them now since I can finally fit into other pants!!lol
|
Natalia ~ That pudding in the milk sounds good. I may have to try that because I love milk shakes. I should try the pudding pop thing also because I used to eat a lot of them but I haven't looked for them in over 20 years at the grocery store. Maybe they have sugar free pudding pops. HMMMM! I will have to check it out.
I do the same thing. I buy pants that can stretch and shrink with me. I am recommitting myself this weekend to making sure it is shrink. I am so sick of the 180's I have been drifting here for to long. I realize its a mental hang up. Does anyone know how to get past a mental block that is holding you back? Its almost like I am afraid to leave the 180's. I have been in this range for over a year now. It is very slow at work today and I will take it after the few days this week where I was running around in a blur. HAHAHA! |
Thanks everyone for the celery hints!
I use celery and usually always have it in the fridge, but it's just the two of us and we've been getting a big bunch every week. I've been using it at least once a day in something and I still have two bunches left. Lol. At least I still like it! |

zenor, can you tell me a little more about the CSA membership? It looks like I have a couple options of one share or a half share. how much are we talking here? I wish there was some kind of reviews somewhere. I have about 4 farms to choose from. Only one is a 52 week farm.
|
Ours would probably be a 1/2 share. It's not called that, but we have the smallest one. I think ours calls it family size (3-4ppl) or regular size (1-2ppl.)
Our goes April thru December I think. Also, everything is organic and they deliver. Yay! I don't know if their website would be helpful, but it's farmersgarden.org and they have a nice graph that tells you what you might be getting at different times of the year. This is what we've been getting recently: 1 head of cauliflower 3 broccoli crowns 1 bunch of "baby" carrots with greens attatched 1 head of boston lettuce 1 huge head of red leaf lettuce 1 huge head of green leaf lettuce 1 big bunch of celery 1 cabbage 1 sm bunch of green onions 1 sm bag of snow peas 1 basket of strawberries My salad spinner has been getting quite a work out. :D I would call the CSAs up and see if you can buy just one week so you know what it looks like. Or maybe they can tell you what they typically have in them? We also buy citrus, avocados, eggs, & apples at the farmer's market. I buy onions, garlic, and ginger at the grocery store unless I can find them at the farmer's market. This is plenty for the two of us. I really love it, because it forces me to be more creative in the kitchen. |
that is very helpful, Zenor! I think the half share would prob be plenty for us right now then. I have littles who barely touch their food as it is.
I'm sure your farmers market is awesome, being in California. We get the greens and berries. I can get eggs and cherries from the back yard. I wish I had a few more fruit trees, and might have to work on that. :) |
GrammyL- It will be a very very long time before I touch chinese food, unless I prepare it myself. Though I will say it was good when I was at the restaurant, but going home forget about it! LOL
Natalia- I use Soy Protein, its made by EAS, but I think this time around I will get something different. Mix it up a bit. The chocolate one sounds pretty good and dreamy! ;) Yoga pants, hmmm....I may have to invest in those. I love my Nike capris but they're getting a bit worn out! Hmm....Farmers Markets, I don't know why I do not even go there, but I really think I should since I buy tons of produce! I mean Seattle is suppose to have lots of good produce. I guess I'm being biased, I used to shop out at Farmer's Markets all the time in CA. But oh well! Gonna make a point to go this weekend! :D |
Well, even though I don't have too, I'll still post my numbers.
The only thing is, I don't want to even think about them! I had a perfectly wise calorie day, but then my mother desided to surprise me by taking me out to mexican, and I ordered the healthiest I could. At the mexican place, I ordered Chicken Fajitas .(Came with Rice and Beans.) And I didn't eat any of the tortillas. I did how ever have a handful of chips and salsa. According to my calculations, I had 1766 kcals. Yuck! I did golf for a few hours though. Anyway, Atleast I didn't go over too much. I really need to start exercising again, but I just havent found the time. Now that school's out, this summer I'll get back on track! My June goal however, is not to gain too much weight. I'm going to Disney World in just 9 days! We've made quite a few food arrangements. Any advice for eating out for a week? |
yesterday's menu worked so well, I did it again today! haha!
I added in a new pic in my profile of me and my baby. He's getting some cute baby personality now at almost 3 months. It still takes some work to get the smile. http://royalmom.com/DSC_0022sm-4.jpg |
CoolMom75 ~ That is the cutest picture! Sooo Cute!! I love his facial expression.
|
Zoe
that is sure a cute little guy! he is so serious. he will be a thinker! No, not stinker. ;) How old is he now? Oh by the way, you don't look your weight. Keep up the good job loosing. |
I was going to say the exact same thing.
I wish I looked that tiny!! |
lol! you guys, its the beauty of being a pair. haha! I think my top graduated out of the fat store, but my bottom half is still in a 16.
thanks for the nice comments. :) |
Zoe- He is such a cutie pie!!! I love the outfit too!!!
And girl you don't look as much as you weigh!!! I would of guessed less!! Great job!!! |
Todays calories~1548
Fiber~38 grams My calories a little high due to indulging in a bit of frozen yogurt. After this week I needed it! I was good and only had a serving though. Plus I walked 2 miles today, so maybe it'll all even out. CoolMom~He is a very cute baby! I love it when they get to be that age and start developing their personalities. Charlene~Here are my tips: ~When I have to eat out a lot I try to only eat half of what is on the plate. ~Also, I've found that when you go to dinner-type places if you order a burger they slather butter on the bun when they toast it (that's before the mayo!) I always order my burger (usually the veggie kind) with a completely dry bun. No butter or mayo. Then I put on mustard at the table. I also make sure there is no cheese and I trade the fries for a side salad. ~Has anyone shared the salad dressing trick with you? You order it on the side and dip your fork tines into it before you take a bite. You use a lot less dressing! I use this trick a lot because I really like full fat blue cheese dressing (I can't have it in the house, but it's a nice treat when we go out.) ~If you are going to a chain and have internet access look up the nutritional info before you go. That way you know what your choices are. I've looked up stuff and been shocked at whats in stuff (did you know that a slice of cheesecake at The Cheese Cake Factory is 1500 calories~just for one slice~OUCH!) ~Ask lots of questions! The wait staff is there to help. If you order something that's baked, ask if they use any oil or butter on it before they bake it. Ask if you can get your veggies steamed and without butter. Ask, ask, ask... you'd be surprised what they put in food that you wouldn't think is there. ~Most importantly; HAVE FUN! |
Hi everyone,
It's been a couple of days since I posted. Things have been going ok, but I made the mistake of buying Ice Cream for the kids this week and well I have been eating some every night. I try to refrain myself but I just can't do it. My weight has been right around the 143 mark. Which is good that it hasn't gone up but still disappointed in myself. I hate it when I get in these ruts. On the up side I have been doing some form of exercise every day. Last night I rode my bike for about 2 miles. Thursday Gazelle for 30 mins, and walked/jogged for about 2 miles the previous 2 days. So that is probably what is helping me not really gain. Zoe He is adorable!!! I miss my kids being that little. I always say I wish that they would have stayed that little and never learned to talk, lol. And you look like you are doing great!!! Keep up the great work!!! |
Zenor ~ Thanks for all the info. I'll probably be eating out a couple of more times this weekend, because I graduated today, and it's time to celebrate! (And for some reason celebrating equals food?) Probably not eating out, but going to people's houses for parties. (With catered food.)
~ I don't have a menu because of graduation stuff. But I'm done with high school. :D And you know what? Middle GA hasn't seen rain for nearly 47 days, and on graduation day, it rains! Can you believe it?? I gotta go to another party. Bye! |
Charlene- Congratulations on your graduation! May you find lots of success and happiness in the start of your "adult" life!!! :woo: LOL...Party hearty baby!!!
|

Oh boy...
I don't think I've realized just how freaked out I am by the thought of job hunting, packing, moving... We went out for Thai food with friends tonight and I kind of threw caution to the wind. I think my cals may actually be higher, but I estimated the best I could. Hopefully all the spiciness (we like it HOT) boosted my metabolism a bit. Probably not, but lets think positive! ;)
Calories for today~ 1878 Fiber~ 38 grams The scale was down 2 more lbs this morning though. Hopefully it stays down! :crossed: I have no idea what my sodium intake was so I may end up bloated tomorrow. I may skip weighing tomorrow just to avoid freaking out if I'm retaining water. Monday can be the moment of truth. :dizzy: We've decided to make Sundays our "internet free" day. Aside from logging in my food I won't be on the computer. Everyone have a great rest of the weekend. I'll check in on Monday. |
Hey Littlered~
I just noticed that you've almost reached the 20lb mark!:bravo: You are doing great! |
Charlene Congrats on Graduation!!! Enjoy it!!! That time goes by so fast!!
Yesterday was good for me. I didn't really eat much, so my calories were low. But I didn't really do much. I was messing around on the computer pretty much all day yesterday. But I think I have finally moved off my plateau that I have been at for almost 2 weeks, I think. I don't know we will see tomorrow. Going shopping today to get DD a dress for the Sugar Festival Princess Contest. We live in a area that has a big sugar processing plant so they do the Sugar Festival around here. Then after that my cousin is having here dd's b-day party at Mickey D's. Well I will make sure I eat before we go there. That is a trigger food for me and I will just eat more and more. The kids should have a fun time though. I was hoping to get a run/jog in today, but the weather lady is saying it's going to rain this afternoon. I guess I will have to jump on the gazelle. Well everyone have a great Sunday!! Mary |

Zenor,
thanks. That is why I said No, when my hubby tried to give me a candy bar to eat at kmart last night. I told him I WANT that 20 pounds! He just looked at me funny. I think he is testing me. ( I did eat a 2 small squares of his and no more! ) You are kicking butt... loosing fast. I would not worry about your one day that is higher than normal. Sometimes a body just requires a few extra. That was not high as it COULD have been... had you ate with abandon. Keep up the hard work! I know some girls that are eating 1/2 what I eat. and don't loose. It is how healthy the food is too... don't ya think? That and the old starvation mode. I have been counting mine faithfully too. But I am not as strict with the amounts as I was. I am keeping between the14-1600 calories a day. I don't let myself get starved. my total for yesterday. cal: 1471 fiber was low at 38. water: over 100 oz. I spent saturday with my family. Dgd was here for the afternoon. Oh! she brought those other 2 people with her too...mommy and daddy. ;) They bought a harness to use to help her with her walking. Sure helps your Back! She is so tiny. bending to help her walk is very bad on an old back. Still at 20 pounds. and around 30 inches. Fits size 18 months just great. she will be 2 in JULY. She is a grandma's girl. poor hubby, its killing him. he will be playing with her, and when I walk buy she hollers for me! He plays loudly. and she is a quit girl. So am I. Take her outside, and your out for the day! she loves it outside. she has a good tan already. below is pic of her sleeping at the zoo. Petra, I don't think having Ice cream is bad. Its keeping up a good healthy diet and your calories. By looking at your ticker... I would say you have been doing great. Tinky, I go to the farm market every week here. I end up spending half of my grocery money there. its hard to get out with less than $80. I do get my fish and most of my meat there too. better prices and quality! |
Thanks everyone for all the congrats.
I weighed today, and I gained a pound from yesterday. :( There was sooo much food at all those parties! Cake, cookies, pizza, mini sandwichs, etc. I'm going to be better today. (Well, starting now. There was some cake left on the counter, and well, you know...) I'm making my grocery list as we speak, so the menu for the next week will be better. Only thing is, I'm kinda nervous, because I'm gonna be at home all week! No school to keep me busy. I hope I just don't eat all day! I also need to stop drinking pepsi. (I mean it's diet caffeine-free, so I'm not using calories for it.) Last summer I became addicted to Crystal Light Lemonade, but now whenever I drink it, it burns my throat, I don't know why. Any other reccomended flavors? I love the fruit punch but I can't find it for the life! June Goal : Don't gain too much weight on vacation. We leave in a week! YAHOO! :dancer: |
mmm Thai food is another binge food for me :( Seriously, I could eat a mountain of Pad Thai, the entire bowl of Tom Yum and the combo appetizer. My eyes and nose would be running from the "make it hot" request, but I'd be in heaven. LOL
|
Did someone say phad thai? That sounds so yummy right about now! I can eat thai food all day long. I love it hot too. Ok I need to stop before I head out to the Thai restaurant, that is the only dish I cannot cook! I don't know what it is!
LittleRed- I'm waiting for DF to come back home from getting the car washed (men and their cars), so we can go to the Farmer's Market. I'm excited!! Charlene- I wouldn't worry too much, that 1lb could be bloat from eating too much salt. Give it another couple of days. I did that las weekend and ended up losing. Don't fret. Petra- Oooh sugar festival, sound awfully tempting. We were at Pike Place market yesterday, and they were having tons of outdoor food stuff, all rich and yummy, but I didn't bother to try or buy any. LOL I'm all sore from my workout, today was my cardio/strength training day. Yikes! Zenor- Good luck with your search! :goodluck: Well see you all tomorrow!!! |
I'll tell you what, you can't miss a day around here at CCs! :( I've gotten so busy that I can't keep up with the chat thread. We are probably going to be moving very soon, and I have a house to pack up with 3 tiny ones. Eek! So I will try to drop in here and there, but I have so little time that I only have time on the computer to enter my calories. I will come by when I need some support, and can hopefully find a minute to offer some as well. :^:
So, that out of the way..... I've been doing pretty well. I've been maintaining 178-181 for about 2 weeks. I haven't been as good about exercise and eating, but not majorly cheating at all. I just have been so busy that I haven't had time to enter my calories everyday, or log my weight, or anything! So I have been "slipping" a little, sort of in a slump. It feels good to in control of my eating habits, instead of not trusting myself around food and never feeling "full". (I wasn't emotionally full, and when I addressed that, my attitude changed immediately. I am going through such a profound, personal transformation right now in how I feel about myself.) Anyway, I'm just under 1200 right now and Mike and I are getting ready to order sushi and hibachi for dinner - sushi for me, hibachi for him! I will easily come in under 2000. I hope everyone continues to do well. I glanced at your tickers and posts briefly! Zoe, I did see the adorable picture of your and your son. You look great! Maybe I'll post some before and after pictures......I've changed a lot in 20 pounds!! |
Carrie, moving is so not fun with the littles. If you can get a family member to watch them for you, I'd highly recommend it;) BTDT! I'd love to see your before and afters. You're doing great!
-------------------------- I had a higher cal day (1822) because I was feeling a little malnourished, actually a little light headed. Its so hard to gage with the nursing and he's been nursing a little more than usual I think. So I'm probably needing more water and more cals. Tomorrow's another TOPS weigh-in. |
Zoe - How old is your son? Growth spurts typically occur around 2 weeks, 6 weeks, 2 months, 4 months, and 6 months. My girls seem to be going through a growth spurt as well, because all of a sudden they're a lot hungrier than usual, and my body is struggling to adjust to two. (But it is definitely doing it, just a little slower than a singleton.)
Try some Mother's Milk tea and boost your protein and HOH intake. That's what I'm doing right now, because having hungry babies is not fun, even though you know your body will catch up soon. BDTD? I will see about taking a picture today that does my hard work justice! |
So far I've had a strange calorie day, if you look at my fitday, you'll see. Mushrooms, Potatoes, Ranch, & Jell-O. Only a combination I would make.
Does anyone know anything about a website that deciphers dreams for you? I don't know what's wrong with me, but I've been having the worst dreams lately. I mean like, wake up in the middle of the night terrified dreams. |
Calories for yesterday~ 1476
Fiber~ 42 grams Thank you everyone for the encouragement! I really appreciate it! I let work know today that more than likely we won't be staying in the area after August (no jobs for DH.) They were very supportive and want me to stick around to train a replacement (which is good~need the $$$.) I had to be honest about it because I'll be leaving at our busiest time (harvest) so I just couldn't leave them in a lurch and not tell them. It's hard; I hate crying in front of a bunch of men. :o Charlene~ I don't know of a website to desipher dreams, but I think this is a normal thing for your "time of life." Transition always makes me stressed and on edge. You just graduated HS and are off to face the world. It can be very scary, so I can see why you'd have bad dreams. You'll be fine! If they are really bad maybe you can find someone to talk to? I always find that helpful (talking through stuff.) Oh, and I agree, your gain is probably just bloat. I'm still up a bit on the scale too from the Thai food I had Saturday. I feel bloated for sure! I'm going to drink lots of H2O today to hopefully flush all the salt out of my system. Tinky~I made Pahd Thai at home once. I used an authentic recipe (more of a procedure actually.) It was good, but WAY too much work! Plus, there really is no way to make it low calorie, all that oil really is necessary for it to taste right. We did order some, but there were four of us so I didn't eat much. |

my little guy is just about 3 months old now. :) |
Zoe ~ What a beautiful boy and you are looking fantastic!
Tinky ~ I will stay away from Chinese for a while myself. What a horrible feeling to actually feel your feel blowing up like balloons. Not a feeling I want to repeat. Littlered ~ DGS used to favor me over everyone else but now he is becoming a Grandpa’s boy. Yes, it is back hurting work having a little one learning to walk. Charlene ~ WTG on the graduation, WHOHOO! I am sure that pound will come right back off but I know what your talking about with not being busy. That is a very strange combination of things. HAHAHAHA! Carrie ~ I am going to miss your daily posts dearly but it is totally understandable. I can’t image what your going to be going thru trying to move with little ones. They are enough work under normal circumstances. For those of you that are members of Curves, do you like it? I am probably going to join tonight. I have an appointment to check it out. I am hoping it will get me motivated and moving again. I know it sounds silly but I need something and then maybe DH would be more thoughtful when it comes to food because I am spending money to lose. HAHAHA! I would love to address everyone more thoroughly but it has been super busy day here at work. I blew it this weekend and needless to say I am a little irritated with myself but today is a new day and I need to get this weekend thing figured out and down. I want to be healthy and why I keep letting in unhealthy things is beyond me. Today’s menu: Breakfast: Chik Patty, ¼ c. Fiber One cereal, ¼ c. Silk, ¼ c. Strawberries Snack: ½ Smart One pizza, ½ c. Carrots, 2 Tbsp. FF Hummus Lunch: Smart One Santa Fe Chicken, Salad w/ 1 Tbsp. Toppings and 1 Tbsp. Dressing, 1 Banana Snack: ½ Smart One pizza, ½ c. Carrots, 2 Tbsp. FF Hummus Dinner: 1 Chik Patty Salad (lettuce, bell pepper, onions) w/Franks Hot Sauce, ¼ c. FF Cheese Exercise: 20 minute walk and maybe Curves tonight if they let us start tonight. Well I better get going as the work day is drawing to a close and I need to address a few more things before I leave. Talk at you all tomorrow. |
Well if I stay on track today, I should come in easily under 1500. :carrot:
GrammyL ~ I'm a member of Curves and I love it! I'd highly reccomend you join it, the people there are extremely supportive, and I just love it there! We joined last year when they had a deal where you got in with a $0 service fee, but we kinda slacked off and didn't go. We started again last week, and people are as nice as ever. :) |
Lara,
I go to Curves and love it. like everything else, you get out what you put into it. I have seen women go home red, sweaty and tired and others that just like to talk more than anything else. So go... and work hard as you can. I have been going 4 days a week now. Add the elliptical and Ab lounge and sometime walking. I get a good work out. Weighed in this a.m. I am one half pound from 20 pounds. I am so excited. My first 20! WILL BE THIS WEEK. my total for Sunday: 1318 calories 40 fiber 96 oz water |
good for you, Theresa!!! your first 20!!!
I did curves through part of my second pregnancy. At first I liked it, then it just wasn't my style. I don't think I ever really could work up a sweat like I saw some women doing. ---------------- 4 pounds down (for the last two weeks) at my weigh-in. and I won $35.00. I keep coming home with money. Its like a second job just losing weight. haha! |
