I really enjoy "How to Look Good Naked." I've been struggling with how to accept my body as it is right now (STILL working through Bob's book) and this seems to help me with self-acceptance. It gives me hope that I can get "there" mentally! I missed this week's episode...need to watch for the replay!

Good Morning Everyone!!

So I don't know if it's just me, but I'm having a really hard time now that the challenge has stopped. I can't get back on track. I have good intentions at the beginning of the day but by the time I get home I lose it. I don't exercise like I should when I get home and then I eat things I shouldn't or more than I should. On a brighter note my hubby and I have talked and he's more than willing to lose weight with me. He doesn't have much to lose, but exercise and eating healthier will be good for him. So why the heck can't I just get back to it???

Congrats to all of us losers!! You guys are all inspirations to me

Good morning, Friends!

Today is open house at the daughter's schools and they start back to school on Monday. I'm one excited Momma! Once we get them settled into a routine, Hubby and I are joining a fitness center where we can use the weights and I can take some classes...like spinning. I'm really hoping this will crank up my weight loss and help with losing some serious inches.

I've toyed with the idea of putting the scales away during this "hiatus," but I've decided not to. My scales keep me accountable with myself.

I must brag a little about my Hubby (who has signed up for the next challenge as Frank Ricard ) who does all of our cooking. During this last challenge, my oldest daughter wanted to become a vegetarian. I decided that it would be healthy for us to start eating less meat and more veggies and whole grains in a wide variety. Hubby was fine with this as long as I could provide a recipe for him to follow. Now, we are eating healthier than we ever have before and we even have some vegetarian meals.

I must give a shout out to my girl, Jen. Girlfriend....I'm counting on you! Let's do this! Dig down deep and find your committment again. It's still there, I'm sure.

Yesterday, I did my grocery store run for some fresh produce. We'll be trying Jaime's butternut squash and black bean tacos. We're also having my favorite butternut squash and pasta dish, and a yummy looking quinoa recipe from Anna. I'm excited about my veggies these days.

Hope everyone has a great on-plan day.

For Sale or Lease
(2)4 year olds and I am willing to deliver

Wanted
Cook, cleaner, dishwasher, laundress

I'm trying to work the kids into some sort of routine before preschool starts in 2 weeks and I am not succeeding. My seasonal allergies are flaring up. I've been waiting patiently for TOM. I'm on day 46 and this has been my longest cycle in over a year. I'm a bit *****y to say the least. I'm also trying to not eat the cupboards bare. Gonna go drink yet another glass of water.

I'm just a bundle of joy aren't I? Oh, and despite the fact I said I was trying to stay away from the scale I still got on it this morning. That is one habit I need to break. The rest of my food for the day in planned and I am going to take the kids outside to run around soon. Maybe I can get in some jump roping while they are in the pool.

Jaime - AWESOME about the 189!! Go you!

Amy - 2 hours of swimming - are you sure you're not in the Olympics?

Jen - Hope you're feeling better and can pull it back OP! Have you tried any of the vegan recipes you were looking at? New food helps me stay on plan.

Rhonda - you're going to rock this next challenge with the fitness center and hubby along.

I'm back from the beach and still tired today. Just going to do some laundry and study later this afternoon (he he and catch up on shows!) I walked about 16miles on the beach while I was there but the scales still disappointed me a bit when i got back. Not horrible but I didn't count calories and the drinking didn't help any! Back on it today. I will be under 200 before the next challenge starts!

Wow - this is a busy thread! I hope all of you stay this chatty when the challenge starts! I need the support! (I'm only a little selfish)

I'm at a point in which the scale seems STUCK! I've been bouncing between #188 & #186 for 3 weeks now! I know the inches are coming off, and that I'm building muscle - but GEEZ I WANT A SMALLER # ON THE SCALE!!!

I'll check in later - right now I need to figure out lunch...

Is anyone having trouble with their thread subscriptions? In the past I'd just click on userCP and it would show updated threads. Now it's showing the same ones for about a week and I have to click on all subscribed threads to see my actual updated ones?

I would love to take a spinning class! That's great that you and hubby are going together.

I just wanted to say thank you so much for helping me find my commitment. You are an amazing woman and I'm blessed to have you.

Hi everyone...
I hope you are all having a great day, so far. YAY...tomorrow is Friday! I have an exciting weekend planned, I am sooooooo looking forward to it! I am really going to try to stay OP. Luckily, one if the days involves a LOT of walking, so that should help. I really can't wait for the challenge to start, the side exercise challenges really helped to keep my butt in gear. Once I set a goal in front of everyone, I do whatever I can to make it happen. I am really looking forward to the accountability. Well, I am going to get back to work.

OP thoughts to everyone!

Me too! I am planning for my graduation with my accounting degree and subsequent CPA and reaching goal weight to coincide. To celebrate these 2 acheievements I have planned to go to LA Ink (the one in the show on A&E)and get a tattoo on my outer thigh/hip of a pin-up in a modified business suit with pencils in her hair and an adding machine spitting out a long receipt. I CAN"T WAIT!

Go to User CP at the left in the purple row of links at the top of the page...from there go to edit avatar...you can pick one that is preloaded by 3FC or any picture that you want, by browsing your computer.

Hope that helped!

Thank you for the welcome. I am sorry if it sounded as if I am just going to post my weight once a week. (I don't always express myself well, when I write...) I am definitely going to participate. One of the reasons I wanted to join in on this challenge is to give and receive support. I think it is crucial in one's weight loss journey. And you all seem like a great bunch and I would very much like to get to know you better.

I am not really good at shoutouts and personals. I do my best, but I am not as great as many of you. I do read all the posts and think of people as I do, tho.

I remember when my son was that age. He drove me up the wall. And he was a singleton. I feel for you. But I don't want yours. Been there. Done that. Don't need to do it again.

If you find a good, cheap cook, cleaner, dishwasher and laundress, let me know where, huh? I could use one, myself.

You just described my DH! I can forgive him his meat addiction as long as he keeps folding the laundry and washing the floors! (And a couple other things he excels at!) Sorry you are struggling though.

Sorry I'm not being good at shout-outs on this thread. I'm so busy I can hardly think...

WELCOME to all the newbies!

Being good and OP though. Josh killed me again on training yesterday. 3 new ab moves and I can hardly breath this morning my abs are so sore. How can they get this sore? It's not like I don't do them regularly!

Jennifer - We (and I mean me too) are not allowed to go crazy in between challenges. We can do this. I am going to do a 60 minute walk and 30 minutes of hooping each morning while I am in NY. I may not have anything else to work with, but my shoes and my hoop can travel.

Oh No!. I don't own underwear that can crawl up my butt, I will never do a spin class to the same reason.

I was thinking more along the lines of getting my belly button pierced.
