Karen~ No, that's not the one I had. The one I had, had a seat on it. I tried to find a picture of it but nothing. When I look back on it now it's just the funniest thing...LOL!! The things we do and the stuff we put ourselves through to lose weight is just funny

Roni~ It does sound like a Migrain. You've been so stressed lately and that's probably what's causing it. When I get bad head pounding headaches I take 3 Advil Liquigels, I put a cool rag on my head and I lay down in a quiet room for like an hour. It works. Hope you feel better.

All this talk about exercise machines got me thinking. What's your favorite exercise equipment commercial?

Mine is the one with the Ab belt (don't remember what it's called). You put it around your waist and it shakes. It's supposed to tone your Abs while you do nothing but sit there. When I first saw this I thought it was so funny...LOL!!!!

Diva I hope your headache goes away, STAT! Sounds like a migraine to me (I get them occasionally still and they SUCK!).

This is something I am sharing with all 3 teams:

Philosophical thought for the day:

Do you love yourself?

"At the heart of personality is the need to feel a sense of being lovable without having to qualify for that acceptance."

-- Dr. Paul Tournier

How do you see yourself as unlovable?

Take a few minutes to write down why you perceive yourself to be unlovable. Look at the list and see if you can identify where those characterizations originated. Can you pinpoint old messages from parents, teachers, and friends that led you to negative conclusions about yourself? Are those messages valid today?

The beliefs we adopt as children usually don't hold when we view them objectively as adults. Can you let them go? Can you begin to see yourself as a unique expression of life, a genuine gift to the world?

"You, yourself, as much as anybody in the entire universe, deserve your love and affection."

-- Buddha

"Limitless like the ocean are your excellent qualities."

-- Dalai Lama

Favorite exercise equipment commercial to mock? I've seen it posted on 3FC before, but the hula chair thingy is hysterical!

I had a good day yesterday. My back is still hurting, but I made it through my exercise anyway. I have no clue why it's hurting so much but I'm going to try a heating pad tonite. I'm following my plan and drinking a ton of water so really hoping for a decent loss this week.

Diva- sounds like a migraine. That's how I get when I have one. Really miserable. I have to block out all stimulus, take a ton of advil, and ice my head...yes, I totally have to put ice on my head. I get them really severe when I get them.

Wacky Wednesday Red team!

What something NEW are you going to try today? I'm not really doing anything new. I am going for a walk instead of doing my biggest loser dvd to try to change things up a bit.

And because its Wacky Wednesday.....what is the weirdest weightloss plan or exercise routine you've ever tried? I've not really tried anything too weird...I did try the grapefruit diet and atkins, which I had to stop cuz it was affecting my liver. Oh yea, and quite a few years ago, my dr. put me on xenical...yea...didn't stay on that long...lol.

I think the weirdest diet I ever tried was the one that my boss here at work swears by (I work at a longevity/anti-aging lab): You eat nothing except for 2 slim fast shakes (~400kcalories) on three days of the week, like MWF and then the rest of the time, you can eat whatever you want and as much as you want. Sounds great - in theory. But it gave me headaches so bad it wasn't even funny - ones that would last for 2 or three days. So I gave that one up!

What's the grapefruit diet? It appears to have been very popular.

Default Wacky Wednesday

The weirdest weight loss plan I have ever tried has to be the Atkins diet. I had the hardest time with that thing. I am such a carnivore that I think I kept over doing it and then my body would run really hot. Actually, on the second day of the "diet," I was in a meeting with some people who could make or break a career (high end VPs) and I kept nodding off because I was crashing when I had to have a carb to level off all the heat the meat was making me feel all the time.

Love Love LOVE Atkins. Not that I can follow it because it isn't feasible to have 2 eating plans with a family. But my body LOVED it and I felt amazing. When done correctly and to the letter it can do wonders for your insides.

Weirdest diet.....

Nothing weird really, just always gimmicky I guess...the usual, pills, Mayo Clinic Diet....which is like the grapefruit diet, I think... and when you get down to it an ultra low carb thing which of course would cause you to lose but not realistic.

Ooohh, me- me - I have a weird weight loss story. Back in the day - before some of you were even born, Water Pik marketed a bite counter. It was a cute little white electronic gizmo - you pressed the button every time you took a bite and chewed in time with a blinking light. You couldn't swallow until it blinked 25 times. You then had to put down your fork, drink something and repeat the process. You had to log how many bites you took during each meal.

My something new today - I started painting the carport - which hasn't been painted in 25 years. Painting over my head (the underside of the roof) for 2.5 hours has my shoulders screaming for a massage - gotta go find DH

Wacky Wednesday Red team!

What something NEW are you going to try today?

Umm...Nothing...hehe. Well, I decided I was going to try and use my crock pot tomorrow...that is new. And it was decided today!

And because its Wacky Wednesday.....what is the weirdest weightloss plan or exercise routine you've ever tried?

Well...I haven't really done any weird ones....just the usual. Weight Watchers, Sommersizing, Atkins, Body for Life...etc. Body for Life was a little weird to me because you can eat whatever you want for a day. Of course, I figured it would count as midnight to midnight. It was ugly.

Lonnie - YAY!!! I love riding my bike! I need to get out there more often though!

Fat Chick B Gone (I think you should change your name ) -Congrats Heather! Too bad about the internet.

I think I spent $80-$100 at the time (of course it was clearanced at $20 within 6 months). It was so confusing that I had to put labels on it to explain to myself how to use it and where the different bands went. I'm not sure but it could possibly be the same one Lonnie is talking about. Here's a link.....I know there's "link" rules but let me assure you all that this is NOT a recommendation but rather mockery!!
I WANTED THIS!!! Glad I didn't get it...

Diva -
Congrats on the loss!! I hope your headache goes away.

joylove26 - Hope your back starts to feel better!

kellybones - I think everyone would be scared of me for those 2 days of just slim fast shakes.... I can be a nasty piece of work when hungry!

CountingDown - OK the Water Pik thing sounds kind of scary...lol.

to everyone else!! Today is my 2nd OP day....

Hey everyone... I found this interesting. From Men's Health. They also do eat this not that kinds of articles and the worst food in America. Well this one is what to eat when you are feeling sad, stress, fat...etc. Very interesting. Thought I would share.
