Consistency. I'm not really good at the steady state. I tend to start and stop. A lot. This is ALWAYS a problem. I have big plans but...not so much usually with the follow through.
2. What do you think would help you?
That's what I try to use this forum for as well as my blog and my weight loss challenge group I started with my family (and boy, you want to talk about unconnected...I'm moderating for 9 people and if I'm lucky, I can drag one response a week out of about half of them besides their weekly weighin. I don't even know if they read my emails that I send out to motivate them!)
3. Are you excelling at something? If so what area?
Right now, it's the planning. I am planning things well. Especially food!

As for the unconnectedness, this is my first challenge so I don't really know what it was like before. I feel some amount of support but I'm not really sure how much I should give out. I'm afraid to come across as nosy, nitpicky or pushy (all of which I've been told I am). I read everything everyone posts but I never know what to say usually. As for personals...um. Yeah. I have a really hard time with names and just recently figured out the whole quote button thing. That is helping a lot!
My take on all of this is - most of us seem to feel shy/nervous/worried that people are going to judge us in this group. I think we need to try to let a lot of that go.
P.S. Diva, when we first started this challenge I actually thought you were like the co-leader/sub-leader/assistant leader. It's only recently that I determined that you're just the one who's been stepping up to help out when help is helpful. :-) I feel like I should have been helping out more but major kudos to you for doing it!
Red Team! You are all strong compassionate people! Just want you all to know that YOU CAN DO IT! Show airing or not. This is about YOU amazing individuals. Take one day at a time and even break it down to hour by hour! The harder the struggle the bigger the reward! Love and Hugs to all! Go get em Team!
she's my right hand woman! And I'm so grateful for her help!
Trust me...if someone is gonna think you are being too nosey, nitpicky or pushy then this is not the right medium for them. Ask Diva....she'll tell ya how I called her on the excuse making the first challenge we did together. She got so mad at me!! But she came back and now look at us! I say its better to call it like you see it...sometimes the truth hurts but its better in the long run.
I agree with Andi & Mel on he summer and the Show thing too. BTW Andi, I think you ROCK! I really enjoy reading your post and I am in awe of you and your exercise, as I am with Muse too.
I am glad we are only going to be doing these when the show is running from now on, because I do think it helps with the motivation and whatnot.

HA! Those were the days hehe! I'm telling y'all, she pissed me off real good, lol!
I also doubt I will do another one, I just don't have the time in my day to keep up
I hope you change your mind because this is a really FUN challenge when the show is on and peeps are staying in more.

Hey Diva girl, waving a big hi to you too. We miss you also on the Black team and do appreciate you popping your head in to say hello from time to time. I'm on the other side of the state from you and also find it hard to meet people down here. Maybe it's just because everyone is so busy with their own well established lives that they don't think about reaching out to someone else. Kinda like changing schools in high school - yanno? You ARE doing awesome on your exercise. Very proud of you.
To the rest of the red team. Please don't give up. This particular session has limped along compared to some of the others. I chalk it up to it's summer and especially for people that live in colder areas of the country - gotta get out and soak up as much of the sun while you can before the autumn winds blow in again too quickly.
I do admit to lurking on your thread. I enjoy your questions of the day and some of the daily challenges you have set for the team. Makes me think too even if I'm just on my side of the fence talking to myself
Have you guys seen Black team recently? Those girls are kicking @$$!! We need to pull ourselves together and run this challenge out in style! So I wanna know:
1. Are you struggling? If so in what area?
2. What do you think would help you?
3. Are you excelling at something? If so what area?
Lets see if we cant get our team on the same track...towards success!! Please answer the above questions everyone!!
1. I'm not really struggling to stay OP, but with just being in a mental funk. I gained two pounds over vacation (it was only 4 days, and I didn't go crazy), and it just isn't dropping back off like I was expecting. I've been staying below 1600 calories and 50 carbs, yet as of yesterday, I haven't lost anything since Saturday. I mentioned earlier that it is probably water retention due to starting running again (stopped for a week), but it is a bit depressing to be so careful, and not see any results.
2. The *ahem* scale needs to move! Actually, things have gotten easier. I've been on this journey now for eight months, and it is almost second nature to me, plus my family (especially my Dad) has become a lot more supportive. I think that they thought this was just come kind of fad that I'd give up after a while, but I think they are really starting to see how dedicated I've become. My Dad even called me skinny the other day (he was being a bit premature, but it still made me feel great!)
3. I don't seem to have any problem staying within my calorie limit. I absolutely love tracking my food. I even use it now to plan stuff out a day ahead of time. And I've been quite faithful (at least for me) in my chosen exercise routine.
Good Morning Red team!! How is everyone this fine morning!! Just want to repost our questions I'd like if everyone could hop in on the conversation and really get things rolling around here!!
1. Are you struggling? If so in what area?
2. What do you think would help you?
3. Are you excelling at something? If so what area?
And for the rest of us who have already done those ones....
What is something in your life that you do on a regular basis that if you could never do it again, your life would feel incomplete?

Must I chose only one? Oh, this is SO difficult!! Well, for the last, oh I guess it's been 4 years now, I've watched a movie or old tv show directly before bed. It is my alone time, when I relax and drink a nice diet soda in the quiet of my room. I've noticed that if I don't get a chance to do this for a couple of nights I'll start getting grouchy and antisocial. My Dad likes to tell me that I'm getting addicted to movies, and in some small way I am, but I don't see how it is any worse than he and Mom drinking coffee and playing Ms. Pacman every evening. People just have different ways of relaxing.
