ok kim ill make a deal with you then.. since i love toddlers and hate the whole pregancy baby stage you can carry them and feed them in the middle of the night and be covered in puke .. then when they are toddlers and learning to feed themselves toilet training and exploring the world asking why? 100 times a day i will take them for you.. lol I LOVE TODDLERS... even naughty ones.. lol I love there litte faces when the discover new things .... lol but i hate pregnancy and i hate babies lol ... im not and never will be a baby person.. even with my own kids... lol I loved them but i didnt enjoy that stage ... lol
I'll run that plan past my DH to see what he thinks. On the one hand he thinks I look great when I'm pregnant and when I'm not puking I can't keep my hands off him, but on the other hand I get so hormonal and emotional!
My eating today was cruddy. I snacked too much during the day and then my brain went out the window at my in-laws. They had the freaking chocolate fountain set up! At least I had strawberries and bananas as my dippers. But I just ate too much in general, including a few Jelly Bellies and a very tiny piece of birthday cake. Anyone want to give me a kick in the pants so I'll get back on track for tomorrow morning?
Hi all, I'm Dora 57 year old living in Oregon. Been an RN for 25 years, have had 5 children - 4 boys and 1 girl - the girl is Down Syndrome (Jessie) and the angel in my life. I enjoyed being pregnant, did not enjoy labor and also detested the 3-year old "I don't want to" or just plain "NO!" so I'm glad to be a grandma now who can send them home ;-) I also homeschooled while I lived in California to keep my sons out of contact with the numerous gangs at the high school there and I've never been sorry I did it.
Like Debi and onthetee - I only have pierced ears, one of which got ripped through while nursing (the baby pulling the earring) and it never went back together. My sons call it my "pac man" ear.
Re: QOTD
This is my first TBL Challenge, just joined 3fc in March this year. Losing weight will change the way I think of myself in some of the same ways the following team members already described so well:
LittleBigGirl - be more open to people mj - though my husband says I'm sexy - I'll really feel it. Cindy - I'll no longer feel invisible Debbie - feel more like a woman, and feel like wearing a dress Jennifer - wear shorts and not hate my legs FindingFawn - get back in touch with that part of me that wants to "come out and play"
I'll enjoy shopping, have more energy and enjoy looking like a "tartlet" now and then ;-)
The worst thing - the resistance from my DH,he swears he likes Renaissance women.
Other questions - how can you help me reach my goals, like others remind me not to let the team down and make me accountable.
Finding Fawn - you can find really nice things at Salvation Army and Goodwill, I dress quite nicely from there.
FresnoBeeDude - I like that - getting to ONEderland - a good goal for me too.
Onthetee - made me laugh "expectorating duo". Hope they're feeling better.
Now, if I can just keep up with you all from here on out - I only read the last 2 pages, but I do look forward to meeting you all and winning this challenge!!!
Oh, and by the way, I'm not at home - DH and I are at The Mill Casino in Coos Bay - at the coast in Oregon. We got 3 nights free for all the money I lose here. We get a bottle of free champagne every day and free wi-fi, as well as coupons off on meals, etc. etc. So . . . I may be a little out of touch for the next couple of days but I will try to check in and see how we're all doing. Bye for now . . . cha ching $$$$
However, that's why I spend some Sunday nights at the CT Rollerderby. Those chickies are hot stuff, and they always look sooooo cute! Plus the crowd tends to be a bit rockabilly... so I get to sit there and think "Oh that's cute... oh I like that... ack that skirt is adorable!... how does she get her hair like that?!" >_>
OK so I'm at work right now and my links are on my home computer. Patience, my dears...
I think *anyone* can pull it off. And you don't have to go complete Rockabilly. You can just wear some of the clothes or get a cute cut or do the make-up. It's not like I'm a "real" rockabilly chick or anything
Rollerderby chicks are really cool though. And TOUGH. Wouldn't want to get stuck in a dark alley and piss one of them off!

I went to Germany for a week and it was awesome! Lots and lots of castles and history. It was in Idar that I visited.. Very beautiful town. They don't like Americans though lol..
How do you quote multiple people in your responses?
So... Maastricht? Maasdriel? Maassluis? Must be way South, in Limburg near the Maas. Beautiful down there. Really, really lovely. Though last time we went there we got a parking ticket that cost like €100!
It's a bit different in Germany. You may have gotten the impression that they don't like Americans but I'm not sure it's entirely true. I think maybe they are just culturally different. And they have a real tough time speaking English, even though they all learn it. I live so close to Germany, I go quite often, though mostly to shop. And I speak Dutch... and I'm learning German... it helps with communication anyway...

I never was very girly until a few years ago, WHEN I was at my goal weight. I stayed that way too, during my maintenance. Now, I do just want to hide in my clothes (plus, sorry, fat girl clothes just aren't that cute here), but I still do my hair and make up and long to wear skirts again... soon!

I DESPISE wearing shorts too! Ugh!!! I only liked it, again, several years ago, but even then, never got real comfortable.

My diet goes out of wack on the weekends as well. It is best for me to weigh in Fridays.
I have been "maintaining" for awhile now. I work out 3-4 days a week, 2.5 hrs at a time. My goal is to see ONEderland by the end of this challenge
I totally believe you will be in ONEderland at the end of this challenge!!!!

I've always wanted to check out the rollerderby, too, I hear about events and fundraisers and i never seem to be able to make it out - i'm jealous you've been.
I miss Rollerderby. I think I'm going to see if they do it at all in Germany.
And if you are an old fart, then I am too (but I just don't care! hahaha!)

I'm always happy to have someone to be accountable to! Let me know what you need for a buddy - I know the time difference can put people off sometimes!
I have to post this now. Don't know if I'll get on again later. Well, I will, but I'll probably have 32 pages to read with you lot!
Gosh, I can't believe all the posts already! It's about time I did an intro, isn't it?
What do you prefer to be called? Yello
We talk a lot about being OP? What is YOUR plan? Counting calories, Swimming/Aquafit.
How can we help you acheive your goals? By not taking it personally if I don't check in all the time. I get intimidated seeing so many posts (and posters), and get overwhelmed easily. I promise, I always weigh in or declare a freebie week if I have to. I will not leave the team hanging, or go MIA when it comes to weighing in. I'm just not all that chatty. I do like having you all as friends and teammates though!
Is there any specific request you have? Looking for a partner to hold you accountable for calories, exercise, etc? Do you need some inspiration each morning? Nope, I'm pretty self-motivated. Just don't hate me if I don't post very frequently. I promise I don't forget about you guys.
About me: I'm single, no kids or pets, just dealing with life. Have lost 67 pounds in just over 10 months so far, am rather consistant in weight loss. I don't eat meat (haven't for 8 years now), and therefore tended to substitute pasta, rice, pizza, potatoes, whatever didn't have meat in it. I didn't know anything about tofu or soy. lol. I just didn't wan't to hurt the animals. Now I have learned how to feed myself properly, and it's so much better.
I love the pool, feel awesome when in the water. That's where I do all of my cardio and strength training. It's worked so far, and I'm not bored yet, because the instructors are varied, and so are the routines. Bought myself a waterproof mp3 player for Christmas, and it is the best thing I've ever used for my workouts. I love that thing. Keeps me bouncin' in the water

good morning,
amy_ im with you I love toddlers and watching the world come to life with them. I run an inhome daycare so its a good thing i love toddlers.I keep 3 2yr olds. They keep me moving all day long.
Karmuz - You really should check the derby out at least. It's in Waterbury. I'll have to double check, but I haven't seen their game schedule lately. There's gotta be one coming up soon! (Go Widowmakers )
Wow. I forgot to come back Sunday to find out if I was a Bluezer and forgot yesterday too. Now we're 19 pages long.
I'm Karen. I just turned 30 this year. I have a 2 year old son. I work at Kmart, Yay. Hoping to become an Assistant this year which is more work but more money. I love art, reading, and my computer.
I'm trying to do Weight Watchers but I need to get back on track and start tracking stuff again. I kind of let myself go these last few weeks so I'm pretty much not down any from the last challenge. I need to go to the gym more often. I kind let that slide a bit also but I only go on the days I work 8-5 cause Aiden is already at the baby sitter and I'm not wasting anymore gas than I have too. On those other days I have to do something though.
Well gotta go. Someone is saying Biiiiiiittte next to me. Must be hungry for breakfast.
Although I'm sticking with Monday for my official weigh-in, I do get on the scales daily. I'm happy to say that the scales are smiling on me today despite the fact that I've not been on plan. I've decided that agave nectar is not a good thing to have around here. My weakness in times of stress is sweet starchy carbs. Did you know that toast with a tiny bit of butter and agave nectar is delicious? Nope.....gotta get rid of the stuff! The good news is that I remembered to set up the crockpot for my steelcut oats this morning. Starting off the day with my oats usually means a great on-plan day. Which is a great thing because the job stress is major right now and I'm constantly feeling the urge to comfort myself with the food. And, family issues are always a challenge. To those of you with the toddlers, I have one thing to say....enjoy them. Soon, they will be hormonal pre-teens who know everything and think you are a total idiot. BTW, does anyone want to adopt my MIL? She lives in a studio apartment that we finished for her in our basement. This morning, I come out of my bedroom to the horrible lingering gift from her of cigarette smoke! Yuck! She decided to smoke in her apartment...a big no-no....because it was cold outside this morning. I am so freaking angry with her right now! I told Hubby to keep her sorry butt away from me today. She doesn't need to come up for a visit anytime soon. Okay...enough of that. Thanks for letting me vent.
Fresno - I also have the goal of Onederland for the challenge. We can do this!
Kim - This is for you. You're right back on track today, right?
Dora - enjoy that free "mini" vacation!
A big thanks for Roni (Diva) who was kind to give me the "rights" to our little blue pom pom girl. (Thanks, Roni. You might be on one of the other teams, but you're okay in my book!) Please feel free to use the cheerleader.....liberally!...in your posts. You can right click on her image, go to properties, and copy the address. Then, when posting, click on the icon for images(yellow box with a mountain) and paste the address in the form that comes up. Voila! Instant cheer.
Hope everyone has a great on-plan day. I'll check back in again later.
Go Blue!

WOW - I just finished reading 11 pages!!!!! I went to bed, got up, went to work and 12 hours later there are pages!!!! You are all very chatty but that is great because it shows how pumped and focused we all are!!!
QOTD---What do you think losing weight will change in your life? What do you think will be different? Better? Worse?
I think losing weight will help my improve my life - health and relationship wise... I hope to gain confidence to seek out new relationships. I think losing weight can only be better ... there is no negative effects on long term weight loss.
I'm thinking about incorporating the C25k plan into my exercise plan, but I'm worried about my knees, one's been dislocated 3x! It don't like cycling I just discovered. Anyone else doing it with knee problems? How is it?
Kelly - how exactly does one run on an elliptical?
The elliptical mimics the circular motion of running, BUT you never actually get "off the ground", hence the lower impact to the joints than running. I "run" buy moving at more revolutions per minute (rpms), than I do at "walking" pace.
I had my knee kicked in by a run away horse when I was in my teens. I generally have so much inflamation in my knee that I am actuall taller on one side (when I used to ride I had one stirrup longer than the other). this also gives me back problems since I don't stand straight.
True running is not really an option for me as far as the doctor's are concerned, esp with the weight I am carrying right now (doing something about that though), but I can "run" on the elliptical.
Welcome FresnoBeeDude -- I bet you WILL see ONEderland, and how good will that feel!
Congrats Rhonda on the good news from your scale! I can't imagine having my MIL living any closer than she does (she lives 5 miles away) I'd have to kill myself or her! I love the blue cheerleader!
Congrats Yello on your loss over the last 10 months, great job!
Velveteen, while I was running this morning I was listening to Lenny Kravitz's "Black Velveteen" song and thought of you, and then I came home and looked up the lyrics because he COULDN'T be singing what I think he was singing -- and, uh, OMG, yes he is! Dirty, dirty, boy but it is a GREAT song though!
I just did my 4 mile run this morning and now I need to plan out my meals for the day.
