I don't think I really replace them with anything. I have a ton of different videos I do, walking/aerobic and toning with Leslie. There aren't a lot of lunges in her videos anyway. I can do 15 on each leg with the back knee going half way to the floor and that is it. Just bothers my knees to much if I try to do more or take the back knee lower.

Ideal
Squats are another thing that are really hard on the knees and I was told not to do them. I do them once a week and only for about 30 to 45 seconds down to a seated position.

ksk
Darn, I didn't know there were two different kinds of lunges. I really didn't notice the drama either. But then, I tend to have a rose tint to my glasses lol. I just enjoy the conversation and support.

Melissa
Nice going for your son. You all are so busy. I have to get clothes but I am still putting that off. I have clothes I can wear so they are good enough lol. I am going to have to get an outfit for church and maybe a nice outfit to wear when we go somewhere. I don't think my really baggy t's and my even baggier jeans are going to do the trick lol. I have a thing about my exercise. I don't want to have rock hard abs so I don't want to do videos with someone with rock hard abs lol. I guess that is why I love Leslie so much. The women on her videos look like real people. Mothers and sisters who have children and jobs and busy lives. Can you imagine how much time and money one would have to devote to look like many of the woman you see in videos lol. I never would take the time to tan so I had a great tan. I am sure never going to devote the time it takes to get rock hard abs lol. It was also an agreement I made with my husband. He said in shape was great, losing weight was great. No muscles. If he wanted a woman who had muscles he would have married a man lol. I can't remember the video I was watching but the woman in it looked great. I mean in shape that doesn't happen with a few videos. I watched them and then thought. Ok, MAYBE I could do that with an ambulance standing in the shadows for me lol. You are doing so great staying OP, congrats.

Melissa - no problem. I knew who you meant! Also, on your suggestion, I just ordered the Turbo Jam DVD's off of Amazon (just the 5 workouts, not all of the extra...it was pretty cheap that way). I can't wait to get them. I was getting tired of the same old stuff that I've been doing lately and need to mix it up. Also, Muse said that she liked them too and she did right by me when she recommended Jari Love who I ended up really liking. I'm trusting you gals!

Good golly, a girl is away a few days and look at all the drama she comes back to!

Hellllloooo Red!

I have really been having a struggle the last few days to stay motivated. I am having major issues with the scale, ended up taking my 2nd freebie because of it, and now I see that I am up another pound to boot. I don't know wth is going on. The 1 pound up I can understand.....Sunday I didnt do so hot with food, ate like a regular Miss Piggy, but the extra 4 that have been hanging around going on 3 weeks now, I have NO idea where that came from. And, its not leaving either! Discouraged, and overwhelmed at the moment, both with my diet and work issues, I have contemplated throwing in the towel and saying screw it all. I'm sick to death of watching every single thing that goes into my mouth! Overwhelmed with the prospect of just how much exercise I will need to do in order to see great weight loss. Ugh, I just don't know girls. It's just been one of those days for me I guess.

Melissa73, congrats to your son for winning! And a big congrat's to YOU for day 88! That is truly an inspiration!

Muse, maybe I missed it, but have you gotten out on your new bike???

Rennie, I think that's why I like the Leslie dvd's so much too....they look like real people! I think its amazing on some of them where it will do a close-up of one of the walkers and it will say how much weight they've lost....usually huge amounts too..that gets me going! Glad to read that you have no more pain! Slow and easy lady!

I cannot do lunges to save my life!!!! I try and try and it just hurts my knees so much! Now squats....those I can do alot of and it actually feels good to feel it burn! lol Is there a certain technique to doing lunges, am I doing them wrong that they hurt me so much??

Karen, yay on the smaller sizes! I have a zillion clothes that will definitely be outta style by the time I get around to fitting into them! LOL I think alot of us have closets that represent "the dieter"...I know mine is like a store sales rack....pick a size, any size! I hope you like the turbo jam dvds! I have contemplated getting those, now that I see so many of you like them I am REALLY tempted now! I worry that I won't be able to keep up tho cause of my size!

Yello...and we are thrilled to have you with us on red too!!! Keep up the great energy!

Danielle...oh it so good to see your sunshine on the board again! You'll get over this bump, I know you will! Remember its not a race, good healthy choices and moving more..thats the key to success no matter what that stupid scale says! We can do this!

KSK - The one thing with Turbo Jam is I suggest you stick with it before you decide if you like it or not. I hated it at first the first time I watched it I almost sent it back, but once the moves click and your body knows what it's doing it gets quite fun especially the "cardio party" ones. Chalene grew on me too I wasn't so sure at first.
