Good luck challengers getting through the evening. Evening is often when I mess up but today I am going to be good, then I will be able to say I completed one day on plan. How difficult could that be? My husband and son are even gone tonight to the season opener for the Braves so it is just me and my daughter who never overeats. One day at at time.

I found evening are more difficult too. Something I know do is start to eat later in the day so I have tons of food left over for late evening. Since I get up between 7 am and 8 am dont go to bed sometimes until 3 I need the food for later in the day lol.

Good evening ladies!! I've been doing well again except for the one pound I put back on after losing two earlier in the week. I am still able to report a 1 pound loss for the week! I will take it as it is the first loss I have seen in a few weeks. Dang plateaus

I did go out and buy a Heart Rate Monitor yesterday morning. I love it! It's a little bulky, but I am getting used to it. We'll see later this evening how well it does in the water as I am going to go swim laps tonight. I've been doing pretty well on my running. I still don't have the best breathing but it will come. I was able to do W3D3 of C25K yesterday. I'm supposed to move on to week 4, but I am going to continue with week 3 for 2 or 3 more days. We'll see.

Melissa, I hope your hubby is getting some relief.

making this a quick as I need to head to the gym shortly after I spend some quality time with my son b4 he goes to bed.

Weight does fluctuate don't worry about a small gain. Be happy you have a loss and look at it that way. Anytime the scale goes down that counts. lol

Rennie,
Yeah, I'm happy with even the 1 pound loss. My weight has been back and forth so much within 1 or 2 pounds for the last 3-4 weeks. It's getting pretty disgusting, I wish it would finally decide to just drop.
I've been counting my calories (usually around 1400 give or take 100-200 either way). I've been exercising at anywhere from 30-60 minutes at least 5 days a week.
Last night I went swimming for 40 minutes. According to my Heart Rate Monitor in those 40 minutes I burned over 600 calories. It was an awesome work out and today my upper arms feel like spaghetti and the front of my shoulders are feelin' the burn. It's ok though, I know I got a good workout that way. My average lap (back & forth) was 1 minute. Hope to continue to incorporate swimming in my routine as I know it is an awesome cardio workout.

Mel, I'm sending healing thoughts to you and your DH.

Here's the NSV Scale-free challenge I started, for those who are interested in celebrating all the changes we are making that aren't related to numbers on a scale! There's no reason we can't participate in many types of challenges, and so many people expressed they wanted a way to not focus just on the numbers on a scale as a measure of worth and progress.

Good morning ladies! Well one more day down this week. So far things are going pretty well, can't complain too much. I really need to up my exercise. I haven't been doing squat lately, which isn't helping me one bit. Probably why I have bouncing up and down a lb for the last I don't know how many weeks.... lol Well I had better get moving, got my books yesterday and have a ton of reading to do already. Check back later, have a great day ladies!!!

Good morning ladies! Well I made it through a shaky day 1, but I made it Today is day 2 for me. I did my workout yesterday, and today I'll be heading to the gym for cardio. It's a nice windy, gloomy day here today...kinda like yesterday without the rain This afternoon I'm going to my MIL's for a lunch visit with her and my SIL. Other then that though not much going on. I'm feeling better today, and a bit more in control. Hope your all having a great day so far!

Melissa- 3am would not be good even for a morning person I don't think I will continue to keep your family in my thoughts. Try to rest up when you can also...you can't afford to get run down and sick right now! I'll workout extra hard for ya today!LOL!

Soul- Thanks for the challenge...sounds great~

Andi- Congrats on the 1lb loss....keep it up girl

Kari- Good morning

Melissa, so sorry to hear about your hubby ...be strong and hang in there. My prayers and thoughts are with you.

Hope everybody has a wonderful POP day today...I am trying to let the scale # this morning not bother me (up 3 lbs...thanks to TOM!!!) as I have been so loyal and on plan that I just want to scream and cry...this is sooooo frustrating! Must think positive.

Talk to you all soon!

Ciao!

I successfully completed day 1 POP also. Yeah! I had a small temptation (the strong smell of a food a have a hard time turning down) and I resisted! It looks like Tina and Kari also completed day 1 POP. How about you Terapet? Were you able to do it?

Sara, I'm positive that your number is TOM related. You've been on plan and this is just a small blip on the screen. Keep doing what you're doing and don't let the frustration turn to poor choices. You're doing great!

Default Day One Success!

Hi Karen, Tina and Kari,

Yeah girls, we all got through the first day.

So now on to Day Two. I wrote a plan for what to eat today but the bad part of me doesn't want to follow it!!! My mind is already playing tricks on me. For example, I am already thinking "how bad could it be?" and "Since I am denying myself XXX then it should be okay to eat XXX" . My mind is a battlefield. Well, on to victory right?! You know, I don't drink much water like y'all do. Maybe that would help. I used to but I got out of the habit. Hopefully it will help keep my mind off eating what I know I shouldn't but really want to but am not going to eat so tomorrow I can say I completed two days OP.

Terapet - I drank more water at the beginning of this challenge but haven't done well recently (since I started struggling.....everything has been more of a challenge). You don't really want to eat XXX because you'll just feel guilty afterwards (at least I would). You deserve to treat yourself right and eat healthy. You're worth it!

So, I was worried that being on spring break would be a bad thing for me - i need schedule! But so far, two days off hasn't hurt me. Now comes the big test - I am going to a resort and spa tomorrow! And I'm going all by myself for some relax time! Here's to hoping that all goes well!
