Hey team!!!

Sorry I haven't been around these past couple of days. We made a rush trip back to my parents house as my dad had some work for the hubby to do - so that's where we are (til Sunday). My dad's computer is ancient and runs at the speed of slug. It's frustrating to try to get on here to check anything and respond to anything.

I'll definitely be chatting (as much as I can) between challenges. I, too, think it's really important!

Michie- how's your cleanse!?! I had to go off of it for a couple of days because I left it here at my parents house over Easter. So, I'm now back on it....that's my life, pretty much...lol

Hope you all are doing well!!! I'll be checking in as I can while we're here....

Uhm, hellooooo

Wow it's quiet in here.

I tried Jillian's Shred part 2 today. Mercy. Lots of stuff in the 'plank' or pushup positon. Doesn't she know how heavy I am? My shoulder blades are sore. Good workout though.

Motherm: have you tried level 2 yet? or maybe you are doing your C25k training today. I want to start that program at some point.

Sxul: Did you make it to the gym today?

Cait: Hope you feel better soon.

Julz: enjoy your visit! I hate slow computers.

Hi everybody else!

Hope4, I've not tried the 2nd part of Jillian's video, maybe tomorrow, today is Day 1 Week 8 of C25k, I am almost done. I've not lost much weight but I've lost 3 inches of my hips in the last 2 months, so I'll take it.

Julz- enjoy the visit, but I agree on the slow computers, we had dial up for the longest time, cuz it was all that was available in the boonies where we live, was so awesome when the DSL people came thru!

Sxc-come on girl, just do it! You don't suck. Some days however, do suck! Here is to a better day today\

Diva- hope you feel better soon, I'm with ya on TOM, I am so happy though, we leave for vacation next week and so I want to not have it while I am away! But that did not stop me from being ticked with the scale this am. I went to the movies with DH last night, ate dinner out OP, had no popcorn and did not lose a freaking thing!
I will also chat between challenges a bit, but I get overwhelmed when there is 5 pages in a day, so I'm not good at the beginning of the challenge.

Cait, feel better!

Dream - I agree with the scale bashing! I just joined a NSV challenge, trying to focus on those too, like shopping in my closet last weekend! So cool that even though the scale won't move, I'm shrinking back into my clothes. I think I will donate my fat clothes this time, so as soon as I start to gain a bit, I'll have to take it off then, before it becomes a big deal.

I was able to get to the gym yesterday, I did some C25K and then the stairmill even though I felt yucky- that stairmill is a killer- I sweated like a horse!

Hey team!

Man I had a rough week! I was super busy with work and all of the pressure that my evil supervisor is putting on me, and I had TOM to deal with as well. It wasn't pretty. Nearly had a nervous breakdown! Well... not really.. but maybe. Anyway, I ate really bad the whole time too. I have been cleansing, but I forgot to take the supplements twice, so I'm not sure how bad that is. I guess I'll see when I finish.

I am eating light this weekend and I went to the gym, so I am already doing better than last week. I love to run now. I think I am going to start the C25K. I just need to move my butt! Brande... I haven't forgot about you! I wasn't able to be on all week, so I didn't have your number! This week should be much better, so let's do it!

I'm off to do some spring cleaning now! Yay! Have a great one and stay POP!

Cait, six pounds! I am impressed. I have thought about a 5k, but I haven't entered one yet, there's one locally in May, maybe I'll shoot for that too.

I actually just got all the paperwork together for a half marathon in September. I'm thinking seriously about entering that and spending the summer training.

Michie, welcome back.

Mavis- I just found a half marathon in september too- I wonder if I will be ready in time- I am thinking of doing the 5K in May and the half marathon in September- I won't have school all summer- the only thing I'll have to do is work part time- so I think I'll have time to train- I just wonder if it is too soon?

caitbeans...congrats on the 6 pounds!! And..good luck with training for the marathon. That is something i would like to work towards aswell. Maybe next year!
hope4me..I haven't tried the 'Shred' but the TBL cardio and sculpt DVDs I have also contain alot of plank and push up stuff. I am getting better at them though!
Mavis...how long is a half marathon? Are you following a specific program to train of that?
Michie...sorry about the 'evil supervisor'. I just started the C25K aswell..now that the weather seems to be more spring-like! It seems to be a fairly popular program at 3FC..have fun with it. there is another thread on here somewhere, and quite a few of our black team post there.

Not expecting a loss this week...totally lost focus this weekend.
Hope everyone else has a good final weigh in!

I've been reading the non-runners marathon guide for women by Dawn Dais, funny, funny book if you get a chance. There is both a half and a full marathon training schedule, they are 20 weeks long, so depending on your date....you could probably work on the full schedule and then you'd likely be more than ready for the half in September and maybe a full at Thanksgiving....

Anyone reading "Does this Clutter Make My Butt Look Fat?"?

Michie, I am going out of town this week (just to Irvine) but please call me when you have a moment so we can coordinate. I bought a bathing suit (EEK!!!) and want to do more aqua aerobics classes.

I ended up buying a Lane Bryant suit because of my discounts, "Real Women Dollars" and such, but, jeez, WHO is making these things? They are so poorly made, so NOT well thought out in design and the cloth on the bottoms is so thin that it is SEE THROUGH!!!

So, I ended up getting a skirted one so that my bottom isn't completely visible through the see through bottom. I really deliberated but knew that the one I am using now just is NOT okay for aqua aerobics anymore, so I went ahead and did it.

I tried on 4 different ones and went with this one:

Here's what I ate yesterday:

2 Boca burgers with lettuce, mustard, Vegenaise, pickle slices, tomato slices and onion.

Delicious stir fry: Broccoli slaw, water chestnuts, garlic scapes, onion, red bell pepper, seitan, extra virgin coconut oil, rice wine vinegar, cayenne, sesame seeds, umeboshi vinegar and an herb and spice blend.

1.5 oz. Dagoba Conocado (87% Dark) with 1.5 oz. sliced toasted almonds.

2 cups zucchini with Red Hot, 2 T. pine nuts, black pepper and 1 tsp. extra virgin coconut oil.

Flax and Soy chips (I am going to avoid buying these again any time soon).

Teas (Coconut Chai, Slimlife Green Tea).

Sparkling berry essence water (Crystal Geyser brand, no sugar/no substitutes).

"Regular" water!
