Hello all, I haven't been here in awhile. I just came out of finals (my school is on a trimester system which makes it extremely difficult), I didn't get to enjoy my break week given I caught a cold, still sick btw. On top of still being sick classes resume today, bummer!

Anywho, I finally saw a loss. It's not as fast as i'd like, but I'm still going along, slow and steady, and hey, it's better than gaining!!!

I hope all of you ladies have a lovely day.

Scenestealer 03-03-2008 11:02 AM

Hi everyone - sorry to be gone so long! I went on a ski trip this weekend and didn't make it onto the 3FC forums at all. I'm back to work in Boston now, and determined to start doing better.

On the ski trip, I ate a ton... but also skied for 5 hours one day and 6 the next, so hopefully that made up for it (I don't trust the calorie counts for what I "should" have burned, though they indicate that I was under my calories). However, I can't really check till Friday, because I don't trust that the scale at the hotel is calibrated the same as my scale at home. Next week I'm thinking about putting my scale in my suitcase just so I can compare the two weights and know how different they are. Anyway, because of that scale consistency problem, I'm not going to be weighing in this week - I'll mark it as one of my freebies.

Mom23BC, I am so jealous of the beach! I think I might head down to Florida next weekend just so I can get some sun.

jlbake 03-03-2008 11:06 AM

Morning Ladies!

I'm sorry for those who are struggling with 0 losses or gains this week. I had a 0 loss too. I think I found my "bumper number." Let's all just keep at it and eventually our bodies will cooperate!

Those of you with successes are so inspiring. Thanks for sharing with us so that we know it's really possible to succeed.

I had a hard weekend emotionally. I just wasn't at the top of my game. Last night, I slipped on water and fell. I totally twisted my arm and back and I have a huge, painful bruise on my leg where I hit the edge of the dishwasher door when I landed. My body is very sore this morning, but my spirits are back up.

I'm off to sell Girl Scout Cookies with my daughters this morning. But I commit to not eating any of them.

I hope everyone has a great OP day today! Keep at it!

bella mia 03-03-2008 11:44 AM

Hi all,
Just checking in to say hi. I stayed home from work today as the last couple of days I have had a wicked headache/ migrane I should say and I am so sensitive to light. I just wanted to enter my weight before its too late...I am sorry but due to TOM's arrival I have been no help. I read some posts but I need to sign out now as I really don't feel well. Just wanted to say thanks for all your support. I will hopefully be back to myself tomorrow...so have a great day ladies.

Ciao.
Sara

Tina30 03-03-2008 12:11 PM

Good morning ladies. I'm just popping in for a second to say hi. I'll be back later once I get things moving over here. I just woke up a little bit ago. I was up at 7:30 with a killer headache, so I went back to bed. Joey has a friend coming over this afternoon, so I need to get ready. Madison was sick all weekend including her b-day. She has just kinda been laying around. I feel awful for her. What a drag to be sick on your b-day, especially when your a kid:( Anyway she still is not feeling well. She has the flu that Kyle just got over. Well I better move along over here. I'll be back sometime later to catch up. Have a great day ladies~

Sometimes it is slow going but each and everyone of us will become the thinner more healthy person we all want to be.

Thanks Shy. I always enjoy your words of wisdome.
I got back from WI a little while ago and I stayed exactly the same. tom arrived so maybe that has a bit to do with it. But I'm just going to keep on keeping on. :D
I'm going to try to catch up with the boards!!! ;)

Literally LOL here. I just saw someone quote this. Me and Cassie must be on the same wave length!!

 Hello my Red Team Ladies!

I'm back from my hiatus of the strep / flu bug! Lemme know if you need anything! :D

skinnyvibes 03-03-2008 03:46 PM

Good morning ladies! Well I too am struggling with TOM, came a little early this month. I had a 1lb gain this week. But I am NOT giving up! I will get past this darn bumper number one of these days. :) Hope everyone is having a great day. I got on my tredmill this morning.

skinnyvibes 03-03-2008 04:17 PM

Hey ladies...I guess I should have said good afternoon on my last post, huh...lol Well I just read Melissa's post on the weekly results. I must say I feel guilty about posting a gain, and because I just can't always seem to post every day. Well during the week, I usually post, but weekends are usually way to busy and I just don't seem to have the time. I just hope you all feel like I am participating, especially since I am so horrible at posting personals.... Some of you are just so good. I love this group, you ladies are so wonderful!

Shy Moment 03-03-2008 06:44 PM

Kari
I find your posting wonderful. You let us know what is going on and you join in with the rest of us. A gain, don't let it get you down to much. You will see that scale going in the direction you want it to go very soon.

Chell
Glad to see you are getting better.

Cathy
A few days before the DOT starts and a few days after are never the time to do a weigh in. You will see a difference by next weigh in.

Tina
Poor little thing. Plan a nice day for her when she feels better.

Bella
Darn another one. That DOT can be a killer when it comes to the scale.

Jen
Oh my gosh, hope you didn't have any serious damage. Just hurting is more than enough. I really hate to fall and I am pretty close to the ground lol. Hope you feel better soon. Oh, I am so glad selling those cookies are in the past.

Laura
I keep what I eat and what I burn separate. I don't eat to burn and I don't burn so I can eat lol. Eat what is good for the body and the burning will take care of itself.

Optim
Any loss is a good loss.

Karen
DOT is over and now is the time to check out what you are eating. You know, all of us from time to time have to tweak what we are doing and not doing.

Mom
I know with this challenge what the scale says is very important. BUT look at the big picture. Your clothes fitting better shows you are losing. Sometimes inches and pounds just don't go together.

Diva
Take it slowly and give that foot use to the pressure again.

CountingDown 03-03-2008 08:14 PM

For those that asked -I am planning on a shopping spree when I hit my goal weight. Whenever that will be. :D
Patience IS a virtue!

Sounds like many of our REDS had a rough scale week. Don't despair. Think of the potential for next week! Stay strong! It IS tough to stay POP after a gain. But remember - it is a mental block - not necessarily a physical one that will hurt you the most.
Let's regroup, stay positive, and we can persevere! We are strong, we are motivated, we are gonna do this!

Andi18 03-03-2008 08:46 PM

I posted a 0 change for today. I was up last week when I was able to finally weigh myself after getting back from my visit with my family and have now lost the weight that I gained. I can tell TOM will be coming soon, it should actually be here any day. I'm hoping TOM won't mess with my next weigh in.

I'm about to head off to the gym to start Week 1 Day 1 of C25K! Wish me luck!!! http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/7/7_5_141.gif

TERAPET 03-03-2008 09:16 PM

Today was a bit of a better day. At least I didn't feel like eating everything in sight. Talk about emotional eater! I bought some "low cal" junk food at the store today. I was trying not to eat junk food but I really missed it and I might as well eat the low cal then the full calorie when I like it just as well. I had a 100 calorie Hostess snack pack after dinner and it really hit the spot. A piece of fruit just wasn't going to cut it. I sure wish I hadn't given up alcohol for Lent!

Diva-thanks for asking about DS2. He is a sophomore at a university here in Atlanta so he can come home whenever he wants so it is not homesickness. He is only signed up for 4 classes and he is not doing any work anyway so it is certainly not that either. He has changed his major twice now and he doesnot like this major either so that has something to do with it but really I can't for the life of me understand how a person could let his parents spend a small fortune to send him to school and then not go to class. Anyway, it was nice of you to ask about him and I hope your foot feels better very soon.

Karen-Thanks for the information about counseling. You are probably right about DS2 needing to talk to someone. I am not sure he would go but I am definitely going to talk to him about it when he decides to answer my phone calls. The whole situation is a mess. He is already on academic suspension because this all started half way through last semester but I didn't realize how bad it was and thought he just had too heavy a workload. That is definitely not the case this semester. Right now I am just taking it a day at a time.

OptimistK-Congratulations on your loss. Good luck with your new semester.

Laura-Skiing sounds like a fun way to get in your exercise. Good for you.

Jlbake-Wow, that sounds like a terrible fall. I hope you feel better soon.

Sara-Sorry about your migraine.

Counting-Congratulations on losing more weight. Your incredible. Those small losses are really adding up!

Tina-Sorry to hear Madison has the flu now. Hopefully she will recover quickly and your family can finally say good bye to that miserable bug!

Hun.e.B 03-03-2008 09:26 PM

Hello my lovelies!! I'm gonna post real quick then attempt to read through what everyone has been up to today! But, in order for me to get time to workout I need to skip personals. I got my paper finished though! LOL!

I was supposed to be going skiing all day tomorrow with my dd's class but now I'm not going all day. I've got to take care of some other stuff in the morning. Hopefully i can get up there for at least a little bit of fun. I havent been on skiis since I was in high school, a LOOOONG! time ago LOL!

I hope everyone is having a fantastic week so far! Not to worry about the scale there must be some freak gravitational pull going on that so many of us are seeing low numbers this week...yeah thats it!! LOL!!

Be good to yourselves team! You deserve all the successes that come with healthy choices!!

Hun.e.B 03-03-2008 09:28 PM

Kari...never never never feel guilty about a gain!! You are working hard, and you are going to have up and down weeks, we all do! thats all a part of this journey, if we lost every single week it wouldnt be so darn hard now would it? You have been an amazing support for your team and I hope that you get what you've given! I for one appreciate you being in my corner! Just keep going! The scale will move again! We can do this!!

Scenestealer 03-03-2008 09:43 PM

Melissa, my skiing was the first time in 10 years, and I actually did really well. By the second day, I was basically at the same level I was at when I stopped skiing. You can do it!!!

Hun.e.B 03-03-2008 09:45 PM

LOL...I'm scared!! but I really want to try! I'll keep you on my shoulder as I'm strapping on the skiis! Thanks for the encouragement!

CountingDown 03-03-2008 10:03 PM

Melissa - you can get back in the groove skiing! I was back on skis for the first time in 7 years a few weeks ago. It will come back to you. Take it easy the first couple runs. And enjoy :)

Shy Moment 03-03-2008 11:05 PM

My anniversary is April 18th. I get to do a shopping spree then. I hope to be down to 143. Wow that date is just around the corner. Seemed so far away when I started this journey. I might wait a bit longer for the spree. Maybe July 16th. I will need summer clothes real bad by then. Maybe just pick up an outfit or two for spring/summer on my anniversary. Hope you have as much fun as I am going to have. I have told myself, if I do not reach that goal by my anniversary then no new clothes.

Andi
Nice going on losing that weight. Don't you worry. You will see the scale going down again real soon.

Terepet
Some people need to pay their own way. Never hurt me to go on loans and grants won't hurt him either. No reason to throw away money. If he pays for it himself he might do better.

Hun
I am glad all of you are having such fun skiing. I have to admit. Going down a mountain on a couple pieces of stick has never really crossed my mind lol.

I"m going skiing on Sunday. I've only skiied once before and I was scared ****less so i'm hoping this experience is better than the first, but my DS feel in love with snowboarding and my friend Laura and my DBF really want to go too, so here I go, trying it again. I remember having a ton of fun and it being a really good workout for my legs. They were sore for a few days afterwards. Wish me luck, I only have 5 more days to count down! LOL

melissa73 03-03-2008 11:32 PM

Hey red team,

I've had a great few days. AFter spending 2.5 hours sledding on Saturday, mom and I went for a 2.5 hour long walk. We wanted to walk and go shopping, so we walked all the way to the plaza which is about 40 minutes away, then we walked around and shopped for awhile and then walked back home. It ended up being 2 hours and 15 minutes to be exact. it felt good but both of our backs were killing us because we walked home with bags. LOL

Today I hit the gym after work and got in about 20 minutes of weights (chest, triceps and abs) then I got into a car accident. OH FUN!!! It was my fault even though I swear I yielded on the green light for my left turn and didn't see anybody coming, then BAM, right into my passenger side tired and my car is out of commission. It's a good thing I have money in the bank and was planning on getting a new car in the Spring, so now i have to get one much sooner. Tomorrow I"ll be taking the day off from work and getting myself a rental car and then car shopping. UGH!!! I was so frustrated from teh accident that I could have eaten anythign and everythign in front of me. Instead, I ate my planned dinner and went to cardio kickboxing and really got a great workout. it really helps to intensify your workout if your pissed off. LOL. It felt great and i'm getting much better at keeping up without having to take breaks after only 3 classes. One month of this and I'll be a lean, mean kickboxing machine! :carrot:

Sorry, no time for personals but I"ll probably have some time for them tomorrow. Have a great day everybody! Drink your water, make healthy choices and move, move, move!!!

Shy Moment 03-03-2008 11:35 PM

melissa
Wow sounds like you are doing great. You know when I read walked to the shopping place 40 min away. I thought, I could never do that. Then I thought, don't be stupid you do walking/aerobic videos that are that long. Why couldn't you walk to the places around here when the weather gets good. Ok, might get ran over by a car, we live out in the country. I do think I could probably beat the tractors that are on the roads lol.

TERAPET 03-03-2008 11:45 PM

Melissa-I am really impressed you were able to handle your car accident in stride. You stayed on plan and went to your kickboxing class. Way to go!

Andi18 03-04-2008 06:59 AM

Wow Melissa73, glad to hear you are okay after the car accident and managed to find the energy to still workout afterwords and continued to eat OP. Also congrats on walking to and from shopping!! :bravo:

Melissa, have fun skiing! You will do fine! I haven't skied (that just does not look right!) in years either. Loved to ski in jr high and high school. I'm hoping when we move later this year (or next year) we will move someplace where I can take my son skiing.

Terapet, is your DS having friend/gf problems at all? depressed? Maybe he could confide in his adviser at college if he has one (he should have one if he has a declared major), his adviser could probably help him figure out what field he wants to go into. My parents didn't pay for any of my college, I have $25k student loan debt (down from $35k). I think my parents forced me to pay, that way if I did decided to not attend class, it would be coming out of my own pocket. I'm not saying to tell your DS he needs to start paying his own way though because if he is depressed, that could definitely make him more depressed. I hope he comes out of this slump soon. I'm sure you are quite worried about him.

Hun.e.B 03-04-2008 10:21 AM

Good Morning Red team!! Had to pop in and get results posted. Congrats to Rennie our BL!!! Excellent job!

It was a rough week for most of us but that is behind us! Week 8 is ours!!!

We are going out to dinner tonight...at least I dont have to find time to cook LOL! Gotta love birthdays, although I cannot believe my girl is 13, where does the time go?
I'm off to get breakfast and pack to head up to the mountain! I'm so glad I didn't go on the buses with the kids...oye!! 7th graders are annoying!!

Oh! I picked up another prevention magazine/biggest loser thing. Lots of recipes in it. There are pics of last years contestants and wow...they are tiny! I'm wondering if some airbrushing was done because those girls are teeny tiny!

Have a fantastic day!

Tina30 03-04-2008 11:07 AM

Good morning ladies~ Sorry I never got back for personals yesterday. The kids had off school, and with Mattie not feeling well it was hard to find time. She was really clingy yesterday. She still isn't feeling well, so she will be home with me today. I got in a great workout though and ate well. Today is my gym day, and I'm glad. I don't think I could lift a weight right now if my life depended on it:) I'm onto day 9 of abstience....I can't believe it. I feel like my brain is starting to catch up with the rest of me!LOL! It always seems like that is the last thing to join the program:) I haven't had much time to read my OA lit. I am making a point of reading today. I find that it really helps keep me focused! I have laundry to get done today also. I also need to check my freezer and pull something out for dinner. Other then that though not much happening. Playing games with Mattie today, if she feels well enough. I am going to try to get back for personals in a bit, but don't hold me to it:)

Rennie- Great job on being TBL!!!

Melissa- Oh no not a teenage girl!LOL! I told Kev I'm dreading Mattie turning into a teen. I remember all to well how I acted:) I think they airbrush almost all magazine pictures, don't you? Have a great dinner tonight! Happy Birthday to your daughter~

Tera- My thoughts are with you..it's so hard watching our kids struggle. I always just want to pick them up and put them in my pocket and keep them safe. Hang in there hun~

Melissa73- I'm so glad your okay...I can't believe you went to a kick box class...your bad ***!LOL! I tell ya kick boxing kicks my butt:) Drive careful girl:) Oh I was looking at your weight loss for the challenge...your doing soooo good! Keep up the hard work, it's paying off thats for sure!

Andi- Good morning...have a great day~

Okay I'll try to get back later and finish up personals!

spidermonkey78 03-04-2008 11:41 AM

Hi Red Team!

I am back. Sorry I have been out of the loop for 2 weeks. I am not sure that I will have time to go back and read all the previous posts. I have noticed a recomit survey that I am going to do. I took both of my freebies the last two weeks. With everything going on I just did not feel like facing the scale. I feel like I have spiraled out of control. My cousin passed away, girl scouts has been hectic, daily stresses have been getting to me, my eating is not great and I have exercised very little. I know I have to get it together now before I undo all the good I have done.

I am ready to get my self back into it. I know I can do this and I need to stay focused and not let the daily stresses get me down.

I will check in later. I have missed all of you so much. It is amazing how much support and motivation I get from the group.

Debalicious 03-04-2008 12:23 PM

Only have time for a quickie again today - this pace is just not letting up! Still no time for anything but work. I'm starting to get a little bummed about it - I miss the gym and getting in a good sweat, I miss catching up on how everyone is doing.

I had a moment of weakness last night and attacked a bag of Crispy Minis - I guess it could have been worse - but I still feel really bad about it. My weight is up and I'm getting really nervous about my WI on Saturday. I really hoped to dip into the 170's this week, but after my slip-up it just might not happen. Hopefully I'll be able to make it up for the rest of the week.

Hope everyone is having a great day!

skinnyvibes 03-04-2008 12:42 PM

Good morning ladies! Well not too much going on here. DS finally went back to school yesterday. YAY! :) I don't know why, but I have been so lazy lately. Seems to be like that for the last year and a half. Ever since I had my open heart surgery. Just can't seem to get back into the swing of things entirely. I've lost all my weight since the surgery. But now I seem to be at a point where I need to exercise more to lose and I am just plain lazy. I think the weather has some to do with that. Last summer I walked every morning with a girlfriend, and we would walk 3 miles. I can't wait for summer to get here. Ok enough of my whining... :)
Melissa, it sounds like you weren't hurt in your accident, thank goodness. I am impressed how OP you were after that. KUDOS to you!

Shy Moment 03-04-2008 01:53 PM

kari
Open heart surgery is a big deal. We aren't taking you had a hang nail removed. It takes time for the body and the mind to get back in sync with what we want to do. Walking is such great exercise. I bet when the weather gets warm again you will be right back out there. Now listen up. What you have to do is find out where those cabana boys walk to get into shape and follow them. Eye candy never heart a thing to keep the body motivated to walk walk walk :)

Deb
Just do without a little thing each day and you will have those calories burnt off in no time.

Dk
I do understand what you are saying but NOT FEELING LIKE IT. Is the slippery slope to the dirty water at the bottom of the hill. I don't feel like, doing laundry, washing dishes, cleaning the yard or putting up with my kids lol but I have to do it. You just tell your self I HAVE TO DO IT rather I feel like it or not. You will get things back on track. You are strong, you are in control. You deserve it.

Tina
Hope the little one is feeling better. How old is Mattie? Sorry I don't remember. Happens when you try to take your head off in a car accident lol. I am lucky to remember my kids names some days. My daughter loves it when I can't remember things like words. One day I said all day long. Yesterday we are going to do this or that. She finally burst out laughing and said MOTHER the word is TODAY not YESTERDAY. Do you know I was happy when that child was born lol must have been the lack of meads that caused that. Thanks sure never thought I would be the TBL.

Darn I knew everyone was having a hard week but for me to be the TBL it was really a bad week. You know you all are strong, you are in control and you are worth being a thinner more healthy person. Lets all pick our selfs up by our boot straps. Get back on that wagon seat and point those horses in the right direction.

Hun
My daughter will be 18 this year. I do understand what you mean. When she turned 13 I had the empty nest syndrome early. She was going to be leaving me, how was I ever going to handle her not being here with me. Now.....oh I think of college lol. I must have missed the post about the accident. I am so sorry, I am glad you are doing ok.

Tina30 03-04-2008 02:02 PM

Rennie- Madison just turned 6....she seems to be feeling a little better today, so I'm hoping she is on the road to recovery! Sounds like your daughter is a rip! I love it:)

ksk571 03-04-2008 02:30 PM

There were snacks in the break room and I had not one but two! What's wrong with me? I haven't had much sugar in so long that it's really messing with me physically. I am on a sugar high. And I'm ticked off at myself. I keep saying that I need to get back on track and I do okay for a little while and then BAM!.....brick wall. I know what I need to do and I'm not going to beat myself up over it, it's just annoying! Okay - rant over.

Hun.e.B 03-04-2008 05:57 PM

Okay, so I drove for almost an hour and a half to ski with my dd and once I got there she was done for the day. GRR!! Teenagers! Wouldnt have been so bad but it was snowing SO hard and I HATE to drive on snowy slick roads, I get extremely stressed and I chew on the inside of my lip so now I've got a ouwie!! Just got home and I'm absolutely exhaused, good thing I didnt ski or I may not have made it LOL!

Is anyone working out tonight? We probably wont be home during the show or I'd challenge someone to a last chance, just curious if anyone was gonna get some sweating in?!

Yellofly 03-04-2008 07:02 PM

Sorry about the skiing, but I hope your dd had fun. I know how you feel about driving in the snow... I'm debating whether I'll be able to get to the Y for aquafit tonight. I'd have to leave in about half an hour so I'm really not sure whether the snow will get worse & am checking the window every few minutes. I really hope I can go, I've been so sick this week, I missed both classes. I'm not completely better yet & am a little worried about asthma issues. Hopefully it'll all be good, but I'm bringing along the inhaler just in case.

Anyway, if I stay in, I'll do a last-chance workout. Any challenges out there? Nothing too scary though... I've never done one of these. :p

-Yello.

CountingDown 03-04-2008 07:31 PM

Shy - Congrats on your loss so far! OUR BIGGEST LOSER!!!! Your anniversary is a great date to set as a shopping spree time. I am trying to buy some things now (hitting the winter sales) that I know I will be able to wear when I hit goal. Things like sweaters, tees, things that come in S/M/L. I am surprised by how many of the sweaters I can wear now. Maybe reward yourself with one outfit for your anniversary - you have worked hard and deserve it!

Melissa - you will enjoy your ski trip - it is a sport that is fun even when you are first starting out. Great job on the workout! THAT is determination!

Tina - you are doing great with OA. We are so proud of you for taking the plunge and starting it. How inspiring you are for others :)

spidermonkey - welcome back! We missed you! You CAN do this! Come back soon and let us know how your day went :)

Deb - how wonderful that you were able to control that binge and do minimal damage. That is a VICTORY! Right back POP and the scale shouldn't be much of an issue.

Kari - I sooo agree with you about missing walking outside. My videos are good, and they are a Godsend - but I want to walk in the spring sunshine sooooo badly. Patience IS a virtue (sheesh - I seem to be saying that a lot these days )

Karen - OK, it wasn't a great thing to do - but you are human and it won't be the last time that a snack gets the best of you. But - YEAH for you! You will not let it bother you - back POP! GREAT ATTITIDE!

Hun - OH, Teens can drive us crazy - that is for sure. I don't watch TV, but I will work out tonight. DH is planning to join me :)

Yello - I hope you are feeling better soon! Good for you trying to exercise when you still aren't feeling 100%.

OK, I am caught up. Question for the group. I have a business meeting in Chicago next week. They are taking us on a dinner cruise the first night. Winter - Chicago - Lake Michigan - Ship - Dinner Cruise. What does one wear given those parameters? I'm in a quandry. Since my wardrobe is soooo small right now, I don't have anything dressy. So I'm thinking I need to do some shopping. But, since I'm not a goal, I really don't want to buy something if I don't have to. To make matters worse, I haven't seen some of the people there since summer - and of course I want to knock their socks off with my stunning new self ;)

Any ideas?

Counting- Well living in Chicago my whole life and having to deal with the winters for 28 yrs now, I'm going to suggest something VERY WARM!!!! It is sooo cold here right now! I'm sure the cruise will be heated though, so nothing that your going to swelter in either. How about a nice pant suit with a jacket that can be taken off if you get too warm. If it's the cruise I'm thinking of though it is pretty fancy, so maybe a skirt with some sort of jacket. For real though dress warm....I hate being cold more then anything in the world. I really wonder sometimes why I live here. It is an awesome city though and you'll have a great time. Too bad it's not in the Spring or Summer!:) You've worked so hard though, so treat yourself to something nice:)

Melissa- I hate driving in the snow!!! My hands are killing me by the time I get to where I need to be, from holding the steering wheel so tight:) Have a great time at dinner tonight~

Yello- Take care...I hope your feeling 100% soon:)

Karen- Just pick yourself up and move on...that is the right attitude. I was doing a little Denise Austin show today and she said if you over indulged move on and make up for it with a nice healthy next meal. We all slip and getting up is what makes us stronger:) Your going to have a great day tomorrow~

Kari- I have to say this weather makes me lazy also. I just don't feel like doing anything, but sitting on the couch with my blanket and remote:)LOL! Spring is right around the corner though, so hang tight~

Deb- Good luck with your weigh-in...your sooo close to the 170's!

DK-You've had a rough couple of weeks...give yourself a little break. Today is a new day and you can make it whatever kind of day you want to:)

Thank you Tina!
Yes - it is COLD in Michigan. I LOVE Chicago - we try to visit at least once a year. Last year we went in May, and it was cool. "Spirit of Chicago" is the ship. When we have seen them take off in the summer, everyone is always dressed elegantly. I just can't envision what it will be like in March. I think I may break down and hit the sale racks in Grand Rapids on the way down. Living in a small town, we don't really have any clothing stores that carry the type of outfit I am thinking will work. I DO have a perfect dress (one of 3 things I kept from 10 years ago) but it is still too small :(
On the other hand - my "mother of the groom" dress from 3 years ago is a size 18 and way too big :D

Hiya Teammies!
Sorry I've not been around. Today I'm just feeling blah, the period from
I didn't workout this morning but this evening I was watching TBL and thought I could go down and ride the bike, I did for 30 min. Then did total body strength training with 3 & 5 # wts and my exercise ball for 20 min. I feel so much better now. :) I will catch up with everyone tomorrow. :grouphug:
