Deb - I hope you can find some "me" time soon. I hope you can get some rest this weekend.

Yello - I've bought so many exercise dvd's that were just okay. I wish I hadn't gotten some of them. I recently started with NetFlix and have actually found some so much that I bought them. I wish I had tried out some others before I bought them. I wonder if Blockbuster or Hastings or whatever in your area might have some to rent to try out also. I have never checked at our local library but I read of other people that swear by it. I hope you can find something to work for you.

To the Melissa's and any other Losties - what'd ya think about last night? I can't stop thinking about Lost and reading up on some of the blogs. I just love Desmond! It was different, but kept me on the edge of my seat. I looked at the clock and it was 5 til the hour and I was thinking it should only be 20 after or so. Maybe something's wrong with my time continuum! ;) Oh, and I believe one or both of you are Survivor fans too, right? Ozzy is a machine!! Am I right! :D

Sara - I, too, feel like I'm obsessed with all things health and weight related.

Danielle - I hope you get to feeling better soon.

I'm going to cut it short today. I am crampy and can barely keep my eyes open. I am craving sweets really bad! I haven't been like this in a while. I'm not sure how I'm going to proceed. To cheat or not to cheat? Hmmmm???

Hun.e.B 02-29-2008 02:22 PM

LOL...Karen maybe YOU are time flipping! Last nights episode was strange. I was totally confused for the first 20 minutes. Very very interesting and makes me wonder just how long they've really been on the island. So weird. I did miss seeing the other characters though. I want to know more about Kate's son!! Big survivor fan too!! I love Ozzy, I hate to root for him though because once I do they are gonna give him the boot, looks like next week they rearrange the teams, thankfully he's got the idol. I really dont get keeping Chet over Micky B. So dumb! Thats what gets me so frustrated about these vote off shows, they vote off the strong ones. Thats so unfair!

Morning Ladies! I hope everyone is having a great leap day!

Yello--I have borrowed workout videos from the library. It's a great way to preview before buying if your library system has a good supply of videos. You can also try netflix. I've heard they have lots of exercise dvds.

Mom23BC--Congrats on losing the water weight and on your workouts with the kids. It sounds like you're having a fun time.

Danielle--Sorry to hear you're not feeling well. I hope it will pass quickly and you'll be up to speed soon.

Muse--Congrats on the 14s! How exciting! You're doing great.

Rennie--How kind of you to help out your friend. I hope she has a smooth recovery.

Cecil--Good luck this weekend. Here are my tips: 1)Make good choices in the food you eat when you are out. (Salad with dressing on the side, lean meat, etc.) 2) Portion control. If you really want something yummy and high in calories, either just have a taste of someone else's or split the order with someone else (then you're not tempted to eat the whole thing). I can't help with the drinks since I don't drink. I always order water when I eat out.

Cassie & Melissa--Good luck on those papers!

Bella mia--I'm sorry your really feeling the weight struggle right now. It can be so hard.

Melissa73--Congrats on the great workouts and on the new bike on layaway! What a fun way to reward yourself for all your hard work.

Skinnyvibes--Great job on your eating!

Laura--You are truly amazing when it comes to exercise. Wow!

Tina--It sounds like the OA meetings have been so great. I'm glad you've found a great support with women in that group. Congrats on the NSV!

Counting--You give such great advice! And you're an inspiration. Thanks!

Karen & Terapet-- Hi! Thanks for thinking of me!

I don't get keeping Chet over Micky B just like I thought it was too early to get rid of Yau Man. You're not supposed to vote off the strong ones until after the merge. (meaning Yau Man was mentally strong rather than physically strong) I was not as impressed so far this time with Ozzy (being attached to Amanda's tonsils mostly) but after last night I remember why I love him!

And I could talk Lost forever even though I have no clue! :dizzy:

Idealmuse 02-29-2008 04:26 PM

Mom23BC-

Well I'm still mostly in 16's the 14s are snug lol... I'm just amused I can get them on. The one pair I was wearing yesterday had some give to it so I'm really still in 16s. I think the only reason I'm able to wear this small of a size at this high of a weight is totally because of the muscle weight I've put on especially in my legs. Muscle being so much denser. I think size 18 at your weight is just about perfect. Last time I got down this low (217 was my "previous" low) and wasn't working out much I was also an 18. So I think you're right on track.

I checked out the new gym today. OMG so hot in there and for some reason the treadmills were on an incline even at 0 grade. I only ran for 10 minutes and the rest of my workout today was just walking. My legs were also tired from cranking it on the exercise bike yesterday (did level 3 the whole 60mins) so I decided to take it easy today.

If the room with the treadmills is always this hot I'm going to have to learn to run outside more in the spring. I'm not complaining though the membership is totally worth it just for the pool.

Hope everyone else is having a better day!

Idealmuse 02-29-2008 04:36 PM

ksk571 - can you "cheat" on something not too bad? One of those Mcdonalds yoghurt cones I think is about 150 calories... or skinny cows etc? I have days like that too where I want to eat everything in site I try to keep the damage minimal and put in a bit extra workout time to counter-balance.

Idealmuse 02-29-2008 04:41 PM

PS everyone - Danskin is having a 29 percent off sale today for leap day if anyone is looking for workout wear I think they carry some plus sizes I know I've definately seen XXL but I'm not sure how high they go. I'm considering getting some bike shorts or bathing suit.

Thanks for the suggestions! I actually got called into a meeting after I wrote that and then I had to leave work to avoid overtime. By the time I made it home I was over it and don't have anything all that bad in the house. I had veggies and dip and it was really good. I need to head off to the grocery store and am going to do my best to not TOM shop! ;)

Congrats on on the 14's! :carrot: They'll be loose in no time!!

CountingDown 02-29-2008 10:17 PM

Quick fly-by to say hello! Looks like most of our chickies are feeling better. Let's stay strong through the weekend!

I was feeling a bit queasy today (lots of flu going around) so I only did some ski walking in our freshly-fallen snow instead of my usual 2 indoor workouts. I'm hoping the extra rest was worth it. So, I'm off to bed early tonight.

GO RED!

skinnyvibes 03-01-2008 10:34 AM

Good morning ladies! Well TOM has come a few days early. But so far it hasn't made a huge difference. It looks gorgeous outside today! I think we'll be going for a walk or something today. Definitely take little man outside to play. I didn't get my entire walk in yesterday. Everytime I tried to get on my tredmill someone showed up. :) Well time to make some coffee and get moving.

Catsgetnhealthy 03-01-2008 11:42 AM

Good Morning Red Team~
Man, yesterday was such a bust!! I got 2 miles in, but I ate like.... I don't know what. I just had the munchies. What threw me over was eating probably 4-6oz of jalapeno smoked almonds. Ugh and yummo at the same time. I counted them as 24 pts, my book says 4pts per 1oz, which I used my WPA's almost up. I got on track right after that :p and I'm back on it today. I did 1 mile jog, Leslie has a video, which has some leg work after the jogging, and then I did the 1 mile for Abs with the belt. I'll probably ride my bike this evening while watching t.v. I had a decent breakfast this morning and have been drinking my lemon water, almost through my first 32ozs.
I need to catch up on the posts, looks like about 5 pages! Have a wonderful weekend. We got hit with a lot of snow yesterday but today the sun is out and it looks awesome out. I think I might go shopping for some new workout clothes and grab a couple of pair of jeans. :D
Talk to ya'll later.

Catsgetnhealthy 03-01-2008 11:51 AM

I want to know more about Kate's son!!

Are you talking about Lost? Cause Kate's son was named Aaron which makes me wonder if it's Clair's baby she has. And I do find it confusing with the flash forwards now and all that.

Sugar-N-Spice 03-01-2008 11:51 AM

Good Morning Red! :sunny:

Thanks for all the get well wishes, I think they may have worked! :) I slept really well last night and woke up today about 7:30. I've worked out- eliptical for 30 and 20min. weights, started laundry and had breakfast. Yup, I'd say I'm definitely feeling better! :D

Muse, that is fabulous news about the 14's!!! I can't wait til I'm there, but I've got a long way to go! Glad to hear you found a great deal on a place to workout, will be great training for your race!

CountingDown, you are so positive and upbeat, I love it. I do hope you are feeling better today and not down with the sickies like the rest of us.

Skinnyvibes, nice weather in your neck of the woods too, huh? Sounds like you have a great day planned and I'm sure the little one will love being outdoors! You're doing fantastic, I love reading about what you're up to.

Karen, how'd that shopping go? No TOM food, right? ;) I hate when I get like that too. Now that I think of it, I better start bracing myself, next Saturday is d-day for me. lol

Jen, how are you? Are you busy with the kiddies and school stuff? Hope things are good in your world today!

Yello, hi! No, I've never taken videos out at the library. Of course here it seems like all the stuff they have is old old old... like big hair, leotard, head-band old! LOL I hope you find something you really like!

Deb, so good to see you! Hey, no loss is better than a gain in my book! Sorry work is so stressful but I do hope we see you again very soon!!

Mom23BC, it sounds like you have had a lot of fun with those walks! Your kids must really enjoy getting to spend all that time with them, they will certainly remember good times when they are grown. Thrilled to hear you are on course to meet your goal. Even if you don't make it, look at all you have accomplished. Go you!!!

Well alright, guess it's time to get busy around here. I hope you ladies have a fantastic Saturday and keep up the great work we have going on!!! I'm so proud of you guys! :D

Hun.e.B 03-01-2008 02:06 PM

Cathy...thats what I'm thinking too, but why would she have Claire's baby? What happened to Claire? And why doesnt Jack want to go see him?

Danielle...I am SOOOO happy that you are feeling better!! Grays skies are gonna clear up! LOL!

Okay so WW today, down .2, I'll take it!! I think sodium really did a number on me this week. I didnt expect a loss at all so to see the scale down, even a little bit is good news for me!

Last nights workout was tough. I just didnt feel it. It was so hard to run, I couldnt go 2 minutes. Everything hurt from my lower pack to my pinky toe. I did run 1 minute and walk 4 for 30 minutes, then I walked for 15 minutes holding 2 5 lbs weights (that is SO HARD) and then I walked another 15 minutes. So all in all not too bad. I got in an hour and thats what matters!

Hope everyone is having a fantastic weekend!

ksk571 03-01-2008 02:26 PM

Well, if it is Claire's son....which I believe to be true....then he is also Jack's half-nephew. I wonder if something happens to Claire, Jack finds out later Claire was his half sister and is feeling too much guilt to see him. I don't know why Claire would stay on the island without Aaron. I really want to know how it will all play out.

I did a small amount of TOM shopping. It was a waiting in line impulse. It's over and I'm moving on. Doing better today with all of that. I'm going to dinner with my sister and nephew this evening and am planning on staying on track.

Andi18 03-01-2008 08:35 PM

Good evening ladies. So sorry I have been a bad chatter this week in here. I haven't had any time at work to stop by and I have had killer headaches in the evenings when I get home from work which usually means TOM is near so I have been heading to bed early this past week.

I did make it to the gym this morning for an hour. Did some cardio and weight training. It was so nice here today that my partner in MPMU & I decided to get together with our kiddos (and her dog) and go for a walk around a lake (okay, so they call reservoirs lakes) here today which took us an hour to walk. It was very refreshing to be outside in the sun walking instead of on the treadmill. So I got a total of 2 hours in today! http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/36/36_1_34.gif

Unfortunately I don't think there is any way that I will be able to post personals going back from when I last posted http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/23/23_29_104.gif I will try to be better from here on out. http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/4/4_18_7.gif

I hope everyone that has been sick lately is feeling better. The flu bug is finally out of our house and I hope it doesn't jump through the internet to any of you.

CountingDown 03-01-2008 09:48 PM

Just a quick pop-in to say hi to all my red teammates :)
Hope you are having a wonderful weekend!
For those of you who are still sick, I hope you are better soon! Take care of yourself and don't overdo.

I'm feeling better today, still not 100%, but I think I have averted any major illness by not overdoing yesterday. I did get in an aerobic dance workout this evening :D

Great NSV today. DIL left clothes here in MI when they moved to CA. She left a pile to dispose of. I found them while cleaning DS's old room. Well, the sweaters and some of the pants fit me perfectly :D DIL is about 25 lbs lighter than I am, and about 3 inches shorter. I can't wait to wear them next time we visit!
I think all of this exercise is really paying off! :woohoo:

melissa73 03-01-2008 11:33 PM

Good evening buddies,

Just checking in before I go to bed. I just got home from picking DS and DBF's DS up from rollerskating. I love that I can just drop them off there and they can hang out and have safe fun for a few hours. DBF and i took the kids sledding today. It was a great workout. we went for like 2 1/2 hours. So I earned about 7 aps walking up that hill a million times. It felt great and I barely got winded either, and I would run up when I got close to the top. It's funny, 2 months ago I would been sitting my fat, lazy A$$ in the car eating a snack while the kids were sledding, but not anymore, I was right in on the fun and action. Another family showed up (two women, 1 man and 4 kids) The women just stood there and watched. DBF and I got both of our big butts onto one sled and went down together, it was the funnies thing EVER and I got full of snow, and I over heard the ladies say to eachother "Look's like we're the only smart ones." and I thought to myself, "Looks like you're the only BORING ones is more like it!" LOL

My WW meeting was cancelled this morning because of the snowstorm we had last night and this morning. I had to do my weigh in at home with my weigh in clothes. My scale is perfectly in sync with the WW scale. I lost 1.6 this week and that brings me to my 10% goal. I"m so excited. I didn't make both of my goals...very close to 25lbs though...so next week, I'll be able to go to the meeting and get both of my rewards. As long as this week goes well. So along with 2.5 hours of sledding and hiking up a huge hill, I shoveled for about 20 minutes this morning earning another ap and then did my abs as well for another ap. So I earned a total of 9 aps today. WOOHOO!!

I followed BDS and only ate breakfast and dinner. It really wasn't too bad. I did have to cheat a little and had 24 tiny pretzel sticks for 1 pt, but it wasn't because I was hungry because I could have totally went without them, but I was getting a migraine, going without eating for a long time is a HUGE trigger for migraines. I didn't feel like it was a cheat though because it was something so minor and I wasn't even hungry, and after that small snack and 2 excedrin migraine, it went away very quickly. I have to go through my check list tonight and maybe I'll try it again tomorrow, just so that I know that i did it, hopefully I won't get another migraine, if I do, I guess I'll know that step just isn't for me. It does say to contact your doctor before and since i'm so easily prone to migraines, he would probably recommend I not go that long without eating. Anyway, I felt really good about today, only once or twice I felt hungry and then it passed just like the book said it would!

I'm really tired and have no energy for personals. Just wanted to congratulate anybody who had a loss this week and those who didn't, you can do it and you'll have a good week next week! RED TEAM ROCKS!! I'll be back tomorrow!

Sugar-N-Spice 03-02-2008 11:20 AM

Good Morning Gang!

I am sorta bummed this morning :( Did my weigh-in.. I'm up 1 pound. :(:( I think being sick for 3 days really threw me off. *sigh* Oh well, what can I do, right?
.................................................. .................................................. ..................................................

Melissa73, lookit you chicky! All that exercise yesterday and you had so much fun too! I am way proud of you for making your 10%!!!! :yay: You have worked so hard for it and now you'll reap the rewards! Fantastic work my friend!!

CountingDown, OMG how good that must've felt to fit into all those great clothes! DIL will definitely be surprised and I'm sure very happy for you. Glad you're feeling better today! Go you!

Andi!!!!!!!!!!! I was just asking Mel if she'd heard from you lately! Your ears musta been burnin! LOL I'm sorry you're not feelin too hot lady, hoping the medicine helped? You got in alot of exercise yesterday, WTG! Love the picture from your walk yesterday BTW! You are lookin pretty small girly!!!!

Mel, I am soooo proud of you for walking an hour even though you weren't feeling it. You got thru it, change things up a bit during it, and look at you, a whole hours worth! :dancer: Major congrat's on your loss, I TOLD YOU! :p You continue to amaze me every single day.

I got busy straight away this morning. Woke around 6:30, weighed--which went horrible--, had some coffee, threw in a load of wash, and then jumped on the eliptical again for another session and now I'm having breakky. Gonna really try and push thru the next few days and not let my head get in the way of my progress.... I know myself....that +1 is gonna really bother me......its gonna take some work mentally to "forget about it" and move on. But, I will do it!! :)

Alrighty gang, going to finish eating and then get busy around here finishing housework. Have a fantastic day everyone!!!

cakses 03-02-2008 01:08 PM

Good morning Red Team. I have been lost for the last few weeks, but I am trying to get back into it. Work is going great but it's leaving me exhsusted, so this week I am vowing to exercise every day whether it is at the gym after work, the pool if I have time before getting the kids, or at home. No more excuses. I am feelingyucky without working out!

I am up a pound this week and it's also TOM but I have nipped the eating in the bud and am back on track. I also joined WW and am going to try to make a meeting this week if work allows.

So I am back ans WAYYY too far behind to go back and read and do personals but I hope everyone is doing better than I have been doing!

Yellofly 03-02-2008 01:51 PM

Hi all!

Karen & Jen, thanks for the info. Glad other folks can help out when it comes to workout tapes. And Danielle, that's what I was worried about (really old videos from the libraries). I'll check it out when I get a second, things are really hectic, as always. TOM isn't helping. lol.

Have a great weekend, everyone! :D

-Yello.

ksk571 03-02-2008 02:00 PM

Good Morning RED Team!

I have not had a great weekend eating-wise. With TOM I let a few unplanned snacks/meals in. I went out to eat with my sister and nephew yesterday. Pizza is my nephew's favorite meal! It's not exactly on my plan, but I managed to eat only 2 sliced and 3 breadsticks. Prior to this time in my life I would have had about 4 or 5 slices so this is a good minor victory. I did have non-diet pop, but it wasn't that great.

Yesterday I got my Get Ripped with Jari Love dvd. I did it last night. My muscles are really tender today, and I can tell I'm going to be really sore tomorrow! It was a really good workout and I really liked Jari. She wasn't annoying like so many fitness gurus are!

Today it's 65 degrees here. It's so nice (except that it's supposed to snow tonight) :dizzy: I took my dogs to the wilderness park for a walk. We walked for an hour even though it wasn't very high intensity (the girls like to stop and sniff a lot). At one point in the walk I saw 3 deer that were walking on one of the higher trails. They stopped and looked around for a while. I'm not entire convinced they didn't think my big dog was a deer. She kinda he same color. (Once I was walking in the same park and my dog wasn't on a leash. She went running up to a lady who told me that she thought my dog was a deer.)

I also had a very fit and tan biker pass us at the park today(with no shirt on). YUM-EEE  I'm really hoping I didn't say that out loud but boy was I thinking it! ;)

Hope everyone enjoys the rest of the weekend. Take Care!

Hun.e.B 03-02-2008 08:45 PM

Good Sunday Evening Red team! Just dropping in quickly to explain why I'll be MIA for most of this week. Its the week from **** for me! I've got a jam packed schedule with various activities all week long, plus my dd turns 13 on Tuesday and i've not done any shopping or any preparation for her ski trip the same day. If I make it through this week alive I'll be amazed LOL!!

So anyway, I wont be around much but I wanted you all to know I was thinking of you and wishing you stay OP vibes!! Make good healthy choices!!

Dont forget weight ins are due tomorrow by 11:59 pm EST!!

CountingDown 03-02-2008 09:10 PM

Looks like everyone had a busy weekend! Hope our sickies are on the mend. Seems like TOM is visiting quite a few of you too! (ONE thing I DON'T miss being 50+ :LOL)

I'm down 1.6 this week, which is a good loss for me. At this point in the journey - anything over a lb. is a HUGE victory :) I'm celebrating the 65 lb. mark which is 30% of the "old" me. :woohoo:

For everyone struggling with slow losses, hang in there. While I have been frustrated by that darn scale many times over the last 8 months, and have averaged only 1.87 lbs. per week - turtles really CAN succeed.

So, that brings me to my final thought for the day -
http://www.forumup.com/images/smiles...r_thankyou.gif
Without the support of 3FC and my teammates, this journey would be a LOT harder than it is.

It really is about the journey as much as it is about the destination. And I LOVE traveling with all of you :)

Cassie501107 03-02-2008 09:57 PM

Hey hey!

Well, I was well on my way to a LOSS for the week, right up until TOM showed up. Blah! Now my weight is hovering at the same ol' 210.

However, I'm not flippin' over it. I know that I'll go down next week when TOM is gone...just gotta keep on keepin' on.:)

 Why yes my ears were ringing ;) I am definitely feeling the pain today from all of the exercise yesterday. I talked to Misty this morning and she was not sore at all...go figure cause yesterday she was the one out of breath and I wanted to keep going! haha. I think I'll blame it on her dog and my new shoes ;) I am feeling lots better, I think the "not feeling so great" was due to the fact that TOM is to show his ugly face in a couple of days. Thank you Danielle for the nice comment! I noticed that too when I saw the picture! I can definitely see a change! Last night I was wearing shorts and a t-shirt around the house and my husband commented on how much skinnier I am starting to look and that he can really tell when I wear shorts! :cb: DS made a comment when we were at The Outback on Saturday that my face was starting to look skinnier. I just wanted to hug my son so much, he is one of the main reasons (besides my mom being diagnosed with diabetes) that I have been so gung-ho about losing as he is now at that age (8) where he is realizing that his friends' moms are skinnier than his mom and was making comments about it  Thankfully he hasn't made any of those comments since he has started noticing a change a few months ago. Sad thing is he knows not to say comments like he made to me, but I think since I am mom he thought the rules didn't apply? :dunno:

I really need to check up on MPMU as well. As I said, I've been neglecting the Internet in the evenings lately.

Don't let the 1 pound gain beat you up...it could be water weight right?! ;) You can move on and lose that pound! Read my blog on MPMU about the last weigh in ;) Misty gained a pound and I gained 2 pounds during week 7 and we both lost 2 pounds for week 8. You can do it! I know you can!!

I also had a very fit and tan biker pass us at the park today(with no shirt on). YUM-EEE  I'm really hoping I didn't say that out loud but boy was I thinking it! ;)

I think I did the same thing yesterday on my walk around a lake. The biker here probably wasn't as tan as your biker, but  non the less!

Just wanted to stop in and let everyone know I am home safe and sound. For those of you who aren't losing weight as quickly as you would like. Just remember, you have less to lose today than you did the day you started to change how you were eating. Keep with it. Sometimes it is slow going but each and everyone of us will become the thinner more healthy person we all want to be.

Well, I was well on my way to a LOSS for the week, right up until TOM showed up. Blah! Now my weight is hovering at the same ol' 210.

However, I'm not flippin' over it. I know that I'll go down next week when TOM is gone...just gotta keep on keepin' on.:)

 Love the attitude!! I think a lot of us are coming up to that point in the month again. We just all "gotta keep on keepin' on" ~Love it!!

Hi Everybody,

Just checking in. I am having a difficult time with my middle child and it is taking all my energy. He is in college but doing terrible. At one time he was an excellent student but that is all in the past now. It is very sad and I am very worried for him. He is not a party person so it is not that. He told me he has no self motivation at all. He misses classes and doesn't do any homework. He has been telling me he is doing better but today I found out he is not doing better at all. It is very sad and I am very worried for him. Anyway, it has been difficult to maintain self discipline around food lately.

CountingDown, you GO GIRL!!!:carrot: Are you planning a reward of some kind to celebrate?

Melissa, happy birthday to your little girl & good luck with the rest of the week!

Terapet, I'm sorry your son is stumbling a bit, but it sounds like the two of you have a very open relationship, and I'll bet you can really help him through this. All kids go through odd patches in life, just keep focusing on the long-term. He'll be okay.

Just wanted to pop in and give some  To the red team! Looks like some of you are struggling with TOM and other things. hang in there. We all know that time of the months messes us all up, lol! I am sure this week is going to be much better! :)

Mel, Happy Birthday to your daughter. I hope you get accomplished all you set out for this week. LOL! Do you ever sit down and just chill? LOL! ;)

TERAPET- Is your son at a local college close to home, or is he out of town or state? Maybe he's homesick. Maybe he's overwhelmed by all the responsibilites of college life? perhaps he could drop a class or 2 and lighten his load? I hope he feels better about things soon.

I'm down only .6 this week. I had a few bad days last week along with hurting my foot running on the TM. I've sent 3 days resting and wrapping the foot, and yesterday was the first day I could walk on it without any pain, so today I am just gonna do a fast walk on the TM for 30 minutes to an hour and hold off on running a couple more days. O'well.

Good morning everyone. Sorry to mention this to all the people up North in “COLD” country, but I had a great day at the beach yesterday. All three of my kids were playing in the water. It is still a little cold for my taste though. But I am so happy that summer is getting closer. I may start taking my jogger to the beach to go walking with the kids. I think they would like that better. I will try it once to see how hard the stroller is to push. Now that would be great exercise.

So my goal this month is to loose the 1 ½ pounds that I didn’t get off last month plus 5 pounds. (Secretly, I would love to loose 10 pounds).

I hope everyone is having a great day.

I don't have time for personals, but I did go and read everything. Thanks to everyone for the support.

Mom23BC 03-03-2008 08:22 AM

Oh, I didn't loose anything other than the water weight I put on at the beginning of the week, so I am back to my 191.5 (so loss = 0). However, my clothes are fitting looser than last week, so I should be seeing a loss on the scale soon.

Terapet - I am a secretary at a college counseling center. Depression, anxiety and adjustment problems are our most common issues. Most college campuses have counseling centers now. Sometimes talking to someone helps tremendously. Also if it is depression, medication (even short term if it is more about adjustment issues) can really help. We have quite a few with anxiety issues and our counselors can help with relaxation techniques, etc.

It seems that males sometimes have a harder time seeking help. It may help if he knows that these kinds of issues are common in the college population. Whether he decides to go to his counseling center or not, I hope he gets to feeling better.

Bummer - another gain. :( It's less than 1 pound over a 2 week period but still frustrating. Luckily, I have a GREAT RED TEAM who has already encouraged me through their words to others on our team. You all really are the greatest! It was TOM for me, and I did have several unplanned snacks/meals. I'm ready to end that and start getting my water in. I think next week will be my week to make up some ground!
