Good morning ladies! Well had WI this morning and I am not down any from yesterday. But that's ok, cause I am down!! I am down 2.8 since our first WI. :) YAY!!
Diva~ love the dress! You will be so beautiful!
Well just wanted to check in, skinnyvibes to you ladies today!!

Diva 01-19-2008 12:16 PM

Thanks for the skinny vibes skinny, hehe!

Mel, I'm sorry they didn't tell you to go 30 minutes early at your first meeting. It totally slipped my mind too to tell you that. :( Good luck girly! I hope this works for you and I think it's a fantastic idea to start dress shopping. I think that first dress I chose is so pretty and I really think I will be able to wear it to other fancy occasions too, what do y'all think? I love it!

Hey mom23bc! Jump in whenever and where ever you can! I LOVE when new peeps post! The more the merrier I say! :)

 Danielle! I've looked so forward to getting to know you since Mel has spoke so highly of you for months now! Thank you for the good wishes for the tummy. I think after 4 trips to the bathroom in 30 minutes this am, I have it all cleared up! Can you say I have learned my lesson? :nono: The King is the Debbil! lol!

jlbake 01-19-2008 12:22 PM

Morning ladies! Welcome Deb & Mom23bc!

I had WI this morning and I've lost 2.4 pounds this week. (3.4 pounds from starting weight.) We're celebrating my mom's birthday this weekend. My two oldest girls, my sister and her daughter, my mom and I are all going out for a movie and lunch. It should be a lot of fun (as long as I don't cough all over them). I'm feeling a lot better, but I still sound like a frog. I hope by Monday, I'll be back to normal.

Roni-- Congrats on the wedding! I like the first dress best. I think it's slightly more casual which fits with your wedding better. But both dresses are very pretty.

Melissa-- Don't worry about the scale. I know you've been good with your points this week. It's probably just water retention. I hope you enjoy the WW meeting and !

Floann-- Great job this week!

Rennie-- Hee hee! Braces are over-rated. Build yourself a good computer! I hated it when my computer crashed and was limping along with a band-aid computer. Very frustrating!

Mom23bc-- I homeschool my kids too!

Kari-- Way to go on the WI! You're doing great!

Laura, Andi, and Danielle--   Hi!

I hope everyone has a great weekend!

Tina30 01-19-2008 12:31 PM

Good morning ladies~ Well I made the gym yesterday for a good 60 min. treadmill workout, but my eating was bad yesterday. I think my period is coming and that is I was wanting sweet then salty all day yesterday. I hope it didn't do too much damage, but I have till next Friday's weigh-in to get it off, so I should be good. Today is going to be OP and so is tomorrow. It is soooo cold here today...I think the high is going to be 6 degrees, but with the wind like a -10, BRRRRR! Today is my day off from the gym, and my legs need it. I'll be going tomorrow sometime though. My game plan for today is clean my closet out...that should burn some major calories!LOL! For real it's a mess, ever since before Christmas stuff has just been getting shoved into it. It's time! Other then that though I just plan on relaxing and spending time with the family. I slept in till 10 this morning, AHHH that felt good:) I hope your all have a great weekend so far....

Danielle- Good morning! Have a great weekend~

Laura- I have to agree with the gals, don't beat yourself up about this, it won't help. I know it's disappointing, but just move on and make better choices from this point on. We all slip girl, it's just about getting back up and dusting yourself off...you have to move on and leave it in the past. Don't get yourself all upset. You are going away to visit a friend, so enjoy your visit and have fun!

Andi- Have a great weekend:)

Cassie- How cool to meet some people from the BL...Have a good time~

Floann- Great job on a OP week...keep it up~

Roni- I LOVE LOVE LOVE that dress!!!! It is so pretty...it looks comfy also, and believe me you want to be comfy:) I love the sandles also, they look comfy to. I bet you'll have beautiful pictures with your background...how cool to get married looking at the mountains:) Do you all have a date? That is something to look forward to! Oh yeah and about BK we all need a whopper every now and again;)

OptimistK- Egg salad sounds really good...I think I may make myself one for lunch today:)

Melissa- Good luck at your first meeting! I can't believe you were all ready and now you have to sit and wait...that is annoying! Let us know how it was~

Muse- I have to have my husband help me with my pictures...today though!

Yello- Congrats on the blouse...that is exciting! Blueberries for 99 cents though that is really good!

Renni- Hi...have a great weekend~

Deb- Welcome, come chat with us whenever you can:) My husband and I just bought a print and went to Michaels to have it framed, it was going to be like $200, we only paid $12 for the print:) We're going to save up though and have them do it, I looked everywhere and that seems like a pretty normal price!

M23BC- Welcome...like Deb, come chat whenever you can. Just jump right in:)

Kari- Congrats on being down 2.8 lbs that is great!

Melissa 73, Meech, and Karen- Have a wonderful weekend~

Tina30 01-19-2008 12:33 PM

Jen- We must of posted at the same time...congrats on the loss! That is great. Happy Birthday to your mom...lunch and a movie sound like a good time, especially with all the girls:) Have a good day~

jlbake 01-19-2008 12:42 PM

Tina-- Hi! After you finish cleaning your closet, will you come over and help me do mine? I was all geared up to do mine and then I got sick and being sick for a week has made my house fall apart! After our birthday celebration, I'll be cleaning! You've been doing so great on getting to the gym especially with it being cold! Kudos to you! I hate cold.

Scenestealer 01-19-2008 01:40 PM

Roni, I love dress #1. REALLY stunning. Where is it from? Do they make it in other colors so I can snag one even if I'm not getting married? :)

Everyone, thank you so much for all the support! I am feeling a thousand times better today. I ran 10 miles this morning at an awesome pace, so if I apply that to yesterday, it almost makes up for what I ate. Now, I just need to stay on-plan today, and then really watch what I eat in Boston this weekend. Probably doable! Now I'm just debating whether I want to weigh in tomorrow morning before I leave, or keep my Monday weigh in and toss my scale in my suitcase! Haha.

Idealmuse 01-19-2008 01:41 PM

Tina - You took a good day to take off from the gym. Not sure what part of IL you're in but my weather says 1 right now! Luckily I'm still out of play as far as getting back on the treadmill for a few days so i don't have to go out in the bitter weather.

My weight was down again today which was odd since I haven't been able to exercise the last few days because of my leg. Maybe my body needed a rest? Or maybe my treadmill running is just catching upto me now, whatever I'll definately take it. :)

Tina30 01-19-2008 01:58 PM

Muse- I didn't realize you lived in Chicago...I live south of Chicago in a town called Bourbonnais...it's near Kankakee...do you know where that is? Yeah it's pretty cold here...cleaning my closet is keeping me nice and warm though:)LOL! I didn't realize the amount of crap I had stored in there...this is going to be a long project, especially when I'm stopping to look through old pics:)

Tina30 01-19-2008 01:59 PM

Glad to hear your feeling better Laura...that's the way to do it, just jump right back on track and don't look back:)

Andi18 01-19-2008 02:00 PM

Laura ~ Wow, 10 miles?! That is awesome!!! I have always hated running and used to get shin splints running 1 mile when I was in school.

Roni ~ LOVE the flowing dress & sandals. I got married outside as well and loved my beaded wedding flip-flops! Bad KING Bad! Hope the tummy is feeling better today!

Deb ~ Welcome! You have done awesome so far! Congrats!

Jen ~ Hope the movie is awesome...which one are you going to go see? I haven't been to the movies for a few months...you are making me want to go now!! haha BTW~Congrats on your weight loss this week!

Tina ~ BRRRRR It is cold here as well. When I went to the gym this morning it was -2 with a windchill of -9. Just glad I'm not in MN right now with -35 below windchills... (sorry Cecilia...hope you are staying warm!)

Kari ~ awesome job on the weight loss this week!

Muse ~ congrats to you as well on your weight loss!!

Danielle ~ It's just so easy to update pictures/weight/measurements on one site! And the million pound website HAS to be updated weekly to qualify for the chance at the trainer/yr.

As for my update... I have now worked out 3 days in a row! I got my hiney to the gym this morning for an hour. Also worked out yesterday for an hour and the day before for 30 minutes. I am loving my 30 day visitor pass at 24 Hour Fitness! haha I have been staying OP and am still down the 2 pounds from the initial weigh in. I'm hoping that will change by Monday ;) I am planning on going to the gym tomorrow and Monday as well since I have Monday off! woo-hoo!

Hope everyone has a great weekend!

-Yello.

I don't know how I missed this! Yello, that is fantastic news!!! It IS a big deal and we're so proud of you! Go Yello!

Andi- It is alot easier to do it all on that page, isn't it? Can you even imagine winning a trainer for a year? I think someone would have to scrape me off the floor from shock. LOL GO YOU for exercising again!!! That free pass is already paying off in huge ways, you have lots to be proud of! KUTGW!!

Tina, good luck with that closet girly! I was just talking this morning about how badly I need to clean out mine. lol I think I'm afraid something might eat me in there, that's why I keep putting it off. :p Great work on hitting the gym again, you're doing wonderfully! Black team member sneaking in. . .

Muse - I wanted to also say that you are looking awesome. Nice smile! :)

Idealmuse 01-19-2008 03:31 PM

Thanks Nancy - Although these guys haven't seen my before picture. I guess I should suck it up and post one for them. :)

CountingDown 01-19-2008 07:12 PM

Just a quick fly-by to say hello :)

Doing well - but it is very cold outside (below 0 Degrees F). I'm glad I have plenty of indoor exercise options :)

Sounds like almost everyone is having a great day!

Melissa - that scale will be back down soon! Mine goes up and down like a ping-pong ball! It can drive you crazy if you let it!

Shy - I hope your computer is back to 100% soon! I know what you mean about giving to the kids first. It is how many of us ended up with more lbs. than we want. We spend so much time taking care of everyone EXCEPT ourselves!

Muse - hope the leg is better soon!

Laura - I would keel over after a half a mile! I could WALK 10 miles (and have), but run - WOW! That is awesome!!!

Tina - I finished cleaning my closet today too (I started last weekend). It is mostly full of empty hangers right now. And I am having a really hard time not hitting all of the January sales. I usually buy a lot of clothes this time of year. I never realized what a clothes horse I am until I decided to wait until goal to buy anything else new.

Roni - dress number one is definitely the one! It is beautiful and I'm sure you will be gorgeous in it!

Jen - glad you are getting better!

To everyone else - have a great rest of the weekend!

Sugar-N-Spice 01-19-2008 08:10 PM

Counting- Bbbrrrrrrr, I dunno how you guys living in cold weather do it! :brr: I am originally a So. California girl so anything below 40 and I'm dying. LOL Your weight loss is impressive. How does it feel to be getting so close to your goal? You must feel very liberated in knowing how far you have succeeded! Your closet better watch out, it won't know what hit it very soon! :D

Well I've been having a sort've "80's flashback" in my house today. Listening to all the music I loved when I was a teenager. Can't beat the 80's for a great afternoon of housecleaning and laundry. Of course my kids think I have fallen & hit my head, turning up their noses at me for liking this music. "Mom, are you serious. You really listened to this when you were our age? EWWWWWW". Kids!

Question: What is your comfort food and have you found a way to make it healthy?

my comfort foods are quesadillas and pizza and you can make them very low points with low carb whole wheat tortillas for 1pt and FF or LF cheese.

CountingDown 01-19-2008 09:25 PM

danielle - honestly - it feels really great! I catch my reflection sometimes and I double-take - is that really me? I have been over on the maintenance forum reading their pearls of wisdom in hopes that I will be prepared when I finally get there.
That being said, I may adjust my goal when I get there. I'm suspecting that it is actually somewhere between 130 and 140. But, now that I am over 50 and have hit menopause, I'm not sure that my previous "normal" weight of 130 is viable anymore. My body has definitely changed since my 30s (the last time I was at a goal weight). In any case - I'm hoping to hit my final goal by summer :)

I am fortunate - the music of my youth is classic rock-n-roll (60s and 70s). My kids always preferred MY music to the popular songs of their era (90s and 00s). We visited our oldest DS and his wife a couple weeks ago. The music they played was still the music of my youth :)

Tina30 01-19-2008 09:55 PM

Well after about 4 hours of cleaning my closet it's done, and I have to say it looks nice! I got rid of a bunch of clothes that are too big, or that I just don't wear anymore. I was surprised at how many things still had tags on them...I guess my husbands right when he says I don't need anything else. I can't pass up a shirt for $3.00 though;) It feels good to have it done though. Kev made homemade pizza tonight for dinner...YUM-OHHH it was good. I had a slim fast shake for breakfest and some almonds for snack and skipped lunch all together....I didn't mean to I just got busy with the closet, so I'm hoping dinner wasn't too bad! Tonight we're just going to watch some movies and chill...I'm beat!

Counting- We have lost about the same amount of weight and have about the same left to loose...I thought that was pretty neat!

Danielle- There is nothing like some good 80's music to get you in the mood! I love some old Madonna;)

Well I'm off to watch some movies...have a great night ladies~

Just popping in to check up, I am very sleepy! But NO more Burger King... ever! I promise. :) I wasn't feeling too good today so I couldn't exercise and I kept my calories below 1200 and surprisingly, I feel full and not at all hungry, go figure. MUST be the Double Fiber Wheat bread. ;)

BTW, laura! 10 miles is toally awesome!

Cassie501107 01-19-2008 11:47 PM

Hey team!

Well, I didn't make it up to the Biggest Loser thing today, but there is still tomorrow...I just don't know if I'll make it, but no biggie. Now if Bob & Jillian were there, I'd be present, no question, LOL!

I went grocery shopping today, and I found these 100 calorie Little Debbie brownies...they are SO TASTY, but I won't be buying them again because they are SO TINY and leave me wanting more, more, MORE! Ha!

In other news, had a good day today. Worked out for 50 minutes, ate pretty well, and am hoping for a good weigh in on Monday. :)

Scenestealer 01-20-2008 05:30 AM

I'm heading off to Boston in a few mins, so I weighed in today (day early). My weight has been in the 126s all week, and then today it jumped up to 130!!! There is no way I gained 4 pounds in a day, so I'm chalking today's up to water weight, and using yesterday's weight as my official one for the weigh in. (This is exactly why I weigh daily but only record weekly). I really hope this is not cheating as per the challenge? If it is, someone please let me know and I will change it, but gaining four pounds in a day just doesn't make sense.

I'll try to check in over the next few days, but can't guarantee how frequent that will be. I WILL make some good choices though, I swear! Talk to you ladies soon :)

Mom23BC 01-20-2008 09:51 AM

Thanks for the welcome guys. Well, I did my weigh yesterday, and had an awesome number. I was down a total of 5.5 pounds. Got on the scale today and down another pound. I just stopped nursing, so my body has finally decided to give up some of this fat. Thank goodness. Have a great day!

Mom23BC 01-20-2008 09:58 AM

Jlbake (Jen): How old are your kids! Congrats on the weight loss.

LadyZaidi 01-20-2008 10:44 AM

Good Morning Everyone! Even tho I'm not a frequent poster, I wanted to check in and let you know I'm still on plan and sticking to my mission. I enjoy reading as many of the posts as I can. My family is in MN, and I don't have really close friends in NY, so all of you here are VERY important to me. I want to say THANKS to all of you for helping me feel less isolated and more a part of a great group of people! Have a great day! ~Nicole

I'd say probably water weight or did you have a lot of sodium yesterday? I find the day following I eat salted nuts or chips or anything with high sodium I always put on a couple of pounds.

Have a great time in Boston!

Come and post as often as you can Nicole! I am in the same boat as you...all of my family and close friends are in MN as well. Hope to see you post more often!! :grouphug:

Hun.e.B 01-20-2008 11:06 AM

Good Sunday Morning Red team!! I just scrolled through posts and I'm seeing some HUGE losses...way to go Red team!!! I saw a 5.5!!! Thats amazing! and so many that are sticking to plan like champions!! EXCELLENT!! You guys are just amazing and inspire me every single day!

Laura, that is not cheating, you are just fine!

I have been spoiling myself lately! Which is something I never do! But, I bought myself a new vacuum...while this may not seem like a spoil, normally I'd buy something cheap to get the job done, but I splurged and got a really nice one and OMG!! Why why why did I not do that sooner! I cannot believe the stuff it sucks out of my floor! I really need to get myself out of that cheaper is better mentality!

I had a big slipup last night. DH was out with his work crew because one of them is leaving for India today for 5 weeks so they were giving him a send off. Well they actually called me to join them. Now I NEVER go out so I got myself all cute(well as cute as I can be LOL) and went and joined them. Had a great time but my points went out the window. I dunno how people can do that on a regular basis and maintain control! Perhaps when you do it more often its easier. Needless to say a little bit of a buzz leads to mindless eating! I dont even wanna know how many points salt and vinegar chips are!

Back where I'm supposed to be today. I found the 1 point bagels I'm most excited for this morning. And I'm getting one of the girls to go to the gym with me today so I can start C25K and get it documented for our million pound site.

Sorry to ramble on! Have a wonderful Sunday everyone!!

Hun.e.B 01-20-2008 11:09 AM

:drill::coach:Dont forget to post your Week 1 weigh in!! Deadline is Monday 11:59PM EST! :coach::drill:

Hun.e.B 01-20-2008 11:26 AM

Hey guys, when you are posting your weights in the weigh in thread make sure you are only editing your initial post. Don't start another post, everyone on the team should only have ONE post that they update each week! Otherwise it makes it really confusing to find out who hasn't weighed in on time, and having to hunt for multiple posts. Thanks!!

Good morning ladies,

It's a stay inside and keep warm kind of day. It snowed and the wind blew all night. Currently it's a brisk -4 degrees!! BBRRRR! I'm going to finish cleaning out my craft room and then get my exercise room all in working order so I can use the bowflex.

Thanks everybody for the warm welcomes

Scenestealer- The Firm tapes I do go with the Transfirmer (stackable plastic steps), so it does take up some room. I tried to do it in the living room and had to move a bunch of furniture, so I don't think you could do it in your little room.

Roni- I love the first dress and it would look so cute with those flip flops. Congrats!!

Danielle- Yes, I have lost all the weight with LAWL, I really like the program.

M23BC- WOW on the 5.5 lbs. That is AWESOME!!

Hi everybody else, have a great day. Off to get the blood flowing to stay warm.

Good morning ladies~ Well after staying up until 2:30 in the morning and sleeping in till almost 11 I feel pretty good!LOL! I just was so relaxed last night, and the house was so quiet I didn't want to give up my "quiet time" weird though because I'm usually the 1st one to bed:) Well I have to come clean, I had planned to stay OP yesterday also, and it didn't go so well. I cleaned my dang closet for 4 hours, and then once I started eating I couldn't stop. My period has to be coming, this is how I get before it. I just got off the pill though a few weeks ago, so I'm not 100% sure when my period is going to come, but I have a feeling it's on it's way. Today I was going to go to the gym, but I'm just going to do my cardio bootcamp video at home. I don't feel like showering and getting the car warmed up...I'm lazy today;) I will do my bootcamp video in a few min. though. Not much going on today, just have to go pick up a few groceries for the week. I'm looking forward to no school tomorrow, that means I can sleep in one more day:) I don't know what's up with me lately and sleeping, but I'm lovin' it!LOL! Have a great day ladies~

Deb- Today is a good day to stay inside here also, I can't take this cold much longer! The bowflex is a neat machine:)

Roni- Glad your feeling better....evil, evil BK;)

Nicole- Welcome...come chat whenever you can.

Melissa- Ahhh salt and vinegar chips...YUMMMY! I love those darn things, remember I said chips are my weakness:)LOL! Glad you got out last night though, and had a good time. We all need that every now and then:) Enjoy that new vaccum, you'll have the cleanest carpet around!LOL!

Laura- Have a great time in Boston:)

Andi- Hi

Enjoy the rest of your weekend ladies~

Good Morning! It's so great to see all the successes everyone is having! I'm sooo glad I don't live in such cold places as some of you do. I don't think I'd ever get out of bed. Yesterday was just beautiful and warm here!

Andi-- We had a lot of fun celebrating my mom's birthday! I go to the movies about once a year so this was big for us. We went to see Enchanted. My mom, my sister, and I were cracking up the whole time. The girls really enjoyed it too. We went to Mimi's Cafe for lunch. I had soup and salad. I was pleased to find all of the nutritional info on the internet when I got home.

Laura-- Have fun in Boston! I'm sure the scale was just reflecting water weight!

Melissa-- I'm glad you went out and had fun! I'm sure you looked dang cute! Don't sweat the bad food choices. Just stay op today and tomorrow and it will all equal out.

Mom23BC-- Congrats on th 5.5 loss! That's amazing! My kids are dd-10.5, dd-8, ds-almost 7, and dd-almost 4. How old are your kids?

Hello to everyone else! I love reading your posts.

Tina-- We always seem to post at the same time! I'm glad your cleaning went well, but I totally understand the munchies that come at that time of month. I hope you have a great day today.
