Tina: I used to get pink eye often when I was younger. No fun. I hope it goes away soon. Be careful at the gym, pink eye is contagious.

Hi Ladies!

After a weight gain 2 weeks in a row, I was expecting yet another one (due to my food choices) but was pleasantly surprised to have lost 2 pounds! That 2 pound loss is enough to re-motivate me to get back on track. My work has been a little crazy and I haven't had a chance to log on much.

This morning my job is offering free health screenings. They check height/weight, BMI, blood pressure, cholesterol, triglycerides and glucose. Because of the cholesterol check, I cannot eat breakfast until after my screening. Why is it that I'm not overly hungry in the mornings except on the one day that I am not allowed to eat? I am anxious to see my cholesterol levels so that in about 6 months I can see my progress. I'm a little nervous about the results. I should know my results in a few hours so I'll let you know how bad it is! I decided to weigh again this morning to see what I weigh in these clothes to compare to my normal weigh-in scale. Amazingly enough, I was already down a pound from yesterday. I'm not going to count that as official yet since it can change, but it made me happy today.

Anytime there is a time change, it drives me crazy! I got up this morning and did my workout but my eyes were closed most of the time. I am wiped out! I love the daylight at the end of my day but I am so tired! <rant over>

I'm hoping to have a break at work today so I hope to be back to do personals in a little while.

I think I've posted this before, but those "commercials" always remind me of the Truman show where she has a new grater or something. Truman is figuring out something isn't right and looks at her like she's crazy. I think he even says something to her about "what are you talking about?" Everytime I see them do that on TBL, I crack up.

Good Morning, just a quick note before I run out to work. I forced myself to the gym last night and ran for 1.5 miles listening to my new Nike + track from the Crystal Method and OMG if you are a runner GET IT!!!! I was too tired to run the entire length (45 mins) but it was motivating! I am going to use it as an endurance builder.

I was a horrible person yesterday and got BK on the way home (what was I thinking honestly?) and somehow I still pulled out a 1 pound loss today. Just imagine what it would have been if I had remembered I had turkey chili in the fridge and skipped out on the nasty BK food. Oh well. Finally seeing the scale move in the right direction is helping me. I am back to the gym today after work. I may be more tired than I used to be when I was going to the gym, but I still do okay.

Oh, and congrats to all of our losers this week. Looks like we may have won the weigh in! Hoping to post a decent weight next week so I can really get back into this!

Mel, Matt is absolutely LOVING the wrestling! He started a week later than most of the guys but is right there on the same level as everyone else. I was shocked to see that it's ending already tho. Matt's bummed about that. His last 2 tournaments are tonight & Thurs. Now he's talking about joining the actual High school team, the track team, the football team, talking about Joining the Navy fresh out of high school to get money for college. I'm thinking space aliens came and took my real son and left me with Mr. ambition, lol! Not that it's a bad thing...well cept the Navy part. I don't want him to join the Navy or any military for that matter.

woohoo Cat!!! Way to get it done girly! Some good pumping music usually always gets me going. And you are NOT a bad person for getting BK! It happens to us all. Way to go on those workouts!!

Diva..oh I'm so glad he's loving involvement! Those team sports can really turn a boy around. The Navy is a very admirable profession, I know its scary and easy for me to say cuz I dont have boys but this country is what it is because of your boys that protect us and allow us to have choices.

Alright I guess I should go clean myself up and head to class...blech!

Good morning ladies~ Well the eye is not doing any better this morning...in fact it seems even more swollen! I went to the urgent care right by my house yesterday and he said that my sinus was 95% blocked and that is what is causing my eye to do this. It is just really weird to me though because I don't feel stuffy or anything. The only thing I can think of is that when I was sick a few weeks back it never cleared up. In any case I look like a person who just got knocked out...not cute I go to my family doctor today for a pap test, so I'm gonna see what she has to say about it. I am on a antibotic, nose spray, and eye drops...that should do it huh!LOL! It still is really uncomfortable though to be looking at the computer, so I'm not going to be able to do personals today. I'm so sorry...I hate this! It makes me feel so disconnected from you guys I have been reading a few posts at a time though and keeping up with you all. We had an awesome weight loss this week...I think we may have this one in the bag ladies Keep up the good work! Oh one good thing even with my eye swollen I worked out last night at home for 1 hour...I'm supposed to go to the gym today for cardio, but you couldn't drag me in there looking like this. It's bad enough I have to go to the doctors office. So cardio will be done at home today Have a great day girls, and I really hope by tomorrow I'm able to catch up with you all! (((HUGS))))

Aww Tina I'm so sorry! Completely understand about not wanting to be staring at a computer screen though. I hope it clears up fast. Way to go on that workout!! See now I would have totally used that as an excuse! There really are no good excuses are there. I hope you feel better soon! Have a great day!

Alright, I'm back from my health assessment and all I can say is

EEEKKK!

Okay, My Triglycerides, Glucose and Blood Pressure are all normal. I am overweight which I already knew. I got excited when they did my height because I thought I grew a half inch but then it dawned on me that they probably rounded up! That's what fasting does to me!

The bad new is my cholesterol. OUCH! My HDL, LDL and Total are all in the high risk category. I haven't had my cholesterol done for about 10 years. The health counselors had their canned responses on all of the topics. It's all stuff I know and have been doing for 3 or so months. I wish I had my numbers from six months ago because I feel that with all I'm doing, they were probably higher 6 mos ago. I'm going to have my physician repeat the cholesterol in about 6 more months to check for my progress.

Mom
I enjoyed the movies. I loved the books.

ksk
Nice to see the scale going in the direction you want it to.

Cakes
See, even with the bk you had a loss. Nice going. This journey isn't about doing without all the time. It is about eating right.

Tina
Hope you are feeling better soon.

Yeah I know. Jesse was in the Navy for 7 yr before I got ahold of him. He just got out right before we met. I guess if Matt is going to join anything, the Navy would be the one I could deal with the best. Jess can talk to him and tell him what to expect. sigh...

Have fun @ class girly! lol

Tina, EEEK! I hope ya feel better soon gf.

Great news about the Triglycerides, Glucose and Blood Pressure. Better watch all the stuff that is in jeopardy. I know you'll get it all under control soon. I had my semi anual last week (I think) maybe the week before, but ALL my stuff was normal and looking good. I am basically a very healthy fat girl. She even took me off the actos which was making me retain a lot of water and my doc felt like it was stalling my weightloss. So keep on eating right and exercising and you'll get there!
