My team just opened a box of Girl Scout cookies. 2 cookies is 150 calories. To that I say: **** NO! I am going out to a big team dinner tonight and am desperately trying to eat lightly during the day so I have extra calories tonight. To avoid the cookies, I made a rule that if I eat a cookie, I am not allowed to get an app, bread, a drink, OR dessert at dinner. (Not that I'm planning to have all four, but if I have a cookie, I get none). So far I've held out for an hour, but we'll see if I can make it through till 7:15 when we head out to dinner...

150 calories for 2 cookies? That's crazy! No wonder I gained so much weight! I used to eat half a box in a sitting.

Laura- Be strong girl...just think about enjoying a nice dinner tonight

Melissa73- You should be proud girl...your doing so good! Funny thing happened to me the other day. Kev told me my butt was looking nice, and for the first time EVER I was like ya know what it is isn't it! Whenever Kev would compliment me before I was always like shutup, ya right, your just saying that cause you want some action tonight...you get the hint!LOL! I never believed him, but I'm really starting to see how my strength training is starting to tone up my body! So I'm with ya lets be proud of what were doing and hold our heads high! We're AWESOME!LOL! Okay maybe that was a little to much

Karen- Hello...how's your day going?

hey everyone!
coming up from air in the middle of a super busy week, aren't they all. I really should be cleaning, and getting dinner started, but I've been neglecting posting here- sorry!
Yay to everyone on the great weigh-ins last week! WOOT! Everyone is doing awesome. I'm feeling really good to be back on track and remotivated to make this a long term/permanent thing. I've been playing around losing this weight for too many years. So dumb.

Tina- sorry to hear about your eye! hope it gets better soon. I'd love to hear more about your OA meetings too. Are they similar to WW with a leader?

Melissa73- all I can say is WOW! You are really doing it. Great job.

Laura- hold out! Those cookies aren't worth it! LOL

Cathy- great workout!

cakes- I downloaded that Nike+ workout and had a great run today. Thanks for the heads up.

kari- hope you're having a better day today!

Andi- hope you're feeling better!

Well, I had a good weigh-in last week, but haven't seen that number again this week, lol. I'm really trying to get back to it and hopefully below by next weigh-in though!
Have a great night

I'm doing really well today. Avoided the cookies (and only two hours of work left before I can get the heck out of the office and away from them) so far! My other victory today is that my team wanted to do a smoothie run. I volunteered to go buy them, so I got exercise AND managed to have enough willpower not to order anything for myself!

Now let's just hope I don't blow it all at dinner tonight...

Hello everyone
Darn yesterday was terrible couldn't even go screen to screen in less than 2 or 3 min. That is the reason I didn't post much on the site. Glad it is better today. Hope everyone is doing well and Tina hope your eye feels better soon.

Sorry Emily...I hit post and forgot to respond to you. OA meetings vary. Their usually a leader. My meeting group is very small, only 4 of us. For me though it is fantastic! I used to go on really bad binges, and then beat myself up for days all the while still binging because I was upset! I finally came to the point of being fed up with how I was feeling. It is just so comforting to sit in a meeting and not feel judged and be with people who are going through similar things. If you wanted you could check out their website. Since I started going to meetings though I haven't had one binge...it's been 17 days today It feels so good to be gaining control of my addiction! I'm far from cured, and I don't think I ever will be 100% free of food obsession, but these meetings are helping me deal in a way I never knew how to. Sorry if I just went into a short novel on ya I hope I answered your question, and if you want to know anything else I'll be here

Hey ladies! Well I have been gone all day long! Haven't gotten anything done here at home. Oh well....guess we all have days like that too. I really need to get some control. I am a stress eater and I am SO stressed out. Who knew teenagers would be this stressful! So needless to say my oldest DS got himself into some trouble and well sometime in the next month my ex husband is going to be coming down, and guess where he will staying..... you guessed it, here. Now that will be stressful. I guess I really need to just get more control over my eating.... Pray for me everyone! I have done good so far. I threw out the tempting chocolate cake and the yummy cream cheese frosting, so kudos to me for that. Doing good so far...just have to keep it up. lol

Kari
Do not let the ex being there be stressful. The whole time he is there just say to yourself lol THAT is why he is the ex lol. Kids, no matter how much we try they are their own people. They get into trouble and all we can really do it try to help them learn from their mistakes.

Tina
17 days WOW that is TERRIFIC. I am so proud of you. Those of us that have problems, rather it be eating or going into a room 50 times a day to make sure it is clean ( sounds crazy huh ) feel all alone. We don't think anyone could possibly understand. It is nice to find a group that understands. Who could possibly understand a person that cleans a room, checks the room and then had to go back into it every few min to make sure they didn't forget anything lol. How did I fix that problem? I put a post it note on the door frame of the room. That tells me. I DO NOT need to go back into that room. Sounds crazy but it works. Ok, I confess. It works most of the time lol.

Laura
I am very proud of you too. There is no way I would even want that temptation in the house. Don't think I am ready for that. I finally threw out the rest of the m&m's. I was catching myself get just a few each time I went past the table. No way, no how. I am not going to put this weight back on because of a few bunnies on some candy in a dish lol. I asked the kids what their favorite candy was. I don't want them to do without because I don't want stuff in the house. My son said Zero bars OH YUCK my daughter said sour gummy worms OH DOUBLE YUCK. I am safe from those candies lol.

I have to say while those around me, not including the hubby, don't give me a lot of vocal support. When we had a birthday party a couple of weeks ago. They covered the cake in grass ( aka coconut ) yuck they knew I wouldn't even touch the stuff lol.

I was going to get a bathing suit. I have thought about it, worked for it and been excited about it. Hubby looked at me and said why bother. You get one now, it is going to be to darn big in June. Have to love the man, those words really made me feel good.

Well so much for doing personals! Sheesh stupid computers! I thought mine had bit the dust for good but I opened it up and sprayed out the dust, seems to be working now. 7pm and just now getting started on homework because of it. Got stuck at the school for 3 1/2 hours waiting for parents to pick up their cookie dough, and still ended up having to bring 2 boxes home...now what am I supposed to do with it? LOL!

I need a good workout! Thats what I need a good stress releasing workout! And a secretary! LOL!

Sorry I'm not being a good teammate again! At least staying busy keeps me from eating mindlessly even if it does keep me out of the gym. I'll get back though I WILL DO IT!

Emily - which one? The Crystal Medthod one? That's the only one I have so far and I love it. I almost made it through the entire track yesterday then my ipod died (battery dead lol). I was like noooo wth?

Saw my trainer today who said I look smaller in the belly area so woo hoo for that. And, the gate guard (I live on a military base) said I looked beautiful and that was post-workout. Then some guy checked me out when I was picking the kids up from daycare. Uh oh, I feel my vanity coming back. LOL, actually I was more embarassed than flattered. But I guess it feels ok that someone else doesn't find me replusive haha.

Well I am on sick call tonight - my little one has a fever and I think he re-got his virus he had last week. I hope he fights it tonight and sweats it out. I feel so bad for him when he's sick, he just flops on the bed and is super quiet. Poor guy!

cakses - I'm getting more attention now too. Not tons but I really didn't get any before. Its kinda cool and embarrassing like you say. Not sure how to deal with it. What "type" of music is the Crystal Method?

Hun.e.B - did you say cookie dough?? MMmmm how dangerous!

Shy - It's great they have confidence that your clothes won't fit in a few months. I just ordered an online bathing suit scared it's not going to fit.

skinnyvibes - Use the stress energy for some activity maybe? I know how hard it is to hold down your habits/food with all that stress going on.

Tina30 - Your so brave for going to OA! I'm glad it's going well so far. I could do weight watchers and that type of thing but OA just scares me. I'm not sure why.

Diva - (Our adopted Red member!) Hope your doing well. Sorry I havent gotten that running info yet. Do you still want it?

Scenestealer - Plus if you get the smoothies you won't end up with the XL one like last time. LOL The step during biggest loser is a great idea. I've been doing the bike but the seat hurts too much or the rebounder but I can only take that for 45 mins because it hurts the feet. I'll try the step next week thanks for the idea.

jelynn - the scale likes to do that down on weigh in day and up the next day too. Drives me insane but I know that's just how it goes and roll with it.

Andi18 - hope the ickies are gone!

Catsgetnhealthy - wrestling boys sounds like a handful. Do the practice at home?

melissa73 - It's got to be thrilling to see a 1 in your weight. I was getting a 0 today (209) make me flippin' happy.

ksk571 - glad the scale finally budged for you. I hate those limbo weeks. Wow you got your results back FAST I didn't know you could get on the spot cholesterol checks. I went for the cholesterol stuff in the fall and I was basically in the normal zone (high end) once again but mine still has to come down a bit anyway. Sometimes it's not just the weight that causes the high #s.

Lets see as for me... my bike came today. Dropped it off to be assembled but it won't be ready until next week because I took it to a really good shop. I guess I'm not in a hurry since it's still pretty cold here. It looks GREAT though!! The guy said I got a really really great deal.

I did only 45mins of exercise today. I was on the rebounder for 45 minutes and I popped in my #s and it only burned 288 calories? OUCH. So I'm a little over for the day for my goal calories, but still under maintenance at least although I'm hungry I might have a grapefruit half before bed.

I've noticed the quality of what I've been eating while in calorie range has gone WAY downhill the last month or so. I'd hate for a nutritionalist to see what I ate today!! Like today I had left over sweet potato fries, a kashi bar, 2 small bagels, 2 pieces of pizza, a latte and 2 cookies. What the **** was I thinking? Especially with the way I exercise I need to fuel my body properly. Hello Veggies? I don't eat that bad every day but I need to get on track more it's not JUST about the total calories anymore. I can't live that skinnycow/100caloriepack way of thinking because that's how I coped all the other times I lost weight and eventually failed. No risk of that happening here and now, but I just want to get away from that. Treats are fine but you know one or two not half of my calories for the day.

Hmm... what else...Oh hey and I did 7 minute runs the other day 7run/2walk for a total of 45mins out of 60 running yesterday. Woot! That means I can run just over half a mile at a time now.

Hope everyone has a good Thursday!

You are right. If you tried things in the past and you now know why they didn't work. Don't do them again. I happen to love skinny cow ice cream sandwiches. I like to have one once a week lol. I don't bother with the 100 calorie packs. They just make me want more. Your bike will be up and running by the time you get warm weather. Glad you found out you got a good deal. As soon as they make one with a seat the size of my riding lawn mower, I will start riding a bike too lol.

cakses
Vanity isn't all bad lol. You enjoy those compliments.

I'm going to bed hungry tonight which is always a good thing for me. I resisted some really yummy looking chocolate cupcakes at school council tonight. I probably could have fit it in calorie-wise. But for sure didn't need it and am pretty happy with myself.

cakes- yes the Crystal method one- I liked it! I like music I can kinda sing a long too as well. Definitely need something for those treadmill runs though. Good for you for making it through the whole 45 minutes! I'm happy with my 32 for now

Off to bed- ttyl.
