Ha! This had me giggling!!! I actually have a set of Jillians dvd's that still have the wrappers still on 'em. Guess I've been too chicken? :p Kim can pound sand for all I care, I just do not like that woman! lol And NO, you're definitely not a bad red team member  You are doing whatever it takes to win success! Now THAT is what the RED TEAM is all about!! :cheer2: ♥danielle |
Michelle, my thoughts are with you and I hope you have lots of support from friends and family to help you through.
As far as everyone's weigh-ins, like LawMomVeronica said, half-pound losses are good! All losses (and maintenance too) are good! I am excited because I think I may have a half-pound loss on Sunday. I am keeping my fingers crossed and it's inspiring me to wait until Sunday afternoon to have a planned treat. Melissa, I don't know have any great ideas about the constant dog poop situation, but I can sympathize. My husband usually deals with situations like these by going off like a madman.:bomb: Not the best approach every time, but it means I don't usually deal with this kind of stuff. We have people use part of our side yard as a dog bathroom because a lot of people walk their dogs next to it. If I see them I run out with a plastic bag and try to shame them into picking it up. They almost always do, but that's not a situation where I have to live with the people right near me doing it all the time. Good luck studying too! Eating was good today, I tried a new recipe for dinner for tomatoes/zucchini, and I got lots of exercise gardening and cleaning. I still have to put my bed together tonight so I can sleep in it, so more movement for me. Gotta go do that and get ready tomorrow, as I have to work a half day. :cheer2:Keep going Red Team!:cheer2: edit: P.S., I love Jillian too! I don't have any DVDs (yet), but I have the Making the Cut book. The workouts in that are fantastic and definitely killer. I learned a lot of new exercises from the book. |
grocery shopping - I like it but I go in the middle of the night half the time so I don't have to deal with rude people. Although I find it harder to shop now that I'm eating so much better. I'm not buying a whole lot of packaged things so it's a challenge to find snacks and such.
Jillians videos - I have shape up back and front and at one point I had the kick box one but I hated that one and traded it away. I can't remember why I haven't touched her others recently. I don't do the biggest loser one very often anymore either I tend to gravitate to things that end up being more fun for me like Turbo Jam or the step videos. Please no one feel bad about small losses while the challenge part is fun and everything in the end were really all here to do this the healthy way. Hun e. b - there was a thread "debate" on another board I read too and it go fairly nasty some real fat-phobics over there. Sorry your healthy debate got shut down. Great weigh in BTW wow! Tell us your secretes! :) JustG, - Good weigh in! the doctors appointment went okay. I won't know about my numbers for a few weeks. Going to have to get my BP re-taken though it was higher then normal, which was probably out of nervousness. Sugar - cupcakes what kind (chomps on apple to not think about cupcakes) veggie - a few bad days is no biggie the important thing is to pick yourself up and keep going. lawmom- so how do you like the weights so far? do you have a dvd to follow or just doing your own thing? Anyone else I missed - HI! :) Lets see... food today was much higher then normal so I did an extra workout to counter balance it. Yesterday was my rest day... things are going okay otherwise nothing new to report. Going to see if the husband wants to go for a long bike ride tomorrow together. -muse |
Good morning! I don't know why, but I woke up feeling thin and healthy. This, of course, was before I looked in the mirror. But I did see some improvements in my stomach, which made me happy. I didn't workout yet because my knee is killing me. I took some ibuprofen, so hopefully that'll make it better in time for me to get a workout in. It's the weekend, but I mustn't slack off!! That's my only goal for the day. Next week, I hope to kick butt with an awesome weight loss.
Congratulations on everyone's weight loss so far! |
I just had to stop in to say
I just saw 129 on my scale. I would say for the first time in about 20 years, but all the weights I've seen under 150 have been for the first time in 20 years.:dizzy: Now I'm going to exercise. This calls for some great music! |
129, wow! Congratulations!!
I await the day when I see that number on my scale. Heck, I'd be doing cartwheels if I saw 160. :) |
Hey Ladies
I am sick and I have have two sick kiddies so I have to make it quick. Things here have been going alright. Been feeling sick so haven't done as much exercise as I would've liked to and I am (for the most part) sticking to healthy foods. I've allowed myself a few treats, but that's just how I do things. I can't restrict a food or else I binge...and possibly purge. So it's working for me. Hope everyone is doing well! |
Good Morning Red team!!!
Renee...Good morning!!! I think you summed up my neighbors! Inconsiderate, I cannot wait to buy a house next year! likenoother...you ARE a weirdo! LOL! JK!! Acually once upon a time I like to grocery shop too but anymore its just a pain! Too many people and they are RUDE! I need to do what muse does and go in the middle of the night. Lawmom....LOL you are a fantastic Red team member!!! Kickin butt is what we are all about. I think when we started we decided Bob and Jillian were our mascots. Let us know how those DVDs are! Danielle...Kim can go pound sand...HA! Ann...can I borrow you husband? LOL! I hope work wasnt too bad, half day is better than a full thats for sure!!! Way to go on your loss!!! I'm so excited for you!!! 3 more lbs and goal!!!! That has got to feel so incredible!!! Definetly something to keep you flying high and on track!! GREAT job!! Muse...my secrets? LOL..well its simple I've stuck to plan to a T for 14 days straight! And I mean not one single stray the whole time. Plus, its the FIRST 14 days on plan for me so naturally I'm gonna lose alot. It's gonna all slow down now but it sure is nice to get that big boost at the beginning thats for sure! Oh a bike ride!!! I love bike rides!! I hope you guys have a great time! Tera...my favorite way to wake up!!! Feeling thin! LOL!! Weekends are so tough to stick to plan but I know you can do it!! You are worth it!! babygrant...ugh! I'm sorry to hear that you are sick, and on top of it having to take care of little sickies!! No rest for the weary huh? I hope you are all feeling better very soon! Michelle...how are you today? Was thinking about you, hope you pop in and give us an update! ~melissa |
No exercise for me yesterday so I didnt get my red wins....booohisss! But I've got today to get one more!! Sunday I'll add em all up and see how we did!
So tomorrow will start another challenge for us!! It'll focus on exercise! I hope that everyone on the Red team participates! This one is going to be a comptetition, and a little fun, healthy competition never hurt anyone did it? It'll be fun I hope! I had another fantastic on plan day yesterday despite all my tummy issues in the morning! Question for anyone....have you tried a coffee bean that is chocolate flavored? I was thinking of getting some so that I could cut out the chocolate syrup in my mochas but wasnt sure if it had a real chocolate flavor or not. I saw safeway had a whole bunch of different kinds but didnt want to buy any if it wasnt really flavored. And..finally, I would just like to say. I'm sorry to anyone who feels like i'm being too harsh about people not posting. But, when you signed up for this challenge you did sign up to be on a team. This isnt an individual challenge which is why its so important to stay in contact with your TEAM. Trust me, its not gonna be very fun for those of us who do check in on a regular basis when we get to week 7 and there are only 3 or 4 posting. That to me is not a team. So I'm gonna continue to be a stickler about everyone on Red posting AT LEAST once a week. And I will continue to PM people who havent checked in. If you go 2 weeks without checking in I can only assume that you no longer want to be part of the team and you might get removed from the list. I dont think your team should have to beg for your support. I do understand that some weeks things happen but all you gotta do is a short one sentence post to your team letting us know you'll be MIA when you post your weights. Okay...enough soap box! I need to focus on homework and maybe a little housework today! I've got 1 1/2 chapters of marketing to get through today. Not hard material but they are LOOOOONG chapters! So its hard to stay focused on it! I hope everyone has a beautiful weekend!!! I'm off to post our next challenge!! Be good Red team!! We deserve the best!!! and Dont forget to post your weight!! |
Ann, wow girl you're almost to goal. That is so inspiring! You must feel really really good, huh? You rock!!
Muse, lookit you go with all that exercise! Woo hoo!! Cupcakes....not whatcha think. :D Sausage, egg & cheese...almost like a sausage mcmuffin w/out the muffin...YUMMO. Have fun on your bike ride! Babygrant, I'm sorry you're sick! Ugh, and little sickies to boot! I hope everyone gets better soon!!! Veggielady, the thin feeling is awesome isn't it! I know you will get that workout in, I have faith! Melissa, forgot to comment on the "poo" situation. Well, you already know what I'd do....leave it on their doorstep in a big ole pile.... hhmmm, gee that sounds sorta like something I "may" have done here? :D :D :D Ugh, Kim, you know how I hate her! lol She's too Barbie for me. Blech! I am so proud of you for sticking with things yesterday despite the tummy troubles! That's what this is all about, kickin some tush! And NO, I definitely don't feel like you're being harsh regarding expectations for this team! In order for us to succeed as a TEAM, we all need to be supporting and motivating as a TEAM. I've never understood why anyone signs up for something and then assumes that they can fade into the background. Mystifying! :p Heck, there's people on other teams with 10gazillion kids running around and they manage to post not just about themselves, but acknowledge every single one of their teammates. I think it's fabulous! So yeah, I like that we have an expectation to post once in a while and I love hearing how people are doing too. |
Goooooooood Morning RED TEAM!!!! :carrot:
I awoke bright & early before dh's alarm even went off, and I am raring to go!! :dancer: I've done a BL workout (had to see Bob) and then I did 15 min. on the elliptical afterwards. I may have been able to do more but my legs felt a little bit like j-e-l-l-o! lol I am way psyched for our new exercise challenge, I think this will help alot of us stay inspired to keep working hard on it. Melissa thank you for all your creativity and time you put into our team!!! Not entirely busy today for a change, just housework and laundry. Blech! Totally looks like its gonna rain here too, yay! Altho, 90+ temps with rain isn't always fun, but having the sun "hide" for awhile is relief in itself! :sunny: Have you all been keeping up with our RED WINS challenge? I made one whole day, the others have been really close. But then, "close" only counts in horseshoes and handgrenades, eh? I do love this challenge tho because it forces me to focus on all aspects of the journey, and my hardest one is self affirmations...but it's getting easier! Maybe we can do this again next week????? Hint! Hint! ;) Have a lovely day ladies, I'm off to eat breakkie and get a shower. Be good to you! ♥ |
Danielle...you amaze me every single day!!! Excellent job this morning with that exercise!!! I'm simply in awe of what you've done today!!! Girl you rock!! Hey I'm all for extending the RED WINS challenge if anyone wants to. Or we can wait till someone reaches 500 minutes. I dont want to overwhelm anyone. I think Chellez was gonna start the tour exercise challenge this week so that'd be 3 challenges going. I think I might just extend my week and if anyone else wants to thats great!
~melissa |
Aw, you're so sweet Mel. :o I just feel really motivated and inspired to run (so to speak ;) ) with it all. I'll tell you what is uplifting, not to mention a load off, is to finally find a WOE (way of eating) that makes you feel really good. Knowing that you can eat that way forever and never feel deprived or disatisfied. Feels like the pressure's off in a way because I now look at this as a lifestyle and not so much as a "way to lose weight" and then go back to eating like I used to. The weight loss is the bonus for me at this point as I acknowledge that this lifestyle fits me mentally & emotionally. So refreshing!
I will be following right behind you for another week of Red Wins..I love this challenge. The more I got going on the less likely I've got time to get in trouble elsewhere! LOL |
Hun - Ahhh yes the first few weeks of being on plan then usually come off swiftly. I kinda miss those days. I've been at it since May so mine are starting to slow a wee bit. In fact despite being down earlier this week this morning my weight was the same. Argh. Hope that's just salt/water and I'll be back down again before weigh in.
Coffee Beans - No I haven't tried the chocolate ones. We usually just use syrup in our coffee either sugar free or the normal, but I've cut back to less then a tablespoon so the calories aren't really more then 40 or so. We invested in a espresso machine and grinder a few years ago because we were spending too much at Starbucks. If you do try the choc. beans let us know how you like it. Mari - Thats awesome. What a fabulous job you've done! I haven't yet reached those #s I haven't seen in 15 years... once I get below 220 I'll start hitting that territory. Speaking of which despite having lost 46lbs already since I'm back down to the size my body is normally being at i don't feel very thin yet. I do feel less puffed out and more comfortable but i cant wait till I get to the point when i look in the mirror and don't recognize what I see. Happy weekend everyone! |
Sorry I haven't been on all week. DS has new friends from school so we've been spending most of our day after school over at their house. Then, we come home, I cook and clean, maybe get to exercise, then go to bed as I have early work hours. Part of my trying to get healthier is staying away from the PC as it's very easy for me to spend 2+ hours on it in a single day if I sit down even just to check email or my bank balance. Sitting in front of the PC negates all the hard work I've done since April. Up until now I've relied 85% on the exercise to lose my weight and haven't changed my diet drastically yet. When I do get down time I have to prioritize my PC time with what needs to be done if I don't end up choosing to read instead.
With that being said, this is my BL time since DH is home to occupy DS. First let me say that it seems like almost everyone is doing a spectacular job so far! :carrot: As of this last weigh in at work I am STILL the only one who is trying to improve myself and getting a loss (no matter how small) on the work scale. None of the other women seem to be trying OR trying to get back the motivation that they say they've lost. There are only 5 weigh-ins left for work and I am going to "win" by a landslide it seems. This Wednesday I walked 9 miles. Took about 2hr 50 minutes which is great for me. So far I've managed to bring my walking pace up from 3mph to 3.25mph since I started all this walking. Of course my poor feet are paying for it. An old blister I never popped turned into a blood blister and I got another beauty of a blister to add to it. Not sure if it's the new shoes or just the amount of time walked? I did 6 miles today and it didn't feel to great walking as the bottoms of my feet were tender. I did get some funky inserts that are supposed to help the 'burning' sensation I've been getting. The weird sensation has only been with these new shoes. They are walking shoes but maybe I should spend more on them next time? I keep loosening and tightening my shoes. Too loose and my feet don't burn, but then I feel like I'm shuffling. Too tight and they burn and I feel like I'm mincing along. My old shoes are way too broken down to use and I can't afford to buy a new pair. Can anyone recommend a good brand of walking shoes that aren't more than say $55? I'm going to have to crack down on the diet part of my weight loss now that we are slowly shifting into colder weather. I've got gloves etc so I can keep walking outside as it gets colder but as soon as it starts snowing, that will stop. I'm trying to convince my mom to use her CC to buy me an elliptical before then and I can pay her back month to month. :D Have a great weekend everybody! |
Sorry I have been a scarce team-mate. I'm still trying to get used to our new school schedule with tons of activities and also working part-time. Plus I have been eating so crappy and not exercising at all so haven't had anything good to report. I *do* feel motivated though so I guess that is something- it's just getting there to making those better choices!!
So- I will commit here to a much better week this week! I know I just need a few good days in a row and I'll be good to go. |
Good rainy morning Red team!!! And when I say rainy I mean POURING!!! Been going at it all night long! Its most assuredly fall! LOL!!
I'm up and at it this morning attempting to get 2 chapters of cost management read before the Bronco game! Hard to concentrate when its so dark out though! Muse...I did go ahead and get the chocolate beans and they are AMAZING!!! I'm in heaven with my little cup of coffee. I invested in an espresso machine myself so I have to make em americano(water down the espresso), I add some cream and 2 packs of splenda and OMG!! SO YUMMY! I'm really looking forward to trying some other flavors...who knew I was such a coffee lover LOL! I love that you dont have to buy a whole bag of something too, you can just get a little bit to try out. cbmmom....There ya are!! I was getting worried we'd lost you! I can understand about getting sucked into the computer. I tend to do it myself, but I look at it this way...at least I'm not standing at the fridge eating, or mindlessly snacking. It keeps my mind busy and its really ME time. Way to go on those walks!! 9 miles in one day!!! Holy sore feet batman! LOL!! As for shoes I would strongly recommend Saucony (pronounced Sock a knee) Danielle actually turned me on to these shoes. They did wonders for my feet. They were really light and really comfy like walking on clouds. I know you can usually get really good deals on last years models, I think I got 2 pair for around $80...they were last year models. The other one that gets recommended to me alot is New Balance, much cheaper shoe but they are good quality, I've had those too and they were nice but not as comfy as the saucony. I think I've had my saucony's for 3 years and they are still in good condition just really dirty. I would strongly recommend to stay away from Walmart though, i got some walking shoes there, and while they are comfy they drive me insane because they squeak all the time, as if they are wet on the bottom. Other people I've talked to said theirs do the same thing. Good luck and let us know what you come up with!! Jelyn....getting into that grove of a new schedule can be rough but you'll get there!! I'm so glad to hear you've stayed motivated! I think what our teammates need to understand that being an active member of the team is going to do so much for your motivation and stamina. Some may thing its just wasted time, mindless...but its not! When you've got someone to report to you make better choices because you know someone out there is watching. And when you feel like slipping into the background you've got your team to think about. Do a little experiment and just watch our team and the other teams, you'll notice that when people start struggling they arent active with the team. What you'll see ALOT is....sorry I havent been around, I've been bad or I'm struggling (things like that). Trust me, I'm no new hat to this. USE your team! thats what we are here for! Okay I promise this isnt a lecture to you LOL! Stop procrastinating Melissa! I hope everyone has a fantastic day today!! Go Broncos! LOL! ~melissa |
2 reminders:
PLEASE GET YOUR WEIGHTS POSTED BEFORE DEAD LINE!!! and Today is Day 1 of the exercise challenge (Catch me if you can) start racking up those minutes!! |
I started the exercise challenge off on a good foot. I went running/walking with a friend and she just started jogging, so we took it slow. We did 15 minutes total jogging and then walked 45 minutes around a lake. It was a really nice day today. I've got my food all planned out today. Yesterday we went to DH's parents' house and of course there was nothing but sugary junk food everywhere. I only ended up eating a couple of bites of vanilla ice cream and 4 small cookies. That's why junk food is NEVER in my house.
I hope everyone has a happy sunday! |
Way to go Renee!!! How great to have a new running partner too!! See you CAN sample a little bit of treats and be satisfied, you did GREAT!!! You've got a very healthy lifestyle going on!! Only success can come from it!!
~melissa |
Greetings Red Team!
cmbmom, I can certainly relate to internet time taking up lots of your time, I hope you're finding a balance so that you can continue to post here regularly your team needs ya! Saucony are the best shoes IMO, they're pretty pricey regularly but most athletic shoe stores always have stacks of older models for really great deals. Definitely check into clearance areas you will find some killer deals. Addidas has a good line too, just have to check for sales on those. Melissa, I hope the homework is almost done so you can finally enjoy part of your weekend. Nose stuck in a book for 2 days straight. Sheesh! ;) We had rain for about 2 seconds, of course it flooded everything and now looks like it never rained. Gotta love desert living! How's the coffee this a.m.? Hope it's just as yummy! leedarenee, you're off to a great start with the challenge. Good for you!!! |
Well Leslie Sansone kicked my arse this morning with a fast paced 3 mile walk! Holy cow! I'm so proud I did it, at first I wasn't so sure I'd be able to finish, but by 2 miles I was rockin! :carrot: 45 min. done so far today! YESSSSSSSSSSS!
Hoping everyone has a great Sunday and are revving for another great week with the RED team!!!! :dancer: |
Just a quick check in while the oven is heating up. I will definitely go check out the athletic stores and look for those brands of shoes. I'm not much for keeping up with the latest styles so older models won't bother me a bit. :D
Feeling kind of lazy today. I think it's a mental thing knowing that today is the first day of fall. I love fall but it just inspires laziness and the feeling that it's time to sleep sleep sleep. I'm going to either walk outside or do my WATP after dinner. Right now I just want to unwind from work. Thanks for the help ladies! |
I haven't posted in the new challenge thread because I have this fear that I won't exercise. The fact that I'm fluctuating bw a 1-2 pound loss should be motivation enough but right now it isn't. I'm just not there with it yet.
I had a little slip up with food last night but I'm back OP today. |
cmbmom, good to see you today. I do hope you find some good walking shoes. Nothing hurts more than bad shoes, especially when you've got a goal you're trying to accomplish. I certainly feel tired and sleepy when its overcast and rainy..can't really say it gets "cold" here living in the valley but definitely when that sun disappears I'd like nother other place to be but under the covers reading a good book or watching a movie! lol
likenoother, boy can I relate to fear of exercise. And trust me, when I say I relate. In a BIG way! Huge! I was always so afraid of it, to the point that thinking about it would paralyze me. I had a little minor scare with blood pressure, not life threatening (yet) but enough to put a fire in my tush to get going with weight loss, and for me that most certainly includes exercise. I got an elliptical for my b-day, its all I wanted much to the shock of dh. I am finally in a place where exercise is not so bad. I won't lie and say I love it, but it's "ok", there are a zillion other things I'd much rather be doing, that's for sure! LOL I know that its doing good things for me inside and the energy I feel afterwards has been well worth the sweat. I guess what I'm trying to say in a not so short-winded way :D is you gotta do what you gotta do only when you're ready for it. No matter what kind of prodding I got from family or friends, I could never bring myself to do it and hearing everyone harp at me only made me dig my heels in more about it. Unfortunately for me, it took a health issue to make me wake up, I'm just thankful that it wasn't serious enough before I had the chance to fix it on my own. Listen to your body and you will know when you're ready! In the meantime, focusing on food & water is an excellent way to stay ahead of the game. You can do this sweetie, but all in your own good time, I know you can! Maybe watching others on this team will inspire you to start trying? Short workouts, baby steps! |
Sugar N Spice--Thanks for the support. You have hit the nail on the head: I'm not ready. Actually when I get going on exercise...I do love it. Its just getting back into the swing of things. What happens is I take it too far. I have so many options I just get ridiculous! So I am hoping by November I will be ready because I want to do the C25K program. In the past of course when I was 60 pounds lighter I would run 3 miles outdoors with my trainer. I would love to get back to that. I want to get my weight down a bit to save my knees and my back so hopefully by November I will be there. I'm not saying I will not do any exercise between now and November but it may be sporadic here and there.
OMG--My bf looks so skinny now. He had a bp scare and really kicked it in gear. He only wants to lose 11 more pounds. I hope he is happy then bc I like my men with some meat on them. |
You can only do what you love for a sustained period of time anyways. Why set yourself up to fail if you already know you're not ready. I say more power to you for being aware of what your body is telling you. It's sort've like choosing a weight loss plan, something I've struggled with forever. If you can pick a plan that will help you not feel deprived, allows you to eat what you like then of course you're more apt to stick with it. I'm done white-knuckling anything anymore, even if it takes me twice as long! This is for life, right!?! Exercise is the same way! All in good time and I'm sure we'll see you racing around everywhere. You have a goal that you want to get to and I have no doubt that you will make it to that c25k. Running with a trainer is another great incentive! And ugh, men and weight loss, makes me sick. lol They lose soooo easily! Congrat's to him tho' and for being supportive of you!!
|
Good evening Red team!!! I hope everyone is doing GREAT!! Just finished a very tasty dinner of tenderloin and salad, the rest of my family had baked potatoes...but not me!! I've got goals to meet! LOL!!
No exercise for me today but I'm okay with that because its kinda like my day off. Homework and laundry are my only tasks for today and I've got those conquered...well except for the laundry still gotta fold it all and put it away, but thats a neverending battle isnt it? Cbmmom....so how'd that workout go? Its really tough for me to get motivated to do much of anything on sundays! Any progress workin on mom and that treadmill deal yet? LOL! likenoother...you know you just cant force yourself to do something you dont wanna. I wont get too much into it because I can see Danielle gave you some amazing advice. When you are ready the exercise will come, you are still losing now and thats what matters! C25K is an amazing program I'd love to be able to do perhaps when I'm MUCH smaller! LOL! I suppose I should go start getting the kiddos ready for the week. And see who hasnt posted weights yet. ~melissa |
Week 3 Get to know your team survey!
This is a great way to break the ice if you arent a usual poster! 1. What is your favorite weightloss tip? 2. Where would your dream vacation be? 3. What is one thing you succeeded at last week? 4. What is something you struggled with last week? 5. Who is your favorite fictional character? 6. Are you a city girl or a country girl? 7. What is your favorite thing about Autumn? 8. Do you have any pets? 9. Which is better? 70s or 80s? 10. What color are your toenails right now? Have fun Red team!! ~melissa |
Hi guys.
Sorry I haven't been posting. Finding time has been my big issue. I went from working from 8-4 to 7:45-5:30. Throw in a workout and dinner and it's 8 o'clock before I can even think about decompressing from the day. My house is a wreck because I don't have time to clean... I know, it's just a bunch of excuses. I'm reevaluating my eating plan and exercise routine because as of now, fried and none isn't working. As part of my overhaul, I promise to post every day. Hope everyone is doing well :) I'm ready to be a better team mate! |
Amber...ya know I have just given up on that clean house thing! LOL! I can never seem to find the time to do it the way I want to, and then when I do clean it...the kids come through and its as if I never did! You can turn those habits around!! You can do it!!
~melissa |
1. What is your favorite weightloss tip?
To use a smaller plate. I find that it helps immensely 2. Where would your dream vacation be? I kind of want to go to Thailand 3. What is one thing you succeeded at last week? I ran twice. Too bad the goal was for three.... 4. What is something you struggled with last week? Eating. I don't know why I'm having so many issues lately. 5. Who is your favorite fictional character? Lizzy Bennet from Pride and Prejudice 6. Are you a city girl or a country girl? Country. As much as I fight it. 7. What is your favorite thing about Autumn? My Birthday :):):) And the beautiful leaves 8. Do you have any pets? I just got a kitten. His name is Spencer and he is all sorts of awesome!! Except at night when I want to sleep and he wants to play. At that point he is annoying. 9. Which is better? 70s or 80s? The 80s baby! Not only do I come from the 80s, but so does the greatest music of all time. 10. What color are your toenails right now? Iceblue Pink |
1. What is your favorite weightloss tip? One of the things that helps the most is keep anything you have control issues with out of the house. If it's not there you can't eat it unless you go out of your way. This includes EVEN healthy things. For example I'd eat 4 containers of Dannon Black Cherry Yogurt if someone gave them to me. :)
2. Where would your dream vacation be? UK and Europe 3. What is one thing you succeeded at last week? Exercise (382 minutes last week) 4. What is something you struggled with last week? Water. It's not my favorite thing in the world. 5. Who is your favorite fictional character? Edward Scissorhands 6. Are you a city girl or a country girl? Citygal these days. Been in Chicago 10.5 years now. 7. What is your favorite thing about Autumn? ALL of it. I love autumn. The weather, the leaves, the pumpkins, Halloween , fall flavors... 8. Do you have any pets? 3 cats. Dream, Zim, and Tekka 9. Which is better? 70s or 80s? 80s 10. What color are your toenails right now? Plain! How dull! Besides what I entered in the challenge I also scrubbed the bathtub and sink today (Exciting I know) but I didn't count those minutes. Nice to have a glimmer of energy for once... it's not a ton, but it used to be such a hassle to do anything before I seriously had almost no energy before. |
I'm so pooped. I swear, my dog is the laziest little thing in the world, but once you take him out for a walk, he wants to run a marathon. I suppose that's a good thing for me though, since it's a great workout. I had to make sure he took it slow though, because there are just too many cars driving fast in my neighborhood recently. It makes moving somewhere else very desirable.
Anyway, here are my answers... 1. What is your favorite weightloss tip? My favorite weighloss tip is, "a little bit goes a long way." Small changes can mean big results in the big picture. 2. Where would your dream vacation be? I think about this all the time. Sometimes, I think maybe Japan or Italy. I always have some place different for a dream vacation. 3. What is one thing you succeeded at last week? I succeeded in the RED WINS challenge for the week. I wanted 4 RED WINS, and I got them! 4. What is something you struggled with last week? Sticking to my diet, but I have been doing better the past few days. 5. Who is your favorite fictional character? That's a hard one. There are so many fictional characters out there that are amazing. 6. Are you a city girl or a country girl? City! I live just a short drive from downtown and I love the atmosphere. I loved walking around when I was in Chicago. I was born in New York, and living in the south for so long hasn't changed the face that I love that place. Not to mention, if you live in a nice city, you can walk a lot, which is nice exercise. 7. What is your favorite thing about Autumn? The temperature. I love Halloween too. Even though I'm way to old to trick or treat, I do like to dress up and go out with friends. 8. Do you have any pets? I have a 6 yr. old Miniature Schnauzer named Scotty. 9. Which is better? 70s or 80s? I'd have to be biased and say 80s since I wasn't alive in the 70s, although things made in the 70s are awesome. 10. What color are your toenails right now? They're "au naturale" since I get too lazy to paint them. |
I forgot to add that you get 10 extra minutes added to your challenge total for doing the weekly survey!!!

On my way to bed and I just love surveys so I'm snooping to see if we had more!
Katie....thank you so much for checkin in!! We'd love to hear a little about you! We all understand busy! Michelle...I'm glad to hear you are doing okay. I cant even imagine how hard it is so i wont try. Just know I'm wishing you good things to get you through, and I for one appreciate your sacrifice more than you'd ever know. But, I think your comment was a bit snarky (perhaps I'm reading it wrong, I'm truly sorry if thats the case, its late and I'm exhausted). Its not as if the rest of the team (other than the 4 you mention) dont care how you are doing, I think its a matter of you not posting enough for everyone to get to know you. Some people havent had the time to do personals. Your team does care about you. "See" you in the morning Red team!! Dont forget to post your weight!!(gettin sick of me saying that yet? LOL) ~melissa |
