I'm here. I'm back at work this week after having 2 weeks off. Thats why I was in here more previously. Mostly likely my posts will take place late night/early morning and maybe mid day. I have not even hit my "so busy I want to hurt somebody" point at work yet. That will be in October. Fair warning I may be a little snippy then. The positive about that for the team is when I have so much going like that I feel the only thing I can really control in my life at that point is my eating so I really stay OP then.

mariposita 09-20-2007 12:31 AM

Hey, just got in--what a long day.

I cooked dinner this morning, did a few things around the house, worked at this internship thing I am doing (and got my brain challenged in a major way), went to school, did some research at the library, and I am pooped. No exercise today, but everything else was pretty good. I guess I'll call today my rest day.

Melissa, hope you had a good day being the helper at school. I bet your daughters looked great for their pics!

Muse, Good luck on your blood work. They say a 10% loss is likely to have a very positive effect on your results, and exercise helps too, so it sounds like you will see a change.

Likenoother, hang in there with stresses at work!

Everyone else, check in so we know you're still alive.

dream710 09-20-2007 12:42 AM

Well, today wasn't that great of a day. I had set a plan of attack for the day last night, but it a fell to crap in a hurry. I ate within my calories and did drink my water, but thats where it ends.. Tomorrows gonna be better...I promise!

Taryn- Happy Birthday! Congrats on Week One!

Muse- Great job on the 60 minutes of exercise. I've heard exercising makes your good cholesterol (sp) go up. I hope that everything goes good at the doctors office.

Melissa- 2 girls to get ready...I can't imagine. I have one DD and have to get up two hours early to get us both ready.

AmberD-Wow a 3 mile run, some day I hope to be able to run long distances. Right now I'm up to a mile with a short term goal of 5. Eventually I'd like to run a half marathon and live to tell about it. :D

Everyone have a great night..
Bridgette.

shygrly 09-20-2007 03:23 AM

i did 30 minutes on the treadmill today. and then sat in the sauna for a bit.
good job to everybody on the red team.

Hun.e.B 09-20-2007 09:56 AM

Good Morning Lovelies!!! So good to see some bright shiny faces!

Muse....please just post away!! Thats what this is here for! Cant wait to hear how your bloodwork comes out!! I also cant wait till I can say I'm 35 lbs lighter! LOL!! Excellent job on that workout!!!

Likenoother...LOL...we'll be here for ya! Vent away and get it all out when you need to! October can be your month to kick some serious butt on exercise working out all that aggression!!

Ann...sheesh! Busy day!! No wonder you are pooped! I'd say a rest day was in order with all that on the schedule! Picture day was great, funny how exhausted I got just standing around fixing shirts and combing hair LOL!

Bridgette....the most important thing is that you MADE the plan! Failing to plan is planning to fail! Right back on the right path today though! You can do it...sounds like you really didnt do that bad anyway still stuck to calories!! The lucky thing with me having to get 2 other girls ready is that they are older and can do most of it themselves...just hair that becomes an issue anymore.

shygrl....so great to see you posting!!! Excellent job on that workout!! You are doing GREAT!!

Okay running late, will have to update on myself later!! Have a beautiful day RED team!!!

Sugar-N-Spice 09-20-2007 11:43 AM

I'm here! I'm here! Please don't beat me with the wet noodle! Yesterday was a busy day, not to mention sorta stressful...but it's over now. hallelujiah! I slept like a rock that's for sure, felt so good to crawl into bed!

Muse, I am so sure you will see fabulous blood work! You are doing amazing, wow, 35 lbs!!!! I can't wait til I can say I've lost that much! :carrot:

likenoother, gosh, sorta sounds like you'll be "scary person" soon. :D J/K! I am certain that you will do very well with your plan during all this stress, you already know what lays ahead and you sound totally up for it!

Ann, good golly momma, you did have a day didn't you! I say a rest definitely is needed, hope its a good one!

Bridgette, aw hon you did wonderful IMO! You hung in there with food and water and that is major important. Life just happens sometimes, but the best part is we get new beginnings all the time! You're a star!

shygrly, ahhhhhhh a sauna. Now that's what I call relaxation! Great job on the 30 min.!!!

Melissa, hope today is going well for ya! You are rockin this food thing to the max, and hey, all that bike riding too!! Glad the picture thing went good, and I know the girls looked beau-T-ful! :D

Sugar-N-Spice 09-20-2007 11:55 AM

Okay, well yesterday was sorta a bust with my plan...I ate terribly and no exercise. About the only thing I did right was drink all my water. :o I think I've found my footing again today and am feeling very optomistic. I had to really dig deep last night while thinking about what a bad off plan day I'd had. Plain and simple, I'm an emotional eater and I HAVE to find another outlet to not let that take over and ruin all my progress. No one says I have to be perfect, but at the same time, if I wanna be successful I have to try and keep trying no matter how many times I have to keep getting up from falling down.

I've got myself armed with yummy foods for the day, what am I sayin....I'm eatin like a freaking queen today! LOL Ohhhhh, and you should smell these breakfast "cupcakes" I've got in the oven...who needs MickeyD's!! :p I've got a rumbly in my tumbly that's for sure!!! :hungry: The rest of my day is planned carefully to make sure I get my workout in, amongst all the many "mom" duties I have. My youngest DD comes home from camp this afternoon so I am very excited! she's been gone for 4 whole days! However busy today, I WILL get that exercise in, I WILL eat right, and I WILL make today a RED WINS day!!!!! :dancer:

Robot 09-20-2007 05:09 PM

Hi everyone.

The past two days were horrible with my diet, but today, I'm back on track.

Hun.e.B 09-20-2007 05:16 PM

ugh, I'm having serious computer issues this afternoon so lets hope I can finish my posting before I throw the monitor out the window!!! GRR! LOL!

So guess what...I rode my bike!! I'm on great track to geat a RED WINS today, just gotta find something new to try!

Danielle...way to go for getting it all pulled back together!!! You rock!! So did you get that workout in? I know you did!! Why because YOU are amazing thats why! One foot in front of the other, one of us might slip but the whole team is there to pull us back into line! Dont stress that darn ESM tomorrow either!!

Tera...Back on track girl!! You can do this!! Like I told Danielle we all slip but noone is gonna let ya go without a fight!! Way to go today!! We can do this!!

Alright, off to find food and hit the books! I hope everyone is doing GREAT today!! Keep shining ladies!! Tomorrow is weigh in day for me!

We really really want to hear from you and support you in your weightloss journey...thats the point of being on a team challenge!

Shay 09-20-2007 06:56 PM

I didn't mean to scare anyone (wink, wink)! I just like to give people fair warning. I can already see it coming out in some of my posts. I need to reign it in a bit. I've had a really good day so far with staying OP. Working on my 2nd bottle of water with one more to go. I really doubt exercise will happen. I will weigh in Monday morning about 6am. I think it will be a good one!

Shay 09-20-2007 07:03 PM

See....I just went out after posting in here to see what else is going on in the forum and there's another thread out there...Where is all this negativity about the Biggest Loser coming from? I'm not going to even post in there. People are just over analyzing stuff.

Hun.e.B 09-20-2007 07:07 PM

Yeah dont bother, we got a healthy debate going and got shut down. But, you are kicking some butt girl!!! Cant wait to see those amazing results on Monday!! Just so ya know...takes alot to scare me LOL!!

~melissa

just get it done 09-20-2007 09:19 PM

Hi! Ladies!

I wrote a post this afternoon and responded to everyone's comments but somehow it didn't make it on here. oh well

Tomorrow is weigh in day for me and I was wondering if anyone has something particular that they do before weighing in. You know like a last chance workout like they do on the show. Do you eat before you weigh in lol those type of things.

I have stayed on plan the majority of the time this week. I was so proud of myself yesterday. My husband and I went walking around the lake and when we came to hills I ran up them instead of walking :carrot: A very big thrill for me. lol

I just found the top reviews at the bottom of this page, how neat :D

Muse how did that doctor appointment go ! Good I hope:D

Hun e. b. What debate ? Dang , I miss everything :)
Good job on the bike riding there lady :)

likenoother I love your name by the way.:) There's negative talk about the biggest loser show :?: what? No , don't tell me lol I love that show :D

Hi veggie lady glad your back on track. :)

Sugar N Spice You know what makes a winner? When they fall they get right back up and try again! That my friend makes you a winner! :carrot:

shygrly Good job on the walking and I'm jealous of that sauna ;)

Dream710 eatting within your calories and drinking your water is half the battle . Good job on that :)

mariposita Wow! It sounds like you moved around quiet a bit today! I bet you got more exercise than you realize. Hang in There :)

Well, I'm going to have to get off of here and get some exercise in. lol I hope I didn't overlook anyone. If I did I'm sorry! :)

God Bless the red Team

LawMomVeronica 09-20-2007 09:45 PM

Hey Red Team, just checking in! I bought some hand weights today so I can keep going with my exercise, w00t! I have been doing awesome with eating this week too. Went to an Italian place today for lunch and only had 1/2 piece of bread, so proud of myself! I hope everyone else's week is going well too, weigh-ins coming up!

Sugar-N-Spice 09-20-2007 10:14 PM

Melissa, WTG on the bike ride chicky!!! Woo hoo for you!! Hope the homework isn't too killer tonight. :p

likenoother, ya didnt scare me, but thanks for the warning. ;) My kids would swear to you that *I'm* scary tho sometimes! LOL Aw, I hate thinkin anyone is bad-mouthing my beloved BL. I read the thread and before I could respond they locked it. Drat! I chalk it up to plain ole jealousy...why else does someone have to go on and on about the success of someone else? *shrugs*
Good job with that water and exercise, I KNOW your weigh in will be fab!

just get it done, no not anything in particular I do before weigh in... about the only thing is I try to keep it a lower sodium day the day before and drown myself in lots of water. Dont know if it really helps but makes me feel better mentally. lol Oh, and like everyone else here I'm sure, always always always gotta weigh nekkid. :p Thanks for the chin up and motivation, I really need it in my fragile state. LOL Good luck with your weigh in, can't wait to hear!

LawMomVeronica, yay for you and all your success this week! :carrot: And wow, half a piece of bread, that's amazing lady!!!

You ladies are such great motivation for me, thank you from the bottom of my heart.

I had a really good day (despite feeling starved all day---darn cravings!) food wise, and water....exercise didnt really happen so much. I did an exerball dvd tho which got me workin my abs alot so all-in-all not a shabby day. Just didnt get to that elliptical like I'd planned. Tomorrow!

♥danielle

Shay 09-20-2007 11:44 PM

Melissa & Sugar N Spice--I'm so happy you don't scare easily. I really think of myself as a caring & fun person but sometimes...

Just get it done--Thanks for the compliment about my name. In the general chatter forum there is a thread asking people to share how they chose their user name. My answer is simple. It reminds me that regardless of how I look or feel on a particular day or at a particular moment that I'm "like no other"

Sugar & Spice and Just get it done--Well I'm fiercely (sp?) loyal to TBL and I may be overreacting a bit

dream710 09-21-2007 12:37 AM

Hey girls, just checking in quick before I head to bed.. I felt bad about not exercising yesterday, so I did extra today. I did a mile and half walk this morning and after work I did my pilates and my jogging/walk combo. My choices in food wasn't the greatest today, but still stayed within my calories range. I think my main problem is that I've been trying to get to the grocery store all week and still haven't made it. I best go to tomorrow we are almost out of TP.

Have a great night

Bridgette.

Hun.e.B 09-21-2007 09:54 AM

Good Morning Red team!! Shocker I'm running behind again!!! Just had to pop on and tell ya I am down another 4.8 !!!! Next week I'm aiming at breaking into the 230s!!!! Cant tell you how excited I am!!

I'll be back to do personals!! Have a wonderful day Red team!!

Mercee 09-21-2007 10:23 AM

Hi all!

Just checking in to say all is well with me and I am hoping for a great weight loss for everyone.

Melissa - Great Job!!!!!

Hun.e.B 09-21-2007 11:06 AM

Thought I was gonna have a sick little one home today, but she changed her mind at the last second. Homework homework for me today! Jealous arent you? LOL!

But, I do get to treat myself to a sugarfree mocha as a reward for sticking to plan without a single cheat for 2 whole weeks!! I'll probably be high as a kite off the caffeine LOL!!

Justgetitdone....Deb, another poster and I were having a healthy debate about biggest loser, tv as entertainment and activism and the mods shut the thread down, called it an arguement. Such is life I guess! So, how'd the weigh in go? And the workout? Excellent job this week!!!

Lawmom....Way to go!!! Ugh, I love italian and especially bread! You conquered that demon!! Excellent job! Sounds like you are having a fantastic week!! Keep i tup!!

Danielle...homework is ALWAYS a killer! LOL! Couple more days and you'll be flying high again, cravings behind ya!! I'm really shocked there is so much badmouthing of tbl arent you? Gotta wonder why they watch if they hate it so much. *zips lips*

Bridgette...you are just kicking some serious butt arent you!!! Way to go!! Youve got success written all over you!!

Mercee....Good morning!!!

Taryn....if you are out there...how'd your birthday go?

Hun.e.B 09-21-2007 11:12 AM

Do not forget to post your weigh in before Monday 11:59 EST!!

That doesnt mean wait till the last minute, do it as soon as you can. We dont want to run into the problems we had this week. Looking for a RED team win!!!

~melissa

Sugar-N-Spice 09-21-2007 01:39 PM

Hello Red!!!

likenoother, I think you'll find several of us incredibly loyal to BL! :D

Bridgette, well lookit you girly with all that exercise! WTG! Definitely get yer hiney to the grocery so you can surround yourself with good healthy yummy food! Eee gads, no TP! The world just might stop spinning, run! ;) :p

Melissa, well I always knew the homework was a pain in the arse, just was sorta hoping you got a reprieve from some of it. Guess not, eh? ;) Congrat's on your loss this week!! I hope you enjoy every drop of your mocha, yummo.

Mercee,

Sugar-N-Spice 09-21-2007 01:45 PM

A freakin half a pound is what I lost this week. Sorry gang. :o I was hoping it'd be more, but guess I can't expect miracles with the off day I had on Wednesday. Instead of griping I guess I should be thankful that that dang hunk of metal gave me any loss at all, eh?

On a GOOD note:
I put on a pair of capris this morning that are a size smaller than what I've been wearing and they FIT. :carrot: So while that scale isn't givin' it to me, the inches are melting! I feel better! :D

Next week will be alot better for weigh in, I can feel it. I got my head back in the game and I'm ready to fight fight fight! :jig::club::boxing:

Robot 09-21-2007 02:04 PM

Yay Melissa for your weight loss.

Danielle, any weight loss is a good loss :) It doesn't matter if it's 1 ounce or 20 pounds. Every little bit goes a long way.

ETA: I lost nothing this week. :(. I guess it was better than a gain, which I thought for sure was going to happen since I had a bad few days with my diet at the beginning of the week.

just get it done 09-21-2007 03:43 PM

 Hi! Good Afternoon , Ladies!

Just wanted to check in and see how everyone's doing. I weighed in this morning and I'm down from 174 to 172.5. Not much of a loss but it is a loss :carrot: I'm so grateful that none of the 6 I lost last week came back lol. All week I worried that I would gain some of it back :D I have been making myself stay off the scales until weigh in time just so I wouldn't get discouraged and it really helped.

Sugar N Spice (dang hunk of metal ) You're a hoot :D I didn't have much of a loss this week either but like you I'm sure next week will be better. :D Don't you just love it when your clothes feel looser , way better than a number on a scale, I say !

Hun e. b. A healthy debate, huh? ;) Does that mean it was getting hot? lol :D Love those kind. lol as long as there's no hard feelings, of course! : Enjoy that mocha! Great Job on the weight loss :bravo:

Hi, Mercee, Good to see you on here :D

Dream710 Good Job on the exercise :carrot: I'm not looking forward to it but I have to make a trip to the store today myself. Just to let you know your not alone lol :D

likenoother How are you doing today ? :D

LawMomVeronica Hi, Good job on eatting less bread :carrot: I'm thinking of trying to eat less carbs this week and see if it helps me any.

Veggielady Your right, A no loss is better than a gain :D You'll get em next week! :D

mikelli 09-21-2007 04:00 PM

It has been a busy, crazy week but I guess that is to be expected when you have 3 kids 17 years apart (ds17, dd10, dd6 weeks). The are running me crazy which I would hope would count for exercise but I know better :dizzy:.
I have done a great job eating but I am just not getting the time to exercise. I walked today and felt so good to be out and getting exercise. I just need to make the time. I am doing my offical weigh-in in the morning but I just checked and I am down another 2.5 lbs. So hopefully it will be all the way to 3 lbs in the morning. I am going to be walking lots for my dd girl scout meeting tonight.

Sugar-N-Spice 09-21-2007 04:04 PM

Veggielady, thanks for that vote of confidence. Sometimes hard to stomach small-ish losses when in the grande scheme of things there is SO much to lose! lol But yeah, I get what you're saying.

just get it done, WOO HOO!!! You did fab this week chicky!! Melissa and I have a favorite name for the scale.... ESM = Evil Scale Monster...and that is just what it is!!!! Yeah, I've always said I'd rather weigh 200lbs and "look" like I weigh 150 then be 150 and LOOK like I weigh 200! :D :D

Hun.e.B 09-21-2007 04:33 PM

Good Afternoon lovelies!!! Its so beautiful outside I should be out there enjoying it! In fact I just might! Let me just tell you about a little drama around here, see if you guys have a solution because I'm at my wits end over it. And no, this isnt plan related! And NO its not a huge deal! LOL...okay so we rent a duplex, each unit having its own fenced yard and then sharing a common area in front. Well the neighbors got a new puppy and let it poop out the front door in the common area. so its the first thing I see when I open my door. I have a dog also but she uses our yard. So I've tried to be subtle about it like leaving the pooper scooper and the garbage can right out there, we've complained LOUDLY, even made comments about it. Well this week I got so sick of having to clean up after their dog for the 3rd week straight I called the landlord, and would you believe they have yet to clean up the poo, in fact still let the dog out there. My dh says I should scoop it all up and throw it in their yard or right on the doorstep...but then I'm cleaning it up again! I can keep calling the landlord I guess but I dont want to be a thorn in their sides either. My dd made a sign to put out there that says "please clean up after your puppy" What would you do to get the poo to stop! .....yes this is a real drama in my life...dog poo! LOL!!

No bike ride for me today, I totally should have but that mocha made my tummy a little upset! So I didnt feel like riding, now I feel fantastic! Gotta go to the store though...puke! anyone else HATE grocery shopping?

Danielle...1/2 a lb is fantastic!!! Its still moving in the right direction and look at you...you are shrinking!!!

Tera...Maintenence IS better than a gain! And our bodies will do that often, just settling in..not to worry the ESM will move again!

just get it done...absolutely no hard feelings were had, we've actually exchanged very pleasant PMs...just a shame the mod felt the need to censor a good conversation.

Kelli...at least you've got the food thing down, the exercise will come!! I think we should focus on exercise for week 2! Keep up the great work, cant wait to hear good results!!

Thanks for the well wishes on my loss ladies!

Michelle...this is when you need your team the most! Let us help you! This is exactly what a support group is for, and i assume why you joined the team challenge. so take advantage of the team you signed up to be on! I'm really sorry to hear about your husband, I know that makes everything else going on in life really hard. You arent alone and your team would like to be there for you. I know its hard but talking about it might help. Last year was different, this year its a Red Team requirement that you check in with us once a week.

707Goddess I just read your post and I'm crying wiith you! I can't even begin to imagine how you feel right now  This great nation that we live in now is because of unselfish people such as your husband and yourself. I hold you in GREAT esteem and I'm very thankful for people like you! I'm so proud of our soldiers and their families. I will be praying for your family every nite. God Bless You! Let me know if there's anyway that I can help you.

Shay 09-21-2007 06:59 PM

707Goddess--I totally agree with Melissa. Please try to check in with us. This could be a great diversion. My brother went to Afghan not too long ago and will be going to Iraq in December. We are so worried. My brother has been in every war/conflict in the past 20 years. His wife is sort of a loner and we really encourage her to use the support groups available. My brother has 3 dd (12, 5, 18mos) and twins on the way in Feb. We feel you. We understand. We are here!

Just get it done--I'm doing great actually. Thanks for asking. My bf is coming over tonight so I'm excited about that and its been a decent week at work.

Sugar N Spice--I'm actually starting to believe I'm obsessed with TBL!

Melissa--Darnit!!!!!!!!! I knew you were going to focus on exercise next week. I'm in trouble!

I'm thinking it may be a 2lb'r again this week but I'm hoping for a 4.

Hun.e.B 09-21-2007 07:03 PM

LOL...yep exercise it is!! I think we are gonna do...who can get to XX amount of exercise minutes first!

LeedaRenee 09-21-2007 07:15 PM

Michelle, I am sorry to hear about your husband. I don't have any words of advice, just wanted to lend you cyber hugs!

Melissa, your neighbors are so inconsiderate! Why would they NOT let their dog use the back yard? Ug, some people!

Kelli, good job on the 2.5 lbs!

justgetitdone, that is a wonderful loss! Good going!

I am SO ready for an exercise challenge, bring it on!

Ugh, you just had to bring up the "G" word, didnt you???? :p You know me, I despise this place! :dizzy:

Shay 09-21-2007 07:42 PM

I guess I'm a weirdo...I like going to the grocery store. Most times I go to 2 or 3 different ones in the same week to buy specific things. I like the idea of buying things that are good for me. I go with a list and get in and get out. I only have to shop for myself. That probably makes a huge difference.

Sugar-N-Spice 09-21-2007 07:42 PM

Kelli, you got alot going on what with a new baby! I think you are doing a great job so far, and the exercise will come soon enough. I agree, why can't all that running around with kids (I've got 3) count towards exercise! lol KUTGW!

Michelle, sorry you're going thru a rough time right now. :hugs: I really think you're dh would love to know that you are using the time he's away to take good care of yourself. We're all here for you!

I hate it mostly because I have to shop with the world's biggest marketing sucker on this planet that is my DH. He has to try everything that is new, got new packaging, whatever.... The idea of buying stuff that's good for me is great, but most times I spend entirely too much money! :dizzy:

LawMomVeronica 09-21-2007 10:09 PM

Congrats to everyone who lost weight so far! Even 1/2 pound a week is still 26 pounds in a year, better that than gaining 26, right? :goodscale

I'm a bad Red team member, I just ordered some of Jillian Michaels' DVDs off of Amazon! I think I really need someone to yell at me and kick my *** though, and Kim just doesn't scare me enough, lol. :p
