My goal for this challenge is 20 lbs and no binging or purging. I am not on a formal plan (because "BAD" foods trigger the binging and purging). I will choose healthy foods, exercise daily, and allow myself a small treat if I want one. :D |
Veggie lady, I'm also very excited about the cool weather. It's been sweltering down here all summer and it's finally starting to cool off (if you can call the low 90s cool). It makes jogging much more pleasant.

Okay, okay I wanted to be on the blue team just because it symbolizes Bob to me but I am truly excited to be on the RED team. I'm so happy that this has finally started. I'm a night owl and Chellez had this stuff up by like 2am. She's great. I've set my goal high just to push myself because I love friendly competition!

Hello ladies, I hope you're all ready to rock 'n' roll! It's gonna be a good time for sure. One thing I really wanna stress is IF there comes a point where you are starting to falter or struggle PLEASE post and tell us. We want to help you regain your footing to keep on going and make sure you never give up. We're all in this together, strength in numbers! We lost quite a few people last challenge because they were afraid to post their pitfalls and struggles. That's what this is about, helping eachother through it all, good & bad. We can do it!!!
And yes, as you can tell by my avi, I ♥♥♥ Bob from the blue team! :D However, this red team is gonna kick some tush, just you wait and see, right?! RIGHT???? :cheer: You all will love our leader, Melissa, she's amazing! I am so looking forward to getting to know you all and helping you and motivating you to a healthier you! ♥ |
It's amazing how you worry about how other people will judge you. We don't know each except through our computers. That does say something about what a community 3FC is though. I guess I am so fascinated about this right now because I am taking a grad Social Psych class right now.

Hello to everyone I don't know (yet) and I'm glad to see names I know from before (Melissa our fab captain, Danielle, Amber, 707Goddess, katiebobatie, and if I missed anyone, sorry for my bad memory)! I think we are going to have a great team. :D Likenoother, I think you will soon see that Melissa and Danielle are some of Bob's biggest fans. :carrot: I didn't have a clue about him before because I started the last challenge without having ever watched TBL :dizzy:, but now I am a total convert. He is truly an amazing guy! Also I want to say I am so glad that you are on our team because you are shorter than I am. ;) I want to echo what Danielle said about posting. please post about your challenges and hard times. I don't think losing weight is an easy journey for anyone, and we are here to support each other. We all know just how hard some days can be, so don't feel like you are alone when you struggle. :hug: I am really looking forward to everyone's help while I work on meeting my ticker goal! I have spent most of the summer happy with bouncing around in a 5 pound range, but I'm feeling really motivated to push through to the end of my ticker. And I'll tell you friends, it's harder the closer I get to goal. Thinking about food and eating good-for-me foods gets just bo-ring!!!! On the upside, the smaller changes in weight are more noticeable because I am smaller overall. |

I am new to this whole thing, but am extremely excited about the opportunity to have the support of people who are dealing with the same weight struggles. I have a very optomistic outlook for the challenge. I am glad to know if I need support you all are here. I look forward to working toward my mini goal of losing 25 lbs during this challenge. Hey Team Red!! I just wanted to say hello to everyone. I have been on 3FC for a while (starting around 290lb) and disappeared, but recently became much more "active." Like VeggieLady and LeedaRenee I am happy to see fall arriving, we don't experience super hot weather this far north, but it'll be much easier (and I'll be more motivated) to get outside and walk with the temps coming down.
I'd love to know what you all are doing to begin/continue/maintain your weight loss? I'm a calorie counter by trade but I recently started FS Diet (phase one ends today) and for exercise I do Tae Bo in the AM ,whatever I can find interesting on FIT TV or and walk in the evenings. On my off day, I'll walk or do Carmen Electra's aerobic strip tease (I know- cheesy but gotta spice it up sometimes :devil:). Awesome job on everyone stepping up to the challenge of getting healthy and losing weight!:carrot: Ciao! |

As for working out, I actually own the Carmen Electra DVD set of her aerobic striptease. I was disappointed though. It's more about the glamour aspect than an actual sweaty workout. DVD 2 (Fit to Strip) is decent though. I currently do Turbo Jam and Bellydancing, which I love so much. |

I'm super excited about this challenge. This is the 3rd BL challenge I've participated in, and I have to say it's been a big part of my weight loss! I just want to repeat what many others have said! If you're struggling, please come and post for some support. We're your team and we're here for you! If you're having a great day, please come and post!!! If I read that you've been exercising, it might guilt me into getting out there myself!:dizzy: We're gonna rock this challenge! I look forward to getting to know all of the new people and catching up with all of the "old" people! |

But it's cooler now, and I'm going to start running again. (No really! I'm not just saying it this time!). I'm gonna be pretty insistant on that point this time around, but trust me you are going to get so much more out of this challenge if you take advantage of what it can give you...and that is support and strength in numbers! YOU are not in this alone, you have a great big strong RED team standing behind you just waiting to give you what you need to succeed!!

Hi I am new to the challenge but I have watched Biggest Loser from the start. I am also a Bob fan but I can :cheer: cheer for red here!!
I'm not following any specific plan, but I do try to eat healthy, and keep it low carb (I had gestational diabetes during pregnancy). My goals are to keep on exercising daily, keep away from sugar (with in reason but that is my down fall), and drink enough water (I like water but I have been busy adjusting so I forget some times). |

Most online people call me Muse you can call me Debb if you rather I answer to both! 2. What eating plan are you using? My own... I would classify it as a calorie tracking moderate carb plan not too disimilar to phase II South Beach the difference being that nothing is strictly off limits to me. I do have a treat now and then but in general I'm working twards more whole grains, veggies, lean protein and less "empty" carbs. I still eat more then most low-carb people though about 50 percent carbs. I aim for 1400-1800 a day depending on my exercise. 3. What do you do for exercise? Started off with walking worked my way upto 4 miles a day 6 days a week but lately I've been phasing back into DVD work. My favoites being Turbo Jam, Step Aerobics (Beginger) etc. 4. What is one area you struggle with? Sugary Carbs... but I'm okay as long as I keep them out of the house and only have a treat now and then. If there is a package of cookies in the house I would end up eating the whole thing. That and Drinking all my Water! 5. Tell us something about yourself that you are most proud of...and it cant be kids or family. My Artwork... I mainly do handbound blank books with assemblage type covers. I was shocked and thrilled when people liked my work enough to buy it. That... and I'm proud of losing over 40lbs so far. 6. Where are you from? PA originally... now a Chicago girl. 7. What is your FS4 challenge goal? 20-30lbs but I'm aiming for 25. |

I get bored easily so here is my variety: walking on my treadmill, walking outside, stability ball exercises, pilates, yoga, taebo, tbl dvds, urban rebounder. I have a membership to Bally's. I can't even remember the last time I've been there. 4. What is one area you struggle with? Just like Melissa--water & exercise 5. Tell us something about yourself that you are most proud of...and it cant be kids or family. This one is intangiable. The ability to always be me no matter what. 6. Where are you from? Born in Florida but in Northern Virginia now 7. What is your FS4 challenge goal? 30lbs. I always aim high. |
Ann--I am actually suprised by how many people that are 4'11". Carmen Electra (? I think so), Jada Pinkett Smith, and Lil Kim.
Melissa--I like Bob so much I don't even like to do the Kim leadworkouts on the dvd. |

likenoother...I dont either!!! I did Kim's workout on the 2nd dvd once, and yes it was a good workout but I'm sorry the eyecandy with bob just makes it all that better of a workout, plus I just love his attitude. |

That I have been able to get back on the low carb wagon ( which I LOVE so much) despite all the lack of support from others. Oh, and while I'm at it???? The mere fact that I didn't strangle or maime any one of the mgrs I worked with in my last 2 weeks of employment. :D |

Not consuming enough water. I just can't get myself to drink more than a glass a day. 5. Tell us something about yourself that you are most proud of...and it cant be kids or family. I'm going back to college in the spring after a long hiatus because of money problems. I know it's not much, but affording something like this is something I am proud of. 6. Where are you from? *optional* I currently live in North Carolina. 7. What is your FS4 challenge goal? I think 20lbs is a decent goal, although more would be wonderful. |

Back to school is awesome. I wish I had the guts to do it... well you know what it's not just that I probably would if I knew what they heck I wanted to do, but I don't. I have a BA but it's not really worth too much in today's job market.
So how is everyones kick-off going for the challenge? Ironically since I worked out like a mad woman this week (386 mins!) I'm taking today off because I've been going at it pretty hard. Although, I am going to a concert tonight so I'll try and move my butt there a wee bit. My first offical weigh in next week should be fairly good since it's really 2 weeks worth of weight and the week before I was holding TOM water weight. Hope everyones first day is going well! GO red! (Can we adopt Bob as a red-mascot I agree on the not big on "kim" thing) :) |
Well no offense to Kim lovers but I'd say that Bob is definetly our mascot! LOL! hey...I'm good with 3 mascots if we need em for Kim and Jillian lovers too!
