Anyways I just thought I would pop in and explain why I am so proud of myself tonight!! I ran 2.5 miles tonight with out stopping!!!! I am signed up for a 5K in October and I was worried I wasn't gonna be able to do it but now I have no doubt in my mind that I can! Woohoo!!! |
Bee - rock! Thats awesome. I want to start running soon but afraid to hurt my knees so I'm going to wait until after Christmas.

I feel great today. I did a Slim in 6 workout and was reminded on how those workouts kick my butt. I may end up doing a Turbo Jam workout tonight if I have the time. I'm trying to step it up this challenge and not let my teammates down this time. |

Good Morning everyone!!! Ready to have another fantastic day? Looks to me like everyone is off to a smashing start!! I know I've been totally on plan and even getting in my exercise. Fighting the water but I'm working on it!!
I felt like I over ate a little last night, nothing off plan but still. And this morning I talked myself out of stepping on the scale...it was hard but I won!!! My goal is to stay off that darn thing till Friday morning when its my weigh in time! Today is my busy day with classes and we have an open house at my oldest daughters school so I may be MIA a bit today, just know that I'm thinking of you all and wishing you the best day today with your plan and all your goals you want to reach. I'm riding my bike to class again today, that will be what I'm doing for my team again today!! What are you going to do for the team?? Have a wonderful day!! |

Good Morning Red Team!!!!!!!! Gotta make it short today, it's a busy day for me, with errands and grocery shopping to do. Again, it promises to be another HOT day here...108. I am SO ready for Fall & Winter...well, what we get of it anyways! lol Can you really count 60 degree weather as Winter? :dizzy:

Well I finally did it. I EXERCISED!!! Not yesterday but I did this morning. Thirty minutes of stability ball & weights. I did abs and upper body exercises. I'm not quite certain about tomorrow but at least again on Thursday and Saturday.

Likenoother - Congrats. Was it with a DVD or just on your own? I have a ball but I don't end up using it much... I should have the turbo jam ball workouts by next week though so maybe I'll use it more.

My own exercises but at some point I will use it with BL 2 workout. Now that you mentioned Turbo Jam I will look into those workouts too.

Good Afternoon everyone!!! Well a lul in my day, its dinner time soon and then its off to my oldest's school for open house. Which really stinks because its right when BL and BB are! And I only can record one show at at time! Oh the dilemma!! LOL!! Yes I'm a tv addict!
You'll all be proud to know that I DID ride my bike to school again today. Despite it being very very smoky out which makes it really hard to breathe, but i did it anyway! Still on plan! Still fighting headaches though, but not nearly as bad as the weekend...oh detox from sugar is NOT fun!! I hope everyone is having a wonderful day!! did you see we have a Black team forming? |

I think its exciting about the black team because it's just like the show. They thought they were going home and they still get to compete. I still have two more bottles of water to drink. So excited about the show tonight. My bf didn't want anything special for his b-day-- like going out to dinner --besides his gift so I will get to watch the show. He doesn't care anything about it so I will have shut him up a few times but I can't wait.

hey that is really cool! They all thought they didnt get to compete because they didnt meet the deadlines and lo and behold they actually do! LOL! Granted its on their own but thats okay! I'm really excited for tonight!

I have been out of it today. I think the temp change did a number on me. I woke up with a fever, running nose & cough. :( But'll be ok. taking meds and hopefully it'll knock it right out of me! |

Hey Red team! I watched the whole TBl show tonight, that definitely motivated me to keep the snacking under control!
Good job to everyone who exercised! It's finally starting to cool off here in Iowa, so I took my girlie in her stroller and we did a nice walk by the river. Just for you guys, I'm going to go do weights now. AmberD - trying eating a salad before anything else. I usually get tired of chewing through all that lettuce and then I eat less of my entree. Good Evening Everyone. What did I do for my team today? I did a Crunch DVD and did pilates along with keeping my calories in check. Tomorrow I plan on doing my jogging/walking combo. I just got my new Fitness mag and can't wait to hop on the treadmill to read it. Tomorrow evening we are going to Old Chicago for supper, so calories will be up, but I'll adjust the rest of the week to compensate. Have a great night.

I just finished doing a Turbo Jam DVD. I'm proud of myself that I did an AM and a PM workout. I also took my dog out for a nice walk earlier. Now to see if I can repeat it all tomorrow.

2. What eating plan are you using? I'm not sure yet, but I'm either going to do low-cal or low-carb. I'm just trying to just overall eat more healthy foods and not eat junk. 3. What do you do for exercise? Running (i'm training for a half-marathon in October) and Weights. 4. What is one area you struggle with? Diet. I'm good with working out, but I have a tendency to eat junk. 5. Tell us something about yourself that you are most proud of...and it cant be kids or family. These days I'm proud of my motivation to train for my half-marathon. Although my speed is really really slow, I'm just happy I am out there trying to be active. 6. Where are you from? I'm from California. Orange County to be exact. 7. What is your FS4 challenge goal? I'll aim for 15-20 lbs, but if not that, I want to at least loose some inches. Good luck to everyone. What did I do for my team today? I did great on eating healthy and stayed away from junk food. I got released from the dr. (yesterday) so now I can start exercising again! Today I did WATP 2 mile.
I also got to watch the biggest loser a big motivator. |

Busy day for me yesterday!! I didnt get a chance to watch all of BL yet, just the last 15 minutes to see who they voted off, the rest is on tape. I saw a preview last night for BL and I'm sorry I REALLY do not like how Jillian is talking to her black team. I find it extremely offensive to get someone to say...they didnt want me because I'm not strong enough. I hope that was just edited badly!
I will be on my rear end alot today doing homework, but I WILL ride my bike to campus for you again today...despite the smoke! Nothing can get me down right! I'm doing really great on plan! Its hard with the low carb eating to not get on myself for over eating. I think I'm PMSing so the last 2 days I've had that bottomless pit feeling. Friday is my first official weigh in on this plan...cant wait!! So keep on rocking girls!! Everyone is kicking some serious butt!! We have 3 teammates who have yet to check in with us! I hope that doesnt mean we lost them already. Cant wait to hear all the amazing things the RED TEAM accomplishes today!!! |

I watched the last 20 minutes of TBL, so I didn't really get to see Jillian and her team. I really like the secret black team idea. It makes me wonder what else that show has planned. |

Wow, all this exercising and eating right, it's AWESOME!!!!! The enthusiasm we have now is fantastic, ladies when you start to feel yourself slowing down, remember that feeling and strive for it. WE CAN DO THIS! :carrot: :carrot: What can I say, BL was inspirational. Seeing Bob again, was of course the highlight of my night :D...but, I could not believe some of those weigh-ins! 20 freakin pounds in 1 week! Is that even healthy???? Totally motivational tho, just goes to show ANYONE can do this if they put their mind to it! Ah Jillian, what can I say? I think she gets a bad rap, I think producers use her as the villain and the editing, sheesh! When they mentioned "revenge" in the trailer before the show aired, then they said it again last night, saying it was the black team's revenge, I think the editing for that was just to get people to tune in, no? I do agree that I would probably not respond to the in-your-face type of training like she does, but boy does she get results on the scale. I think it's a YMMV (your mileage may vary) typa thing, certain people will flourish with it, others wont. Her book is fabulous BTW, clear, consise, I just couldn't follow her eating plan...too complex for me, too much counting! :lol: What I did for my team yesterday: I ate clean, drank 100 oz of water, and did a 2mile WATP dvd.
