Thanks girls!! We love Halloween around here but I'm glad its over! The candy wont get to me so much once I detox. Diva...I gotta wait till tomorrow because i didnt get to the store last night so I have nothing for breakfast or snacks. I dont even have cream for my coffee!!! Tomorrow for SURE! I'll just be a day behind you!

We walked for 1.5 hours last night! Ugh, my lower back and my hips hurt so bad! Thats why I didnt get to the store I just had to sit! Should make up for the pizza we had for dinner though!!!

Got myself all freaked out all night because I went to bed watching Ghost Hunters Live and Most Haunted Live so I kept thinking I was hearing things literally at 2am I could have sworn someone was running up and down our sidewalk and smashing our jackolanters. So...didnt sleep well! LOL! Silly!

Okay I'm so late today! I better scoot! Okay girls 3 weeks to earn some Turkeys! I'm ready! Even though I'm not gonna be doing lowcarb today I'm gonna eat very good! My body needs it I feel like crap! So here's the menu:

Breakfast - oatmeal, gingerbread latte(my farewell to sugar treat!)
snack - 100 calorie snack pack
lunch - vegetable beef soup
snack - maybe popcorn
dinner - sloppy joe and a BIG ol salad!
snack - 1/2 c pumpkin icecream

Have a wonderful day everyone!! Dream...I think that is a fantastic idea putting your monthly goals out there, I'm gonna think on that today and post mine tomorrow!!

Once you put the taco mix in the turkey you forget it's turkey.

Hun your costumes were great!

I actually didn't give out candy this year which made me a bit sad, but I had to work and last year when I was losing weight I did really bad with it in the house and just didn't want to take that chance right now.

When I planned my food yesterday I didn't put in any exercise and I went about 100 calories over my "To Lose 2 Pounds" goal, but then I forgot I actually did walk to Starbucks which is a mile each way so I ended up in the green for the day. I forgot I exercised! For some reason I find that funny.

My weight was quite down again today but I think I'm dehydrated, so I'm not expecting that number to stick, but I am seeing 3's in my numbers now which makes me really really happy.

Ok off to work. Only 3 more work days until my first show!

Shay 11-01-2007 01:27 PM

Really no candy issues for me for several reasons. I don't have kids so that helps and I don't give out candy except to the preschool program at work. I buy the candy that day and give it all out. At home I live in a set of mid rise condos. So the kids aren't running up and down the halls and up & down in the elevators they give the candy out in one specific building in one of the party rooms. So that works for me so I'm not tempted.

For the past few weeks I've been watching some starter kits on e-bay for WW. Its time to replace what I have. I set a budget for any item I bid on and if it goes past that budget I delete it off my list. Needless to say the kits have been out of my set budget. I'm hoping this is the week. I missed one last night by 50 cents.

Today's menu
BF--oatmeal, yogurt, coffee with sf flavored creamer
S--raisins
L--LC Panini with sf jello
S--100 calorie chocolate
S--100 calorie pack
D--tamale with steamed veggies

WW--26 pts

Idealmuse 11-01-2007 03:43 PM

What's in the kits Like?

Diva 11-01-2007 05:31 PM

Hi everyone. I was going to try to do the full fledged induction(sp) thing, but decided to ease into this thing would work better for me. There's NO way I can get through a day @ only 20 carbs. Not right now anyways. At least not until I finish the book and get a better understanding of this and of the foods available to me. lol! :D So far today I've only had 39 so that's not so bad considering I usually consume about 200 to 400 a day. I am thinking for dinner it's gonna be Fish and salad.
Hugs all.

Shay 11-01-2007 07:32 PM

Muse--Several people have different kits. Generally they have the dining out companion, food companion, journal, calculator, lunch bag, and Meals 101. Some don't include the calculator. I'm concentrating on the ones that include the calculator.

I was having a fit because my wireless router wasn't working. I was making a big fuss I was still connected to the internet but I didn't have the freedom to move around for about 45 minutes. It drove me crazy. I find that extremely funny because it took me until this year to get a laptop, broadband, and go wireless. Now I'm addicted to the ability to move my computer around in my apt and still be connected.

Hi all , congrats on the win. I've been lurking here a lot just not posting for some reason. I started fitday today and I was shocked at the nutritional value of the foods i have been eating. I couldn't believe at the carbs i have been eating. A real eye opener for sure. 57 grams of fat and 115 carbs. What? How could that be I thought I was eating healthy. Sheesh. 1068 calories but gosh how in the world am I going to cut down on fat and carbs.
Heres what i had today.

Morning : Apple, Banana, 4tablespoons of Whipped topping, 1 tablespoon of jif to go peanut butter

Dinner: tyson chicken fillet 1 tablespoon of Canola oil 1/4 cup of velvetta cheese 2cups of Lettuce,

afternoon snack : nestle hot chocholate
vitiman
fish oil tablets

Totals 1068 calories
57 grams of fat 115 carbohydrates and 37 protein

Diva 11-01-2007 10:35 PM

LOL Just! That's what I said when I went to the store today. I was so sure I could do this Atkins thing, then I got to reading lables and whatnot and there was really nothing I could get or afford to get that didn't have carbs! I don't know how in the **** peeps can get by on only 20 a day. There's freaking carbs in EVERYTHING! We aren't rich enuff for me to buy a bunch of seperate foods than the rest of the family so I am going to have to modify this situation and just cut my intake at least by half or less, be smart, eat healthy and exercise, continue counting my calories and hope for the best.

My doc told me to only aim for 4 lbs a month, eat 2000 calories a day and aim for 300 carbs a day! I was like whatever dude, I can do that an maintian my fat figure. I am trying to LOSE here! So I am going for 1000 to 1500 calories a day and no more than 150 carbs. Hopefully I can get that down to no more than 100 and less and less as I go.

Sorry Mel. I can't do the 20 carbs a day thing. :( I'd be living on meat, eggs, cheese, and salad...I need more than that.

Shay 11-02-2007 12:56 AM

Hey ladies,
Not like I'm an expert or anything but 1000 calories a day is not enough. I think most would recommend 1200 calories as a minimum. At 1000 calories your body will think it is starving and store everything it gets as fat. It goes into survival mode. It will stall weight loss.

Shay 11-02-2007 06:58 AM

Good morning,
BF--cereal, soymilk, yogurt, coffee with sf flavored creamer
S--yogurt
L--ww bun, veggie burger, cheese, 100 calorie pack
S--sf jello
S--mini crackers
D--7 pts

WW--26 pts

dream710 11-02-2007 07:32 AM

Good morning, I agree with Shay 1000 calories is not enough. I would suggest maybe starting with a 1400-1600 calorie range. Try it for a few weeks, if you are losing at that stay in that range, if thats not working lower it a bit. Like Shay said you go too low and your body will go in survival mode and you won't lose anything. I'm a calorie counter, and try and stick to the 1400-1600 calorie range, some days I am above goal and sometimes I'm below, but I look at the weeks average to determine if I'm on track.

Menu:

Breakfast: Go Lean Hot Cereal and 1 cup of milk
Snack: WW Amaretto Yogurt with 1/4 cup bran buds
Lunch: Smart Ones Santa Fe Beans and Rice
Snack: HoneyCrisp Apple
Supper: Going out to eat

Everyone Have a great day

Bridgette.

Diva 11-02-2007 08:36 AM

Good morning girls. :)

Very rarely do I actually make the 1000 mark. Usually it's between 1300 to 1550. If I go any higher than 1600 I do not lose weight, plus I have to exercise at least 30 minutes a day for anything to melt away. It's very hard for me to lose due to the med's I have to take for asthma & diabetes. For the past 4 days I have kept it to 1370 to 1550, and I reduced my carbs by half and surprisingly enuff, I have dropped 3 poiunds since Monday. :carrot:
I know I shouldn't weigh myself more than once a week, it's a problem for me, lol! But I was feeling lighter so I did it. :) I'm not going to log it into the Weight thread until Monday tho cuz maybe I'll lose more by then...Finger's crossed.

Hun.e.B 11-02-2007 10:58 AM

Good Morning lovelies!! Well after 2 weeks of not working towards my goals and not working for my team I'm back! Just had the best breakfast of scrambled eggs, lil cheese and some ham...oh so yummy! And my Chocolate Velvet coffee. Feels good! Through all the chocolate and stuff I shouldnt be eating I managed to maintain...how? I dunno but I'll take it!! Hopefully I'll be able to post a loss come monday though. I am back in control!

Gonna figure in a couple of trips to the gym this weekend too. I've got a big tax exam on tuesday so thats ALL I'm gonna do from now till I go take the exam so I think a couple workouts in there will bring some stress release.

So here's the menu for today then I need to go see how everyone is doing

Breakfast: scrambled eggs, cheese, ham, coffee w/ cream & Splenda
Lunch: hamburger w/ lettuce, pickles and tomato (no bun)
Dinner: Chicken alfredo w/ broccoli
Snacks: probably some pepperonis with articoke/jalapeno dip, bonbel cheese, hard boiled egg

=24 carbs if I have all the snacks

Have a wonderful day Red team!!

chellez 11-02-2007 11:02 AM

Hey Red Team!

Need to ask you all a huge favor.... I'm not sure if you've seen the Survey that's stickied at the top of this forum, but its for a project I'm doing at school. I still need about 15 people to respond before Sunday night.

If you haven't had a chance to fill it out and pm it to me pretty please do so before November 4th!

Thanks! ;)

Hun.e.B 11-02-2007 11:13 AM

Muse...you are making healthy habits like walking such a part of your life you dont even count them as exercise anymore! LOL!! Good for you!! Cant wait to hear how your show went!! Good luck!

Justgetitdone...good to see you! I wish you wouldnt lurk and would jump in with your team! I dont think that you so much need to cut down on your carbs, unless you are doing low carb if anything you need to add some more good carbs like veggies and whole grains. Your calories are pretty low.

Diva...I do 20-25 carbs, its been pretty easy for me (I'll put my menu in fitday as soon as I'm done posting and let you know what I end up with today). You just gotta stay out of the middle aisles in the store. Shop around the perimeter in the dairy, meat and veggies. Thats where you find the low carb stuff. In my opinion you cant do lowcarb the right way looking for processed foods. But, low carb isnt for everyone you gotta find what fits you and your life. Way to go on being down 3!!! See something is already working for ya! I have a TERRIBLE habit of weighing myself daily. Maybe we should do a challenge to see who can go all week without getting on it! LOL!

Shay you are absolutely right 1000 calories is WAY too low. I think even 1200 is pretty darn low and when I did that I was STARVED all day which let to overeating. Its hard for people to remember that you HAVE to eat to lose weight. Its a hard concept to grasp. Your menu looks great btw! Oh veggie burgurs, when I did Fat Smash I found some Morning Star ones that were so good! I could eat those puppies like snacks. Very tasty.

Bridgette...I totally forgot to copy you and think about my monthly goals! Menu looks fantastic today! Amaretto yogurt..YUM!! I dont think I've ever seen that around here!

Okay time for me to hit the books!

LMAO! THAT there sounds like a plan! It is SOOOOOO hard for me not weigh myself everyday, but I usually end up discouraged. I did better this week. I haven't gotten on since Monday until this morning...that's something, lol!

I did buy lots of veggies, cheese, eggs, meats, Salad, and some protein snacks and those lil' 100 calorie packs. I really do wanna cut the carbs as much as possible, but there will be some day's that are higher than others. So far so good, and I haven't really felt hungry. I had tons of energy this moring during my workout out and threw in some arms and chest exercises w/the weights. This is a good thing because me and energy usually do not go together. :) My arms are shaking I worked them so hard. I can't believe I lost 3 lbs. We even had Speghetti last night. But instead of a big ole' plate like I normally do, I got the whole wheat pasta, and only had 1 cup, with a lil' sauce, and a cup of veggies. It was lish. :)

Today I did:

WATP 2 miles (Jogged during the marching parts)
5 minutes abs
10 minutes or so on Arms and chest

Menu:

B-2 egg & Cheese omelette
3 sausage links
coffee- Splenda and cream

L- Salad w/Chicken & Ranch

S- Protein Bar (peanut butter)

D- Fish & Veggies

Diva 11-02-2007 01:02 PM

BTW, Have any of you ever seen this site? it has lots of Low carb foods. Soem of it is pricey, but I am thinking about ordering some stuff.
http://www25.netrition.com/low_carb_products_page.html

LeedaRenee 11-02-2007 01:25 PM

Hmm, I would fail that challenge. lol. Weighing myself everyday is a part of my weight loss plan...at least for now.

Very stressed out right now...will write more later, just checking in.

Shay 11-02-2007 01:29 PM

Diva--Congrats on 3lbs. I'm an everyday weigher myself. I really think its okay if you don't let the ups & downs throughout the week to get to you.

Melissa--I love Morning Star and Boca veggie stuff. My BF is in love with Morning Star's breakfast sausage links. Many of their things are 1pt so that definitely works for me for WW. I would so fail the not getting on the scale for a week challenge. I would go crazy!

Hun.e.B 11-02-2007 01:44 PM

Diva there are tons of products out there like that. None of them interest me because lowcarb is not something I could do as a lifestyle. And I dont think its healthy long term either. I keep it plain and simple for induction and then I'm gonna be adding back whole foods. My goal in doing it this way is simply to cut out sugar and processed foods (ie: flours). I think there are even healthier ways of detoxing they just dont work for me, this one does so I'll stick to it.

I do however want to get some liquid "splenda" its pricey! I'm too chicken to try Stevia because I hear so much about aftertaste and bitterness.

~melissa

Hun.e.B 11-02-2007 01:45 PM

Leeda...I'm sorry you are stressed! If you need to vent go for it!!

~melissa

Idealmuse 11-02-2007 05:44 PM

1000-1200 is definitely hard to do long term and not so great for the body, I have to admit I'm biased though because the last time I did that I had gallbladder stones and oh my those hurt like nothing else. Don't want a repeat of that no thank you... which is why I'm willing to work my *** off 6 days a week so I can eat more like 1600-1700 a day.

115 carbs really is pretty moderate unless you have a serious carb issue or are on strict Atkins I wouldn't worry about it too much, as long as they are the healthier carbs and not say snickers bars. At 1000 calories ALL of your food has to be nutritious. With more calories you have more flexibility for treats.

Hun.e.B 11-02-2007 08:32 PM

Muse...I've had those gallstones myself and I wouldnt wish that on my worst enemy..well maybe my MIL..JK! LOL! But I got mine after doing very lowcal too. No thank you!

We've got 2 extra 12 year olds tonight...jealous arent you! UGH!! That and my 8 year old cant seem to stop crying, she's too young to be putting me through this hormonal crap!! gonna be a long night can ya tell LOL!

Have a wonderful night everyone!

Hi, All

According to fitday I came in at 735 calories today , 38 fat, 66 carb, and 32 protein. I feel as though I have eatten all day.

breafast : 1 98% klondike slim a bear icecream and coffee (black)

lunch: 2 egg omlett with 1/4 cup of cheese, onions and peppers

dinner: a oven roasted turkey breast sandwich on heiners 35 calorie bread, 1 slice of 2% american cheese, onion, tomatoe and mustard.

snack: 2 little debbie marshmellow cakes.

I know not the best nutritional values lol but it was what i was craving and it filled me up so....

For anyone who hasn't tried the klondike slim a bears they are delicious and only 100 calories.

Hun e.b. Thanks, I will try to post more. I'm not really trying to be low on calories its just all that I wanted for the day. I would like to lower my carbs though. Isn't gallstones caused by calcium, thats what I have always heard lol.

Diva: We must be a lot alike lol. I read your posts and its like I could have written them lol Good job on the weight loss:carrot: I'm waiting till monday to weight. just because I'm chicken to do it now lol

I love reading everyones menus. I think thats why I was craving eggs today. lol I also picked up some boco burgers while I was at the store today I love the flame grilled ones. I had totally forgetten how good these were.

Idealmuse 11-03-2007 12:46 AM

Gallstones are more about a super-lowfat diet. Normally low-fat alone is fine because you're taking in enough calories that you usually get enough fat to get the gallbladder used. If the Bile just sits there unused it forms the stones.

Many people on VLC diets can get gallstones if they are prone to it and their fat intake is low. This is one of the reasons I convinced myself that upping healthy fats to 20-25 percent is OK. I know that's still low but I have borderline cholesterol so I worry about adding too much in.

The "Attacks" ironically are brought on by high-fat meals. Because it kicks the gallbladder into action and those stones get stuck and that's what causes the awful pain. People tell me it's like childbirth. Mine was so bad one day we went to the ER I could barely move.

So yeah no more low calorie for me.

Just - You really don't want to go under 1000 calories even if your not hungry. One or two days won't hurt, but you'll slow your metabolism if it becomes habit, and make things harder for yourself in the long run. If your not hungry try some natural PB on an apple/celery/wholegraintoast. PB is good for you (healthy fats) and you can knock up a few extra hundred calories.. or nuts even. Pick something you don't have issues with. High density calories won't fill you up so you won't feel stuffed. We just want to see you succeed is all. Sorry if I'm out of line at all.

Hun.e.B 11-03-2007 11:21 AM

Very well put Muse. Going super low calorie like that is just a very bad idea. Your body needs a certain amount of calories a day just to function. Just so your brain work, your lungs expand, your blood pumps. You need a certain amount of calories a day just to live. And when your body isnt getting those calories it starts to protect itself. You have 2 hormones in your body that start working against you, one is Leptin which actually you want working because it tells your body that you are full, when you dont eat enough calories your body stops producing leptin. The other is Ghrelin(sp?) when you arent eating enough calories your body makes more ghrelin which tells your body that you are hungry. So you got hormones working overtime to tell your body to eat eat eat and you are miserably hungry and then when you do eat your body holds on to every little thing for dear life because its not sure when its going to get more. So while you may think eating very low calorie is going to make you lose more weight...its not. Sure you'll lose weight in the beginning but the first thing your body is going to start burning is your lean muscle tissue. its going to hold the fat and burn the muscle.

What Muse said was right on, its so important to your overall health to make sure you are getting the calories your body needs to function so that these defense mechanisms dont kick in.

Like I said before its a hard concept to grasp but you HAVE to eat to lose.

Okay off my soapbox...I had a great day yesterday eating wise. Feels good to be in control! Today should be another great day. Still studying for that tax exam I wonder how many calories get burned with brain power? LOL!

Okay menu for today:
Breakfast: scrambled egg w/ cheese, coffee with cream & splenda
Lunch: Salad w/ romaine, shred cheese, bacon, chicken, tomatoes, ranch
dinner: pizza baked chicken
snacks: bonbel cheese, cucumbers w/ ranch

I need to work on getting more water today too. My fingers are all puffy today.

Have a beautiful Saturday everyone!

~melissa

Hun.e.B 11-03-2007 11:23 AM

I forgot to add my comment on gallstones being like childbirth. The first attack I got I thought I was having a heart attack, dh called 911 and the ambulance had to come take me to the ER where I got a shot of Morphine for the pain. These little suckers HURT! and they can be as small as a grain of sand but once they get moving into that duct watch out!! Just my little warning about doing very low calorie and very low fat.

~melissa

Diva 11-03-2007 11:56 AM

Good Saturday morning everyone!

I grabbed a banana real quick this morning because I was starving and hadn't had a chance to get breakfast yet. OMG! I couldn't believe how many carbs in 1 small Banana! Mel, it takes up all your carbs for a day! :?: Also, I think you are so smart. :)

just: Wow, less than 900 calories? I might fall over and die! LOL! Please try to get more in that than gf. :dizzy: At the least 1000 but like they say here you don't want your body thinking it is starving because then it'll hold onto your weight for der life! I usually stay between 1350 - 1550...Sometimes a little more depending on the day.

Gall stones. OMG! I had my gallbladder ripped out in my late 20's. I don't remember what I was eating or any of that, all I remember is the PAIN and the fact that even after it was removed I couldn't eat like a normal person for about 9 months. I was even 50 lbs lighter then...

Have a great day all! we are al done shopping and running around. G\onna atch Football and I'll prolly give Dud e amuch needed haircut. :)

Hun.e.B 11-03-2007 12:06 PM

LOL..why thank you Diva! When I first went to school I was going for Nutritionist, but then I found out that my university doesnt have an RD (registered dietician) program so I would have had to transfer for my junior and senior year and then do an out of state internship for 6-18 months..well thats just not doable with 2 young girls. So I switched to accounting, but i did get a wealth of information in that program! I would love to have been able to finish!

I just ordered myself some sugarfree gingerbread and sugarfree irish creme syrups from Davinci..I cant wait!! gingerbread lattes are my FAVE, and I dont get them doing LC, plus even when I switch over to not LC the sugarfree is so much better for me! LOL!! I'm excited!

just get it done 11-03-2007 02:29 PM

Hi! All!

Hun e.b., diva, muse, thanks so much for caring! No, I'm not offended in the least with your comments, I really appreciate them and it gives me much to consider. Last nite after I posted I did a search on google about how many grams of carbs I should be eating and the site I went to said that we need at least 150 carbs a day for our brain to function properly. It said that we should lose weight on this amount also , so I'm not as worried about them anymore because thats doable for me. I also did a search on how many calories and they said if I understood it correctly that I needed 2411 calories a day to maintain my current weight . So I entered the weight that I desire to be and that brought me to 1500 calories to maintain that weight. So I defintely we consider that. I was also very pleased that my sodium levels was low . I love fitday. The American Heart Association recommends that we should eat no more than 300 milligrams of cholesterol a day to maintain a healthy diet. Mine is averageing around 360. So, I know I need to watch that. Without my vitamins I would be no where close to getting what I need.

Here's a question for ya. If your body was going into stravation mode , would you feel hungry?

Hun.e.B 11-03-2007 03:04 PM

Not necessarily. Starvation mode is kind of just a figure of speech when used in the context of dieting when you are eating like you should be. Starvation is something your body goes into when not eating for several days. But if your body does go into "starvation mode" your metabolism slows way down, so you arent burning as fast as you normally would be. In weightloss we want to be burning faster. Plus you are burning muscle and not fat. so you might not necessarily feel hungry, but it could be a good sign.

another thing with feeling hungry...you have to decide if its true hunger. If you arent properly hydrated, you will have that "hungry" feeling when you just need some fluids. That "hungry" feeling can also be a psychological thing when you know you are dieting. If your hormone levels arent where they should be, that ghrelin kicks in and makes you feel hungry.

Hunger is a tricky lil devil and takes alot of knowing you are eating enough and listening to your body. Thats why they say drink a glass of water and wait 20 minutes when you think you feel hungry. Unless of course you havent eaten LOL!

Sorry IMO there wasnt a straight forward answer there.

~melissa

Shay 11-03-2007 03:37 PM

We are getting an education on here today! Loving it. Here's a thought for you Melissa. After getting that degree in accounting...wait isn't it a double major in psych too? You could so do life coaching or lifestyle coaching...with the acct to run and start the business, psych and nutrition background to help people with making changes. Just a thought. Or you could team up with someone. I think you would be great at it. Oh yes, I think you answered the question--"not necessarily".

Okay so my BF keeps taking me to this great Vegetarian Restaurant. Matter of fact it was just voted onto the Top 50 Places to eat in the DC Metro area. Anyways so this time I got General Tso's "Chicken". It was so good. Normally I would only eat half but I ate the whole thing this time. Oh well, weigh in wise I think I will still be fine.

Today's Menu
BF--2 banana waffles, yogurt, coffee, sf flavored creamer
S--blueberry cottage cheese double
L--beef tamale, yogurt
S--100 calorie chocolate
S--sf pudding
D--chicken parmesan

WW--26+3 flex pts=29 pts

Hun.e.B 11-03-2007 04:16 PM

LOL Shay, yes its psych too, you know I would love to do something like that. Not a huge call for it in Montana though. I LOVE General Tso's chicken. YUMMY! I've often wanted to try to make my own sauce so i can do it at home and do it a little healthier but just never got brave enough to try. Speaking of vegetarian, I recently saw something, I wanna say that it was on Food Network, anyway the host was going around getting "Halloween" recipes and he was visiting a vegetarian cook, she did a Goulash with this stuff she made that was basically bread but kneeded under running water it was called Seitan I think. It really interested me. Was that the type of "chicken" you had or was it Tofu?

Shay 11-03-2007 06:32 PM

"Soy protein"? Whatever that is-- it is good. That's what was used in the Curry Surprise or Supreme, can't remember, I had a few weeks ago too.

Good Sunday morning!! Did everyone remember to set their clocks back? Not much in store for me today besides football and studying tax. I've been experimenting again. When I used to live in Phoenix there was this chinese food place there called Dragon Palace that had the most amazing chicken called House Special Chicken. It was just chicken in this brown/ginger broth...I was addicted. But noone around here has anything like it. So I've been experimenting and I think I may have figured out the sauce! Last night it was so close, just not quite right. And the great thing is even if I'm not low carbing I can have it!!! Once I figure that sauce out anyway LOL!

I woke up early and couldnt get back to sleep worrying about Danielle. I havent heard from her in weeks and I emailed her about her family (her family lives in San Diego and thats where some of the fires were) anyway, I havent heard anything back so I got to worrying about her this morning. Danielle if ya just happen to lurk...EMAIL ME BACK!!

Here's my menu for today:
Breakfast - scrambled eggs w/ ham and cheese, cinnamon/hazlenut coffee w/ cream and Splenda
snack - 3 sausage links
Lunch - hot sauce chicken, cucumbers w/ ranch
snack - celery w/ chive cream cheese
Dinner - Another attempt at house special small romaine salad

more water!!!

Shay...way to go on your loss!!!! You are just cruisin along arent you..so exciting!! I'm going to be right there with you picking up the exercise this week. I cant do C25K but I will be getting on that elliptical for 30 minutes every morning this week. Then I want to hit the gym 3x.

Alright, i better stick my nose in the books! Have a lovely day everyone!

Like, I noticed you are having Soy Milk. Can you please tell me the benefits of soy milk and how it tatse? I know it's suposed be be good for us, but in what way? How does it taste? I LOVE my 2% milk. I am addicted to it like smokers are their ciggies! It is a bit procey, and I don't wanna watse money on it if I am gonna hate it. Also, is the vanilla better than the reg? Okay, back to foosball.

Diva--The main reason I do soymilk is bc it is better for my body. Since I was a baby I've had problems with milk. I've always been a skim milk drinker but over the past few years my body can barely tolerate that. My brother is fully lactose intolerant. My mom has trouble with milk, she does soy now, and yogurts which she just had to give up. My main issue is milk. So I began drinking soymilk. For me personally I like the vanilla better. I actually do vanilla light. I am not good at describing anything. To me soymilk is an acquired taste. I just recently actually began drinking it out of a cup . Normally I just use it on cereal. To me the consistency is thicker than regular milk but I've only ever had skim milk so I don't know.

K, Thank you like. I may try it eventually, lol! It's suposed to be good for women going through or past the change, but I wouldn't know yet. I am still being punished with TOM, LOL!

Well, what a disappointing morning...I got on the scale and I'm up a pound :(. Not only that but I managed to hurt my neck this weekend. How I don't know, but yesterday I could barely move it side to side and today its still really sore, so no exercising yesterday and so far none today. I hope its better by tonight or its gonna be really painful bowling. Yesterday I did a little grocery shopping to stock up on a few healthy items so this week is gonna be much better.

Diva congrats on the 4 lbs. :carrot: I'm glad the lc is working for ya. As for soy milk I think they've improved it over the years. I tried it a long time ago and it was really gritty. Now its much better. I usually use it fruit smoothies, on cold or hot cereal, and sometimes I just drink it but not very often.

Melissa: Sorry your team had a disappointing loss. But on the other hand I was really glad to see my LIONS WIN :D. I wasn't very happy when they changed the game at the 4th quarter, but I suppose gotta keep the viewers interested.

menu:

breakfast: 2 cups all bran yogurt bites w/ 1 cup milk
snack:WW key lime yogurt
lunch Smart Ones santa fe beans and rice
snack: banana
supper 2 veggie dogs with wheat buns
