Yay Diva!!! Excellent job girl!! 4 lbs is fantastic!!!!

Brigette...oh lord lets not talk about that game...how embarrassing! LOL! I couldnt even watch after awhile just stuck my nose in my tax book. We have the Sunday ticket so we dont have to deal with those game switches, although yesterday I dont think I would have been too upset if they had LOL! Not to worry about the lb. I think with injuries our body tends to retain a little fluid to cushion the joints. Dont stress on it. I hope your neck is better soon!!

Well I was down 2 lbs since friday..yay! I'll take it! Gonna kick it up today though and get in some exercise hopefully. I've got a huge exam tomorrow so my day is going to be nothing but studying.

Here's my menu for today:
breakfast: scrambled eggs w/ cheese and ham, coffee
snack: cucumbers w/ ranch
lunch: chicken salad
snack: pepperonis
dinner: house special chicken w/ small salad

Time to rouse the troops! Dont forget to post weights!! Have a wonderful day! I'll be popping in on my study breaks!

~melissa

Diva 11-05-2007 09:15 AM

Yay Mel! 2 lbs is great!:carrot:

Dream, I hope your neck feels better soon. I hate when I hurt myself and I don't know how. Just rest your body and take some ibuprofens or whatever you can take. Will ice or heat help?

I'm gonna get some exercise in today too! Prolly WATP and then a abs & legs ball workout. Maybe some arms... I do have to run to the store for more chicken & veggies. :)

menu:
B-1 Slice extra Fiber wheat bread
1 tbsp peanut butter
1/2 banana
1/2 c. 2% Milk

S-
Deviled Egg

L-
Salad w/Cucumber & Ranch
4 oz steak.

S- Deviled egg x 2

D- Baked lemon pepper Fish & veggies

Yanno what's funny, The family is eating more veggies too and not even complaining. I have left out the potoatoes we normally eat, and they seem to be content with Corn, brusel spouts, & brocoli w/cheese. They did have a side of stove top last night, but I bypassed that altogether. i don't like it. :dizzy:

Idealmuse 11-05-2007 12:25 PM

Hi girls - lots of good discussion going on while I was away!

My show... well the traffic was horrible! I wouldn't be surprised if there were 50-100 people through the door. All things considered we did alright though, but certainly not what I'm used to... s'ok though I have another one in 2 weeks and that one last year was fabulous. (Cross Fingers)

I don't know what gives, but I'm down another 5. TWO weeks in a row? What the? I mean I'm not complaining, cause this never happens to me, but weired!

Anyway this means I'm firmly in the 230s! (Happy Dance)

Okay things to do this morning so I'm off to go enter my weight.

Congrats on the low carb working Diva.

Diva 11-05-2007 01:10 PM

OMG Muse! -5 more LBS!!! :carrot: That's totally awesome! You go girl and keep doing whatever it is you are doing!!!!

LawMomVeronica 11-05-2007 09:47 PM

Hey Red Team! Sorry to fall off the face of the earth there. Had a funeral and conferences for work and guilt for not exercising all going against me. I've been holding steady for the past two weeks and I'm okay with that, consider how OFF plan I've been. Here's to a better week this week!

Hun.e.B 11-05-2007 10:08 PM

less than 2 hours till deadline...have you posted your weight?

~melissa

dream710 11-06-2007 08:20 AM

Way to go to everyone that has lost this week! Well my neck was starting to feel better yesterday...until I went to bowling. Now its really sore again, which is not good since I bowl again tonight. I'm thinking about stopping at the store and seeing about icy hot patches or something. Anyways here's my menu for today:

Breakfast 1/2 cup egg beaters with 1 slice oven ready bacon, mushrooms, and a pinch of colby cheese
Snack: 1 cup grapefruit
Lunch: South Beach Pizza
Apple

Roasted Cauliflower

Diva 11-06-2007 01:45 PM

Where in the world is everybody today? http://i161.photobucket.com/albums/t...iley/Hmmmm.gif

Well, I am about to head to the store and then pick up the boy from school. Gotta carry him to the doc tomorrow. He fell on the playground @ school on Friday and has had a neck and headache everyday since then. I'm thinking he may have given himself whiplash. :( Not to mention he is having nose bleeds again. I think it is his sinuses because we are using the heater, and I did get a humidifier, but we didn't use the heater last night because it wasn't very cold, so I didn't turn on the humidifier either, so anyways, this moring I flipped on the heat to break the chill in the air, and his humidifer @ the same time, 5 minutes later he has a serious nose bleed. I mean it was so bad I could smell it, yanno? Anyways, I am worried, so to the doc we go tomorrow.... Such a pain tho because it takes an hour to get there, not to mention I have to keep the car which means I have to drive the BF to work, drive back home, head out the same way and beyound to the doc, bring the kid home and backtrack again to pick up the bf after work. I'll prolly be moody tomorrow, lol! I HATE driving.

I did get in some exercise today:
WATP 3 miles (47 min's) w/weights for upper body for about 20 minutes.

menu:
2 scambled eggs w/cheese
1 cup milk
1 piece of double fiber wheat taost w/butter

4 oz grilled porkchop
veggies
2 deviled eggs.

Grilled Chicken
veggies.

Shay 11-06-2007 01:59 PM

I'm here! It was such a needed boost to see that I have lost 17 lbs during this challenge and 19 since starting with 3FC. I am so struggling right now. I am a self sabatoger (sp?). I do really well for a few months then I just lose it. I'm trying to head myself off before doing some real damage. I start my running program today so hopefully that will get me in the right frame of mind. So its still early in the month so I am rededicating myself. I really need to work on drinking water. I struggle daily with it. Most days I don't drink any water. As soon as I get off the computer I am going to get me some water. I'm a member of the water club and only use it to make coffee. What a mess I am!

Shay 11-06-2007 02:10 PM

Oops. I forgot to post my menu for today:

BF--cottage cheese double, ww cinnamon raisin english muffin, coffee with sf flavored creamer
S--snackwells
L--Boston Market (1/4 rostisserie white w/o skin, garlic dill new potatoes, cornbread)--I forgot to bring lunch. I'm a mess.
S--100 calorie chocolate
S--100 calorie pack
D--7pts

WW--26+7 flex points=33 pts

Hun.e.B 11-06-2007 02:27 PM

Sorry I've been MIA today, I had a tax exam this morning and I was freaking out about it. Turned out easy schmeasy! Yay! But, I've got another class in 10 minutes so no time to chat! I'll check in on everyone when I get home!! Have a great day Red team!!

~melissa

chellez 11-06-2007 02:31 PM

Diva I feel your pain! The Blue Team is MIA today too... :(

Diva 11-06-2007 02:53 PM

Well hopefully we can all hook up tonight and watch Bob...Oh, I mean TBL! hehe.

Lemme tell ya, not to be crude but all these veggies are giving me
http://i161.photobucket.com/albums/t...miley/fart.gif:D

k, off to get the boy. :)

chellez 11-06-2007 03:02 PM

Well I'll be in class until the teacher says we can take a break then I'm heading out.

Is it 8:30 tonight or 9? I can't keep up with these crazy time changes.

PS: I didn't mail Bob yet... I'll probably do it tomorrow. :p

Diva 11-06-2007 03:57 PM

Girly it comes on @ 8 pm tonight. 2 hours of weight losing drama!

I better go announce this in the show thread for everyone!

Hun.e.B 11-06-2007 04:11 PM

I cant chat with everyone during the show because of the time difference...dont like to be spoiled! AND...I have PTA tonight so I have to record and watch later.

Diva...those veggies will get ya! LOL! The funny thing with me and lc is I dont have any of those gastro blues like I do with low calorie. On lowcal veggies HURT! and I get heartburn all the time. On lowcarb...no heartburn and no gas or abd. discomfort at all. Even when I have broccoli which is usually a for sure killer! LOL!

Okay, I've got to make lasagna dinner for 30 people tonight so I gotta get to costco. Plus figure out what I'm gonna eat. If its not one thing its another!

~melissa

just get it done 11-06-2007 06:55 PM

Hun.e.B 11-07-2007 01:52 AM

Okay, finished watching my recorded show! And I gotta say for the first time the most valuable info that I got was from Kim...yes I said Kim. I absolutely loved when she was talking about how important it was to eat to lose when she said...Its like building this Ferrari and then running it with no oil!!! SO GOOD!! We HAVE to eat to lose Red Team!!!! I myself am so guilty of that. When I do low carb I am NEVER hungry, I have to remind myself its time to eat. When I post my menus I never eat the snacks I plan for just because I'm never hungry, and with as busy as I am if I'm not thinking about it, I just dont eat. Okay there is my confession...I dont eat enough! Here is what I ate today:

Breakfast: 2 scrambled eggs, chopped ham, cheese, coffee w/ cream and splenda and a squirt of SF choc syrup

Lunch: all beef hot dog, cheese, cream cheese (sounds weird but its something we used to put on bagels)

Dinner: steak, romaine salad

Now it may have been enough carbs for my plan but that is NOT enoug food. I need to work on that! And my goal now is to find a trainer. I deserve it. Ya know I say all the time that we cant afford it but I'm sorry if we can afford to waste money on crap food or alcohol several times a week, we can afford for me to see a trainer.

Okay, all my rambling aside...where the heck is the Red team? This is rediculous!!!!

dream710 11-07-2007 07:49 AM

Good morning ladies! My neck and shoulder are doing better this morning. Yesterday I took some aspirin and got a massage and it seemed to help. Last night the pain was still there but not as bad, I took some strong pain reliever and sat down to watch Nip/Tuck, ended up falling asleep. I woke up just in time for my date with Gilad. I thought I'd give it a try, and surprisingly there was little pain. Usually I do the 30 min sculpting show and a pilates dvd but decided I better take it easy....At least for a few days. Last night I had some ice cream (the first time since July), well it was pistachio gelato (whatever that is) it was sooo yummy. I was pretty proud of myself...I only at 1 of the 2 servings, before I prob would ate both servings and felt guilty.

Todays Menu:

Snack: Banana
Breakfast: 1 slice wheat toast with 1 TBSP peanut butter
Snack: Grapefruit
Lunch: Lean Cuisine pizza- not sure what kind...it think its got tomatoes and cheese on it. Honeycrisp apple
Snack: yogurt
Supper: enchiladas with rice and ff refried beans

Ladies have a great day!

Diva 11-07-2007 08:51 AM

Dream, glad your neck is feeling a lil' better. I was looking at your menu, have ya ever tried putting sliced banana on your wheat bread and PB? OMG! Maybe I am wierd but I think that is LISH! ;)

Anyway's, getting ready for my hour treck one way to take M to the doc. I so hate driving... M wants to do luch afterward's, which in his terms means Micky'D's, so I guess I can order the grilled chicken Salad w/Ranch and stay on plan right?

After all that we are gonna pick up Dude from work and hopefully get a little tour of the place he work's. I am wanting a job there (Clayton Homes Manufacturing plant), so I wanna scope it out and see what dept I think I'd do the best in. I haven't worked in many many yrs... I'm thinking Finale Finish, because it's the end of the line, the home is complete, so I get to see how pretty it is, hehe and all I really have to do is clean it up and polish everything, make sure there are no mistakes. They have GREAT benefits too. These people take great pride in their homes, they aren't even allowed to call them 'trailers". These homes are built to the same standards as an onsite home. His plant is the #1 Plant in the Southeastern area. Isn't that cool? Y'all should check out the Extremem models, OMG! They have Glamour{sp) bathrooms that are the size of my living room, complete with Flatscreen TV and a fireplace. OMG! :dizzy:
Anywho, I am babbling aren't I? hehe

K, Don't think I can fit in exercise tday with all the driving unless we have time to stroll through the mall. But here's the menu:

2 Egg & Cheese omlette
2 oz smoked sausage
Hot cocoa ( hey, it's cold!)

SB Protein Bar

Grilled Chicken Salad w/ranch

Chicken & dumplin's (This could change)

Hun.e.B 11-07-2007 09:33 AM

Good Morning lovelies!! I need more sleep!

Diva....chicken salad is still on plan as long as the chicken isnt breaded, no croutons and I personally would avoid the carrots but I know you arent doing super lowcarb so you'll be golden! Manufactured homes are beautiful! Thats actually what I want to buy next year when we get our house because you can get so much more house for so much less money. I wouldnt consider those trailers at all, some of them are just gorgeous.

So glad to hear that your neck is better Dream!! The lean cuisine pizza that I just love is the BBQ chicken one...YUMMO!

Okay this morning I'm absolutly STARVED!...go figure! So off to eat and get the kiddos ready for school. AF arrived this morning and I hate her! LOL! Have a wonderful day RED!

The BEST benefit dude gets is after a year of working there, if we are ready to buy, they give us a discount on a home. So what someone would pay @ a dealer, we get for half. So if you buy a home for $150k, we can get the same thing for $80k, I totally LOVE that. Plus we can order it exactly the way we want as far as colors, floors, furniture, Tv's whatever. Not to mention he'll have a huge hand in building it. How cool is that? The peeps at this plant are very nice and very family oriented. We were trying to move up to PA, but he took this job last May and loves it so much he doesn't want to leave now, so I am stuck in Hillbilly land, TN! LOL!

Hun.e.B 11-07-2007 01:54 PM

AHHHHH I'm so frustrated I'm gonna throw my computer out the window! The stupid mouse isnt working right it wont click on things it wont highlight. I'm trying to do homework in excel and I cant copy and paste anything, when I try it thinks I'm just trying to move text!!! SOOO FRUSTRATING!!! I wish I had a heavy bag to punch!! GRR!

Sorry had to get that out! Dont feel better yet!

~melissa

Hun.e.B 11-07-2007 04:51 PM

*sigh* its just one of those days huh? LOL! Kinda looks like its gonna snow but its not even close to cold enough. I had to go do a tax project on campus and on the way I stopped and got myself a gingerbread latte. So NOT on plan!! And why? Because I'm having a stressful day? And did the coffee really make it better? Actually it was kinda nice but still!! I wish my syrups I ordered would hurry up and get here so I can indulge and still be on plan!!

Tonight is my dd's first basketball game. So excited for her!

Okay back to homework! I hope all is well with everyone. Not a good sign when everyone disappears.

~melissa

Shay 11-07-2007 05:16 PM

A run through real quick. I will stop in later and write more. I started my running program yesterday and it went really well. I was able to follow the program exactly and my foot did just fine. Sportsbra kept the sisters in place. I'm excited about doing it again tomorrow.

Really working on the water I got quite a bit in yesterday. Not as much as I wanted to but it was a start. I should make the 72 oz today.

Diva 11-07-2007 05:24 PM

Men get on my last nerve!

Hun.e.B 11-07-2007 11:35 PM

you and me both sister!

Shay 11-08-2007 06:08 AM

When my bf is acting a fool I usually tell someone once he gets over himself he will call and act like nothing ever happened. It always happens that way. I know this man very well. Sometimes that is good and bad.

Okay so I didn't make it back on here last night. As usual I fell asleep. Normally I stay up half the night but my sleep patterns are getting better now.

Today's menu
BF--cereal, soymilk, yogurt, coffee with sf flavored creamer
S--english muffin with rf peanut butter
L--smart ones thai noodles and chicken and yogurt
S--cottage cheese
S--raisins
D--chicken and veggies (maybe something in the crockpot. I guess I better figure that out soon)

I think it might be a maintenance week weight wise for me. Between me acting up for a couple of days, TOM, and beginning to finally exercise I think it will all balance out. At the most maybe I will lose 1 pound or maintain. We shall see.

Diva 11-08-2007 07:24 AM

Well, yesterday was just a bad day all around. Like I said we have to drive an hour to get to the boy's doc (He has a concussion :( ), everything was fine on the way, but on the way back the car starts acting all weird. We FINALLY get home and it turns out to be a pretty simple thing but unfortunately we don't have the little bit of cash to fix it just yet...not until Fri, so BF decides to over react like it's the end of the &%^)# Universerse and this just completely got on my last nerve. I already do not like him much this week, because just like Likenoother's BF, he ALWAYS tries acting like nothing ever happened after a fight, which we had last Sat. Like, this is a BAD thing after a while, because I am starting to really resent the fact that this jerk off can't seem to say a few simple words, like I am sorry I hurt your feelings and I love you. No instead he acts a fool like you say. I am not one to like conflict, and I choose my battles carefully now. This was NOT the case in my younger yrs but I have totally mellewed out, so when and if I do get upset or say anything, there IS something behind it, I don't just go around picking fights. So, every day that goes by, I like him a little less and now it is to the point that him breathing really disturbs me! ;) lol! I'm just not in the damn mood for him. I guess I am going to have to email his dumb *** and tell him exactly how I feel and if he gets pissy with me, well, it wouldn't be anyhting new. Screw him. I'm thinking I am NOT going to marry him. We've lived together in sin this long (5 1/2 yrs) why get married now. I don't want to be legally bound to a man that can't apologize and talk things through like a grown up. Soooooooooo....Now I am trying to lose this weight for me! Me and only me and NOT to fit into an overpriced dress I'd only wear one time.

Speaking of diets... I completely crumbled yesterday @ Micky-D's. :( The Fries & Chicken Nuggest won out over salad. I'm starting to get really sick of salad, lol! So anyways...yesterday was bad. I hope I haven't undone all the good I've done. I refuse to get on the scale because if it reflects my bad choices yesterday I don't wanna see it. I am irritabel enuff as it is. So back on track today and gonne do some serious working out to rid myself of some of this aggression and stress I am feeling.

Unsure of menu right now, but I promise to eat smart.

Love you gals.

dream710 11-08-2007 08:11 AM

Good morning! Yesterday I forgot to do measurements, so I did em today. What a bummer! I'm up 2.5" in two weeks...I'm trying to regain focus but having difficulty doing it. Last night I did really good I had one enchilada and 1/2 cup ff refried beans. I was in a real funk yesterday, I think it was the pain meds I was on yesterday, so I ate a few things that weren't on the menu and weren't good for me. Today I'm gonna leave my money out in the car so I eat the healthy stuff I brought and stay away from the vending machine. Tonight after dance I'm gonna try and run, we'll see how the neck holds up, if not I might have to do a low aerobic video, but I HAVE TO DO SOMETHING!

Diva-Sorry to hear your having man troubles...Men are definitely a pain in the ***!

Melissa-So did they win their basketball game? A Latte sounds soooo yummy!

Shay- Glad to hear the running is going good. I'm getting so frustruated not being able to run. After awhile it becomes an addiction, and you start to crave it. Great job on the water..keep up the good work.

Todays menu:

breakfast:

Go lean Hot Cereal
Banana
Snack:
Grapefruit
Lunch:
Spicy Black Bean Burger with Wheat Bun
apple
Snack: Smart Ones Popcorn
Supper:Grilled Chicken
Green Beans
Roasted Cauliflower

LeedaRenee 11-08-2007 08:52 AM

Sorry for my semi-MIA status the last few days. It's been rough. For one thing, I started orientation for a new job. I won't be working everyday or anything, more like once or twice a week, but the orientation was M-W 8-5. My MIL offered to come up and watch my baby while I was working.

I love my MIL I really do. She has a good heart and means well, but she loves you with food. I already made a bunch of meals both for the family and the baby for when I was working. Well, she did a few things I didn't like: putting sugar on fruit and veggies...there's not need for that! He loves his fruit and veggies without sugar on them. She went out and bought her own foods, some of it junk, which I know she probably fed to the baby. She's a diabetic btw and very overweight.

Then last night she pretty much insisted on ordering pizza and then asks my son if he's ready to eat some. I didn't say anything, because I thought she'd just give him ac ouple of bites, but it was practically his whole meal! and then he had more for breakfast the next morning. Grr.
So I sat down and had one piece myself. She eggs me on to have more, that's there's still too much left. I just can't have bad food around me like that. I ate tons of pizza. I hated myself for it.
I hate to complain too much because she did do us a really big favor and helped me out a lot. And she knows I don't like him to eat bad things, so considering what I've seen her do for her other grandkids, I know that what she did here the past few days was mild.
Combined with the provided food at the orientation, and my lack of exercise since Sunday, it's been a bad week for my fitness. I'm back in the saddle today. Had a healthy breakfast and about to go for a run in a bit. Will post menu later.

Hun.e.B 11-08-2007 08:55 AM

Good Morning girls!!! I tell ya something was in the air yesterday wasnt it. Hopefully today is going to be a better day for us all!! Thankfully I stayed on plan and ate right all day other than the latte so in the end I think I'm just fine. Stupid AF is here, I really think its unfair for those of us who are done having kids to continue to have periods!!! Especially since the older I get the heavier and more crampy they get...wtf with that!!!

I cant wait to get my syrups!!!!! I dont think I'm patient enough for internet shopping LOL!

I havent been posting my menus so i need to do that today:

Breakfast: scrambled eggs w/ cheese, ham, peppermint mocha coffee
Lunch: Hamburger - no bun, lettuce tomato pickles
Dinner - chicken of some sort maybe parmasan chicken and a romaine salad
snack - celery and cucumbers, bonbel cheese, diet rite soda

Like....Bob Greene said many moons ago that it is actually a good thing to have a gain or no loss in the first weeks of exercise. While it sucks for the scale it just means you are gaining lean muscle tissue and that is so much more important than the numbers. Make sure you keep track of measurements now too! That C25K is gonna change your body big time!!

Dream - Did you get that run in? I hope so! Its so hard to stay focused on this journey isnt it...if it didnt have to last so gosh darn long we'd be better at it! Write down all the reasons you want to lose the weight to remind yourself. LOL..the girls got slaughtered in their game last night, they did manage to score 5 points though. Not to shabby considering this is the first basketball most of them have ever played. Coach is an idiot though! ah well!

We have another game tonight.

Okay better get myself some breakfast! Have a wonderful day girls!

~melissa

Hun.e.B 11-08-2007 08:58 AM

oh Leeda I feel your pain. First lemme just say i dont like my MIL, but then again she told me she wished I was dead so how can you like a woman like that right? LOL! I'm so sorry that with everything going on with the new job you've got to deal with that. Try not to sweat the small stuff but remember you have to right and the power to say no to her. Her heart is in what she thinks is the right place, you may just have to tell her its the wrong place LOL! Good luck!! have a fantastic on plan day today!!

~melissa

LeedaRenee 11-08-2007 09:10 AM

Shay--I'm so excited you started C25K! I know you will love it!!

Dream--sorry about your measurements. I know you will get your focus back! I hope you enjoyed your aerobics or run!

Melissa--thanks for you reply. Gee, your MIL sounds really mean...makes me appreciate mine a little more. This whole food thing is the only real problem I have with her, but I don't think she would ask me to drop dead over it lol. Haha, about the AF stuff...maybe we could write a petition for the cessation of periods following childbearing :) Menu looks great!

Diva--Sorry about the man problems...I think that Y chromosome causes brain deficiencies.

I have a 5k Saturday. Please pray that my DH won't grumble too much about watching the baby or I will have to run with a stroller in the race (eeek!!)

Diva 11-08-2007 09:44 AM

HA! I totally agree! Just think my son's 2nd concussion could cause him to act drain bramaged when he is older just like my BF is now. Poor kid. I do talk to him a lot, and let him know that the way BF behaves during arguements is completely wrong and I tell him to always remember that the woman is right! LOL!

Hun.e.B 11-08-2007 05:08 PM

Diva...I totally missed your message this morning!! I'm sorry!! I hope that today is going better for you! You already know my feelings about going into a marriage with those iffy feelings so I wont beat it LOL! Hope the boy is doing better too!

I aced my tax exam!! *does the happy dance* so exciting! but I'm so exhausted today! Oh and my syrups came today!!! I'm gonna make an iced gingerbread coffee right now! Hopefully that'll wake me up for my kiddos bball game tonight.

did I tell you guys about the opportunity that has been presented to me? Through my university there is a spring break program where a chosen group go up to the very northern part of Alaska and do tax returns for the Inuits. Its over spring break and it would mean not being with the girls on easter. But what an amazing opportunity, I havent turned in the application yet because I'm scared! Trying to talk myself out of being such a chicken! Plus it would mean I'd have to really be serious and lose weight because there are limits on these small little planes they fly into the villages.

Alright, I'm hungry 3pm and havent had lunch yet! Shame! I hope everyone is doing great!!
