Hey, Selina! I missed your post. Wow! 47 days on-plan....that is really inspiring. Thanks for sharing about Halt. I have noticed that I tend to look for the sugary starches when I'm over tired. I also will not admit that I'm powerless over food. I'm have a strong faith in God and I believe that my God has given me the spirit of power and of a sound mind. I can choose to not overeat and I have the power to follow through.

Tina30 10-11-2007 09:31 AM

Good morning ladies! Just a quick check-in today! How is everyone doing this week? I have to admit yesterday was a bit rough for me food wise....I was just in the munchy sort of mood! I didn't eat any junk, but it was just too much food! I did a great workout yesterday though, so I'm hoping it won't affect my weight! Today I am going to my MIL's for lunch, so no gym this afternoon! My arms are sore today, and since today is leg day, I can do those exercises at home...squats, lunges, lifts, etc...so strength training at home and then out for a walk early this evening! The weather is cooler now, so I'm going to have to get out there before dinner! I am looking forward to the fresh air though! Tomorrow will be back to the gym! I'm trying really hard to stay off the scale for a few days....I tend to get a little obsessed with it! I feel like my clothes are fitting nicely though, so that is a good sign! I would love to get under 145 this week! Last night was a snuggle night on the couch...it was so chilly! I had my candles all lite and we just snuggled and watched some shows! That is about all for me today, I'm off to throw in another load of laundry! Have a great day ladies!

Chellez- What's going on? You haven't been to chatty lately....is everything okay? Hope all is well hun!

Azure- You rock with your workouts....keep it up girl, that scale is not going to know what hit it this week!

Rhonda-Your doing so good with your workouts! I think tweaking your diet a bit will really help you! Sometimes little changes make big differences! Keep up your good work though, your doing awesome!

Selina- How was your date day yesterday? Hope it went nicely! I am such a mindless eater, boredom though I think would be #1! I know that I'm not powerless over food, but I have to tell you sometimes it does feel that way to me! It is something I know I will have to deal with my whole life and that makes me nervous, I just want a normal realtionship with it! 47 days OP....I don't even know what to say anymore, your great!

Soul- How are things going with you?

Well ladies I hope you all have a fantastic Thursday~

Tina30 10-11-2007 09:34 AM

Opps...I forgot Denice and Onthetee!

Denice- Great job for getting back OP, and it's always nice when the scale shows a nice reward for that! I have no clue about kittens, that was really nice of you to do though! Good luck!

Onthetee- Did you get to do your run last night...it was pretty chilly here!

practiceliving 10-11-2007 09:53 AM

Good morning ladies! Yesterday was SOOO much better with the dexedrine! I was really surprised to come home and still be alert, energized, and useful. I didn't get as much homework done as I'd like, but it was still a huge improvement. I'll be taking them again today (class and study sesh will have me out all day) and Friday (work), then take the weekend off, I think. One more week til I see the doc and review... we'll see what happens then.

Selina - WOO HOO Day 47! I am so excited for you to reach 50, 100 days OP. And thanks for sharing that HALT tip - it sounds really sensible.

Onthetee - those are some sensible reasons to want to keep losing. Try to focus on how far you have come, and all the changes that has brought in your health, day-to-day feelings, etc. Keep working away at it, and the rest will come off in time.

Tina - Great about your clothes fitting better! That's always one of my favourite NSVs, the changes in fit!

GirlyGirlSebas - way to re-evaluate and make changes! And hooray for that fat% drop!

denice - Way to get back OP!

Azure - !! I'm so impressed with you getting all that exercise in!

Azure 10-11-2007 10:16 AM

Tina-- Don't sweat the munching! If it wasn't on junk, it probably didn't effect your weight much at all--especially if it was followed with a kick-*** workout! Sounds like you've got a busy day ahead of you :D Have fun with your at-home exercisin' and enjoy the beautiful fall weather on your walk! I hope you're right about the scale not knowing what hit it ;) I feel like a machine this week! It's nice to feel so focused.

Marianne, thanks! Like I said to Tina, I'm really feeling like a machine this week with the exercise! I'm supposed to go to a cardio kickboxing class tonight--I'm hoping I can make it till then! I'm SORE and TIRED today. Good luck with the classes/homework. Sounds like my day today! I hope your next doc's appointment is all good news

------------

I've got to leave for my classes in about 30 minutes, but I wanted to update my Blue Ladies on my week! I'm making such a huge effort this week to stay on plan with my food and to get in some exercise! I'm still trying to tweak my program so that I'm getting the right amount of Strength/HIIT/SS Cardio. I don't want to do too much, but I want to do as much as I can without causing burnout!

Depending on how I feel tonight, I may or may not hit up another Cardio Kickboxing class. If it weren't raining, I'd probably take a walk... Anyway. I hope the rest of you ladies are having a great week!! Here's to having amazing weigh-ins this week! We've got to blow those other teams out of the water ;)

Tina30 10-11-2007 11:05 AM

Marianne- Glad yesterday was better for you, hopefully your body is starting to adjust to the meds!

onthetee 10-11-2007 09:07 PM

Hey ladies! Stayed within my cals today, but boy, did I eat crappily, which I don't usually do.

I made taco soup, and I purposely put black beans in it so that I would have to eat around them and not eat as much. It was a good plan except for:

THE FRITOS! Curse you, crunchy corn swirls fried and covered in salt.

I added in all the cals for them, but what a waste. I actually went over my cals by about 100 because I made a salad afterward out of guilt.

After the salad, I went out for my run. I did not make it yesterday because of the spouse, but I did go to the gym to ellipticize. I ran tonight in long sleeves and long tights! It was perfect outdoor exercise weather for me. Of course, I am the idiot who looks forward to the Polar Bear race in February every year. If it is over 10 degrees, I go!

I am considering training for a half marathon in the spring. I walked a half in 1999 (pre spouse and children). That seems like a million years ago. If I can get a reliable training partner, I would do the half. Since the gym I go to is one of the sponsors, I am hoping they will have a sign up for buddies or a training program.

Off to drink some decaf tea to start ridding my body of the Frito salts....

Tina30 10-11-2007 09:29 PM

I have a question....why do some words get turned green and underlined in posts? Just wondering, I've never noticed it until just recently and wondered if it was for anything special!

Azure 10-12-2007 12:44 AM

It's a new form of advertising that the Chicks are trying out on the site. If you scroll over them with your mouse, an add/search thingy pops up. Personally, it bugs me (at least with popups, my browser can make them go away...), but I know this is a free site and that the Chicks have to pay for it somehow!

chellez 10-12-2007 08:09 AM

Morning ladies!

Well I'd be drinking a cup of coffee this morning but lack of time and having to weigh in tomorrow, I chose to skip it.

I just have a brief moment because I have to start working on Friday stuff for work. Just in case you're wondering where I've been, I started new classes this past Tuesday and it's not so much that they are difficult, its that the book is a hard read and the homework is utterly ridiculous for the amount of time we have to complete the course. I also have another side project I was working on in my free time that had to get finished asap. But that project is done now so really I just have to tackle work and school.

I should be back to chatting more often next week... just that side project kind of hung me up there!

TTYL

GirlyGirlSebas 10-12-2007 09:04 AM

Good morning, Blues!

Just a brief note before I jump into my work for the day. I'm getting a later than normal start today. I woke up with a horrible sinus headache, so I slept in for a bit. Hopefully, this will go away so I can workout today. The good new is that my scales went down a little bit.:carrot:

Hope everyone is having a great on-plan day. Go Blue!

onthetee 10-12-2007 09:05 AM

Wow did I fall off the wagon with a thud last night!

First, I popped a little popcorn, which was fine, but it pretty much opened the flood gates.

I had made baba ganoush yesterday, so I had a carrot with that.

Then DH came home, had his normal sugar fix, and I ate a cookie.

An extra 200 calories.

Clearly, I will be working out this morning AND this evening.

Soon2BFitChick 10-12-2007 09:23 AM

G'Morning!!!! :coffee2:

Good to see you Chelle! We missed you! Glad to hear the side project is done and you can chat more soon. :D

Az, u've been doing lots of good exercise! That's great!! :carrot: Those ads annoy me too.

Tina, the date went ok, he was late but he's swamped now so can't really complain. He tried. LOL. I hope you get under 145 this week like you want! And yes, boredom is a huge thing for me. So now I work in my yard or clean ALOT to keep myself busy. Plus Lord knows I have no problem with that now when I have the 3 little ones in diapers and the two with homework and extra sight words and football, I'm worn out at bedtime, and usually before that. :faint:

Practice, Thanks! You are rooting for me too then! Today will be day 48! I'm only down one lb this week. :( Oh well, at least it's something. :goodscale:

Anna, doesn't sound too bad, at least you ran! LOL. I do wish I could go walking outside. But with DH gone so much, I just can't go. Dang it. Great to use Halt for parenting. I do know to see what's wrong first, I have always known, I guess from reading about how they act up when they are hungry or tired or angry etc. Just never realized that is the same thing! Smart! Sounds like nice weather there. It's finally down in the 60s at night here. 88 during the day or so. Better than 100 degrees and 100% humidity! :dizzy:

Rhonda, thank you! I am shooting for 100, then 200 then 300 then the big 365!!!! After this comp is over, we need to start a thread for all of us who want to stay in touch. I'd love to do another comp right after, hint hint Chelle. :crossed: :D You are doing great, how do you stay on the tmill for 60 mins every day? I can do 2 sets of 30 or 3 of 20, but maybe it's just bc my toddler is so fussy after that long, she starts giving me toys, LOL. I was yelling at myself How bad do you want it???? and she was off in the toyroom and answered me, Bad bad. LOL. Too funny! I thought about you bc of Jillian's voice. That's what I hear when I ask myself all that. LOL! :cb:

Well, I'm down almost 4 inches in my hips and several everywhere total. I feel better. I just wish the scales would move a little more. Rhonda, I'm so with you that I need that motivation. But it's my own fault for not skipping days from the scale, right Tina?? I know! I just can't help it!! :o So since I want to see it every day I have to get used to it bouncing. I will only care once a week and use that one. ;)

I will see my family on my son's bday Oct. 28 and then again on Nov 18 for my niece's party. It's sorta weird bc where I live now, no one knows me at 277. LOL. So I look the same for the next 30 lbs, then maybe they'll be able to tell I'm losing. LOL. Family already says something all the time tho. Isn't something when you are heavy and everytime u see the family, they say weight related comments. It's never not an issue. It's always a "R u winning the battle or losing it?? Let me look at you and I'll let u know." They don't mean to be that way. Just happens in this society. And when we lose it all? What will everyone find to talk about!!!!!!!!

Have a great weekend if I can't come to chat! I will be posting Monday probably. Would like to see more off me by then! Hope all your weigh ins go well!!!! :cp:

Tina30 10-12-2007 11:13 AM

Good morning ladies! Well yesterday was not a good day! I went to my MIL's for lunch, and that wasn't too bad, normal healthy lunch, then I had a little mini box of milk duds, and she made some homemade hot coco...it was made with 1% milk though, so not crazy! I came home later though and still had the munchies...I ended up eating pretzels, and then some graham crackers with pb. Again not totally crazy, but I really didn't need it, I was just BORED! Then dinner rolled around and this is where it gets bad.....out to a buffet for dinner! I know better then this! I don't think I went crazy on the amount of food I ate, it's just the choices I made were not good! Let's just say the only veggie was a baked potato, and that was the only baked thing I ate!1 piece of fried chicken, baked potato, and 1 slice of texas toast, and one piece of pizza, followed by a small piece of cherry pie and a little ice cream, oh yeah I forgot I started not with a salad like a good girl, but with chicken noodle soup! Ughhhh I don't know what got into me! I didn't get to my walk yesterday either....total slacker all day! I did some lower body work though:)! Today though instead of beating myself up, I'm confessing and moving on. I am off to the gym this afternoon once the kids go to school, and for sure now Sat. and Sunday will both be spent at the gym! I'll go early so I'll have my whole day! Anyway true confessions are over now;) Not much going on this weekend, my SIL & BIL may come over tomorrow night, she isn't feeling well though so not 100% sure yet! Other then that just realxing at home! Today I am just going to do some cardio and ab work at the gym, my arms are pretty sore still, and I worked my legs yesterday! That is about all for me ladies! Have a great weekend!

Selina- My youngest sons b-day is the 28th....he is turning 4! Your dropping inches like crazy girl....I told you to stay off that scale;)LOL! I say if inches are coming off to heck with the scale! It will catch up! Have a great weekend!

Onthetee- I thudded with you last night, let's get back up today though and move on! Nothing a good workout can't fix! Have a nice weekend!

Rhonda- I hope your feeling better....nothing worse then a sinus headache....it is awful this time of year! Take care hun, and have a nice weekend!

Chellez- YAY! I was getting worried about you! Glad your doing good, and look forward to chatting more next week!

Azure- Thanks for clearing that up for me....I was going crazy trying to figure it out! Kinda annoying though, huh? I can't wait to see the numbers you pull this week, your working out like a mad women! Keep it up! Have a great weekend!

Everyone else, I hope you all are doing well and have a fantastic weekend!

onthetee 10-12-2007 12:44 PM

Taking the kids on a hike in a bit. It won't be anything major since we will stop to ID the leaves, nuts and insects we find. Still, fresh air for everyone!

scratch that---the big one is horking.
