Thanks Rhonda. Guess what?? I showed to be at 222.5 this am! I'm almost scared it will be back to the 224 tomorrow bc it stayed there soooo long. But I'm happy!!! At least it's something. Maybe those mins of running and squats and diff. things helped! And my eating too. My cals were from 975-1260 for the last several days. I need to keep a good eye on that every day.
Today will be day 41 and I'm down another 1.5 lbs so far. Wonder if more might come off b4 weigh-in. This week I'm waiting down to the wire to post weight. :dancer: Trying not to get hopes up more will come off, but u can't stop a girl from dreaming. I want out of the 220s! Uggh!!! Hope you all have a great day! I should be posting each day of this weekend since not going 2 be gone very much. Hugssss, Selina  |
Another half pound and I can change my chick avatar again. :D
PS I need to be on the tmill for an hour a day, at least on days when I am home most of the day and have time. I'd hit 10000 steps for sure then. I used to do that. (Btw, I had over 10,000 two days this week. Hmmm, I lost weight too.) :woops: Do you do that all at once Rhonda?? I should try to do that right after I feed everyone in the morning. Just hard with my toddler. She doesn't want to play with toys or anything when I'm on it. She stands by me and teases that she's is going to step up on it. Scares me over and over and I have to keep asking her to go sit and play. May just put her in her playpen. :bb: She usually doesn't mind that in the afternoon but in the morning she wants to be out. :( I try to remind myself that I need to take care of me too, but it's hard bc she just wants me to play with her. I love her!!! Ok, I have to do it though. |
I made a bad move last night. We ordered Chinese... and while I had the chicken and mixed veggies that are steamed.... the "special sauce" was evidently packed with salt.
So now I'm stuck trying to figure out how to flush out this water retention before tomorrow morning! Any advice? |

Water Water Water Chellez....and try putting lemon into your water! It's a diuretic;) Also try to really limit your salt intake today.....

One thing that did work for my son was to have a basket of toys that he could only have when I trying to get the baby to sleep, but it would work for the treadmill too. If you put three or four things in there with some books that only come out when you are on the treadmill, she may beg you to go exercise! |
Good morning ladies! Well this will be quick today, as it's my sons b-day and he has off school today! I did get a little walk in yesterday with the kids! I took them to the park, they rode bikes, I hustled behind them!LOL! I took a peek at the scale and it showed 145.5! I was so excited to see 145, AGAIN! I hope never to see that number again! My goal is 130 and to have 135 be the highest I would allow myself to go! I am taking it 5 lbs at a time though, so next goal is 140! I am still hoping to hit 139 by Halloween! I tell you these last pounds are sooooo much harder to get off then the 61 I already have taken off! I'll keep on truckin though...I am determined to hit goal, or really darn close to goal with this challange! Tonight my in-laws and parents are coming over for dinner! This weekend is filled with parties, so I will have to exercise and practice portion control! I think I am going to wait until Sunday or Monday to check my weight again and keep my fingers crossed that I can pull another 1/2 pound at least! Well ladies that is all for me today! Have a great day!
Rhonda- Congrats on running! Hey you have to start somewhere and I think 2 min. is pretty darn impressive to start! Your head is really in this now, I can tell by your dedication to exercise lately! Keep it up! Your doing fantastic....and like you said as long as the inches are coming off the scale will catch up eventually! Have a great weekend! Selina- Great job on running also! You ladies are doing awesome! I can't believe how many days OP you've had in a row! That is fantastic! I was always scared to do the treadmill when my kids were babies...my grandma told me a story of how a kid stuck his hand in it while his mom was walking and that freaked me out! I would either do it while they were sleeping or put them in the playpen! I can't tell you how many times I almost fell off the treadmill at first trying to shoo them away!LOL! Not safe for me or them! It's a lot easier now that their older! Good for you though for realizing you need to take the time for you! That is a huge accomplishment, especially for moms! We tend to get wrapped up in raising kids and forget that we need to be healthy and happy to raise healthy and happy children! Keep up the good work! Anne- That is some good advice about the X ! I like the special basket of toys also! Have a great weekend! Azure- How are things going, we haven't heard from you in awhile? Hope things are going well! Have a great weekend ladies! Let's log some hours in the exercise challange this weekend! ;) |

Now, I look forward to it,and since I hit my 30 minute goal (it took me 5 months to get there!), I am excited. My next goal is to do 3 miles in 30 minutes. I posted my weigh in. TOM begins today (I am done with kids, why can't I just be done with this too?), and I was down after having a gain for two weeks. Back to my week 2 weight. Hopefully, with AF moving out, that will help for next week's as well. |
Tina30, thanks for asking about me! As I posted last time, I spent a WEEK gorging myself on junk---and I do mean gorging. I've stepped on the scale once since then, saw that I apparantly gained 10 pounds (some of it water/glycogen thanks to being on a Low Carb diet--but some of it, maybe 3-4lbs are probably actual fat) and got really discouraged.
I've been doing great this week--hitting the gym and sticking to my diet plan. I just got Jillian's book "Making the Cut" and she has a diet for my "oxidizer" type that is 30% fat, 30% carbs and 40% protein. I'm considering trying that out, if for no other reason than the whole "glycogen/water" weight that I lose on Atkins (and regain upon any carb deviation) isn't real fat loss...and it bugs me a little bit to know that in reality, with that back in my body, I weigh more than my numbers say when I'm on Atkins. I'm going to put some more thought into it and maybe try out Jillian's plan. Anyway, I took a freebie week last week. I know my number's going to be a gain this week, too--no matter what I lose between now and Monday (I was 163 today, which is still 10 pounds more than my last weigh in...). I've got to make a decision about diet choice between now and the weigh in. If my weight's still wicked high, I might just take my second freebie week to give myself some more time to get it down... Otherwise, I'll make the team take the hit and just post my losses from here on out. I'm rambling! I'll check in later. |
Chellez - I agree with the others. Pee it out! :D
onthetee - I felt the same way when I started Ct5K, and I'm sure I'll feel it again when I start up again. Good for you for sticking with it! GirlyGirlSebas - WOO HOO on the mini-runs! Tina - congrats on seeing that 145 again, and good for you for taking it bit by bit. Azure - way to get back on the horse! I'm very impressed with the amount of thought you seem to be putting into it. Soon2BFitChick - WOO HOO at it being almost time for a new avatar! As for me - I took my first dose of Dexedrine this morning, and WOW. I feel better than I have in MONTHS - awake, alert, strong. I am seeing why amphetamines are called "speed" now, though - I sort of feel like I'm on fast forward. I'll be taking a freebie this week because I'm heading home for Thanksgiving which means no scale to weigh on! |
Hiya Bluezies!
I'm prolly w/i'ing in at the last minute too . . . had an awful day/night/24 hr period yesterday.:( Hope it's not so bad that I take my last freebie!:^::( Getting off this 'Puter and getting back to this weight loss work!:carrot: |
Afternoon ladies~
Me and my gf went on a different walking route this morning, I put on my pedometer to see how far it was, 10,776 steps which came out to 4.4 miles for me and we did that in 80 minutes. It was a good walk as it had a few more hills. I wrote out a workout schedule for myself for the rest of the month, to see if it'll help make that ole mean metal monster go down! ;) :bravo: to you ladies that are running!!! I've tried, but I'm just not a runner! Add me to the list of pee it out, Chellez! :lol3: The lemon does work well on getting toxins outta your system. On the drama that's going on, I didn't read that stuff til I saw some of y'all mention it here. Chellez, don't let that crazy stuff drive ya away. I know you want to be a mod, and I think you should. Hopefully whom ever you deal with will put in a word. I know I've not said it enough, but you're awesome on doing this for us. It's so greatly appreciated and I wouldn't be trying as hard if it wasn't for you, your leadership and all you wonderful ladies. :grouphug: I hope everyone has a great weekend. I've got to go mow out at the property tomorrow but other than that we're just chilling. I do plan on walking on sat. & sunday.:running: Talk to y'all later! |
Well its 3:37 and I'm still drinking water... I don't have any lemon here at work but I'll probably go home and drink another liter and a half of water and I'll have lemon there.
Does the tea have to be cold or hot or does it not matter? I think I still have some chai tea left so I may grab some of that too. I have a sneaky feeling all of this liquid is going to back fire on me. I'm going to check the scale and see if I pee'd it all out when I get home. I think Aunt Flow is on her way out so if I do show a gain it will probably only be a slight one. I don't think we are going out tonight since Dan's still sick.... maybe I can go to the apartment's gym and get on the treadmill for an hour? Well I'm going to finish my water and pray my boss leaves cause I'm tired of him! http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/4/4_14_6.gif |
I dont know about all of you, but the weather is changing here, its getting cold and I've been STARVING all week! It just can't be a coincidence can it? I think my ancestors genes are telling me to stock up on the fatty foods for the winter, what a bummer...I wish my genes knew there was a grocery store 2 blocks away and that this was all totally unnecessary.
