I'm back. The fieldtrip got cancelled because of the lightening that's going on. :( It's rescheduled for 12 October. So I guess I'll go change and get a workout in. :exercise:

Rhonda ~ I know exactly how you feel!!!

Sara~ glad your feeling better and can exercise again. :D

Tina30 09-26-2007 09:32 AM

Good morning ladies! How is everyone feeling halfway into this week! I feel so much more in control! Yesterday I got in a 45 min. walk/jog on my treadmill! Today I think I'm going to do my FitTv bootcamp video...it has both cardio and weights! Looking forward to that, I haven't done it in awhile! Yesterday was just a stay at home day....I did laundry all day and that is about all! Not sure what I have going on today, but I don't think anything special! I thought the BL was good last night...a bit long, but with the magic of tivo okay! :D Oh so I went grocery shopping on Sunday and bought 3 lbs of ground beef...now when I get home my husband always splits it up and puts it in freezer bags. I would gag if I had to do it!:dizzy: Anyway when I got home he was doing stuff outside, so he told me to put it in the fridge he would do it when he came in...well Sunday night he was tired so he was going to do it Monday and then Monday God knows what happened....and then yesterday I look and see it still sitting in the bottom of the fridge...I thought I would kill him! I had to throw it all out. He was like why would you do that...hello did you smell it! I just was so frustrated with him...I mean that was like 3 dinners worth of meat for my family, and with a family of 5 I try and make food stretch! Whatever just a little rant...it's over! That is about all for me ladies! Have a great day!

Rhonda....Did you hear the lady on the black team last night? Slow and steady wins the race...she said "I may be the last turtle to cross the finish line, but I'll look good in my shell!" I thought that was so cute! I think the slower it comes off the more likely it is to stay off...IMO! Keep at it girl! Your doing great!

Sara- Glad your feeling better! I had that when I was pregnant with my daughter and I thought I was going to die!

Chellez--How is it going hun? I haven't chatted with you in awhile!

Selina-- You ROCK! 30 somthing days in a row OP! :bravo: Keep it up girl! I think lowering your exercise is a good idea...you don't want to crash and burn! Anyways your on your feet all day long it sounds like!:dizzy:

Barbara--When are you coming back? Soon? Have a safe trip home!

Cathy-- I guess canoeing with lightning would be kinda dangerous!:fr:

Azure-- Here's to the 140's :mag: There right around the corner! Keep up the good work!

Let's finish this week out strong ladies!:strong:

Soon2BFitChick 09-26-2007 10:08 AM

Thanks Tina. Yeah, I'm afraid I'll want to stop altogether. Everyone sick, and 2 babies are on breating treatments right now 4 times a day so I almost have no time to get anything done so you know workouts are at the bottom of the list again. I'm coughing my head off all day. It's crazy. And if one gets put in the hospital (like what happened with one b4 bc they are preemie, I don't know how I'll keep up with anything.) But I WILL not eat more than my plan. I CAN control that. :drill:

I am doing about 10 mins tmill in the a.m. and hitting 6000 ok. I actually had 9114 yesterday! LOL. Right after changing it to 6000. Funny. :dizzy:

Today will be day 32 OP!
Well, I hear one crying. Gotta go. Have a good day.

Ottoette 09-26-2007 10:29 AM

I'm discouraged this morning. I did well yesterday until lunch, then made some bad choices up til dinner time and gained FOUR pounds over night. Now, I know that's gotta be water, but still it's maddening to see the scale do that.
I'm OP today with a close eye on my water intake.
Those of you affected by the strike must be relieved to have it over so fast.
Kim

Hey Chelle.....I was wondering if it would be easier to just have 2 or 3 destinations at one time and then whoever completes those destinations gets to pick the next 2 or 3 or maybe each team can pick a destination.....I just think it might be hard to have to wait for the teams to take a day or so to pick the next destination.....and I know that some people are not able to get to the computer early in the day even if they did their exercise early in the day so that kind of puts them at a disadvantge.....any thoughts?? Just my two cents!

aud 09-26-2007 12:39 PM

Hang in there soontbfchick! Ahhhhh, babies . . . sometimes this menopausal body just aches to be able to hold my now 21 yr old/soontb 10 yr old in my arms again! PS: Have made the abs/push up Challenge daily since Sunday.

Today I was able to do the 10 push ups all in a row instead of breaking up into 2 sets!!!!:carrot:

A great big Hug to whoever thought up this Challenge! It's already making a difference in my life/mindset!:D

chellez 09-26-2007 01:41 PM

Sorry I've been MIA the past two days!

Ashley had her baby this morning at 9:53 am and he's a healthy little boy!

I skipped work today and we just got back from the hospital so she can have some privacy but everything is well!

I'm sure I've gained the past two days but I'm going to try and work it off before weigh in saturday!

The new destination is up and as of right now we are about 70 + minutes behind them... Maybe I'll take the stairs at the hospital for an hour or so!

I'll be back later ladies! ;)

Hey everyone, I have a confession to make.

I have been naughty this week. I have eaten a bunch of JUNK (e.g. cupcakes!) and barely moved my butt. I am so disappointed in myself - I was all motivated and excited for my new goals on the weekend... then it's like I woke up Monday morning and everything went wrong. :( I have had a totally bizarre gain in the space of like 3 days, and I just can't seem to shake this. I WANT to eat better and move my butt more, so why aren't I?! Sheesh.

Anyways, that's my little rant/pity party/confession. I feel like I'm not just letting myself down, but all of you, too. So I'm really sorry!! Any advice or butt-kicking will be much appreciated.

Soon2BFitChick 09-26-2007 04:12 PM

Marianne, it happens. Don't worry. I'm not mad at you. :) I didn't lose any this week. I posted my weight for the week, which is 0 loss, in case one or both of the babies end up at the hospital this week or weekend. Just don't seem much better. :(

Thanks, Aud. I will try my best to not be sad bc I know the kids need more than I do. I can worry about me later. Congrats on the baby! :cheer:

Chelle, I know when you are so busy you can't do anything for u! But soon things will get easier for you I'm sure. Congrats on the baby there too! I love babies. :bb:

Hope everyone has a great week and weekend, if I'm not on til then. I'm sorry I can't be much help in the challenge. I have lots of minutes but no time to find the thread and type them in. I promise once we are well, I will kick butt with you all. Hugs, Selina

PS Wish me luck that I can get them well on my own and not have to spend a week at the hospital. My other kids miss me when I have to be up there. :( I miss them too.

Hi everyone,

Hump day and I’m feeling awesome. This is OP day #18 for me. I’m still going strong with the daily exercising too.
Last night I went to a baby shower that had a spread like you would not believe…truffles, cheesecake, crab dip all my favorites and I didn’t indulge not one tiny bit. Not because I was white knuckling it either but because I was honestly still feeling satisfied from my healthy dinner. It was such a calm, strong, in control feeling. Then early this morning I jumped right out of bed as soon as the alarm rang feeling great and ready to do step aerobics. I seriously think Fit Girl has taken over my body--this is so not me.

I’ve made a few milestones since I last posted. I’ve lost another inch from my waist and according to my scale I am now under 50% body fat. Imagine I’m not half fat anymore!

Way to go Teammates for winning the week 2 challenge! :congrat:
I know lots of you had a rough week last week. It is interesting to me to see how the monthly cycle has been effecting some of you. I am going to pay attention to mine this month and see if there are certain times when I get the munchies or feel out of control. It makes me wonder if there’s anything that might help like more omega 3’s or more protein or something. Has anyone tried anything that helps?

Bliss- Congratulations for your 6lb lose! That’s an insane amount for 1 week (to quote Jillian) and a 10lb total since starting this challenge. You are a fat burning machine! :bravo:

Selina-My heart goes out to you for your sick family. :getwell: Hugs and prayers to you and your little ones for a quick recovery and staying out of the hospital. I love how you call us the Blazzing Bluesters. Every time I read that it makes me smile. Congratulations on losing over 50lbs you’ve been doing great and next week will be better.

Dea-Congratulations on making it to a 40lb lose. I’m right behind you-hopefully by next weigh-in. :cp:

Azure, Denice, Tina, and Liz- You are all so close to goal it must feel great. I know you must be fighting for every lb at this point but you’ve all been doing great.

UtahGirl- What a great adventure you have been having. Sounds like you have been living your dreams and not letting weight get in the way. Hope you have a safe flight back to the states. Where in Utah are you from? I have a sister who lives in SLC and a daughter going to school in Provo.

Chellez and Aud - Congratulations on the new little babes in your life.

I haven’t been posting much but I read all the time and you girls and the challenges have been such a huge help and support to me. Lets work hard for another win this week and to those of you who are struggling there’s still time to turn it around just like the one girl on the blue team did last night on TBL. She ended up with the biggest lose for her team.

:dust:

Having a super week! I have been OP and still exercising at least 40 minutes a day. I was so glad I posted my weight when I did because I had a huge gain by Monday morning--up three! Those three are gone, and I am back to everything moving in the right direction. You all carried me when things did not turn out as I had hoped last week, so I hope that I can help those of you who are off this week.

Had a great work out. The gym has been after-New Year's full this week for some reason. I could not get on a treadmill to run, so I hit the elliptical. My goal is always to hit minutes x 10 =cals burned. So if I do 40 minutes, I want to burn 400.

I don't believe that the machines are accurate, but it helps me gauge my intensity from work out to work out. I was totally behind on my cals at 36 minutes and had to move like a woman possessed to hit 400 in 40, but I did it! My legs are like jell-o, but I hit my target.

Thanks for noticing--The fact that you did makes me feel good, and I needed that. I've been avoiding posting here because when I do, often no one responds so I feel invisible or ignored and it seems like there's no point to putting myself out there if I am not being received or responded to. I'm sensitive and I know it! Anyway, you made my day.

Boy...sounds like everyone is busy with life!! Must be that time of year!!
I have been working full time over the last couple of days...to make up time for our vacation that is coming up. I didn't get up early enough to exercise this morning, so I did an extra work-out tonight...60 minute cardio with Turbo Jam and Biggest Loser (BL really makes me work!)
Congrats on our win this week ladies...we all did a great job!
Selina....one day at a time! I have had to stay in the hospital with my youngest (he has asthma), and have had to leave my other 3 at home with dad. Not the best situation, but I try to make the most of it (in between the worry and sleep-loss). Quiet time with my son, reading, talking, cuddling...whatever I can to make a bad time a little better.
Have a great rest of the week ladies!!

Oh, Bliss, I am sorry you feel that way. I think things move really fast on this forum, and I just cannot keep up. I don't have the time or the organizational skills to respond to everyone as well as some of our teammates do, but please know that you and your contributions and remarks are valued!

And I think EPO is a goddess-send.....
