Daily accountability and support! Please join in!
Anyone interested in daily accountability?
I am sure that life will get in the way and "daily" might be only a couple of times a week - at times, but that would still be positive and helpful. I will start. PLEASE join me if you want. I started back on Atkins yesterday. I have failed many times in the past. My SW was 244.3. Yesterday and today (242.3) I had pretty much the same thing: A cup of black coffee, had a green smoothie (spinach, pepper, and broccoli with water - Nutribullet is great for that kind of stuff). No, it didn't taste great but wanted to get my veggies and didn't want to use fruit or protein powder to "doctor it " up. Other things I ate EACH DAY: 2 chicken thighs, 1 English cucumber, almonds, small salad (no store dressing just salt, oil and apple cider vinegar), cheese. I feel full and don't crave much of anything right now. Yesterday I didn't do any type of exercise but today I walked 3 miles on the treadmill. Good luck to each and every one of us on this journey to health! I would love to have others join in.:) We can write about good days and challenging times, what we eat, exercise related "stuff", ask and answer one another's questions and just be there for one another. I know that accountability really works for me! There are some incredibly supportive and kind people around here. Just three of the wonderful people here are Lulu NH:) and wannaskipandlaugh:) and JerseyGyrl.:) I can't wait to get to "meet" other wonderful people, offer and receive support and just help one another "stick with it". |
2015 is my year too!! And thanks for the kind words!! You didn't fail in the past your journey was on "pause" healthyin2015/Futurehealthyme! I took 15 pounds backwards after maintaining for a bit - around October I really started struggling and bouncing up and down on the scale - now I am ready for downdowndown! Truth is I should have been at goal by now but I did not practice Atkins like I should have....it's a journey...another lesson learned!! Best wishes for an on-plan day!!
|
I think this is a great idea! Future/Healthy - I thank you for this as yes.. posting daily (besides just the weight) is a great way to keep in touch, get/give help and support and well... converse with nice, wonderful, compassionate and lovely people! I am ALL in for that!
I am starting the day. I see so much bad food around me still and the old adage (don't waste money and throw away good food) is ringing in my head. I have cookies I made, Chocolates from my trip to Disney. At least all the pizza and cakes are gone - whew. I know the chocolates and cookies can be frozen...hmmm... I can bag them up and bring them to work for the clients.. hmmmmm... sounds like a plan! But that is my task and quandary for the day... to throw away food that is not good for me. How do you all do it (especially with family members as I live alone which should be easier) ? Just do it?! I remember Sex in the City and Miranda and her CAKE episode where she wanted to attend the Betty Crocker institute for cake addiction LOL she threw the cake away and poured soap on it LOL That always made me laugh as it rang so true to me. So today... Breakfast - Scrambled 1 egg and 2 sausage links Lunch - left over grilled chicken and romaine lettuce, cheese, dressing Dinner - a cup of my Buffalo Chicken mix (chicken, cream cheese, mayo and wing sauce) heated up and eaten stew stylel This is a more typical eating day for me when on plan... so I CAN DO IT! I also need to MOVE More I have only been walking 3000+ steps when for months and months I was moving 10,000 steps. As they say... small steps LOL OKAY... I won't be this long I just had to put this in writing for ME to read again :) Thank you for letting me take up space. I am so honored to share this space with you all! |
Healthyin2015, I'm curious, are you doing Atkins Induction?
|
Ladies, it is so wonderful to "see" you all again!
Like I wrote on the V's Day thread, I can't believe that it has been 2 years. Lulu NH, you are so right, it is a journey! Your willpower is incredible. I could have gotten so far in two years but have been very weak. Now, rather than let this thought sadden me, I will focus on the positive and the fact that I am trying hard and wanting to succeed now. I can't change the past but I can sure do something about the future. wannaskipandlaugh Yes, I think you are right yet again: get rid of it all. It is harder to resist possible future temptations with "bad stuff" around. You could take it t o a local"Soup Kitchen" where it would be served as dessert to (homeless or struggling financially) people who would REALLY appreciate it. Your eating plan for the day looks great! As for moving, yes, I understand your struggle. I have a hard time getting on the darn treadmill but feel so much better when I am done. I will try to think of my "after exercise" feelings before I get on it. JerseyGyrl I am not sure if I am doing the Induction 100% but am not counting calories, drinking water like crazy, keeping carbs under 20 a day and avoiding forbidden foods like fruit, etc. Your recommendations are always right on and greatly appreciated! Ha, almonds are NOT allowed!!! Good catch! OK, NO almonds anymore! Like I said, you are always so helpful. Your question made me loo at the list again and figure it out! Thank you. Maybe it me helped ease into it for the first two days! Focusing on the good but giving yummy almonds up. Right now, I am on break for another week. It is easier to start now rather than wait till I am back at work. Starting on Christmas Day was carefully planned in my head. :)I thought, why wait, why not today? Now, I most probably wouldn't have done it if I had family and/or guests over, or have gone over to their houses for Christmas dinner. TODAY 12/27 - 240.9 (still losing water, I know) Eggs and a small smoothie (only spinach, pepper, cucumber and water) Chicken thighs with mustard (weird, but I like it) Salad (oil and apple cider vinegar for dressing) and some sort of meat for dinner. Exercise: walking 3 miles Have a wonderful day, Ladies! |
Healthyin2015,
Not trying to be a fussbudget but, smoothies (even though they are from veggies on the Induction foods list) are not Atkins. If you are interested in doing Induction by the book, my advice to you would be more fat and be sure you are getting 12-15 carbs of veggies a day. |
Dear JerseyGyrl,
You are NEVER a "fussbudget" or anything like that. What you are is a wealth of knowledge, kind and helpful. I appreciate you!:) Please let me explain. I read the book (got it from a friend a long time ago). Smoothie is the wrong word. What i do is literally taking one cup of spinach, 2 pieces of broccoli, one slice of pepper and placing them in the Nutribullet with one cup of water. I add absolutely nothing else. This doesn't change the caloric or carb content, just the form it is ingested in. Does that make sense? I mean, I could place all these on a plate and eat them while I drink a cup of water and would be the same thing, just slower to ingest. As for fat, you are once again right. I am eating chicken with the skin on, add oil to my veggies, salad, etc, fry eggs in oil, eat cheese. I did buy some fresh ground pork (nothing added to the meat) today, plan on cooking it and adding it to salads or lettuce wraps. It is yummy and fatty, at the same time. Cheese is tricky for me, I LOVE IT but it is an inflammatory element and flares up my eczema (like all other dairy). I love having a little each day but should only have a couple of times a week, if that. What do you think? What else could I add as healthy fats? Yes, my carbs are mainly from the veggies I eat each day: spinach, broccoli, pepper, cucumber, lettuce. Few carbs are from cheese (when I do eat it, more often than I should), eggs, etc. As always, thank you so very much for taking the time to offer guidance. I am very grateful for your help. Have a great day!:) http://www.3fatchicks.net/img/bar098...165/240.9/.png |

If you can drink veggies mixed with water in a nutribullet....more power to you! I couldn't. But, my question is, WHY??? It certainly can't taste good:barf: Veggies with butter or veggies sautéed in coconut oil sounds much more appetizing:) You will also "kill 2 birds with 1 stone" since you will get your veggies & your fats. Win, win situation. Cheese, although it is permitted on Atkins Induction, is a common staller for a lot of people (myself included). Keeping it to 1 - 2 ozs. every few days has worked for me. Butter, Mayo, Full-fat Salad Dressings, Heavy Cream, Half a small Avocado, Coconut Oil....all excellent sources of fat. Be sure you are also having protein with your fat. In other words, if you are having eggs, have protein with them. If you have a salad for lunch, have a protein with it. I hope this helps. Once you get started, this will soon become 2nd nature. All the best to you!!:) |
Today's weight is 240 (.9 drop)
Today's plan coffee (black) and 2 boiled eggs 1 chicken leg (roasted) with veggies sautéed in either oil or butter Salad with lots of veggies, and more chicken Snack: pork sausage and veggie sticks NO cheese I think I will look at cheese at a once a week (Sunday) treat (in the amount allowed not too much!!) Walk 3 miles. Clean the house! I like a nice, thorough clean on Sunday as during the week I don't have the time for the in-depth type of cleaning. Even if I still have a week off, I will continue this routine as it works for me:D I followed yesterday's plan BUT ate too much cheese!!:nono: JerseyGyrl,:) FANTASTIC ideas, thank you!!! The reason for the not so tasty "smoothie" is lack of time in the morning before going to work. It takes 30 second to do it this way. But, I can sauté them like you said (the night before) for lunch and/or on the weekends, for breakfast. I can also add them to a yummy omelet made with oil or butter! Sometimes, I just don't want to eat the veggies and the darn thing is fast and easy to drink. I will most definitely work on adding more of the fats you mentioned or pay closer attention to naturally fatty foods. Have a great day! wannaskipandlaugh:) I hope that you are having a great day, sticking with it! What did you decide to do with the "forbidden" foods? Lulu NH:) Have a great day! How was dinner with your friends? Later Ladies! |
Healthy.. you are doing great! and Jersey Girl knows the ropes :)
Me.. I still have the bad food here... I am bringing a bunch of my cookies to work today and freezing some. There is nothing left in my fridge now (thank goodness) and I did not take home leftovers from my bad dinner last night. I am still looking for that strength and commitment. You all are showing me it! :) Today.... Breakfast - 1 egg, 1 sausage patty, butter lunch - 3 oz blackened turkey (Boars head) mayo and 1 oz provolone dinner - romaine lettuce and chicken, ranch dressing, shredded cheddar, bacon, bits drinking my good ole ice tea and cold water all day. Here's hoping to being on plan TODAY! |
Breakfast: 4 eggs in butter and bacon grease, coffee with 3 oz heavy cream
Lunch: roast beef, mayo and provolone rolls X 2, Salami, bacon rolls X 5, hard boiled eggs X 2, Cherry peppers X 2 servings and grape tomatoes X 10 (this will also serve as snack through out the day) Dinner: Tilapia in butter and bacon grease and cauliflower with cheese. |
i decided this morning i was starting atkins had a cup of coffee and two eggs now time to go shopping
|
12/29: 239.6
Welcome momtothreebratz:)! Have fun shopping and getting everything you need! jessiegreene, that sounds yummy! I love tilapia!:) wannaskipandlaugh, yes, get rid of the temptations. Best choice and good thinking!:) You are strong, you can do it! I would give all the cookies away either to neighbors, at work or a local soup kitchen, but that is just me. Knowing that I have them, would be too much temptation on difficult days when I struggle with will power. You know what is best for you!:) Plan for today Coffee and 3 boiled eggs, 3 small pickles 2 chicken thighs with salad (1 chicken thigh and salad for lunch, one chicken thigh and salad for dinner). Salad: romaine, pepper, cucumber, a little broccoli, oil and vinegar, salt. Snack on veggie sticks and pork sausage(ground and cooked) Lots of water Start drinking green tea without any sweetener. Walk either 3 miles at 0 incline or 2 miles at highest incline! Good luck and have a wonderful day, Ladies!:D I forgot to share, I am buying beef soup bones today and making bone broth. Google it, it is amazingly healthy and full of amino acids, calcium, natural gelatin, etc. Can't wait to make it! Also, I am getting some zucchini for baking with some Parmesan and sausage! will let you know how they turn out! :) |

Hello everybody!
12/30: 239.1 Today's plan coffee, scrambled eggs chicken, salad beef soup (meat and veggies, salt, pepper) fried zucchini, chicken or pork, salad Yesterday I stuck with the eating part but added some fried zucchini (love that stuff) but didn't walk the miles I initially planned on walking. carvinmom Welcome! That is exactly how I look it at, too: one day at a time! Good luck sticking with it today! wannaskipandlaugh Good job getting back to walking each day! Exercise is always a struggle for me. Yesterday I was so tempted to make bad choices but quickly got on the forum, read LULU NH's inspirational saying for the day and went and looked at people's pics on the GOAL or MINI GOAL section of the forum. The result, I stuck with it and didn't eat :carrot: that pasta I was looking at in the fridge. I can't get rid of foods I shouldn't eat because DH is perfectly healthy and fit, so he can eat anything he wants. I just have to be strong and control myself! jessiegreene I am so sorry that you are not feeling well! Your meals always sound good! I hope you feel better soon! Bought some beef bones to make bone soup. Holy cow they are so expensive, bare bones comparable to meat cuts!!!! Crazy!!!! I also bought some zucchini and I love it sliced and fried in oil with a little salt and pepper. Have a wonderful day Ladies, with good food choices!:) |
Did good today despite immune system rash itching... Missed pt cause of so much snow and 25 below. I have two new knees and degenerative back so my exercising is limited. They let me come in and work on the machines for low impact... my goal is to walk better come spring and get into a healthier lifestyle...glad I've started writing my food log and found great support!!
B. Coffee/cream ,protein drink eas chocolate lunch. Hamburg cheese taco meat on bed of yellow and red peppers Supper two chicken patties with veggies Never good at drinking water.. Got to get more in so maybe I should keep track. Have a good tomorrow , til check in time. Hugs!!! |
I love this thread! Thank you Healthy for starting it! :)
I was good yesterday.. tho I still had 2 cookies... THEY ARE ALL GONE now hooray! no more temptation. I did walk 5 miles last night and it showed as I lost almost 2 lbs... squeezing out the water/fat ! :) How is everyone celebrating tonight? I am treating myself to some cheese and maybe a low carb pizza (see Linda's recipes)... or someone had posted a cream cheese pizza concoction months ago (Jessie???) that I have the recipe for... hmmmmmmmmmm or a salad.. LOL either way... I am ending the year weighing less than last year and that is a win in my book! Today: 1 egg, butter, 2 sausage links and 1 oz cheddar cheese lunch: 3 oz Boarshead blackened turkey/ mayo/provolone roll ups dinner.. see above.. depending if I get off of work early.. or if I can talk a friend into going out - then a cobb style salad! :) Amended: Lunch = Boss bought - Cheeseburger and fries :( Dinner a bowl of popcorn.. then Prosecco, pizza, etc :( bad bad bad I am so honored and glad to be a part of all your lives! Thank you for sharing and CARING! :) LOVE YOU ALL! |
Well my second job called yesterday and told me they needed me asap so I had to go straight from one to the other which resulted in taco bell... :-( as the ladies on the Facebook group say "fail to plan is to plan to fail"
planning on margaritas at home tonight so...... B: 4 eggs in butter and bacon grease coffee with 3 tbsp. HWC L: soup? still cant breath D: margaritas.... |
12/31: 239.3 (.2 gain from yesterday, frustrating!)
My conclusion is that as time passes, exercise is not a choice but a must. I haven't exercised in 3 days, I think, and it can't be good. I also have to be nice to myself and - while pushing myself to stay motivated - not allow myself to feel down and give up. One day at a time! Today's plan Food planned: chicken, sausage, cucumber, salads, sautéed mushrooms, coffee, tea, water. I am not good about the times of day: I might eat a salad for breakfast, sometimes and that is OK. Finish cleaning the house, have it all nice and how I like it. Get something finished for work. Start the New Year with a clean house, prepped foods, a positive attitude, determination and gratitude for all the blessings in my life. carvinmom I am sorry you missed the appt due to bad weather. You have a great attitude and I am sure you will walk comfortably before spring. I also struggle with water intake. I saw a pin on pinterest recently, where people labeled two water bottles. I have a huge water bottle I bought off amazon but cannot drink properly while at work. Here is the pic I found and thought was a good idea! [IMG]http://www.listotic.com/21-weight-loss-tips-youve-probably-never-tried/17/ jessiegreene Things happen. I am so impressed that while sick you still had the strength to perform successfully at both jobs and stay positive. You know, enjoy those margaritas and count them as your total carb, if you want. They even make margarita mix low or no sugar, if I think about it like the Skinny Girl version of booze. wannaskipandlaugh Congratulations on weighing less than last year. That is indeed a wonderful accomplishment. I am also happy to have you Ladies as part of my support system. Thank you! We are not really celebrating today, low key, at home, watching fireworks and the TV. Might not stay up later than midnight as I would rather wake up at a my normal time and start the day right. TRADITIONS AND CHILDHOOD MEMORIES Here are some fun and silly traditions that I have witnessed and heard from my grandma and family growing up. Start the year right: don't over sleep, get out of the house and do something fun so that the whole year you get to do that, wear something new at midnight and have money on you so that you get new things and have money throughout the year. Do things you would like to do all year: exercise, eat right, be nice to yourself and others. Eat 12 grapes and make a wish for each of the 12 seconds before midnight. Hard to do and wouldn't because grapes are high in carbs. Always make a wish and thank God for all the good people, experiences, things in your life that you had the entire year before the year ends (do it at midnight) Now, I know these are just traditions, but they make me smile and remind of good times and dear people. I tend to follow them though (no grapes this year). Funny, I know! Do you have any traditions related to the New Year and New Year's Day? Good luck and have a wonderful day, Ladies!! :) |
Jessiegreene, I'm an admin on one of the Facebook Atkins groups:)

My motto is, if you're gonna do Atkins, do it right! |
Jessie.. I hope you are feeling better and that the 2nd job did not sap your strength! :)
Happy New Years to you all! I send you Happy Wishes and Peace and Joy! :) I am grateful that I can start each new day anew. The slate is clean. Already had 8 oz of water and threw away some stuff. Intention today is to clean out more of my stuff... throw away old freezer food (that's older than 6 months and there is ALOT of that - storing for hurricane season and its over) Going to dinner at my parents. I had asked for my Dad's lasagna last year (when I was NOT following the plan) and my Dad did not make it... Today he is.. sigh... well.... 1 more meal that I will deal with and enjoy and not feel bad about as I had asked and I am grateful that my Dad is here to make it (He is 83) )... so yes.. working on feeling less guilty for my decisions and just looking forward to the next moment when I can decide better! :) Food for the day: Breakfast - 2 eggs/butter/2 sausage patties NO LUNCH Dinner - Romaine lettuce/shredded CCheese/ Ranch and Dad's rolled up Lasagna rolls... LOTS OF WATER! LOL Eating today: |
Hi everyone!
Happy New Year! Today: 238.5 (moving the right direction again) Food choices for today: eggs, coffee, roasted chicken leg, sautéed mushrooms, salad X 2 (lunch and dinner) , pork sausage pattie (made with meat, veggies and egg and fried), zucchini. wannaskipandlaugh Have fun with your family tonight. Their company is so precious! jessiegreene Hope your cold is gone or almost gone! Yes, making it yourself is so much better than buying that stuff. Great choice! JerseyGyrl No nonsense, hardcore Atkins pro YET very kind, supportive polite and respectful. You are an awesome Lady! Take care of yourselves and have a great day! :) |
checking back in, been so busy with new years and family but finally on track today, glad i don't have to work til monday so i can get a good start without the added stress.
|
Happy New Year Ladies....
cant wait to watch us all melt away into all that we can be!!! B: 4 scrambled eggs with 6 cherry tomatoes, 2 TBSP bacon fat and a TBSP butter, 2 TBSP HWC in my coffee L: Pork, steamed cauliflower with butter and cheese D: baked chicken thighs, cabbage fried in bacon fat.... 6 bottles water going to the gym damnit, I have been paying for it for a year and need to do some toning to get this loos skin under control!! |
Hello Ladies!
Today: 239.1 (up .6 from yesterday) Yesterday I didn't follow the my personal plan. I had a chicken sandwich and 2 oranges. I don't feel guilty about it and am certainly not giving up. Today's food choices: coffee, 2 fried eggs, 1 sausage link cucumber, roasted chicken, feta cheese salad with lots of veggies lots of water I am doing what works for me and what has worked in the past: 20 or less grams of carbs, not 100% induction. What I am going to change is this: I am going to have almonds every now and then and carefully count the carbs and also have cottage or feta cheese every once in a while. I am most certainly not going to be hard on myself, after all these foods are Atkins approved even if not all for induction. Following what works best for me keeps me from going for the bad stuff like breads, potatoes, etc, etc, etc. So, moving along and staying positive. jessiegreene You are funny about the gym membership. Great job getting rid of all the tempting alcohol and WOW more power to you for having such incredible will power when it comes to foods!!! :) Abstracted Welcome and best of luck to you! It is great to have you here! :) mom2threebratz :) I actually eat less and am less hungry when I am at work. For me personally, the key is to have lots of food options prepped and ready to go so that I am not tempted to eat bad stuff when I get home. Have a good night Ladies! :) |
Jessie... Good for you going to the Gym.. Heck.. they take your money, they have to take you! :D
Abstracted - Temptation is just the hardest and I understand your feelings... I took get that every day and find it hard to throw away money (food). The sooner it is gone (off plan food) the sooner it is not a temptation. I LOVE cheese too and used to snack on it all the time. Its filling which is nice. Such a lesson this life is for us all! :) Healthy.. you are doing so great! Thank you for your posts and encouragement. I LOVE IT! Everyone else! HELLO New Year and NEW YOU! Just think what you will be looking like/wearing/feeling in just 1 month.. :D Today for me: (ON PLAN!!!!!) Breakfast - 1 egg/butter/1 oz cheddar cheese and 2 sausage links Lunch - -0- Dinner - 2 pieces of Fried Tilapia with melted cheese/mayo and 1/2 a roll. 3 cookies :( yep.. I succumbed :( But I did walk 5 miles... Water with fresh squeezed Meyer lemons from my parents yard Walk tonight? I got a flashlight for Christmas from my walking buddy.. so gonna get my arse out there! |
Hello everybody!
Didn't weigh today knowing that my poor choices the other day would interfere with my numbers for at least a couple of days if not more. I have been very good yesterday and also today. To top it all, I walked today which to me personally is a great accomplishment. Good luck everyone! Tomorrow I plan on prepping foods for the week: lunches, snacks, dinners so that I stay on track. My checking in might move from daily to 2 times a week but that is perfectly OK for me as I am going back to crazy work schedule. We"ll see. All the best :) |
I also send along the SUN to you all! Abstracted.. your day looks good and I wonder if it was a Meyer Lemon you found (THEY ARE as big as an orange! and juicy!) :)
I had to amend my day from yesterday as I was not on plan for dinner.. That was yesterday.. Today I WILL be OP! Breakfast - 2 eggs, 1 oz Cheddar cheese, Butter and 3 sausage links Lunch - Dinner - SALAD.. I have to eat it or throw it! I will eat it LOL Taking down outdoor and indoor Christmas decorations and putting them away and sniffling as this makes me sad (tho good exercise as I have to climb a ladder to take down 60 feet of icicle lights LOL - love my Little Giant ladder!) |
morning all, i'm focusing on drinking my water and planning for the work week
|
Hello Ladies!
Time to face the music here! So, 3 days ago I made some bad choices (chicken sandwich, oranges) in terms of carb content. Jumped right back on the wagon and have been working hard and eating well within the boundaries. This one day messed up my weight loss and delayed my progress for at least 3 or 4 days. So, today (mind you after being VERY good and exercising each day) I got on the scale: 239.7 (still 1.2 gain, 2 days after the bad choices) The conclusion is IT IS NOT WORTH IT!!! The delay and the steps back are a deserved consequence for my choice but DARN it was sooooooo not worth it. So, stay on plan dear friends and all others reading this thread! Today I walked again 3 miles at 0 and 7 incline (alternate every so often). Foods: coffee (black), piece of roasted chicken (yep, that was breakfast and it was delicious) cucumbers and chicken salad, 2 boiled eggs for lunch Salad or roasted veggies and either grilled fish or pork pattie (with eggs and veggies) for dinner. Water: plain and with apple cider vinegar in it (LOVE it, it is so refreshing!) Abstracted Wow, great job sticking with it! Keep up the good work! I LOVE water with lemon in it, just that, no sugar or sweetener! So good! Costco has some amazing lemons and I even saw MEYER lemons there last week. Like Sue said, those are the best, tastiest, juiciest, most flavorful lemons EVER! wannaskipandlaugh I know, I LOVE Christmas and hate putting stuff away. Well, Like Buddy in Elf would probably say: "…only 355 days left till Christmas"! :) :) :) mom2threebratz Same here, getting ready for the work week. Have a relaxing Sunday and a stress free work week! All the best to you and let's make it a good week! :) |
I wasn't so good yesterday and too embarrassed to post what I ate.. grrr... This going totally OP is hard... Gosh Darn Little Voice inside my head!
Today: Breakfast - 1 egg, 2 links, 1 oz cheese Lunch - 4 oz Buffalo Chix mix (chicken,Cream Cheese,Mayo, Wings sauce) Dinner - Cheeseburger (1/2 Ciabatta roll -no no- where did those rolls come from ..booo need to make some miracle low carb rolls Oppsie rolls.. Linda's???) walking tonight?! I hope so! MADE 4.25 miles |
Have internet troubles. Workin now but shuts off on me.. urrrrrr...tech on his way
|
Hello Ladies,
Making progress and seeing small but positive results after a long delay due to my own bad choices! I have been back on Induction foods exclusively to get back into ketosis. Thank God it's working. Today: 238.7 Today's foods: coffee, 2 boiled eggs roasted chicken, cucumbers, bell peppers, oil, salt, pepper Chicken salad, veggie salad Water Abstracted Nice job and congrats on sticking with it and seeing results! Yes, I only use the apple cider vinegar with the mother, Braggs brand and I can find everywhere even Walmart. Maybe check the specialty or health section of a regular grocery store might help. I don't know…it all depends on what stores we have nearby. carvinmom Hope you got the internet problems fixed! wannaskipandlaugh Back on plan is the plan! You can do it. Like Lulu said, it is tricky till you are back on it 100% but you sure feel so much better once you do. I know that first hand, we all do… YOU are important and worthy. You deserve the best health and results you wish for. YOU CAN DO IT!!!! :) Have a wonderful and restful night. Oh, I am posting in the evening since that is when I have a little time but I do weigh in first thing in the morning. Good luck tomorrow. May we all have a great day with good and healthy food choices! |
Abstracted... I wish I could send you some of our monster Meyer lemons.. my parents tree is full of them... Come down to Florida! :)
Carvin.. I hope that your computer gets up and running Healthy.. Sleep is such an important thing for life and for health! :) I thank you too for your encouragement! :) I am trying my darndest to get 100% on plan and will post once I do it 1 day... then the 2nd day will be easier. I am good 2/3rds of the day.. something about dinner and being alone and its after the holidays and I am alittle sad/depressed .. but at least I walk and talk! :) I will still be here and cheering you all on! I need to find my blinders.. they must be hiding somewhere! |
Howdy again!
Today - Tuesday: same weight 238.7 Foods: coffee, eggs pork patties (pork sausage, eggs, mushrooms, bell peppers, egg, salt, pepper, fried) Big salad with lots of veggies, oil, vinegar, salt, pepper, roasted chicken Water: NOT enough No planned exercise, just being on my feet for +8 hours at work. I have been on plan and feeling great. I know that there are ups and downs in terms of seeing numbers going down. I am OK with the scale not moving and knowing that I stayed on plan. Hopefully tomorrow it will show a smaller number. wannaskipandlaugh OK, you are right and 100% entitled to feel sad and even upset, at times. There is a positive side to it (finding something good even in a bad situation, kind of thing): being alone means you can make your own choices without being (food wise) tempted by others in the house. I know I struggle when others around me eat carb filled meals without putting an ounce on……ARGH!!!! Is there something that could brighten the evenings? A fun or new hobby maybe? Could a non-food related incentive be a motivator such a trip somewhere you have always wanted to go, tickets to a concert or cool show/musical/etc, clothes, enroll in a fun class, a day at a spa, I don't know…….just honestly trying to be supportive and think what might work for me and that it might work for others. How about a competitive streak: "I am going to win and get to my goal before others do!" hahaha I mean, anything that might help. People at work are doing a Biggest Loser type of thing. I am thinking about it. I am concerned as 10% of my weight is so much more weight than 10 % for a small person…… Not sure about this one, but an idea. The winner gets a lot of money, each person puts 25 or $ 50 down. Please don't feel bad about struggling, we all do and try hard to get back together. We are all here for you as you are always here for us! You are amongst friends here! :) Abstracted AMAZING drop and sticking to it! carvinmom, mom2threebratz Hope you are doing well and having a good week! Happy Hump Day :) tomorrow and have a fantastic rest of the week! |
