Welcome Lori..

I just came back from weigh in and I lost another pound, so that makes me happy..

Skelley, glad this way of life is going well for you. Are you in Phase 2 ?

Wishing you all a great weight loss week.

skelley331 06-15-2015 11:13 AM

rpm3060:

I guess you could say I'm in phase 2, I still don't eat any fruit yet, doing all induction foods still and I stay around 20-30 net carbs. Seems to work for me, I'm going to wait until I get to goal weight then start adding back in foods.

I do not eat fruit, either.. I also will wait till I hit my goal weight before adding foods back.. I am happy with how I am doing..

Thanks

Thanks everyone. Stuck with my plan yesterday and today.

B -bacon 2 pieces
L - scrambled eggs w/ cheese and bacon -3pieces
S - 1/2 c. Tomatoes
D - 4oz grilled steak, 1/2 avocado and 2 sm tomatoes

What app do you recommend to figure out fat, protein and carbs for meals? But need to figure out ratios.

Thanks.

myfitnesspal.com is great and it's free
I have my ratios at 5% carbs, 30% protein, 65%fat

Day 9 and all is well. I should have some new scales by Friday, so I can then see how things are going weight-wise. The diet is good. I have not had any cheats at all and I am adjusting to the acceptable induction foods well. I can tell I certainly have more energy and my clothes are becoming looser.

I stayed close to my DW Roberta today. She is feeling dizzy again tonight at 11 PM so I took her blood pressure 83/53 which is way low for her. :?::?:

Day 10 and still staying perfect on the induction foods. I know for sure I am loosing weight now as my pants are becoming increasingly loose. I have had Chipotle salad twice in the 10 days, but kept it to lettuce, onions, green peppers, cheese, sour cream, green salsa, guacamole and chicken.

Josh

Gbtwinsmommy2015 06-17-2015 09:07 PM

Hope your wife is feeling better.

Joined the gym today with my husband and kids. Need to take the Aqua Zumba class or walk in the pool.

Joining gym is a wonderful step towards your challenge.. My hubby and I walk each night, fast mode, walk for probably an hour or so, less if it is intense heat as it is now in the south.

DW is doing good. We are checking her BP daily and so far so good. We see our primary care doctor this coming Thursday and we will find out what she thinks.

I have spent hours and hours doing heavy carpentry work in our back yard. Bright Sunshine, 97 degrees and super high humidity. Seems like I have been taking three or four showers every day. At least it is good exercise and a big calorie burn. I am drinking lots of water. I have increased my water intake and I am up to drinking 150 ounces a day now. Plain water from our well with nothing added to it. We are lucky we have exceptioally good tasting well water

Today I had another 2 pound loss and I have broken into the 260's now. :D:carrot::D

Not bad when you consider that exactly two months ago on the 19 of April I weighed 307 and now I weigh 269 :D:D

skelley331 06-20-2015 09:23 AM

Ok weighed in this morning no gain no loss not sure what is going on but will try and figure it out I actually had a great week but I'm getting so close to my goal I'm wondering if I should move to phase 2

Gbtwinsmommy2015 06-20-2015 04:59 PM

B - bacon - I was in a hurry to get out of the house.
L - avocado, tomato, shrimp
S - grilled pork
D - cheeseburger, dill pickle, roasted green beans

It has been a decent week. Still not weighing until Monday morning for the week though. Next week I probably need to cut back on salt and do a better job of finding good recipes. We grill a lot so first week hasn't been too tough.

We have raspberry plants in our backyard and they are producing gorgeous berries everyday. I am freezing 1/2 cup serving size bags for post induction.

rpm3060 06-21-2015 04:44 PM

Larry...

You are doing so well. Be proud of yourself.. Glad wife is doing better.

rpm3060 06-22-2015 10:37 AM

I weighed in this morning and did not gain but did not lose.. I am sort of on phase 2, but did not add fruit , etc..

I am disappointed, as the only thing I did add was some veggies, and they were not the high carb ones.. I never went off program during this week.

rpm3060:
That's what happened with me Saturday, I did really good all week didn't go off plan and didn't gain but didn't lose either. I am to sort of on phase 2 and I haven't added any fruit or anything else yet. I have just increased my veggies from phase I so I'm not sure what is going on. I'm 14 lbs from my goal and thinking maybe I need to increase my calories a little. I average about 1250-1300 a day. I'm going to wait until I weigh in this Saturday and see what happens before changing it up.

Gbtwinsmommy2015 06-22-2015 06:40 PM

S-cheese stick
L-cheeseburger, tomatoes, dill pickle
S-pork chop
D-stuffed zucchini

Having a great weekend camping with my DH and was very surprised at my weigh in this morning, down2.4 lbs yahoo😬😬

FickleHearts 06-27-2015 09:45 PM

Gonna jump in!

I tend to flub on weekends. This one so far no exception

L- lasagna in a mug (great recipe I found on a low carb site)
D- Steak, broccoli in garlic sauce, green beans, shrimp, house salad with no dressing, and

sigh

honey bbq wings

UGH

That's okay. Not going to get too upset. I slipped, it happens. At least it wasn't the milkshake or cold stone I usually have on Saturday. And I have left over steak for tomorrow which means...... drumroll........ Steak and Eggs!

It's been a crazy day LOL.

Anywho, hello everyone!

A great day today. :D:carrot::D

Lost another 2 pounds

This makes 40 pounds lost on Atkins

I have been super busy building a project in the HOT Florida Sun :sunny: and HIGH HUMIDITY. :dizzy:

I have been building an enclosed trailer to tow my motorcycle to the Albany area of New York State. DW and I head North to visit our children and grandchildren leaving on July 7th. My son and both grandsons as well as my stepdaughter all ride motorcycles and I am so looking forward to this trip.
