Am open to any snack ideas one wants to share..
Thanks
RPM My snacks are, Hard boiled eggs, Dill Pickles, Pepperoncini, Spanish Olives (Green), Cheddar cheese and my favorite snack is Radishes with salt. I carefully read the labels on the Dill Pickles, Pepperoncini and Spanish Olives to make sure they have no natural or artificial sweeteners. I have to be careful with cheese because the calories add up quick. I found that I lose best if I keep my calories at or below 1400. My main emphasis is tracking Carbs, Fat and Protein but I can't forget calories. I make sure to track ALL my snacks in MFP as well as my meals. The thought "Oh this little bit won't hurt" always bites me in the butt.

Almost forgot my great news:

I went Monday for preventive health care testing. Had a heart scan for the first time and a vascular scan and blood work done. Drum roll please!!! All my test came back perfect!!!
Was so excited. I got a picture of my heart scan and all my vascular test were clear, no blockage in my veins got to hear my hear beat for the first time ever! All this for $79 can't beat it. I don't have to go back for 4 yrs. My cholesterol was 199, blood pressure 108/58!!!
Atkins is treating me good.

An interesting day today. Started with a trip to my eye doctor this morning for a follow up check. My last visit he said I had the precurser to macular degeneration and said to take vitamins and prescribed an eye ointment for each night. Good news the deteriation has been arrested. His exam showed no change from the last exam. This afternoon it was the Gastroenterologist turn. He said it was time for an EGD scope of my esophogus again and he scheduled it for June 9th. I have a condition called Barrets Esophogus caused by acid reflux. Their is danger of cancer developing there but so far so good. Hoping for good news on Tuesday.

A little low on calories today. Only 947 and I am full. Carbs were great at 7g

Default Atkins Induction Day 45

WOW!! Another 2 pounds lost today

That makes 30 pounds in 45 days on Atkins.

When I was calorie counting my weight refused to budge even when I started eating 900 calories. I went for months without a loss. I decided to see if Atkins would wake up my Metabolism and it sure did.

I have MFP set at 1400 Calories, 5% Carbs, 65% Fat and 30% Protein.
This formula sure is working well for me.

I wanted to report a friend of mine's success with Atkins. She does not use a computer, and she gave me ok to report the following which I hope will inspire some..

She is on the 20-25 carb program , and on it 30 days has lost 19 pounds and she is delighted... She was on MRC with me, and on maintenance for two years, and then she could not maintain no matter what she tried, so she is real happy here. She gets weighed in at her gym once a week as her accountability. She has upped her carbs to 30 to see how she does.

This program does work, and you can eat real food without all the supplements, protein drinks, etc. that other weight loss places make one buy.

Skelley...

You are doing so well.. I know you said you were on MRC previously...

I have purchased items from Diet Wise that I still have and this morning I tried the BariWise drink BW202. I will see how weight is when I use it..
Calories are 60, fat is 0, carb less than 1 gram, sugars less than 1 gram and protein 15 grams.
