Now, that I have my own ticker, how will I make this a permanent feature of my reply box?

Thanks!

alura: edit your signature in our profile - that's where you add cut and paste in your ticker links

It sounds like some major milestones folks! One of us in her "skinny" jeans, another approaching 200land and another in ONDERLAND. Seriously, we're rocking this thing along so good.

I struggled horribly Saturday. My friend left a big carton of leftover bland pasta and white cheese sauce stuff. I fought so hard. I did not binge, but I was miserable. I did break down for some sonic ice cream, but I could have eaten that plus the pasta if I just let go of myself. I fought and struggled. I paced. I griped. I vented online. I was in absolute misery over a little thing like bland pasta junk. Then Aunt Flo arrived and it all made sense. wow, I practically maintained my resolve through PMS. HMMM, not so bad.

I'm still hanging around. I'm not doing strict Atkins, more like OWL as very low carb made me feel terrible for too long. I think my thyroid (levels are good) and metabolism have just been shot and it now makes me feel tired and cranky. I'm also doing intermittent fasting for my joint pain and inflammation so this should be interesting LOL!

I still have a goal of 15 pounds by New Years and I feel I can reach it! I'lll hang out here more now that I know what I'm doing.

Welcome all new people to this challenge! It's great to see so many people want to change their lives

So glad to see so many here! Sorry haven't been as active be in here but I do read every day -And I'm down 1.4 this week yay! Still dealing with the cold/sinus issues and now have a mouth with ulcers on both sides (flare of LP - had to be the shortest remission in history I swear) so I've been a tad cranky.

So for everyone celebrating Thanksgiving next week what are the plans to get thru it? And Sask what did you do to get thru yours a few weeks ago? My plan is to avoid the stuffing completely (I really love mine and it won't be mine so why have it if it isn't exactly what I love - right?) I will be bringing the mashed cauliflower (still trying to work out a perfect recipe for that) I wil have whatever vegetable there is and of course turkey. I'm making my MIL's jello recipe which if I did it with sugar free jello woulnt be a real problem but I don't love it enough to make a separate one for me that way. I am thinking about doing a pumpkin crustless pie or something for a dessert ... But that will depend on my energy level in the week coming up. Anyone have a good recipe for something like that?

I'm also going to have a wonderful brunch before we go so I will be FULL of wonderful food that will hold me over and keep me strong. It is only 1 meal and I can do it! For the next month or so I may be breaking things down into one meal - one snack at a time but I will get to the new year with less of me and no cravings and blood work that will be super again for my appointment with the cardiologist on January 4th and he will be as excited by my continued success this time as he was the last. I keep up with him as preventative (because of family history) and not because of problems of mine that make me go to him.

The biggest challenge will be getting hubster home and cleaned up in time to drive to our nieces for Thanksgiving (an hour drive) - it is opening day for duck hunting - seriously they couldn't make it a day later. And it will be him, our nephew and BIL out there but I am only worrying about the hubster.

Can I join too? My weight the day you started this thread was 182, so I need to get to 167. That does seem like a lot!

SW: 182
GW: 167

CW: 181

I lost 17lbs in October between low-fat/low-cal diet and exercise. Losing so much in a month, I am/was expecting a plateau. My knee is also really starting to bother me and I don't want to blow it completely so I'm taking a break from the gym and attempting Atkin's again. Today is day 2 of Induction.

Thanks!

Go to User CP, then click Edit Signature. There will be a box to put your new ticker in, and it will always post.

Thanx.

I hear you on the turkey, turkey turkey! Worst part is I don't even like roast turkey! Has to be smoked. Although deep fried isn't as bad as roasted.

Allura - It is great that you lost the first time from only verbal instruction! And looks like you are off to a great start this time.

MsGetRight - How's Detroit? Congrats on WL!

Rukidding - congrats on WL!

Linsy - looks like good eating plans

LaCreadora - welcome

Violet - I find that I feel much better eating when I just have a plan.

Rho - I plan to stay mostly OP and only get one tablespoon of my two favorites - dressing and sweet potatoes, three if there is pecan pie. But only for one meal. All others only turkey and salad or green beans. I am also providing tossed salad or maybe broccoli cauliflower salad made with splends. Tip for the smashed cauliflower if you haven't tried it, teaspoon of mustard and 1/2 cup of your favorite shredded cheese per head.

Pockets - welcome

Down to 198 today. Excited to possibly make challenge goal before dec and make a new goal!
