Ok, the best way I can explain how to multi quote is to click on the quotation marks that are by the "quote" button. It will turn orange. Then go to the next post and click on it and it will turn orange. Then when you have all the posts you want to respond to, you click on "post reply" on the left. You need to respond to each post after the words "Quote" in brackets on each individual post or at the bottom of all, however you want to do it. I hope this makes sense

I have a tendency to have great plans but get sidetracked along the way - last night I paused the tv and got up to make the morning coffee - on the way I went to the bathroom went into the kitchen saw the dishwasher was done so unloaded it - scrubbed the sink, took something out of the freezer for dinner the next day, got a glass of water, filled my water filter pitcher and my humidifier and went in the living room and sat down and turned on the tv - guess what I totally forgot.... Had to get up again to make the coffee
I am impressed you did all that other stuff Rho! I am blind to chores like that in the evening. Though bummer about having to get up again to do the coffee

I like to add things I've already done to my lists, it makes me feel more accomplished :-)

I got a ticker!! I'm just not sure what weight to put, it still has my starting weight. I ate a tonne of bread last night, and didn't weigh myself this morning. I suspect the water weight damage is bad. It was much easier when I didn't think there were any tasty gluten free breads available at my local supermarket. It is so hard to get back on track when you fall off but I am determined to try over and over and I guess that's all I can do? I don't feel like it's all ruined, which is a major step forward for me, attitude wise. But man, I feel like I'm going to be in the mid 170s for ever! (still, I remember I felt like that about the mid 180s and, well, I escaped them eventually!)

My goal is to get out of the 170s by new years, which means 10 pounds from my start weight with this thread. I figure then I can spend January/February battling the 160s, March/April battling the 150s, May/June in the 140s and July/August in the 130s. We'll see!

Gonna come back and post later but had a question. I'm going to make a soup today and want input

I have a pork roast I will take some of and julienne going to use chicken broth and add bok choy, shiitake mushroom, the pork, some ginger, garlic (tiny bit) shoyu, and sesame oil and green onion at the end - probably will put a few splashes of Rooster Sauce on in my dish .... Anyone have any thoughts on this .. What to add, carb count etc ... I have the worst headache neck ache, and sinus today hoping it will help my sinus at least and be comfort food for the rest - hubby has a dinner meeting so I don't have to cook for him tonight yay.

Going to stand in a hot shower for about an hour and will come back

That sounds yummy Rho! I don't know what Rooster sauce is, but the rest of it all sounds low carb.

Finally updating my ticker. I don't like the number, but the carb cravings have gone so hopefully the water weight will go soon too.

Rho your soup sound delish...will you cyber share?

Idk about the Rooster Sauce either, but the rest does sound LC like Anabee said. So, curious minds wanna know...what is Rooster Sauce?

I hope you feel better!

Anabee, I'm so happy for you that the carb dravings are gone! They are for me too and it's a great feeling! I'm feeling really great this time on LC and I'm SO happy! It definitely works and we will all lose weight by sticking with it

I lost a post to cyberspace it seems so if two show up sometime you know why

Rooster sauce is Sriracha sauce - yummy - in fact I love it so much I mix it in ketchup too (low sugar ketchup of course) I love spicy things hubby just likes wasabi and horseradish so I have a variety of hot sauces I put into things on my plate.

I didn't get the soup made today - tomorrow though for sure. A friend I'm teaching knitting to stopped by and I helped her get started on a sweater for her new grandson..

Anabee any number that goes down is a good - no it's a great number - and not having the carb cravings is huge! Be sure to drink lots of water it helps get rid of water and also I swear it helps with weight loss. I didn't drink enough today so I need to try for some more tonight. Dang autocorrect tries to make your name Annibel lol

Still feeling kinda punky

Oh I don't know if this will help anyone else - on my tracker I just do 5 lbs at a time as a goal - it is an achievable goal - If I put the total number down it would freak me out I'm this ><close to hitting 50 lbs lost doing it 5 lbs at a time.. I only need to do that almost 2 more times and I will be where I want to be. 5 lbs at a time.. I can hang on for 5 more lbs - mind games I know but it helps me.

Oh well I think I will go work on the shawl I'm knitting and read a new book after I go drink a glass of water and get some seltzer

I started doing WW on May 31 and I stressed about food and points ALL THE TIME - I did lose 15 lbs by the time I changed to LC (still obsessively tracking the points to be sure it fell in the points) around 7/20 .... I kept my online WW membership for about a month so I could be sure it was working ... Then I cancelled it.... I was actually doing totally LC from the 7/20 date I was just still stressed about points etc - making it way harder than it should have been. Once I gave up the whole point thing life was so much easier.

I do track my carbs on an app I like because it is easy and while it show calories, fat, fiber etc the main thin it tracks is Carbs .. CarbsControl. I love it - the one thing I really really wish they would work on that would make it almost perfect would be if it had the ability to sync between devices -- I might have my iPod with me during the day but I use my iPad other times - it would be SUPER if it showed any changes on both...

this is such a hard time for any weight loss program but for me the challenge helps keep me motivated but I understand how hard it can be - maybe being such a hard time I should have made it a 10 lb challenge (heck i haven't gone off at all and I dont think i will make 15lbs) which would have been better but we will start a new one Jan 1st and I bet we will have lots of folks join in and do really well. Which will be a great start to the new year.

Even if people use the challenge to maintain or keep from quitting and come back with a fresh start it's a good thing..

I swear I'm not cyber-stalking you, but this thread seems to get more traffic. I know what you mean about the challenge. I think my 26-lb. challenge by Jan. 25th is going to be too much for me. I should have lowered it to 15. I may, still, but I really want to get to 206!

Hehehehe on the cyber stalking comment -

I track my weight loss daily on a notepad on my computer and another page for weekly losses both are so I can track trends - it seems I average a loss of about 1.5 a week -- so the best I would hope for would be another 10.5 by the 25th of January from today - of course I would hope for a bonus loss but that would be where I would set it. And I figure if I don't make it exactly I've still lost whatever the number I end up with. Like I said, I may not make this challenge of 15 lbs - not because I have gone off plan and eaten carbs but because of eating out and at parties and eating more good things ...

Right now my main goal is the 50lbs then I will be able to concentrate on that last little bit of the challenge

I've been looking at DVDs of walking programs -- Leslie Sansone and the biggest loser ones - I am hesitating because I've had some achellies tendon issues and wish I knew how that would effect that... I need to get back to the local Rec Center to walk but I thought this would help get me in shape for that and I could still do it if I don't go because of weather, health etc. plus I don't think they would take up a huge amount of floor space (small rooms)

Good morning!

And it is, I think I've dropped that water weight because I was at 174.1 this morning. Ah, hello old friend 174, LOL. That's the number I come back to over and over and over again. Will try and keep focused so it stays the highest weight from now on and not mid-lowest/bottom.

I find this thread great to keep me on track, though I don't have any hope of losing 15lbs in the time we have left, it's better than staying the same or gaining 15lbs :-) I don't feel burdened by that new years 'deadline' at any rate, and I hope no one else does either.

Violet, that's great you are feeling so much better! I'm glad you were able to stay with LC.

Rho, 50 pounds is awesome! I love your mini-goals, that's a good way to focus.

4myloves, I keep reading your user name as "Amyloves" :-)

rho: thanks for your concern. Like your list idea. I make lists, but usually I'm okay if I just get it mostly done. I consider it "multiday flexible" lists. I just keep it running through the next day and the next....

Also: WAY TO GO RHO!!!

I weighed in yesterday - 236.8 - slightly over where I left off, but then TODAY 235.8 - that's a little under where I left off. So, here we go again with the on plan days. Today, was TOTALLY on plan. SUWEET! Yesterday I was only off plan by 2 bites dark chocolate. not too bad. Today I resisted doughnut breakfast at a work meeting. Then leftovers from a buffet (that included some luscious lookin' twice baked taters I must say).

Breakfast: coffee with cream - avoided free doughnuts
Lunch: BBQ salad at work
Supper: hot pork skins, roast beef, salsa, cheddar cheese - nachos sort of?
Snack: 1/2 cup flavored coffee (yum)

Anabee: no worries girl. Weight lost is always a victory, and just think, most of the rest of the folks are gaining right now.
