Sitting here waiting for my dd and gc to arrive. I did go out to the RV and wiped out the oven and swiffered the kitchen floor, oh, and "made" the bed...actually all I did was throw the comforter over the mattress and arranged the pillows nicely. Figure I don't need to put sheets on it. Also brought in a big box of stuff that I had accumulated to bring in but had too much in my hands last time. It was heavy but I managed to get it to the patio door and my dh took it from there. If we don't end up selling, we'll have a lot of repacking to do! but even so I'm still leaving a lot out there. Just figure there are somethings people really don't want to see and I don't want it to look cluttered.
Nothing now to do until dh pulls it up so we can put out the slide-out.
Went grocery shopping this morning, so that's done for the week unless I think of something I really need.

Marie - I don't think the hot flash had anything to do with that really bad cramp as I get them off and on during the night but of course being upset can bring them on too. Didn't get much sleep last night but no cramps and I have not had another one that bad since. Oh, Marie, there is synching with Loseit! I used it for a while and it worked very well. I just got tired of having to enter my personal foods and so often they were not in it. Right now I'm halfway back to using CalorieKing again...no synching but I like the way it is set up with snacks between meals. So many have the snacks at the end and I can get mixed up with that. That's interesting about the tonic water/quinine. I only take the quinine for the cramps occasionally but I am scared of it as I've always heard it's very dangerous. But it sure does work for cramps. When I had that one really really bad cramp, it took a few minutes longer to take effect but I feel sure it is what finally made it go away. Usually they go away very quickly after I take it. I'm glad you mentioned this about the platelets though and I'll make sure I don't take much. I have mentioned the cramps to my doctor a couple times but he doesn't seem to have any advice.

Karen31 - loved the joke!!

Teagranny - I'm not really one who makes the best choices and to me you are doing great! A plateau will end at some point so hang in there and remember at least you are not gaining. I have heard that when you reach a plateau that seems to not end, do something like extra exercise, or drop a favorite food, as it can spur a drop. I've even heard that if you eat a bit more (100-200 cal) one day and then drop back down that can do it. But don't want to tempt you to eat too much so be careful please as you have done so well up to this point.

Well, dh is calling me to watch Judge Judy with him..so gotta run...LOL that might be another "guilty pleasure" for me I guess. I love to hear Judge Judy give it to those lazy bums who think everyone owes them a living! My dd says how can you watch that? And I said because she gets to say things I want to but can't.

Mary, thanks for the info about LoseIt! synch ability. I just googled it and saw the screen shot of the new version (that I've been using since it came out but never "wanted" an account). I'll play with it. Great info. Thanks!

Yes, I’m still among the living..have been trying to catch up on posts, but it looks like you all have been posting fast and furious. The Cape is finally hot and summer-like…got to 83 degrees this pm. My vegie garden is doing great…harvesting lots of lettuce and spinach.

Hi and welcome Debbie. Carbs are my downfall too, I’m afraid. I have switched to whole grain breads, however, and avoid the sweetest things like donuts…except at church coffee hour.

Rie – I agree – lovely photo in your avatar. Glad your testifying went well. Glad you were safe from the T-storm.

Gayle – I can identify with after-dinner eating. I was on an ice cream binge last week and gained a couple of pounds as a result. Now I have those 100 calorie yogurt desserts in the fridge and they seem to satisfy me.

Rosey – Love you photos and the swing in the house. Your gd is lovely. Congrats on the deck stair climbing too.

Mary – are the grandkids there yet? Have fun! I know you will!!

Lynn – I like the sounds of your eating plan..I have stuff in the kitchen that’s been there forever and I should use it. Hope you GPS recovers!

Hi Freda! Zoe is on a much-needed vacation on the RI beaches. The weather here has been fantastic so I’m sure she is getting very tan.

Donna – hope you’re not getting all that smoke from the forest fires!

Tea – Stay strong. You’ll get off this plateau soon

Karen – Thanks for the laugh. Love the pool photo of you.

Marie – Interesting about the quinine and blood cells. You look like you are very active from your photo.

Sherry – Glad you had a good visit with your friend. (Go Bruins!!)…Sorry…I couldn’t resist, being in MA and all!

As for my past working life…I was a camp counselor for many summers for a girls camp in NH. Lots of babysitting as a teen. Worked for an environmental consulting firm in Oswego NY, counting fish and doing water chemistry, worked for the Occupational Health and Safety Administration, more environmental consulting, then a Health and Safety specialist for J&J. Now work part-time helping Srs. In their homes, but mostly enjoy being retired.

Well, enough at the computer. Have a good week everyone!!

Hey GGs,
Looks like it’s been pretty busy around here the last couple of days. Lots of people checking in!

Debbie, did you resist the rest of those rolls? They’re one of my favorite things, especially with real butter! Good thing I just got through eating, & I’m pretty full, cause I’m pretty sure I’ve got some in my freezer! Yikes, I need to forget that!

Rie, thanks for your compliment (but I don’t think I can do “adorable”). I now have about 4 hats & 3 caps, & I intend to add to my collection, depending on what I can find at the thrift stores & on clearance. Now to figure out a good, easily accessible, place to keep them! And I’ll try to get pics the next time I have my camera out (I need to be trying out that tripod SO made for me). Glad you survived the tornado scare & crazy drivers, unharmed.

Mary, thank you too. And YES! YES! YES!, if you like wearing hats go for it! I’ve finally gotten past the feeling silly thing (Yay!), & now I’m starting to forget all about them when I have them on. And I still find the comment made by my SO (“you’re old, no one cares how you look!”), incredibly “freeing” (I really do, Donna!). That’s what I tell myself when I start to think I look silly, & then I just don’t worry about it.

Gayle, sorry you’re still having a hard time staying away from food in the evenings. That’s always been the worst time for me too. That’s why I always have my nighttime snack. And I always wait til the latest time possible to eat it. (I always wait at least 30 minutes after eating before going to bed.) I can stay away from other food, knowing I have that to look forward to. While I’m waiting, I try to decide just what snack I will have, it has to be just right, & really “hit the spot”. There have been a few times it took me so long to decide, it ended up being too late to eat it.

Rosey, you just continue with those NSVs! I really envy you that swing in your living room. I WANT ONE! I’ve tried & tried to figure out somewhere in my house to put one, but…… I live in a mobile home! No room, & nothing strong enough to hang it from. But, I haven’t given up, I’m still thinking! (Look out SO! - that usually means more work for him!) oh, & lots of interesting things you’ve done, lady!

I have to agree with everyone else here who has said that being retired is their best job. I’ve never had any really interesting jobs, mainly due to lack of education and/or ambition. Mostly store clerk or factory worker. Some I enjoyed, some not so much. I “retired” myself about 10 years ago, after working a little over a year as a “packer”, at a plant where they cut long rolls of paper into short ones, for adding machines & cash registers. My job was to grab the rolls of paper off a conveyer belt (5 at a time) & put them in a box. Bet you thought that was done by a machine - I did, til I started work there! Had to be the most boring job in the world, & speed was the most important job qualification! Not my strong point. Don’t know how I made it a year! After I left there in tears one afternoon, because the “nice” boss (there was also a “mean” one) yelled at me for not being fast enough, I decided I’d had enough! Never went back! Then I sort of got drafted into doing in-home daycare for the next 4 years - relatives & friends kept asking me to babysit their kids. Finally said enough to that too, & have been “officially” retired for 6 years now & I love it.

Lynn, it’s really good of you to spend time with your friend with Alzheimer’s. I’m sure it must be hard. You make me feel really guilty, because, for several months now, I’ve been putting off visiting my friend. She has Huntington’s and is in a rest home now. I think her mind is mostly ok, but it’s hard to tell because she doesn’t say much. My mom & another friend & I, had been picking her up & taking her out to lunch about once a month, but then she had a bad spell & got violent, & had to be put in the hospital while they adjusted her medications. Her daughters say she’s ok now, but I’m a little concerned about taking her out. She has a really hard time controlling her movements, & I’ve read on the internet that people with this disease have a hard time swallowing & often choke, & falls are also a danger. That scared me. Maybe I’m just making excuses! I’m going to have to meet with one of her daughters, & find out the best thing to do, because I’d hate for her to think we’ve just forgotten her! About your new eating plan, I really ought to try that. Several weeks ago I finally went through my freezers (I have one upright & two refrigerators) & made an inventory. I probably have enough food to last for months! I’ve been trying to use stuff up, but I still keep buying. Just can’t resist it if it’s on sale for a really good price!

Freda, thanks for the advice. Most of the time SO’s DD (I guess I really should refer to her as my step-daughter, I usually do, & she usually tells people I’m her step-mother), & I get along pretty good. It’s just that sometimes…… I think she’s like her dad & likes to “push my buttons”. I mentioned Mary’s idea about them doing something together - just the two of them, & as I expected, they showed no interest in the idea. I’m the one she always talks too, not him. Guess I should take that as a compliment. And, things are looking up, because she got the internship she’d been trying for. She’ll be working Mon., Tues., & Wed., 8AM to 4PM (& she gets paid for it), & she plans to keep working part-time at the local grocery store. So, I shouldn’t be seeing to much of her. Yay! Boy I’m mean!

Donna, glad you’re getting to enjoy some time with your family. Sorry about that ant problem. Where I lived before, I had to fight that battle every summer. And the ants always won! Thank goodness (knock on wood!) I don’t have that problem here. Good luck!

Maureen, you just hang in there. Look how far you’ve come! We all know how frustrating it is when that scale won’t move, but just maintaining is almost as hard (harder?) as losing some times. So you’re doing great!

Thanks for the humor KarenMO. I can always use a laugh.

Marie, good to see you again. Thanks for the tip on the hummingbirds (wonder why the store-bought food is red?). You know, I actually do feel lots better now that I’ve lost weight. But, I’m not at all “active”, except for walking, so no injuries. And thanks for the “double date night” idea. You’re right, that could work! About inviting your sister here, I think it’s a good idea. However, I’ve invited many people, friends & family, & none of them have even checked it out.

Hi! Sherry. Glad you had fun with your friend. Hi! to you too Lyn. 83 degrees? Right now that sounds nice & cool. We keep having 90's!

I've been typing this for hours now! Wow am I long-winded!!! Sorry! I'll shut up now. And, I hear thunder. Probably need to shut down this computer! Bye.

Hello Golden Girls!

I had a good day today. 60 minutes of aerobics this morning and an OP eating day, so far.

It is dreary and raining here today. I usually like spring rains but I am pretty tired of it. But, in a couple weeks I will be complaining about the heat!

I am so impressed with all the jobs that this group has done! So many lifetimes and so many experiences. I value all the experiences I had, even the ones that I didn't like so much at the time.

Lyn, nice to hear from you. Enjoy the lettuce and spinach. It is all so much better when fresh.

How's it going Debbie? Are you enjoying the Golden Girls?

Gayle - I can also identify with after dinner eating. The only way that I have been able to control this is I plan what my evening snack is going to be in advance. It helps me and I then focus on "when" to eat it, rather than what I am going to eat. It is a very hard battle. These days I really enjoy desert yogurts - anything that is portion controlled for me.

Rosey – I love your photos. I love the glimpses of your home. It looks exactly like my idea of a home in Alaska. Terrific.

Mary – enjoy those grandkids.

Lynn –Great eating plan. I love it. Our fridge has become much more limited since I have developed healthier eating plans. Here in Montana, many of the fresh food is more expensive. We have limited that by shopping by lists and making sure that we use what we have. I probably eat too muched canned veggies and stuff as a result, but we do what we can. Good for you for spending time with your friend. I know that it is heartbreaking sometimes.

Donna – Enjoy the time with your brother. Is it still hot in Denver? It is such a pretty place. I went to CSU for grad school so I spent a lot of time there. Is there still a mexican place that is called the "Blue___" downtown somewhere?

Tea – Hang in there. It will pass. At least the scale isn't going up.

Karen – Great joke. Thanks!

Marie – I appreciate the idea of the tortoise and the hare. I guess we all need to be reminded of that. I'm with you. I often have more aches and pains than I did before because of my activity. I think you should do what you want regarding inviting your sister. For what it's worth, I have shared lots of stuff with others who need support but I have refrained from sharing 3FC. I guess this is my own place. I decided if others find it, ok, but I wasn't going to promote it. Others, more experienced than me, probably have an opinion.

Sherry – Friends are the best! I'm glad that you had fun.

So Debbie, what are the protein pretzels? Hope you are having a good week.

Tomorrow night is pool league and we are planning a cribbage game while we are at league. Too cool. I love it!

I have a long way to go before I get to be retired..... Oh well, time fly's by so you never know....

I'm off to relax and read the paper. Night all!

Good evening GG’s,

Had a good day at work. Two down two to go.

Another day of doing good with the food in the day time, then falling apart in the evening. Grrrrr at myself. I am always trying to think of ways to help keep myself on track. I have hung up pictures of a nice pretty apple and the words ~ choose health on the cupboard, fridge and freezer. Tonight, I made pictures (little wallet sized ones) of a kidney and a pretty eye. I want to make it like a card to put in my pocket or something ~ to remind myself, that if I don’t quit this foolishness, I risk a diagnosis of diabetes and possibly eventually losing my eyesight, or doing damage to my kidneys. Something's gotta work eventually ~ right?

Thank you all for your suggestions to help me. I will have to try those too.

I’ve enjoyed reading about all your varied jobs of your lifetime. I did house cleaning and lawn mowing as a teenager. With one of my ladies I cleaned house for, I even ended up taking care of her during her last days as she lost her battle with cancer. I did waitressing ~ I was a HoJo girl ~ LOL. When I got nervous one day having to wait on a table of college age guys, I accidentally dropped the tray of open face roast beef sandwiches. What a mess ~ and you could hear a pin drop after all the dishes went crashing. How embarsssing. I decided then and there, that I had better figure out something else to do ~ I didn’t want to be a waitress forever. Then worked as a nurses aid before going to nursing school. I ended up being a sort of a waitress anyway ~ except delivering bedpans instead .

Rie ~ is your knee doing ok ~ with your increasing your exercise? You look young in your picture ~ too young to be in the 50+ group, and you look good already ~ seems as if you don’t have too much further to go with the weight loss.

Nancy ~ the people in my avatar pic are my daughter Sara, my granddaughter Madison (Maddie) and my mom. You look good in the hats ~ looking forward to seeing pics of your selections. Hope you are able to figure out a way to spend time with your friend.

Lyn ~ glad you are finally having some nice weather and that you are getting some good things to enjoy from your garden.

Marie ~ you also are looking too young to be in the 50+ group.

Mary ~ enjoy the visit with your daughter and grand kids. Hope you are able to rest well and that you don’t have those darn leg cramps.

Karen FL ~ enjoyed the story about the ladies. Thank you for the smile.

Sherry ~ glad you had a good time with your friend.

Tea ~ sorry that darn scale disappointed again this week. Better than going up though. Keep hanging in there.

Donna ~ glad you had a nice time with your mom and siblings. Hope the ants will go away for you. Every spring when I turn on the bathtub faucet ~ they come spraying out of the faucet with the water. Have to spray ant spray up there a couple times then they go away ~ it is always a mystery to me how they get in there and where did they come from.

Freda ~ the inservice was for wound care ~ dressing changes ~ to keep us refreshed on our technique.

Lynn ~ glad you have figured a way to spend time with your friend. That is nice of you to take the time with her.

Welcome Hedgehog ~ you’re not alone with the losing weight and gaining it back.

Rosey ~ thank you for sharing the pictures of your family. My favorite part of your house is your swing and your stair rail (made out of tree branches) that is so cool.

How are you doing Debbie?

Bobbi ~ how much longer until the garden tour ~ can’t wait to see the pictures. Glad you are gonna finally get some xrays ~ hope they can finally figure how to help you with those headaches.

Karen FL ~ how is your leg doing? Hope your sore places are not as sore now. Also hoping you have not had any more “food/cooking adventures”.

Zoe ~ hope you are having a wonderful time.

Sorry if I have missed someone.

Well, it is almost bed time. Sorry that this got so long ~ at least my hands weren't stuffing food in my face while I was doing this.

Take care

Good Morning GG's

I did not post yesterday! And guess what? I ate apx 2000 calories, and some of them were bad. Little choc donuts. They are gone, and I'm simply amazed how my tummy and mouth felt after i ate them. I must post everyday. LOL

The dinner rolls, yes i ate 1 more, with 1/2 sausage link on it for dinner. You see i was cooking, so i did eat more. My total calories for Monday were about 1210, and it could of been MUCH worse. I counted 100 calories per dinner roll, and 200 calories for 1/2 sweet sausage link. Honestly people were eating whole sausages on one dinner roll, and several sandwiches. So i did maintain 'some' control. I'M pretty happy. OK enough about the D R's LOL as my mouth is watering. All leftovers went to my DD.

Thank you Everyone for the personals.

Good Morning Girls,

Well, Summer is here. Where was spring? We went straight from cool to 96. Yesterday was soccer and baseball. I was uncomfortable. Donna, say this with me: I hate heat!!!! More of the same today, heat and the kids games. So I'll be out there sitting with my umbrella to keep the sun off. Cleaning house today. My style is enough so that the house isn't comdemned, and I'll never get the Good Housekeeping Seal. That said, I can't stand mess and clutter either.

Gayle, I'm a stress/evening eater too. I save some of my calories for evening, because I KNOW i'm going to eat something. I choose food that is filling and takes awhile to eat. Popcorn with some of the sprinkle on flavors. They have so many to choose from. yogurt with fruit. an apple takes a long time to eat and is filling. Just plan for it. Save some of your dinner if that works for you.

Tea, I know how frustrating it is to reach that horrible plateau. And no matter what I say it won't make it much easier. But you do know that it will end, so hang in there.

Karen, living in the pool these days? I think I would be. and you can do your exercises in there. And good joke. Another phrase to add too our "bless your heart".

Rie, 60 min. of exercise a day is awsome. Along with watching the calories you are doing so well! I agree with the planning for evening eating. Only way to make it through. Hope you had fun last night.

Lyn, Hi. I am envying you your fresh garden vegetables. Due to the cool, wet weather, we just got ours out. Oh well, something to look forward to. But we are getting fresh produce in now and watermellon and cantelope are really good now.

Mary, I don't agree with DSD's "you're old, no one cares what you look like". I think "i'm older. I have confidence. I don't care what anyone thinks about me".

Donna, Have fun with your family. I'm not sure that it works. but someone told me to put a stick of mint gum in the path of the ants and they won't cross it. Worth a try since gum is cheap and non-toxic. I hate ants! Hate them!!

Rosie, Have you started the pool arobics yet? Don't worry about what other people think. If they think anything other than "wow, I give her so much credit for getting fit", well, bless their hearts!

Nancy, You don't have to take your friend out of the nursing home to be there for her. Just visiting and taking her outside to sit in the sun for awhile works wonders. And as long as you don't know how her mind and memory is, just assume shes ok, just can't communicate. What did she like to do before? If she was a reader, get a book she would like and take her outside and read to her for awhile. We put off stuff like visiting because we don't know what to do or say. Honestly, you don't have to do or say anything, just be there.

Marie, Don't think I could not cuddle with the doggies either. Mine is totally part of the family. Exercise should be fun and being as active as you are, you don't really have a problem with that. I would love to rollerskate. Can't. I would love to ski. Can't. Buy i can still ride my bike and take the kids to the part and run with them, so i'm thankful for the things I can do.

Bobbi, Let us know when you get the results of the X-ray, but I know it takes awhile to get them read. Feel better.

Z, hope you have a good time. Oh, I know you're having a good time!

Deb, Don't worry about one day of eating a few too many calories. Every day is a new day, a new chance. And yes, come post every day!

Everyone, make it a good day,

Freda

Good Morning, All...
Just checking in.....
Rosey, thanks for sending the pictures of the afghan! It's SO pretty!

I found out that both neighbors have ants, too, so it's probably a waste of money for me to have them sprayed. However, the AntGod will be here tomorrow. It's worth it to me! The neighbor on the south has them coming in from the dishwasher! How weird is THAT? I HATE THEM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Spending a lot of time at Granny/Mom's with my AZ brother. The only problem is that Granny fixes dinner and wants me to join them, which I do... but I have to be very mindful. She's about 100 lbs, tiny (has always been small... am I adopted??????), and can shove anything she wants into her mouth. She has a shut-off switch, too, which totally amazes me. Anyway, I'm being mindful. I don't know how long DB will be here, because the fire is 0% contained. Yes, we're getting the smoke haze here.

Nothing to report! Hope you're all well. You all sound busy and productive. Later, gorgeous girlies!

Good Morning!

Just a quick post. As I was working out this morning I was thinking that I should share the info about this game, so here it is....

It is called "Walk it Out" for the wii. This morning in Mt is is raining and dreary but I went for a 45 minute jog/walk/march in place on the beach and in a lovely park. My little animated avatar was walking in front of me taking a step for every step I took. It plays silly and motivating music ("I'm walking on sunshine!" For every step that you take, if it is in time with the beat, you earn a point. You point the remote at items on the screen and "build" the items in your world. This morning I built a lemonade stand, a rainbow, lots of palm trees, and a couple of streetlights. Basically, it is a simulated world that you build as you go along.

The action of the game is like Leslie Sandstone's walking video but it is a lot more fun. You can find it on Amazon. I got mine for $19.99 at gamestop.

Anyway, just thought I would tell you about it. Have a good day.

Default 60 yr old newbie

Hi All !
My name is Danielle and I am new to this website and started dieting on Metabolic Meta plan 5/27/11. It's a good thing I am retired because doing this is a full time job lol. They also think my financial situation is a bottomless well WRONG. They'll be surprised on Friday when I go in and buy nothing for the first time.

I lost 6 lbs in the first 5 days. I think that was due to cutting out one of my biggest problems sodium. Then I was loosing .2 here and there. I've been dissapointed. My expectations were higher. So when I went in yesterday I talked to the woman that signed me up and we tweaked my food intake. I'll see on Friday how that goes. I now down a total of 8.4 lbs. I look at it this way....high price, high expectations. I'm somewhat dissapointed with their one-on-one meetings..I want to drop about 42 lbs more.

Hi Everyone,

My mouse died. Had to go to Best Buy for a new one. They had one for $17 and one for $70. I asked what the difference was. They said "the shape." Needless to say, I now have a $17 mouse.

Have a great day everyone,

Lynn

Lyn, sounds like you’re having a great time being retired. I look forward to the day I can do that. The more I can play, the happier I am.

Nancy, I admire anyone who can wear hats. I think they’re adorable. I get headaches if I have anything on my head. Hats, clips, ponytail holders. My DD has the cutest hat and I love putting it on. I just can’t keep it on. BTW, my sister is the one that got me on the hummingbird kick. She’s an organic gardener and organic would never put chemicals in stuff. But since all my birdies devour my hummer food, she’s right about not needing the red food dye.

Rie, I have a serving of low fat ice cream ~120-140 cals for half cup and 1 T. hot fudge ~60 cals every night. And I’m mean pretty much every night. I lost all the weight with that plan. I looked forward to it all day and if I was “bad”, no ice cream for me. Since ice cream is my favorite food item on earth, it is a great motivator for me. But I’m not munchies in the evenings. My problem part of the day is the morning from 8:30 to 10:30. Weekends or at work. That 2 hours gets me. When it’s 11:00, and I’ve been good, I do a happy dance of joy because rest of the day will be a breeze.

My jobs over my life… restaurant prep cook, lifeguard (best job I’d ever had as I got to swim all day in a nearly deserted indoor country club pool…), retail, therapist (where my education is but I wanted to slap my clients and my malpractice would not like that), Human Resources (better use of my education because if someone didn’t shape up, I could fire them), and technology. Many years now in technology – database administrator and webmaster. If I had my dream job it would be having a doggie camp. Not normal boarding for dogs, but a camp atmosphere where the doggies play all day and have lots of community time. Once I get to retire, then I’ll have my doggie camp with must my doggies invited.

Gayle, LOL on the waitress in the medical field. I’m thinking nearly all professions are waiting on people in some form or another. BTW, I’m less than 2 months from my 50th b-day. I was ready to make the move to 50 group so here I am. I love the concept that as we type long posts we’re not stuffing food in our mouths. I will post more often.

Freda, spring is here. Our weather is 20 degrees cooler than normal. I want your 96 degrees. But we do have sun today and I’m almost giddy. I noticed I changed dramatically after I adopted my first “baby” pup. That was in 1992 – I was quite self-absorbed and didn’t look at the world in a compassionate way. My dogs changed that. I became much more globally aware and became focused on what would make my dogs happy. Sad to say the birth of my children didn’t do that – the dogs did. So not cuddling with them would depress me to no end. I actually said to the doctor I’d rather die than live without my dogs. I believe he got the point.

Donna, I’ve always wondered if I was adopted looking at the size of my family members. But now that we’re older, here I am the healthy thin one. Who’d have guessed?

Welcome Danielle. I’d have to say you’ve lost a lot in less than 2 weeks. Stick with a plan and it will work.

Lynn, LOL at the mouse comment. I’m going to take a wild stab the difference might be a gaming mouse vs a regular mouse vs an optical mouse vs a laser mouse vs the many other configurations. But for surfing, without a doubt, a $17 is plenty expensive enough.

Rosey, when you’re putting on your big girl panties to head to the pool, just remember those panties aren’t as big as they were and that you deserve to swim.

Going home soon to exercise. I believe my elliptical and I will have a session. I have a love of watching concert videos of my favorite artists while exercising. While biking yesterday (I have a fluid trainer to put my road bike on) I watched Shania Twain’s Chicago Up concert in 50” HDTV with surround sound blasting. Unfortunately the elliptical isn’t in the living room so it will be an iphone concert (I parsed with my fave songs that are upbeat from various artists) with the bose earbuds. I so want an ipad so the screen will be bigger. Soon. I told DH I want an ipad for my 50th b-day. Less than 2 months and my treadmill and elliptical will have bigger concert screens.
