KAREN ~ the problem was with MSN; my homepage wouldn't come up either for the last few days, but today it is back up and working fine. This seems to happen every now and then. I don't bother contacting them; just wait and they always fix it up. You can just get into msn.com, or come directly onto this site, or any others you want to. I just put their site addresses in my FAVORITES so I don't forget them ...

Cat, oooops - I missed your link until I read Patti's post. Your sons should be models - how handsome!

Quick flyby - the weekend was so busy with church activities - but Easter is such a wonderful holiday!

I got my Zumba videos, so I am learning all of the steps and made it through the express workout a couple times. I think it will be good for me. My heart rate gets higher than most of my other videos!

I will try to catch up more tomorrow!
Sounds like most everyone had a wonderful weekend

Morning all. My weekly wiegh-in last night wasn't too too bad - up 0.5 pounds after a weekend of being off-track. One of our village's most well -loved personalities died suddenly a week ago and he wanted a "cocktail party" after his memorial service. So that was Saturday night and I got into the coconut shrimp big time. It was pretty much half the town there - they closed down the whole restuarant. He was a character, always wore a big straw hat and suspenders and could be found at the local coffee shop most mornings. He was a life-long member of our church as well. He will be missed. Then on Easter we were invited to a friend's house for dinner and I got into the carrot cake. On the positive side I walked 4 miles on Friday and 3 on Sunday.
I have 4 more days until retirement!!!! My luncheon is today and then cake tomorrow. Once this is all over, I plan to join the Y and get serious again!

Cat - loved the photos of your boys!

Hi to everyone else too.

Good Morning GG's, Hope everyone is doing well. It's still too cold to get out for long here but I took the grandkids for a walk yesterday. We all needed some air and a little exercise.

Cat, Good to see you posting again, you were missed. Those boys of yours are so handsome!! Take after their mom, right?

Lyn, Only 4 more days to go. YEAH!!!

Laurie, The Zumba tapes sound like they would be fun to try. Any thing to make exercise more enjoyable, so that we do more of it.

Karen, Every pound lost is a pound gone. It never happens fast enough, but those pounds do add up.

Where are all our GG's? Come back, we miss you, Freda

Good Morning! I have been wanting to share some photos that we took while we were back in MO. Even after deleteing a lot of photos that I had on the site I still show that I'm over my limit. So after seeing Cat's link to her photo gallery the other day I sent her a message and asked how I could do that? I only have the free gallery site but thought that I would try to post a link to see it and see if it works. I'm hoping so.

Here is the link: http://www.kodakgallery.com/Slidesho...y=-zc2mkx&Ux=1

Anyway, I'm kind of late getting started this morning so better get with it and get the house straightened up "JUST IN CASE" I hope everyone has a good day and I'll check back later.

Hi gang . . . another day . . . not quite as sunny as yesterday and it's still below freezing . . . but I'll take it. It's supposed to snow tomorrow.

LYNN . . . you are going to love retirement . . . I certainly do. Hopefully, nobody will expect you to actually accomplish anything at work this week.

Oh wow KAREN . . . I was looking through your pictures and thought you suddenly had a new (old) dog -- until I read the caption.

And a great big for everybody . . . see you all a little later. . .

Hello all

It is a nice sunny day here today. About 65*. DH and I went for a walk/bike ride this morning. I am kind of bribing myself ~ not to turn on the computer or TV until after I have walked or something.

Wow ~ Lyn ~ only 4 more days ~ yippee. I am glad for you.

Karen ~ enjoyed the your picture gallery.

Cat ~ what they said ~ such handsome sons.

I'd better get off now and get some more stuff done.

Hope you all are having a good day.

Take care

Well goodness gracious, such busy ladies. I don't drop in for a few days and get totally out of the loop.

Hope you are all doing fabulously. Absolutely beautiful day here - about 75 degrees. My apple trees are blooming like crazy and even my little apricot tree that I thought I had lost has some blooms on it.

Strange thing seems to have happened to me. I don't expect it to last so I'm enjoying the moment My old nemisis, the scale, has been completely stalled for the last couple of weeks and I don't even care. I've kicked myself up to the intermediate video for my fluidity workout (actually get sore the next day which didn't happen with the beginner video) and I'm eating amazingly well (my only big splurge was drinking a whole cup of chocolate soy milk instead of just a 1/2 cup). I'm feeling better than I have in ages and I just know the weight is going to come off eventually so the scale just doesn't seem to matter as much. Today anyway. I'm sure my usual impatient self will show back up any minute now and, mind you, I have no intention of getting complacent and giving up even an inch of the ground I've gained so far but I wonder if this is an indicator that I've truly made some sort of transition in my lifestyle. Do any of you ever go into a stage where you are content just to feel good?

Sorry I missed personals - just too far out of the loop to catch up in the time I've got right now. I'll try to do better next time.

Good afternoon, Everyone!

Busy busy day...emails from 4 clients started flying in around 6 this morning and they've keep me hopping since then (stopped for a while to go to the grocery store) I'm whipped and bless the person who invented coffee.

Yoyo, I went up in Fluidity too...well, kinda. I try to do my exercising around 5am so I can go take a long hot bath afterwards. Since I don't have school this week, I decided to try the advanced one this morning. oweeeee. It's almost the same was the intermediate except you have to keep that ball between your thighs or feet for a few of the exercises. It seems like it's longer too. I won't have time for it on school days, but will try to do it on Saturdays and during the summer. I feel ok right now, (except for a little "glute" pain) but I have a feeling I'm going to be walking like John Wayne tomorrow morning. Tomorrow is callenetics day, so maybe I'll stretch it out and that will help.

Karen, love the doggie pics!! I also love those kitchen cabinets!!

Hi y'all...What a wacked out day I had. The partner I play with on Tuesdays was telling me yesterday a bunch of symptoms. Unending thrist, constantly hungry, blurring vision and feeling foggy. Asked her about her BS and she never had it tested. So today brought Dh glucometer to the game. She had not eaten before I tested her and the darn machine couldn't read her level it was so high. It stops at 500(80-100 normal). Asked me if she should be concerned(heck I was about to put on a Depends)....but calmly told her to call her doctor. He wasn't so calm and told her to not drive but call 911 and get to ER. EMTs came and rechecked BS(same) and then they did BP. It was 236/126 and this is after she had taken her daily BP meds. OMG that is stroke country.......Just checked with her DH and they admitted her couldn't get sugar down. BP is a little better. You know I think I just saved her life...........

Oh then played bridge with an old buddy who happened to stop in and we came in 3rd. Have run the gamut on emotions for sure.

Karen you're look good girl. Should reconcider weight goal. A little plump cheeks will keep you looking young.

Gayle,Rosey,Yoyo and Linda ain't Spring Grand!

Take care of yourself, eat healthy and hugs.....karen3

Hi Everyone,

Karen3,
Good for you! Give yourself a BIG pat on the back for that one!

I spent most of today putting together the documentation for my DAR application. I got some type of documentation for everything except the death dates/places for 3 ancestors (2 born in 1863; 1 born in 1834). I'm REALLY sure that they're dead, but doubt if I can prove it. Hopefully, common sense will prevail.

Check back tomorrow.

Lynn

Hi all, looks like everyone is doing well.
Lynn - LOL - I loved your post! DAR apps can be tricky, I'm hoping they agree with you!

Karen3 - wow, that is a story! You are a hero today

Rosey - glad you are back on track

Cat - fluidity sounds fun! I might have to check it out. I'm always looking for new ways to work out. And I justify all of my purchases because I don't belong to a gym

Yoyo - good for you! I am not thrilled with my scale this month either. It has decided to be very stubborn, even though I am POP - even while on vacation Oh, well, it will get moving again sooner or later.

Gayle - I am jealous of your weather. The ugly, nasty snow today has me in a funk. At least I burned some calories shoveling

Linda - I'm afraid I'm sending snow your direction. Glad you got some sun today!

Karen, the pictures are wonderful! Thanks for sharing!

Freda - I walked inside today, I can't wait until the snow is gone!

I hope you all had a wonderful POP day! I had to work a 14 hr shift today (happens about 4-5 times per year). Ugh, I'm ready for a shower and bed.

I am leaving for Virginia tomorrow, will be gone a week. Just thought I'd let you know so people didn't think I just fell off the face of the earth.

Chat with all next week.
