Hey gang, This is just an accountability post. I had company and only exercised the first of those four days (which I've already posted), then I let a friend's emergency keep me from exercising for two days, then finally somehow I threw my back out and haven't been able to walk or bike the last two days. So I'm likely not even to get half-way to my goal for July, but since this is my first month I guess that'll give me an idea of how much work it's going to take to make goal. Before I go home to bed I'm going to do some searching for exercises I can do to help my back and for some seated exercise I can do if I still can't walk tomorrow.
So, nothing to add to the group total. My personal total remains at 376 (July goal: 1085 / 709 remaining).
Angela -- My first month I set a much more modest goal, you've been doing great!! DO take care of your back -- I had some problems last year and have much more respect for my back these days!
I only got 10 min of abs and back yesterdya, and I did it to keep my streak alive (every day since May 25th I have done SOME kind of intentional exercise!)
Today I did a walk on the treadmill -- 43 min. Not my best workout by far, but I did it.
Group total ~ 10,805 + 53 = 10,858 minutes
Okay, let's get to 200 hours this month -- 12,000 minutes!
It was sooooo hot here yesterday... mid-90s and we are NOT used to it here in Seattle LOL... but I did walk at lunch but took the shorter route so only got in 39 minutes total.
1530 + 39 = 1569
2000 goal - 1569 = 431 still to go
I might do more today, but I'm going to post what I have now.
I'm adding 5 min for abs yesterday.
Today, hubby and I walked downtown, had a coffee, did some shopping and walked home. 57 min total! This is the kind of thing we always talked about doing before but never did!
Did quite a bit of walking today in Boston, but I forgot to wear the pedometer, so I'm only going to count the minutes I spent deliberately exercising today.
Got back from my vacation today - Given the walking through old forts, and the hikes along the Avon in Stratford (Ont.), and the walk along the Niagara Rapids, I'm giving myself 120 mins.
Plus, did all kinds of exercise today, since we are finally out of the car - 31 mins NuStep, 4 mins elliptical, 20 mins river walking, and 35 mins swimming laps.
Wow, some of you are getting past your goals (Ammi, you are kickin it!)
I did some yardwork yesterday but am only counting 20 min of it as some of it just didn't seem exercisey. And then we finally got back to the gym and lifted, so 30 min for that.
So far today, a 15 min walk with the dogs (who really needed it!)
Group total ~ 11539 + 65 = 11,604
We are so close to 12K (200 hours!)
