30 mins on treadmill, 15 mins of laps of oval and 30 mins on bike. Didn't get the home gym in as I had a meeting after school. Tomorrow is my 'rest' day, so I'll see everyone again Saturday. I'm actually driving to school tomorrow then walking down to a local park and walking BACK to school with some kids from school as it is "Walk Safely To School" day. We did this last year and it was fun! I'm glad it's going to be a nice day. It isn't a very long walk, so I don't think I will post the time.
Personal Goal... 1425 - 75 = 1350 mins left of March goal of 1800
My TOM is kicking my butt, but I didn't want to break my exercise streak so I did 15 minutes on the stability ball. Even the weights were too much for me today - I just used my arms. That brings my total to 230 minutes.
Had interview with new therapist today who specializes in eating disorders...skipped my workout cuz it felt like emotionally it was too much. I will work out tomorrow. Who knows, perhaps I will make Th my rest day and move my Th workouts to Sunday. We'll see.
The group total remains at 2277
This month has gotten off to a horrible exercise start...but (crosses fingers) that all changes NOW!
Sat I did an hour. And today I did 20 mins at school running around with the kids (actually about an hour and a half but I'm only counting 20 mins) and an 70 mins between Tae-bo, belly dance exercises and weights so a whole 90 mins for today YEAH ME!!!
Well, I didn't do any 'workouts' as such, but I did do laps of the oval with the kids for 20 mins, so I'll add that. The walk to school with kids was lovely this morning. There were probably about 40 or more of us traipsing up the walkway to school. What a great feeling! I've had a number of kids ask if we can do this regularly, so I'll have to think about that.
Personal Goal... 1350 - 20 = 1330 mins to go of March's goal of 1800
Group Total... 2487 + 20 = 2507
My back is sore at the moment, but I'm hoping for a normal exercise routine for the weekend.
Well, I have to admit that right now exercising feels like a big pain and I'm not wanting to do it. I did it, mind you, but I didn't want to. I'm not sure what the "problem" is but it doesnt matter - what matters is that I have made a committment to myself and I am going to keep it, no matter what.
Today's workout - 60 min on the bike.
Group total = 2507 + 60 = 2567
Tomorrow I have my long session (90 min) and I'm looking forward to having to choose between watching "Vanity Fair" and the new "Pride and Prejudice" (the movie, not the BBC series, which I loved!). Haven't watched either one, so I'm going to have fun either way. I LOVE period movies.
Ok, off to work I go. The weekend is almost here and I have NOTHING fun planned. I need to remedy that today. :::grin:::
A regular three-in-one day. 30 mins on treadmill, 20 mins of strength training on home gym and 30 mins on bike. I have worked out that it is MUCH easier to do the home gym before the bike. I used to do it the other way around and I found that I was very tired on the gym. By doing the strength training first, the muscles are not tired and then they are nicely warmed up for the bike. I can go faster on the bike from the start instead of having to warm up.
Personal Goal... 1350 - 80 = 1250 mins left of March's goal of 1800 mins.
The manager of the gym I go to said that you should actually warm up for about 5 minutes, do your weight routine and finish up with your cardio. He said that it's better for you to do it that way. He wasn't talking about your situation--we were talking about what I do at the gym one time and he said that to me. Good for you--you're giving yourself a better workout and you didn't even really know it.
