Well, I just got back from today's workout which was 5 minutes on the ellipitcal and 35 minutes on the treadmill, which makes my total for the month 715.

The new group total is 8829 + 40 = 8869!

Oh, and Zelma - you are definitely still my role model. Please don't feel bad for not being "perfect". Knowing when to slow down is as important as knowing when to ramp up. Your body told you to slow down, so you are.

I'm baaack... Could not exercise at home because bags of books and movies were in the way, not even enough room for WATP, Couldnt go to the gym due to out of town guests monopolizing parents so no ride.

Back to the gym today, hurray 90 min.
5 miles in 30 min on the bike and the rest was circuit training and some free weight work.

Then got my wish and my double bed has been removed and replaced with a single mattress on the floor (for now, until I buy a bed) so I had to rearrange the whole room and vaccuuum and sweated as much or more than at the gym. So I am taking 60 minutes for that, it was longer but I stopped a couple of times to catch my breath.

so that is 150 for me today and boy do I feel it.

8887 + 150 = 9037

15 minutes stretching

I ended up falling and really hurt my ankle today, so I'm back in a brace for a bit. I'm not NWB, but light weight bearing for a bit. Might have to stick to my exercise ball stuff for a while.

Total is 9037+15=9052

Just checking in on how you are all going. Things are looking great! Over the 9000 mark! Way to go! I will be able to begin adding times again tomorrow, just much lower times. I am going to journal what I am doing and how I am feeling, to keep a much closer eye on things.

Wyllen and Nancy - Thank you SO much for your lovely comments. It is great to hear things like that, as it stops me from kicking myself over this. I think I am most disappointed that I let it go so far without having any idea what I was doing to myself. I obviously still have a lot to learn about my body. Oh, Wyllen, you asked if I had seen a doctor. I had my yearly blood work done just a few weeks ago and things were fine except for low Vit D and B12, which I have been taking supplements for. So I kinda figured it had to be something else.

I am feeling SO much better today. I am more awake than I have felt for a long time. I think we may have been right on track about the over-exercising thing. I should have a better idea when I go back to work tomorrow. If I can function again like a normal human being I'll be happy.

Take care all,

Zelma

Zelma -- I'm so glad to hear you are feeling better!! I'd read on the other thread about your bloodwork, so that's great. You most definitely should try to stop kicking yourself about this -- cause that hurts! I think we are all still learning about our bodies, and your story may help some of the rest of us with things that happen to us someday. The strength of 3fc comes from our stories and experience coupled with our support!

I posted on the other thread that my stability ball bit the dust last night!
It developed a tear right where the pin goes in. It was a quick death, at least, though I don't know about painless. At least it wasn't painful to me!! I'm not going to bother to record my few paltry minutes on it right now, but hope to get to the gym tonight and will add it into that total. RIP, purple stability ball!!

Tonight I went to the gym and did 35 minutes on the treadmill. I wasn't feeling up for my 5 minutes on the elliptical, but I kept a pace of 2.5 for a good bit of the time on the treadmill. My next goal will be to keep it there while keeping my heart rate at around 140.

Tonight I hit my personal total for February of 750 minutes!!! It's all bonus from here.

The new group total is 9292 + 35 = 9327!

Hello Chickies

I just finished walking on my treadmill and I did 35 minutes today. I ended up not going to the gym this morning so that's all I've done today. I'm okay with it though because I've been great all day as far as my eating goes. So the new group total is:

9396 + 35 = 9431

I don't think I'm going to make my personal goal this month, but I did a lot better this month than I did last month so I'm happy. Talk to you all later.

Okay! Got something to report! Did 13 mins of my dvd this morning when I woke up, and did another 16 minutes just a little bit ago. Also tried to do Andrew's Yoga dvd, but it was far too advanced for me...(never done it before)...so I only managed 3 minutes! lol...

But....

9431+32=9463
!!!!

Come on ladies! Let's get to 10k before the end of the month!!!!!

Kayley - I recently got a Just My Size Yoga tape that is pretty do-able. If you are interested in yoga, you might want to check that one out.

I did 15 minutes on the treadmill but had to stop because my side was hurting. I then had my 30 minute session with my trainer, which makes my new total 795.

The new group total is 9463 + 45 = 9508.

It is SO good to be able to post some exercise again. I can't believe how great it felt to be working out again. I actually looked forward to going on the equipment, whereas I have to admit that for a while there it was a bit of a chore because I was trying to do too much.

Oh... I don't think I have posted about my 'bug'. After feeling so wonderful Wesnesday afternoon, I started getting an itchy throat in the evening and thought it was just my allergy. Nope. By Thursday morning I felt as though I had been sucking on sandpaper all night, and after talking at all, it changed to feeling as though I had been swallowing razor blades. It was NOT pleasant. I lost most of my voice, which I have to be careful of as I was once told that I have 'nodules' on my throat that can get worse with any kind of strain. So... went to the doc and another 2 days off work. (It is VERY hard to teach without a voice) I was SO tired yesterday (had two naps) and am still pretty tired today. So that also meant another couple of days (almost) of no exercise. It was SO hard at first, to not workout, but then I knew that it was for the best, so I just went with the flow. This afternoon is the first time I have exercised since Monday morning. My throat is still quite sore, so I didn't do the same intensity I would normally do, although I don't plan on doing that for a while anyway. I want to ease back into this so that I don't repeat my mistake.

So... 25 mins on treadmill, 25 mins on bike and 10 mins of resistance work. All at a pretty moderate pace, which was lovely.

Personal Goal... 230 - 60 = 170 (should still be able to reach goal)

Group Total... 9508 + 60 = 9568

Keep moving all!

Take care,

Zelma
