What is different this time in your weight loss efforts than in the past: the last time i lost significant wieght it was on accident, i was broke and working a lot. now, i have baby-wieght still and have to actually try harder.

Pets: 1 dog – Double D (mastiff mix w/american bulldog) & 1 cat – Symphony (grey tabby).

Biggest hurdle to overcome in weightloss: I love gourmet food – I’m talking Foie Gras, Truffles, Rich Wine Sauces, etc.
Following any specific plan: No specific plan just yet – I’m going to start off my running/jogging 30 minutes in the morning and evening and watch what I eat.
What is different this time in your weight loss efforts than in the past: I was very anorexic in high school and I now struggle with the actual diet and excerise routine because I still think in the back of my mind that all I have to do to lose weight is not eat.
Anything else you would like to share with us: I’m excited to lose weight.

What is different this time in your weight loss efforts than in the past: Hubby's probably leaving for boot camp in a month or two.. I can't give up on anything right now.

Biggest hurdle to overcome in weightloss: Portion control, I love to eat and I love sweets. I love to cook, which is a problem especially when you have to taste test. My husband loves me the way I am and never critizes, so it is hard to get motivated when he is an enabler many of the times.
Following any specific plan: no/not yet. I think the first hurdle I need to accomplish is cutting down my portion sizes, making better choices, drink more water and start some kind of exercise routine.
What is different this time in your weight loss efforts than in the past: After having my son, I realized that I need to be healthy and fit to keep up with him and any other children I may have. I am tired of going to the plus size rack and settling for ugly. I know I am a beautiful person and I want to feel beautiful aswell.

Biggest hurdle to overcome in weightloss: Depressive fits over having moved and living in a strange place. I'm not sure how it affects my eating habits, but it does a number on my emotional resilience and will power.
Following any specific plan: Just common sense. Nothing sweet, avoiding red meats and white breads. Less, if any, processed foods.
What is different this time in your weight loss efforts than in the past: My sisters. They're young now, 15 and 16, and I want them to be healthy for life. This is an effort on my part because I've always been a yo-yo diet pill/workout junkie. I've finally given that up and want to embark on a healthy lifestyle, and instill the same in them.

Hobbies/Interests: Working on redeveloping some. I am a new flight attendant so my life isn't really my own. Most days I don't know what state or country I will be sleeping in. So for now my hobbies are collecting stamps in my passport and recovering from jet lag and of course reading. Though I really would like to take up hiking, and rock-climbing.

Biggest hurdle to overcome in weightloss: Doing what I know I should. I know I should eat lunch and not chips. I know I should go to the hotel gym and skip the first class sundae, and the room service junk, but somehow my brain and my body just won't connect.
Following any specific plan: The chips and chocolate plan, tasty but I don't recommend it. Actually I just joined this site today, and for once I'm not rushing to change everything. I thought I'd start small, my long term goal is to be a healthy eater. I figured I'll start with eating breakfast tomorrow and see what information/inspiration I can pick up from this site.
What is different this time in your weight loss efforts than in the past: A lot less anxiety. I'm a yo-yo dieter and this time I'm changing my habits before the yo-yo gets stuck at bottom.

Biggest hurdle to overcome in weightloss: I am an emotional over-eater. My entire life seems to revolve around food. Also, I'm pretty lazy.
Following any specific plan: not really, I stopped drinking soda almost a month ago. Trying to drink a gallon of water a day and make healthy food choices.
What is different this time in your weight loss efforts than in the past: I finally saw that I could do it. I would try for months to lose weight and not lose a lb. well I finally lost 5 lbs after not drinking soda so that is awesome motivation. Plus I wanna see my daughter grow up. At 24 I already have hypertension.

What is different this time in your weight loss efforts than in the past: This is the first and only time I DID NOT give myself a numeric goal or specific time frame in which to reach it. For me setting goals have not worked, I would find a way to sabatage them.. now I rely strictly on how my clothes fit.
Anything else you would like to share with us: I'm not anti-goal. I realize that setting goals are important to many people and have successfully aided them to their success. I'm an anomoly I think.. lol.

What is different this time in your weight loss efforts than in the past: Now I have a treadmill and have no excuses for not using it. Also, I realized that the portions are a LOT bigger than they should be, especially when eating out.
