Me and my two best friends at first were going to make the powerpuff girls. I was supposed to learn on how to sew since I got a new sewing machine but didn't get around to learning it yet so that's going to be a hold for next year maybe.
I probably won't do anything for Halloween, to be honest, but I just like the challenge and a time frame. Maybe I can think more about it if I start getting close to my goal weight.
Hehehe...I was talking to my boyfriend about a costume I'd love to do if I had the boobs to pull it off (an obscure costume from Frisky Dingo) and he informed me that if he saw me in that, he'd have to propose. I don't really want a proposal (we've only been going out for 7 months and currently reside on different continents), but I'm kinda tempted to do it for Halloween just to see how he reacts...does that make me a bad person?
Claristotle: Oh man, the liquor laws are so confusing. I was talking to someone a week ago and they were saying that you can't get alcohol at the grocery store and I was like "hold up, I totally bought wine at the super target!" and then they had to explain that it was like the only place in the city where you could do it. I actually just got back from there a few minutes ago!
I was just at the thrift store and saw a really cute sparkly 60's/gogo type dress. Certainly didn't try it on bc it would just be depressing but it planted some halloween ideas in my brain!
GuiriGirl: Anchorman is one of my favorite movies of all time! That is so awesome! "Brick killed a guy." "Yeah, there were horses and a man on fire and I killed a guy with a trident." LMAO. Classic!
Tiny Tiger: I don't know what the reasoning is behind only ONE grocery-type store in the state having a liquor store. I really liked the liquor selection at the Whole Foods on Hampden, but I went in one day and the section was gone. One of the cashiers told be they moved the "liquor section" to the Cherry Creek Whole Foods. So weird!
Frisky Dingo was a short animated series on Adult Swim that kinda makes you go "Wha...?" The costume I want to try is on the right:
I'm going to have to get over my fear of spandex and spend some serious time working on the armor, but it WOULD be pretty badass if I could pull it off. It's not revealing, so I MIGHT even be able to tell my kids "I'm a cyborg" and wear it to school. The series is very not child-friendly, but it's not a terribly well-known series anyway and that particular costume only shows up in the last 2 episodes or so.
Good ole Alameda and Broadway. I know that area well! I went to the Catholic grade school right there on Sherman. I love the 1up! I was just there two weekends ago. I totally have a video of my friend knocking down one of the jenga games going on. Kinda mean but so funny!
Please tell me you don't buy anything from that Albertson's bakery
lol, I never touch the bakery... why?
And that catholic school, I live a few blocks away on grant. I pass it every day on my way to work. Small world.
Claristotle: I know, I can't wait for the second! My plan is to wear a short-sleeve collared shirt & tie, the glasses, and carry around a toaster and/or trident.
One of those awesome halloween costumes in which you won't be cold and your feet won't hurt!
This website, Pinupgirlclothing.com, has some cute 50's and 60's sexy dresses for Halloween. I've bought one in the past and it's good quality - totally recommend them. In the past, they had more Halloween costumes. I'm sure they'll post them on the site later in the summer.
