hey all i'm new and need all the motivation i can get, so i thought id give this a go. I've never been in the 200's before so i'd like to leave as quickly as poss!

i just busted my butt on the wii fit, the weight on it is sorta annoying right now cause i was going down and then 2 days of piggin out and i was up 2 or 3 pounds. |
Yeah, my mom used to weigh herself on the wiifit and worry about it. I always thought that it wasn't accurate enough in my opinion to give a second thought to. I've got to get that woman a digital scale. :D

I agress Zanheltangia, the wii fit is no where near accurate, in my opinion. My husband weights 170lbs on our digital scale, he fluctuates b/w 168-171lbs on the old time slider scale his dr still insists on using, and the wii fit weighs him in around 150lbs. I don't even weigh myself on it, don't want to get my hopes up and then shatter them when I weigh in on the digital scale. Hope everyone is doing good!!!

Aw darn.
I was hoping that I could stretch my set of jeans out long enough to reach a little closer to 214 lbs, but I am getting a serious case of baggy-butt with all of them except one pair. And another pair bunches up in the waist when I tighten my belt, I think those were 26s. These are the pants I got and made sure were a little loose when I was probably just about 260 lbs. I guess I could call this a NSV, but a wallet defeat... :o |

Got my WI tomorrow afternoon. Don't know how I did this week. I've been trying to get my iron up so I've been hitting the red meat and iron pills. :p

I weighed in at 199.6 this past Sunday. :) I'm not going to call it official though unless it's down again this week. I've been fluctuating between 200-205 for the past few months and I'm ready to kick it and get past that.

Plan- count calories. After reading so many people's success stories, that was a theme. I'm good with that now. I put my fitness pal app on my iPhone, so it makes it nice and easy. gym every weekday, cardio for 20 minutes, target toning. Long bike ride with the fam on weekends. meal plan before I shop. That is a lot harder now with a lot of our staples like pasta being cut way down, but I'm starting with replacing them with whole wheat pasta instead of cutting it all cold turkey. mmmmm, cold turkey....... oh, and I'm not telling anyone yet. I hate the feedback, I don't get much support. |

I need a pep talk guys. I have been STUCK in the low 200s for like 2 weeks. I have been running and doing fitness classes and sticking to my 1400 calorie a day diet and eating VERY healthy. And nothing is changing! I can feel myself getting more muscular and I have had a lot of people comment on the weight I have lost just over the past 3 days... but I don't see it on my scale.
I want to REALLY get out of the 200s. I don't remember the last time I saw a number less than 200 on my scale. |
Kabaker! If you can feel the muscles building up, and people have been commenting on it, you're certainly doing something! I think that's been my late problem with losing, is because I've added a lot more exercise to my simple calorie counting, and I KNOW I'm building muscle, but people have told me I'm looking really good still, and I can see it as well. I've been in the same 5 pound range for probably about 2 months now. This morning I was at 200.4 again... bleh.
In the long run, muscle is heavier than fat, and as it builds up it will boost your metabolism and help burn the fat and keep it off. Be proud of your healthy lifestyle. :) It won't be long until we're dipping well below the 200 mark. |
