party - I really like the 30ds... It's a combo of weight training and cardio. There are 3 levels and you move on when you feel comfortable. She does three circuits for each level. Each circuit consists of cardio (jumping jacks, high knees, etc), weight training, and then abs. I want to say it's in that order 3minutes, 2 minutes, 1 minute. You go through 3 circuits during the workout and each circuit is different exercises. My favorite parts are: there are 3 levels so I didn't get bored, each level has different circuits, each circuit is different, each level gets progressively more difficult, and it's quick - just over 20mins. I would definitely recommend it!

lilly - I'm totally convinced it's all of you wonderful ladies in here! Seriously, you are all the BEST!

fashin - Glad to hear you had a great time.

I hear you all on the ticker and moving it up, etc... I used to wait until I saw the same weight for three days in a row, but it seems like when I got excited about moving it, I was more likely to stay OP. Soooo, I decided to just change it when the scale changes. I only had to move mine back up once and that was when I was in the 190s... so it's been a little while.

Apparently my low carb plan works, because I lost 3.3lbs this week! That's the biggest loss I've had since November! I'm down to 162.3. I'm pleasantly surprised that it was so effective even my first week.

I hope the Mardi Gras gain is just water weight, fashinjunkie! It will melt off in no time!

Congratulations on 162, stargzr! How does it feel to be so close to your goal weight?

kirjava - YAY on the 3.3 pound loss!!! That is amazing and well worth the low carb!! It's really cool you found something that works so well!
It's exciting, but also feels really weird, a little surreal. I mean we've all been working so hard and for quite some time... So it's weird to think that I'm where I wanted to be like months and months ago. It's a really weird feeling to me...

I weighed this morning at 161! I suppose I could call goal if I wanted, but since I feel like I still might have 5 pounds or so left... I'll wait.

kirjava, wow. 3.3 lbs is amazing you'll be out of here in no time!

stargzr, congrats on making goal that's so great! There is no harm in re-evaluating your weight goal though and if you want to lose a little more go for it, but if not I'm sure you look great!

So, I told myself I wouldn't WI until Monday's official one but I can't help myself... And the scale is not going where I want it to go. It's really frustrating because I've been OP. I'm going to give it til next Monday and if I'm not back down I'm going to start zig zagging or lower my calories or something. It's just so disheartening because I was doing so good before I left for vacation and now I have to work that much harder just to get back to where I was. Ugh. But thank you for the support ladies, I love this thread.

I'm inspired just looking at your ticker that says you've met your goal! Congratulations, stargzr! I hope those last 5 pounds you want to lose go away as fast as the ones before!

Edit: You must have posted while I was writing my reply, fashinjunkie. I'm sorry you're having a rough time with the scale. Hopefully you'll start losing again and be at the same stage you were before Mardi Gras.

fashin - I'm sure your body is just a little confused right now and trying to settle itself down. You'll be back down in no time!

nurse - Congrats on another 1.4 pounds! Look at you go!!!

Thank you to both of you for the congrats.

You guys are rock stars. Everyone seems to be doing great, (even if the scale isn't doing exactly what you want it to). Fashinjunkie, I am impressed that despite a setback, you seem determined to get back on track. More importantly, you seem to have a plan of attack for moving forard- and move forward we must!
Speaking of, I weighed in this morning at 161.3! I am so close to being out of the 160's! Thanks for all the support!

Oh, I forgot, I was going to give my completely unsolicited opinion on the 30 day shred discussion. It is incredible. It will make you want to die the first few times, but it's incredible. I saw results so fast, both in my endurance and on the scale. I had never seen the Biggest Loser when I started doing Jillan's workouts and had no idea who she was, but that DVD and her coaching/yelling really helped jump start my weight-loss. I still do her other two DVD's when I am having a hard time motivating myself through my workouts. They're great because you can do them at home, on vacation, etc. I even took them to Kenya with me and creatively rearranged the teeny tiny sitting room furniture to do them. Anyway, I would definitely recommend!

kirjava, thank you!

wannabenurse, Down 1.4 that is so great you are absolutely breezing through here!

stargzr, thank you I hope you are right!

tuende, thank you so much it's really refreshing to hear that. I have been focusing so hard on why the scale isn't going down I just need to take a deep breath and keep going. You are breezing through here as well! 161.3 is awesome girl you'll be out of here so soon! Hopefully I'll be close behind you. Oh and the 30DS sounds pretty great. I had heard it was pretty hard, especially at first so I thought maybe I would do it when I was closer to goal to tone up a bit, but I am thinking maybe I should try it now!

Thank you all, I have realized that it's only been two days! Lol, I guess I'm just used to being a certain weight and this is freaking me out a little but I'm just going to relax and keep doing what I'm doing. It can't not work right?

Thanks for the support and encouragement, everyone! I love that 3FC has these threads. I don't think I would stay as motivated as I do without the support and the great diet and workout successes and ideas you all give me. We'll be out of the 160s soon enough!

I spent today making my meals for the coming week. My lunch and dinner this week is spinach chicken burgers. About 40% spinach and 60% chicken, plus some spices and a little bit of parmesan cheese. My breakfasts are still eggs and bacon.

For my snacks, I made frozen peanut butter yogurt cups, which are just about the most delicious things I've ever eaten in my life. Creamy and melt-in-your-mouth yummy! I posted the recipe in the Carb Counters Low-Carb Recipe forum if you want to check it out! I used fat-free plain yogurt, though I only mentioned regular plain yogurt in the recipe. Carb counters don't seem to care about fat content very much, but I can't use whole-fat anything when I know low-fat or light will do just as well.

oow so the 30DS sounds pretty awesome. i knew it was butt-kicking, but wasn't totally clear on what it was. hmm i may have to look into that. i need some variety cause i get bored with my workouts FAST.

@stargzr: OMG !! how did i miss that you are RIGHT THERE??! congratulations girl! even if you decide to push for a few more, you DID IT!! now you know you can do anything you set your mind to! yay!

@tuende, fashin, nurse, kirjava (and maybe more sorry?!): SO CLOSE!! man, looks like we'll all move out of here around the same time. good luck! i think we can all see the 150s in the next couple weeks. i'm really trying to think in tiny tiny increments.

@kirjava: HA! i saw that post earlier today, and (cause it looks soooo easy and delicious) put it into my weight watchers recipe tracker. i ended up reducing the peanut butter to 350g like you said you might do, and they came out to 1 point each cup. so im def going to make a yogurt and pb run tomorrow. (also need spinach, broccoli and eggs! to health!)

saturday woo woo! i've gotta watch the wine intake tonight hehe, but ehhh i'm gonna have a good time. i hope you all do too!

party, I'm glad you're going to try the recipe! You'll love them!

LiLLy, I'm sorry you're having some trouble now. I hope you can get off the plateau and slip well below 168.

When you did the 30 DS, did you follow her diet plan?

I'm almost at the end of it, and I haven't followed her diet. I wonder if you saw more results with it or not.

Thanks.
