  • sun - YAY!!! Congrats for you... hopefully it sticks for a few days so you can count it!

fashin - Good idea bringing the scale along, have tons of fun!!

lilly - Considering all that you're working against, you're doing great! You'll stick in the 160s for sure... Here's to 168!

kirjava - YAY! on the loss! 5 lbs left until you're outta here!

    ...down to 165 this week.
  • Congratulations, sun! I'm glad that stubborn last pound finally left for good!

Thanks for the encouragement, stargzr! Once I hit 160, I will definitely be the smallest I've ever been. I know for sure that I weighed 163 about 5 years ago, but I may have had one weigh-in at 161 back then, so I'll count 160 as my lowest.

stargzr, your goal says 161. You're so close! Are you planning to stop there, or will you re-evaluate when you get there?
  • Hey! I had to join this thread because the 160's are seriously the bane of my existence! I feel like I am literally scratching and clawing my way down- man, it's not easy! For some reason, I seem to get stuck at 165. I lost about 70 pounds a couple of years ago, hit 165 and got completely stuck. I'm at it again and have BATTLED to break that 165 mark. My last weigh-in was seriously 164.9, but I'll take it. Now, I want out of the 160's...forever . I feel like I'm in good company here!
  • Sooo close. just over 3 lbs and i'll be joining the 150s club. Can't wait to get there! How was everyone's v-day? Mine was pretty quiet, but I had a NSV victory at work. I work in a grocery store and 2 of my coworkers and 3 of my regular customers noticed and complimented me on my weightloss!
  • Welcome, tuende! You've lost a lot of weight and I hope you're able to work your way out of the 160s along with us!

Congratulations on your NSV, MiSSxB! Doesn't it feel great when people notice a loss?
  • Congrats to all you ladies! Everyone is doing great.

I weighed in at 168.8 this morning. TOM is still here and well the weekend wasn't exactly OP at all but I still managed to loose a lil that TOM has on me. I'm going to see a friend in Austin next weekend so I would like to be 165 by then. Gotta get in gear to make that happen. Have a good day everyone.
  • Ok so my WI this morning said 168.8 which means I gained .8 since last week but Im still 168 so i'll take that as a victory in itself. Im kinda worried I wont make my March goal of 164 now...but oh well...we'll see how it all goes.

TOM is over, the stress factor should be reduced at work and well everything else I'll deal with Definitely going to kick this weights butt and get rid of it for good
  • I get to join this thread finally. 169.6 this morning!!!
  • starmac13 - yay welcome!!!
  • kirjava - Yeah, my gw says 161... but I'm not happy yet with how I look so I'll likely go lower. I think that once I get there I'll stop paying so much attention to the numbers and more about how I feel/look.

tuende - WELCOME!!! Hope your stay here is short.

miss - Awesome nsv!! It's always great when others notice and compliment.

mojo - 165 is totally do-able for you!

    lilly - Kick away! hehe

starmac - Good to see you around here!! Congrats of moving out of the 170s!

I'm so excited for all of us to see each other in the 150s thread next! We can so get outta here!!
  • Thanks for the encouragement! And srargzr, I hope my stay here is short too Not that I don't like you guys, I just feel like I will literally go insane if this takes me too much longer! Anyone have any tips on staying sane when the scale doesn't seem to budge?
  • Hey guys! I'm new to posting and this forum, I've done a lot of surfing but am just now beginning to use this board as a resource for aiding in my personal weight loss journey :-) I was at this exact place 2 years ago, and over about 6 months dropped to about 140lbs. I became discouraged once I hit a plateau and eventually went back to all my old habits, landing me, over time, back to this spot :-S
GOOD NEWS, though! In the last few weeks I have gotten serious about doing something about my weight. I have a closet full of clothing that I can't fit into! ...and I REFUSE to buy new clothes in my current size..lol. So I've just changed up my diet and frequency of eating over the last couple of weeks and BANG, I lost 6 pounds! :-) feeling pretty good about it at the moment, but like you all, I can't wait to get out of the 160s!!
I've got to say, these forums for each particular decade (?) of weight seems to be very helpful and supportive! What a good idea!
@ tuende, maybe you can try to remind yourself of the big picture? You've lost over 70 pounds! What an accomplishment! Those same habits that got you to where you are now will help you get to when you want to be. Don't forget how much work you've put in, when you feel frustrated with the scale not moving. Maybe you've kept an old pair of pants from when you were at your HW? Try them on, if you have. I bet you'll feel amazing :-)
  • hi ladies! boy the 160s just kill meh! i bounce around all over them, but can't seem to break through for more than 36 hours maybe.

i'm hoping by the end of the month i'll at least be tiptoeing into the 150s...i can hope; i will work, and we shall see!

sometimes i wonder if this is sorta my equilibrium weight decade (yes decade i use that too nurse!)? has anyone been stuck here for awhile? that may be a really stupid question cause DUH of course. we're all fighters!
  • WELCOME nurse & party!!!! May both of your stays be short as well.

tuende - I wish I had something magical to say about staying motivated... but I'm sad to say I don't. I think for me, this journey has been quite a ride. I've learned to stay OP even when the scale doesn't budge because I used to throw in the towel and say, I may as well have some chips then... but I always regretted it when the scale went the wrong way. So, if I just stay the course, it'll go down eventually... and if it doesn't, that means I need to change something. (just my personal thoughts)

I'm sittin' at 165 today... and I'm going to be a water buffalo! hehe Using water to wash away the weekend!
  • It's great to have you here, Nurse and party!

I think the 160s are a tough weight decade to get out of. Depending on your height, the 160s can be close enough to looking good that you loosen up and cheat, yet still far enough away from looking perfect that you... also loosen up and cheat. I think that's why I've never broken out of them before.

This thread is great because we can encourage and push each other until we do get out of them!
