my running partner had a leg injury a few days prior and she is my real motivator. i ended up doing CrossFit with my husband... what we call the dirty thirty. Kicked my butt. running probably would have been easier. I'll post once I do my first run. Really hoping I can get a partner because i never really got into running solo.

I'm in my 9th week and I've been bouncing from 172.6-176.4 all week. This was my 1st week to ever cheat and I'm paying the price. After my first week I stopped having any cravings and now after my 'cheat' they've started again. I'm sure the sugar did it to me....so here's to not cheating until goal!

Hi,

Did you say you've been bouncing between 172.6-176.4 this week or for the past few weeks?

I have been stuck up and down from 176-174 for SEVERAL weeks and it's driving me crazy. I have not been cheating as far as points, but have eaten dark chocolate and some other sugar (within my points) but am beginning to think I need to give up all sugary foods. I already eat all whole grains, no white rice/bread/potato/pasta etc, so it technically should not be so hard but TOM is tough, and I am beginning to realize I only really have ONE week that I feel in control. I'm either eating bc of TOM or because it's the 2 weeks before - which does not help. But I suppose if I stopped all the sugary snacks the cravings would go away.

I tried eating less than my points or the extra points and gained. So I am now using at least all my dailies plus most of my extra. I can't up my exercise anymore than I do right now. 90 minutes of hot yoga is very tough and burns almost 700 calories! I do it 5x a week!!! Can't do much else bc I had foot surgery last September, so can't do cardio class, treadmill etc. I have also started doing a bit of weights for upper arms and legs before yoga.

I don't know, I'm just so frustrated I spent the whole day on the couch feeling sorry for myself, which I know will lead me NOWHERE! : )

Thanks for listening!

I'm at 172.4! @calmeida I had been bouncing between 174-176 for a few weeks and it is so incredibly frustrating! I also had the cravings and found that when I limited myself to a few pieces a day it helped with the cravings, so instead of maybe a chocolate bar I'd have a hershey kiss and it helped me start to control the cravings. Also starting weights is a fantastic idea! When you build muscle it helps you lose fat in the long run so keep at it and good luck! You can do it

Hi ashori602!

Congratulations! I can't wait to see that number and will be sooo happy when I'm below 170!!!

I weighed myself today for hahas and went from 174.8 to 176... that's what I mean, it's just too crazy and frustrating. I know it must be water weight but UGH!

Hadn't worked out for 4 days, was just tired. Am heating up my room for yoga and will do that and my upper body weights. I have to think of it as brushing my teeth and just do it...

I stopped buying sweets. I like Chobani greek yogurt and although there is sugar it has 14 gms of protein. Way better than a kozy shack pudding or chocolate (let's see how long this lasts) but figure that could be a better dessert. I do have some dark chocolate kisses left from valentines so maybe that can be an emergency stash and I'll have one! : )

Let's just keep on going.

Take care!

Default Set point

Has anyone heard of that?

If so, do you think that's why it's so hard to push through certain "numbers" regardless of how hard you work, and eventually it breaks down?

I'm still here but happy to report in 3 lbs lighter! Hip hip horray!

I hear the frustration from calmeida and meminus ... Hang in there. Maybe try upping your calories for a few days to spark you metabolism. If your body thinks you are taking in too few calories it will make it harder to lose. Crazy bodies!

Ashori,

Other than Chobani, which is delicious with new flavors like apple and cinnamon, pineapple and passion fruit all that when mixed taste like mousse, Oikos makes greek yogurt with chocolate and one that is with caramel - it's a little tart as yogurt would be, but again, full of good protein, low fat and absolutely helps the chocolate craving and it is way better than regular pudding empty calories!

Hope you like it!!!! (and no, I am not a sales person for them : )

DocAud,

I do believe I need to up my water - how much do you guys drink? I heard that doing hot yoga I need to drink almost twice what we are "required" to drink...

I give myself usually a "binge" day, within my weight watchers points and using some of my weekly extra, but eat what I want rather than focusing on whole grains, fruit etc. I figure this shakes things up since I add extra fat and other more not so great foods. But I really don't want to up my calories. I gain weight at the drop of a hat, and try to stay within my points. I did however, notice that when I didn't eat all my weekly points (with the extra) I gained. So there is definitely a method for eating extra. Eating less than what I was required didn't' help AT ALL : )

I thought with all the exercise I do (about 25 extra points a week, 90 minutes of exercise 4-5x a week) I should be seeing differences on the scale. I have lost inches, but I WANT NUMBERS!!!

Frustrating, but will keep on trying. Something has to give at some point...
