How is everyone doing here? I was 177.6 at my last weigh in. I have another on Thurs and between my birthday on Sat and the Super Bowl I'm a bit nervous! My nutritionist has forbidden me from weighing in at home which has actually been a huge relief!
My stress is that we're going to the beach in June and I really wanted to wear a bathing suit for the first time in like 20 years. Last year was the first time we'd been in over a decade and I wore bike pants, a sports bra and a huge teeshirt... even in the water. So I'm uber freaked I won't make it... breathe in, breathe out
Took a detour and I think I'm going to have to expect these from time to time. Medical emergencies with my husband and the loss of a close relative set me back this month. I stopped tracking calories for over two weeks and I did not want that to happen at all. Well I started again yesterday and braved the scale. Was so relieved that it didn't jump up into the 180s, so relieved. Now to avoid going over calories again.
New to this forum Took me over two months to get out of the 180s hopefully it wont take as long to get past the 170s either xD
ashore,
it's good to see another kindred spirit. I've been here (170s) over a month but had several set backs. I also look forward to 160's forum. I hope we can head over together ... Who is with me!
I'm in!! I think I have a few more weeks of the 170s but they feel like they've been stubborn! Been really trying to work out more and keep it going! Hope everyone is doing well!
I've recently crept into the 160s. I'm right around 167. My goal weight is 140
bellydance... looks like you have similar goals to mine. i hope you find the forum helpful... i'm looking forward to joining you in the 160s soon!

fyreflie, keep it up! I know it helps to have the encouragement. I planned my first run since 2010 to be next tuesday. so nervous! but excited to.
Haven't been here in a while, and guess what? STILL in the 170's!!! Going between 177-173, still doing Weight Watchers diligently, and exercising EVERY DAY for at least 1.5 hours.
I'm very discouraged. I am going to measure myself and hope I can at least start seeing improvements... I know I have lost weight bc my clothes are looser, but who doesn't want the numbers to go down? I certainly do...
I have a friend who was 256 and had the stomach binding and is now 116...less than a year. I want to do it naturally, and although I am very happy for her, it hurts when I am working so hard...
DocAuD: Exciting on the run! Please check in, I want to hear about it! I got on my bike finally yesterday and though it was only a half hour (lots of climbing though) I felt really good. I'm working with a nutritionist to balance the sports and weight loss part... makes such a difference!
calmeida5018: The nutritionist I'm working with does body fat too... she told me that the rule of thumb is 1 lb of muscle lost for every 3 lbs of fat (so a 4:1 ratio). She said I'd lost no muscle in the last three weeks so that I'd actually lost about 3 more pounds than were being reflected on the scale. Fat loss doesn't always show up on the scale, or at least not immediately. She says clothing is a more accurate measure than the scale in all reality. I find too, sometimes when I take a day off, make sure I'm drinking copious amounts of water and maybe even some green tea, I'll see a drop in the scale. All that said, I get totally frustrated with the scale!!! Keep up the great work! It's all going to pay off!
Yes, no budge on the scale despite eating right and exercising like crazy, so have my tape measure in hand and am doing that from now on...It was interesting to see how during the week I went from 177-173 then back to 177...but frustrating nonetheless.
I wish I'd started measuring before I started exercising, but since I didn't I'll start now. I'll still weigh in, but am considering every other week, so I don't freak over the scale - what do you think? Or better to stick with weight watcher "rules" and do it once a week?
I'm sad but am going to keep going - this has to change at SOME point!!!!
Holding at 174... waiting for TOM to go away. Biked 35 miles with a friend (on my very heavy comfort bike!) and have an event tonight but really hoping that I can keep consumption in check and see a drop this week at the Thursday weigh in!
I weighed myself on Friday, my official weigh in day from Weight Watchers, 177. Weighed myself again today, 175. It keeps on rolling like that for the past weeks. I even got to 173. Started measuring this week to at least see if that is more encouraging. I am excited about the scale showing 175, but I've seen this before and by Friday it goes back to 177, but for good luck I changed the ticker : ). Excited that today is my last day of my Hot Yoga Challenge, 30 days! Whew!!!! Now I have to decide what to do next!
