Thank you! I'm still kind of recovering from a bout of food poisening that had me in the hospital for a day/night, but I'm determined to be in the 130's by Valentines day!

Hi everyone! I'm just recently in the 140's and have 10 lbs to go to reach my long awaited goal. My body is really trying to hold onto these last 10 lbs, they are friggin hard to lose! I was stuck at 152/153 for a long while and am now here after lots of struggling. I don't know what it will take or how long it will take to get to the 130's but i know i'm in for a battle. Some days i'm up for it, some days I think i have come so far and maybe I should just be happy at this weight, but it's hard to accept not reaching a goal I set for myself so i'm going to try my darndest.

I'm doing the Ideal Protein protocol, what method is everyone else using?

Hi level headed girl. I always have the same issue right around the weight I am now. It's the weight I was at for the longest amount of time (through most of college and my senior year of high school) and I think my body likes to sit there. I just have to power through. I watch calories. I don't cut out any one food, because I know if i say it's off limits, I'll start wanting it. But I am watching my portions and trying to eat better over all. I haven't added official exercise, but i'm trying to be up and more active in general.
How does the Ideal Protein Protocol work?
Every one is doing so awesome! Every time I come in this thread, I smile.

As for myself, I'm getting a little sick. My mom had a cold last week, and I think it's finally hit me after fighting it off for a while. I will try my d@mndesst to not eat comfort food while sick. I also got chomped on by a kitty at work today, so I'm in the "i'm injured, I don't want to do anything mindset." I'm going to try to push through it.

Hi all - I am down to 144 this morning! Kinda nice to be on the downside of the decade! I don't know what I'm going to do when I see the 130s...faint or cry from happiness, probably!

Everyone is doing such a great job...you are all wonderfully motivating!

fatpants (love the name!) That is awesome! I don't know what 144 feels like, but i bet it feels pretty damn good! keep on pushing, only 5 more pounds till the 130's!

JadeBlue-I hear ya about the exercise thing. I do cardio at the gym a couple times a week but it is a battle to go anymore than that. I keep telling myself that i should do weight training because i know it will help boost my metabolism and help me get to my goal, but it is really hard to change habits and find time to fit it in. My bf gets up at 5:30 every morning to weight train, you'd think it would be a good motivator for me, but nope, it's way easier to roll over and sleep until my alarm goes off, lol. It is definitely tough to get that motivation when your feeling a little under the weather. Don't be too hard on yourself, maybe your body is telling you to rest up, then you can go full force when whatever it is is gone from your system.

Ideal protein is a program that focuses on taking in adequate amounts of protein (not high protein like atkins) combined with a low carb low fat diet. The science behind it is to re-train your pancreas to process carbs in a more efficient manner rather than turning them into sugars and storing as fat. The program also puts your body into ketosis where you burn your own fat as energy but ensures you consume enough protein so you maintain muscle tone. I'm probably not explaining it very well, but it does work if you follow it to a T. It is very strict on what you can/can't eat and one "cheat" can throw your body chemistry off so much that the process is not effective. This is what i'm struggling with right now, can't stop myself from sneaking spoonfulls of peanut butter! there is a good thread about it on this site under carb counters "other low carb diets"

Hey girls! I am super excited to join this thread after weighing in consistently at 149 for the past 6 days!!! I am at my lowest adult weight EVER so this is all uncharted territory for me.

My younger sister is getting married on June 5th and I am going to be a bridesmaid and I really want to be at goal by then. I want to look good for the wedding pictures!!

Looks like everybody else is doing really well--some of you guys are almost on your way out. Let's keep it up!

Hi Ladies, I am just getting back to having time to post on 3FC. I love the "decade" posts! I am lowish in the 140s but I think it will take me awhile to get into the 130s given that I have been hovering around 142-143 for a few weeks :/

Fat Pants- What halfs are you running? I am in CO too and am planning on running the Horsetooth half in April.

Hi everyone! I'm super excited to be joining this thread.

I weighed in at 148.5 lbs for 2 days straight now so I think I can safely say I'm not in the 150s anymore.

I look forward to interacting with all of you.
