Wow…I am a home now half-way through my 10.5 hour split shift and then have to go straight from work to my sisters birthday dinner party…can we say exhaustion/stress/food/cake/ice cream…get the idea? But instead of using my pity party as an excuse to eat whatever I want, I’m going to work out on my break and eat reasonably through the party…I think can…
Good Morning Friends!
I made it through the first day without caving in! I didn’t do quite as well as I would have like to…but still so much better that I have been…which means I’m probably right where I belong :-) It was a challenge and blessing that I ended up working a 9 and 1/2 split shift…the only time I felt slightly out of control was when I ate 2 rolls with butter for lunch instead of something better…but the good news is I didn’t decide that tomorrow was a better day to start, or that the entire thing was futile…no, I just carried on and just watched my meals a little closer for the rest of the day…All said and done I am through the worst of the doubt and have finally begun to hope and believe that I can actually accomplish this thing…The first step…
I saw this quote in the herald today….
“Maybe the shortest day of the year happens this week so that we don’t wait until January the first to affirm our faith in the future.
Maybe it’s a reminder that, by Christmas Day, we’re well started on the journey to the new year, with its untouched possibilities
And hopes. And dreams.”

| “Confront the dark parts of yourself, and work to banish them with illumination and forgiveness. Your willingness to wrestle with your demons will cause your angels to sing. Use the pain as fuel, as a reminder of your strength.” | |
| August Wilson I’ve been looking for an appropriate occasion to finally decide to get things together and what better day to begin my journey out of darkness than the shortest day of the year… My goal is to travel the distance between now and the longest day of the year in July hopefully ending up in a much better…healthier place… To start things off I going to participate in the upcoming 3FC Biggest Loser Challenge and hopefully begin blogging as often as possible…Follow me… good things are going to happen! |
