day 6: monday: carb and mince lamb overload!

today has been a diet disaster. carb overload!

today’s weight 168.2lbs. lost 1lb from yesterday.

i actually woke up at around 8am, i think. all by myself but then i thought it was too early and went back to sleep. i think though i wont do that next time, and just get up!! as soon as i wake up naturally will fight to open my eyes and wake up even if it means lying in bed listening to my audio book. at the moment listening to the 3rd book of the twilight saga :)

so i eventually got out of bed at 9.45am.

i did 18 minutes of jumping on the trampoline! :-)

breakfast- 1 peach.

lunch - stir fried mince lamb , 1 wholewheat pita bread. some salad, some yellow daal. some vegetables.

i was tempted to have 3 hershey kisses. but instead i had 8 almonds and 4 cashews. the kisses are sitting in my drawer.

i then had dinner. more stir fried mince lamb. 1 wholewheat pita bread. 1 slice of bread. and 1/4 sandwhich of salad, cheese, and mayo and magarine.

i then had another mini dinner , unintentionally!!! this time curry mince lamb, with half a roti.

so alot of over eating today and carb loading! will have to treat today as CHEAT DAY! and be good for the rest of the week!! except for weds, as i’m going out on weds. but the other days i will be :)

 

 

day 5: sunday

my weight, is the same as yesterday, no gain. which is good. 169.2lbs.

i woke up at 8.40am!! that’s a first for me. and i forced myself to stay awake! read my book in bed as the sun was shining in. which was nice. and then i did a work out with ab exercises, and squats with weights.

it was really nice to have an early start to the day. i was really proud of myself! by the time i was showered and changed it was only midday. so felt like i had the whole day infront of me.

i made a big salad for lunch. which will be eating for the rest of the week.

my food confession:

1 peach. 1 plum

lunch : 3 leg roast chicken pieces. salad. vegetables, and 4 or 5 small roast potatoes.

dessert mango milkshake with 1 fresh mango. 1 glass of semi skimmed milk, some water, and 2 tablespoon of sugar.

i treated myself since it was sunday hehe.

and that was all. no dinner. as the lunch was quite late afternoon. then just drank water.

me going to study for abit then head for bed. i was going to watch a dvd, but it’s too late now :( will watch it tommorow instead. i’m gonna continue this whole being in bed by midnight ! and waking up early. will listen to the gabriel cd tonight. 3rd night tonight am listening to it.

Day 4: tennis and free books

Day 4:

today’s weight = 169.2lbs - lost 0.6lbs from yesterday. total weight loss = 4.2lbs. no doubt this is probably just all water, but makes me feel good nonetheless!

played tennis today, for 2 hours! was a good workout. was a beautiful day today. blue sky, full sunshine. perfect weather for tennis. i did some good shots and got some nice compliments from the coach and fellow players. they were being really kind. one of the members said my outfit was really cute :) and everyone was so nice and friendly and welcoming. i had a good time, and met a new woman that was really sweet.

on the way back at the tube station, there was a shelf full of books and a sign saying, take 1 book (free) and so i did! how sweet was that. just picked a book by random. its quite a hefty book, dunno if i will like it, if not will just return it back then when i go back next time haha. its like a library lol.

today was a good day. i woke up at 8.59am! all by myself. and got out of bed by 9.30am. was not stressed, was relaxed, got ready and was on time for once! actually early! played quite well. did some good shots and got some compliments.

the ONLY negative thing was one of the girls i was playing against, when i went to fetch one of the balls from the back of the court, i was so tired and my legs were hurting, that i just walked slowly to get the bag, and she jovially shouted “come on Echo ! get the ball quickly” or something to that effect.  i know she meant it in a friendly manner,  and said it in a friendly jovial way. but it made me feel bad :(. anyways i wont take it personally! and wont let it ruin my day. i’m so sensitve. haha. i feel better about it already. anyways next time no matter how tired i am, will jog lightly to fetch the ball. the other person probably feels impatient. and i’ll slowly improve my fitness, will take time. i’m not going to feel bad that my fitness isnt top knotch yet.

well last night  i listened to the gabriel method cd, and i dunno if its a placebo effect, but i felt really good today.  i wasnt obsessed with food. i ate when i was hungry, and i ate fresh fruit, and raw salad, aswell as cooked vegetables.

my food confession:

breakfast - 1 banana

exercise : 2 hours of tennis. and lots of walking.

post exercise snack - 1 peach, 2 apricots.

late lunch/dinner - yellow Daal (lentil soup) cooked vegetables in itallian herbs (carrots, brocoli and green beans), raw carrots, cucumber, abit of low fat yoghurt.

dessert - about 1/4 cup of mango juice (from a carton) that i poured into a small bowl, and treated it like some sort of dessert that i drank with a spoon! hehe

evening snack - half a bowl of yellow daal. and then a glass of mango juice. (was craving something sweet).

and that’s me done for today!

 

Day 3: friday

Last night I was feeling quite hungry but I resisted to snack on anything, as i had taken 4 oxytablets.  This morning, I weighed myself, and have gained 0.2lbs since yesterday.

start weight = 173.4
todays weight = 169.8  lbs
weight change since yesterday (169.6) =gained 0.2lbs

total weight loss = 3.6lbs

woke up at 10.20am

12pm: pre workout snack:  6 cherries. 1 peach. 1 plum. water

exercise: jumping and dancing on my mini trampoline for 17minutes.

dinner at 5pm: big bowl of yellow daal. onion and tomato salad. cucumber, carrots. 2 fried eggs in a little bit of olive oil.

dessert : 2 tablespoons of peanut butter. 8 cashews

I just ordered the Gabriel method on amazon. I’m very excited to start reading it! I heard about it from a fellow blogger here. Thanks (insert blogger’s name when i find it again!).

I also downloaded the free cd from his site, by entering the word Heart, and he then emails you the track which you can burn on cd. The author himself said the password on amazon, which I thought was nice of him to do that!

no dinner tonight. as i had a very late and big lunch. i’m feeling quite peckish, but wont be eating anything now, as its midnight, and i wont then be able to go to sleep.  I am playing tennis tommorow for about 2 hours, so need to go to bed now and get some ZZZzs.

I’m so craving a tuna baguette from pret! i love it so much haha. i could eat 2 of those easily! found out, they are about 500 calories for one.  on my next cheat day , which is next wednesday if i venture into town, i will have 2 of those! or maybe 1, and a chicken caeser one. haha i’m daydreaming about it. how sad lol.

usually i daydream about macdonalds. but the last time i had a quarter pounder with cheese, it was really nice, and i was in heaven!

 but then i had a big mac aswell (yes i was a real pig that day!) but i kid you not, i felt physically sick half way through my big mac. that has NEVER happened to me before. and i rememebered the guy from that supersize me documentary.  i guess it was my stomachs way of saying. this is complete crap and garbage! stop eating it. but i hate throwing away food especially since i paid for it. so i finished it. but earlier this week, when i said to myself, i can have a macdonalds burger, i didnt want it, i kept trying to convince myself that its okay, but i kept going towards pret instead. and ended up having a tuna baguette and one of those slim posh cheese and pickle sandwhiches- strange that. even though i love quarter pounder with cheese i really do. but i dunno, i might stay away from it for awhile. maybe might make it at home myself! haha considering how much crap probably goes into the meat!!

Day 2: thursday

I just made myself a ticker, which was fun!

Well last night before I went to bed I took 4 oxytablets, I haven’t taken them for awhile, and thought it would aid my weight loss.

This morning, I weighed myself and was pleasantly suprised. 169.6lbs, yesterday evening I was 173.4lbs.  Ideally I should have weighed myself yesterday morning instead of the evening.  I know the weight loss is all due to water and bowel movements, but it has given me the motivation to stick with the diet!

I measured my waist today, which I never do. I found out how to find the perfect waist for your height.

divide your height by 2. your waist should not exceed half the size of your height.

My height is 5ft 7. I then converted that into inches, = 68inches. Then divided it by 2. My waist should be below that number.

so 68inches divided by 2 = 34 inches. You measure your waist around your belly button.

Currently my waist is 37 inches. So I need to lose 3 inches around my belly!

EXERCISE CONFESSION:

running/walking. I ran/jog at 1 minute intervals in between walking.  ( I cant run/jog for more than 1 minute, my left shin starts to hurt!).

total run time clocked - 10 minutes.

total distance covered walking/jogging = 2.61 miles

calories burned = 334.4 calories

number of steps = 5719.

FOOD CONFESSION

17.12: post workout snack : fruit (2 peaches, 1 plum, few cherries) and water

19.45: dinner: appetizer - bowl of honey dew melon pieces.

2 barbeque chicken kebabs. onion, tomato and raddish salad. carrots, cucumber, yoghurt, yellow lentil soup.

peppermint tea - (no added sugar or honey- just plain)

Day 1…wednesday

my confession from today

i woke up late today (11am) i was so tired, but i forced myself to workout. i did loads of squats with hand held weights and stomach crunches.

throughout the day i felt tired. but didn’t take a nap.

after my workout i ate: 2 peaches, some cherries, 1 plum.

then after an hour or so, i had lunch - steamed vegetables, turnips and lamb stew, and bowl of lentils, pickled onions, home made yoghurt.  

for dessert, i had 40g of fruit and fibre cereal with half a cup of milk.

then for dinner at 9pm. i had some vegetables, turnips and lamb stew, 2 carrots, pickled onions, and home made low fat yoghurt.

and a small slice of watemelon.

i’m going to go to bed at midnight tonight, as i am feeling so tired. i am hoping if i go to bed early, i will wake up early tommorow. i will go for a run tommorow.

Hello world!

Welcome to my diary!  I will be using this blog to track my daily food intake and exercise regime. My goal is to get down to 150lbs with a BMI of 25.

My diet will be very simple.

No bread, no carbs, no sweets, no crisps, basically no junk food, no processed foods, no cereals.

Every meal will consist of vegetables, some protein (meat/fish/eggs) and lentils.

One day a week, I will let myself eat whatever i want - this will be on Sundays.
