Hi Chickies,

Down 6 lbs since challenge began. Just taking it day by day. Seems like everyone is doing really well. Stay strong and good luck to all.

Hi all,

Just checking in. I’d check more often but my computer monitor at work faces the door, so I can’t be on non-work related sites too often. So annoying. You’d think they want us to be productive or something.

Anyhow, I was down 3 lbs. at my Friday WW meeting. I had a weekend full of food landmines and I stepped on a lot of them. Oops. But I also had a soccer tournament on Saturday and played 5 games, which I figured would cancel it all out. The scale doesn’t seem to agree, though, so I have to keep on the straight and narrow this week to get a good weigh-in on Friday.

Kelly – you were asking about average weight loss in a week. Last time I lost the weight I aimed for 1-2 lbs per week on average. Some weeks I’d see a bigger drop, others I’d see no drop, but it did average out. I didn’t particularly want to lose more quickly because I wanted to have an eating style that I could maintain, and I did maintain for a good two years. From everything I’ve read and experienced, maintenance is actually harder than losing, so I’m in no big rush to get to goal.

Thanks, Michele! I'm hoping to continue at about 2 pounds per week, but we'll see what happens! My ULTIMATE goal is to be at my goal weight and maintaining by the big 4-0, and I think it's doable since I still have 15 months to go. Just gotta keep the good vibes around and continue the feelings of this is a lifestyle, not a diet....

Have a good day!!

Went to my doctor today for a checkup and their scale showed a 1 pound gain - we can only hope it's not the same as the WW one. I'm going to push the water and NO EXTRA points until weigh in on Thursday - YIKES!!!!

I agree with Rosegarden, all losses, no matter how big or small are awesome! Stacynac, I'll take a pound lost over a pound gained any day! As in the words of Dori from Finding Nemo, "Just keep swimming, just keep swimming!"

Girls, I totally hear ya.....I think I am just a tad snarky due to mega PMS. My dh works away for 2 weeks & then is home for 2 weeks. I just told him on the phone (not 10 minutes ago) that he might not wanna come home tomorrow cuz I am "b*tchy-bloat mode" He just laughed.....In a few days my world will be back to normal & all will be well

I was on the *****y - no carbs mode yesterday. DH made me some Gemelli last night and it was heaven. I measured and wrote and it fit into my program just nicely. I felt a bit better. I cannot survive on protein and veggies/fruit alone. I needed those carbs.

ohh I am scared as usual I have my weigh in today if I can muster up the nerve to go...I have been having such a hard time and I am switching to winter clothes becuase it is so cold here...that always adds pounds to the scale! Maybe a wake up call is what I need, I am getting close to a healthy weight for my height so the pounds are not coming off as quickly and it is driving me nutz! I know I haven't been as strict either something I need to evaluate! Good luck and great job to all the losers...speaking of wich the biggest loser starts tonight! Yeah!! That always motivates me!

Ug I'm scared about having to wear winter clothes to weigh in lol. I think I'm going to be one of those that takes lighter clothes to weigh in with and then change back into my normal clothes after I weigh in lol. I can't wait for the Biggest Loser also!! Last season was the first time I really got into it. Prob. cause I felt guilty before lmao. I hope you all have a great day! Good luck with your weigh in today Hildy!
