I am doing the Flex points. For me it is easier. I don't like veggies for the most part. So with Flex I can eat what I want as long as I write it.

Thanks for dancing with me, Chris! I'm still smiling from this morning. Crazy I know, but DH actually said to me earlier this evening "Are you sure you're not losing weight too fast? Keep it up and I'll have to get my bat ready to beat off the neighborhood boys!"

Amy, see if you can add some protien to your diet in different ways, such as eggs or peanut butter. Your body just might be in a "mood" right now!

I'm doing the Flex plan.....I have to be able to eat what I fix for my family, as fixing two meals isn't something I would be able to stick with for the long haul. This way, I eat what they eat, in moderation. I do make a few alterations here or there, like tonight we had chili dogs (had some leftover chili from two nights ago in the fridge that I wanted to use up), fries and a salad for dinner. Alterations included: My dog was an Oscar Meyer light hot dog, while they had regular, I put mine on wonder light bread as opposed to a full fat bun, fries were baked in the oven rather than fried, and I used Kraft Light Done Right salad dressing while they ate full fat ranch. Little changes that add up, but like with the salad dressing, chances are we would have had 2 or 3 different bottles on the table anyway for different tastes. My whole dinner added up to only 8 points.

Hi everyone. I'm new to Weight Watchers but not to 3FC. I have been on the South Beach board before. After a year of struggling and obsessing over what foods I could have and what I was allowed to eat, I'm finally free of all that. I joined Weight Watchers online last Monday and while I've done it before, I wasn't as committed as I am now.

My Halloween goal is to lose 10 more pounds!

Talking

I can't find my original post here, but I wanted to say that I've met my "halfway point" of 5 lbs. (of 10) toward my Halloween goal! I begin exercising tomorrow, so I am DEFINITELY expecting to meet my 10 lb. goal - and hopefully exceeding it too!!! Now to come up with a non-food reward!! Any suggestions?!

Welcome to the group, FreckledFrog. I think you made a good choice switching to WW. I love the program. I was able to go out a breafast buffet this moring. I was able to make better choices, and did real good with portion size and will be able to stay within my points today.

Good deal on the WI, Zzan. Being 1/2 way has to feel good.

Ok, my WI wasn't as good as I had hoped for. I lost a pound. I know what the problem is....I didn't exercise at all this week. Bad, Bad, Chris. My goal for this week is 3 pounds and a lot of walking. With my fibromyalgia and related junk makes it hard to do much more than walk on the treadmill. I am doing a walking challegne on another board. It is a play off the national 10,000 steps a day (from the Heart Asso., I think). With my FM I can't do 10,000 steps so I have set my own goal of 4,000 a day. And we started today...so we will see how many days of a week I can do it.

Wishing everyone well.

Yep what Chris and Kelly said! Just get back up and start out again.

I'm cruising along keep OP but the weight is not going away very fast. I know I need to jump it up with some exercise but it's really, really hard to find the time and to have the gumption to do it. I do have my IPOD all charged for tonight though. Hopefully, I;ll get a good brisk walk in.

Halloween will be here before we all know it

Hello, everyone! I hope everyone is doing well today. Quick post that I am done 2 lbs. Very shocking and great! I have gotten off track, like some others, lately, so trying to go for the upswing. Been really lazy about getting meals packed, drinking water and working out. Now that I know what's up with my knee, I can go with the modified workouts, no excuse not to do anything. The 3 things I am lazy about are the key points in success; I AM happy about the 2 lbs, but must not let this laziness sabotage further success.

have a great one and let's get back in the game!

Hi ladies,

Sorry I’ve been MIA for a while – it’s hard for me to check in often. It sounds like everyone is well on their way to making their Halloween goal…of course, aside from those who have already made it!

I am down 6 lbs so far, with my goal being 12 lbs. It’ll be interesting to see what my weigh-in is this Friday. My home scale is showing a big loss this week, but somehow that doesn’t always translate onto the WW scale.

Welcome to Melody, Sarah, and Freckledfrog – I hope you have success at WW. Freckled – I had a hard time sticking with South Beach. Anytime I feel there’s a food I can’t have – I start to crave it.

Merissa – wow 5 lbs! That’s terrific!

Shelley – 2 lbs – awesome!

Kelly – big congrats on making your 10% - that’s a huge milestone! Also, I was wondering if your family would be open to having the low-fat dressing and lower-fat bun along with you? That way your healthier eating habits could help them cut fat out too. I know my husband and kids have certain things they won’t compromise on, so that’s fine, but I’ve managed to get them eating whole wheat bread and pasta, low-fat dressings, and more ground chicken or turkey rather than ground beef.

Amy – I’m doing flex, just because it’s what I did last time, but I’m pretty careful about getting enough protein. If I have a salad for lunch, I make sure I have some meat/ tuna/ egg/ nuts on it, or have some lunch meat on the side. I usually have meat at dinner, too. Also, milk and cheese provide protein. It’s important to give you long-term energy and to help you feel full, so do try to fit it into your eating plan. Nuts give you your healthy oils, too.

Chris – a pound lost is nothing to be upset about. I’m sure it’s hard to do exercise when there are physical issues to deal with (I know when I pulled my groin a couple of years back, it was a major setback), so kudos to you for keeping with it.

Hildy – good luck getting back on track. One or two bad weeks aren’t such a big deal. It’s when you let that snowball into a bad month and more. Good for you for getting back on track.

Txlawchic – congrats on the 2 lbs lost, and on getting back on track.

Okay I didn't get my walk in last night but I did spend two hours at Hobby Lobby perusing the new store - I know it's not the same as a brisk walk but it did get my mind off the horrible munchy mood I was in yesterday.

26 days to Halloween. I hope to see a loss tomorrow so I can keep heading for the Halloween goal of a total of 10 lbs. I'm at 5.5 so I'm part way there. WHOO HOO
