My mom took me school shopping today - malls from dawn till dusk. Everything I got was off a 75% sale rack except for 3 things that were 40% off, so I didn't do too much damage. Except that she bought a ton of kid clothes for my kids, but she always does that whether I am with her or not. Kinda dorky being a 36 year old teacher who's mom still takes her school shopping.... I tell her it helps me relate to the kids.

Breakfast: oat bran cereal (2), cappacino (2),
Snack: crispy bar (2)
Lunch: Chili's guiltless pita (10), diet pop
Dinner: leftover chicken (3) and sbdb (2)

21 point day

Hi Everyone:

I haven't been totally journaling these past two days, but trying to stay on track. Today I'm going to look at a school nearby for either med admin. assist. or they have courses as a healhcare professional which covers med. assisting, medical coding & billing. So after the interview I'll know what I'm looking at.

It has been rainy and miserable here weather wise the past few days. I kinda get into the blues those days unless I can get to the gym to exercise. So I have probably eaten more than I should. Anyway, can't wait for some sunshine.

I'll post later.

Today was WI and I gained 1.75lbs, which is ok...It's the same weight I had lost last week, and with going on vacation, I'd say that's pretty good....Originally when I weighed on Sat. at Curves I was up 5lbs....so I def. dropped some.
Next week I have to start weighing at night,as my new job starts and I won't be able to go on Wed. mornings anymore..so that'll be different, and I'm sure a gain will be in effect the first week until things get on track w/the timing of weigh ins....
I'll post my day later!

Red face

Hey everyone,
I have wi tonight. I know I'll be disappointed again.
Now that cooler weather is here. I will get back to curves. My a/c is out in my van and it's been 100f+ till the last few days. I work outside on Mon and Tues so going to workout didn't even appeal to me. The other days after the 30min ride to curves I had also lost my desire for anything except a shower...

B-WW yogurt 1
Orange 1

L- lean cuisine meal 6
grapes 1

Wish me luck... NO GAIN! NO GAIN! NO GAIN! PLEASSSE.

Debbie, I wish you the same luck for weigh in that I had last night. My fingers are crossed for you.

Well, I have been successful thus far at getting back on track. I have a really bad cold though. So work out was not as good as it should have been. Here we go so far........

Breakfast
malt o meal 3pts

snack
ff cool whip between a low fat graham cracker 1pt

lunch
hillshire farm pastrami on bread with mustard 3pts (darn it, I am out of light bread)
chips (baked) 2pts

that is 9 out of 24 so far. I burned 328 calories at the gym. I will say 2 points. I know it was more than that, but I don't want to get out my slider.

Have a great day!!!!

I won't get to weigh in until the week after next because they cancelled our meeting on Labor Day. - I may check out other meetings, but it would be a 20+ mile drive to get there. Either that, or try to run and weigh in during lunch on the first day of school .... like I will have time for that.

To he!! in a hand basket. That is what has happened to my eating today.

snack
2 cookies (4?) no package to look at

1 bag of NOT low fat popcorn 5???

That leaves me with 6 whole points for tonight. What do you eat for 6 points? I will try to figure something out. Maybe I can make spaghetti and use the squash instead of real pasta.

On a totally non-related note.......anyone know how long a person can live on dialysis? My grandmother's doctor said her kidney functions show she should be on it now. She is not because she does not feel bad. He said it will happen soon. ??? She is a strong lady and won't even let the family know anything.

Will stop by one more time after dinner. Have a good night.

LOL @ the to **** in a handbasket comment.... I high five you on that. Today I seemed to be addicted to chips, CHIPS of all things...I'm not even a huge chip eater..I don't know what happened.
B: None cuz of WI
L: PB&J w/banana 5pts, chips 4pts (of course, not baked ones....mistake #1)
D: subway turkey and ham 6pts, baked chips 3pts
Then I ate my sons reg. doritios that he got w/his subway....UGH 5pts
S: latte 4pts
27 pts...I could say I got exercise today, since I set up the book fair at our school which meant lifting and carrying ALOT of boxes, I was sweaty...but in all actuality, I know it probably isn't...so I'll chalk it up as a bad day, and jump back on tomorrow. On the Wendie plan, I'm only over by 3, so I can just make tomorrow 3 less than planned. *sigh* Such is life!

Amy

I have a friend who is a kidney dialysis nurse and I will ask her. I do know from talking with her that kidney dialysis takes up a lot of your life. Once you start it, it means 3 full days in the hospital, 6-8 hours per visit. My parents have a friend who lived on it for years...at least 20 years. When she hit 85 years old she was in good health, but simply did not want to continue treatment. Because she was dependent on the dialysis treatment in order for her kidneys to function, the choice she made was to end her life. She lived a full and happy life and her husband had died 15 years before. She was also a strong woman and retired to Florida were she golfed a few times a week on the days she wasn't on dialysis. So maybe your grandmother is frightened with the aspect of what it involves, etc. My sister-in-law's mother was also on dialysis for a year. She is now off of it because her kidneys started to function again. I think if you go into google and type it in, it will also direct you to a link that would give you more information. Hope this info helps.

Melloyan, thanks so much for the info! I hope she can continue on for a bit with out it. I know she thinks it would be the end of everything to spend that much time getting treatment. She does golf, bowl, and have a breakfast club. She stays busy on a daily basis. She is 75. I told my mom I needed her to stick around another 15 years. I would love for her to see my babies grown. We will see.

Debbie, only wonderful people are capable of making the earth shake. Tell him to "walk it off." Keep it up, and congratulations on maintaining.

I have done well today.

Breakfast
ww yogurt 1
go lean crunch 1/3 cup 1

Lunch
Wendy's baked potato 5
small chili (on tater) 4

11 so far. I think I am going to do sketti for dinner. I still am not feeling well, and that is so easy for me to make.

I am going up north to visit my sister when DD gets out of school tomorrow at 2:30. May not have access to a computer for most of the three day weekend. Ugh! We are celebrating my twin niece and nephew's birthdays. I will do my best.
